Hi minna-san, at least my update is earlier than expected. I hope you enjoy reading the chapter.

Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha, but I do own Makoto, Kisara, Jirou and Izayoi, Nishiyo, Sadao, and Rikuto and Akuhei, wow, I hope the listen doesn't go on.

Inuyasha walked a few steps behind his older half brother. His golden-amber eyes set at the retreating form that trekked in front of him. Arms crossed and his ears twitching in the direction to hear the laughter of his daughter and wife, he stopped.

"Look, I'm not going to walk so far away from my family, Sesshoumaru. This is as far as we'll go," Inuyasha had said.

The daiyōkai abruptly halted from moving any farther and looked over his shoulder to stare at his half demon brother. With a curt nod, he nodded to his words to stay stark still with his back still facing to him.

Inuyasha arched a brow when Sesshoumaru remained silent for a little while. It was no surprise after all, on some occasions his half brother would say a few remarks then run off back to the Western Castle. "What is it this time?" He questioned.

Sesshoumaru gazed ahead of himself,"I came to warn you, there is a new enemy in roaming the lands. Nishiyo-oba-san is taking care of the matter, along with Rikuto-oji-san." The daiyōkai turned to face Inuyasha with an austere expression.

"Akuhei is alive, Inuyasha, the father of that damn dragon Ryūkotsusei," He said, his eyes narrowing down at him.

Inuyasha's eyes widened in surprise, not expecting such news out of no where,"His father?"

"Hn," Sesshoumaru advised.

"Damn it," Inuyasha cursed out, his hands balled into fists. His eyes closed to momentarily and let out a sigh, his right hand coming up to his face. His forefinger and thumb pinching the bridge of his nose. "This is a good time for me to leave if you-"

Sesshoumaru growled lowly,"I merely came to warn you. I will not return, just until he is destroyed." He soon fell silent and stood there looking at his half demon brother, but his attention turned to the shrieking laughter in the distance.

At least he's at speaking terms with me, well he rarely said anything usually. Inuyasha nodded and began to walk away, somehow knowing that that was all Sesshoumaru wanted to say. Suddenly, he stopped to realize one important fact. "Hold on a moment, what the hell am I going to tell Rin? You won't be back for a while."

Sesshoumaru glowered at Inuyasha. "She will be returning to the castle. I had given her a choice and given her time to think it over."

Inuyasha frowned in response to his words. He didn't think that Rin had made her decision, even so, the girl was already to be married and had a full life ahead of her. However, he knew that the young adult would have chosen his half brother right away. "You think that's safe? What about the bastard's father, wouldn't he think of going there."

"Only a fool would think to do such a thing," Sesshoumaru answered, turning his back on Inuyasha to walk away.

"Chichiue!" The calls of his son and daughter made him look behind to see them both running to his side, their arms outstretched towards him. Inuyasha glanced over his shoulder to see Sesshoumaru disappear, realizing that he was going to return to where his former ward, without a doubt, was waiting for his arrival.

He then felt his children tug at the billowing sleeves of his robe of the fire rat, pulling excitedly and smiling happily. "Chichiue, we have to go to hahaue, something is happening!" Kisara had shouted. Although he didn't sense anything wrong with the way she had said it.

"You're going to miss it!" Kisara contentedly pointed out, hauling her father out of the forest and into the clearing. She saw her mother by the tree they were prior to the moment they dashed to him.

"Oi, miss what?" Inuyasha questioned as he let his children guide him towards the tree where his wife sat under, and smiled her way when he noticed her gazing at them. Kagome laughed at the small show her children were doing.

"You'll see!" Kisara chorused, her eyes closed tightly in joy and stopped directly in front of her mother,"Mama, mama, do it again. I'm sure Izayoi would do it this time, she almost did it."

Kagome nodded and slowly handed her infant son to her husband, her eyes glazing at him and smiled as he waited patiently when he sat beside her. "All right, now–" Kagome looked down at her youngest daughter and whispered soft words. "Izayoi-chan, look your papa is here now…"

The hand that was placed softly on the infant's belly rose up and she ran a finger on Izayoi's cheek. Then right after, Kagome lightly placed her forefinger and thumb to the tip of her daughter's puppy ear. Giggling softly when the small appendage twitched under her hand and relaxed at her touch.

Inuyasha let out a muffled laugh and gulped he felt Jirou clasp his tiny hand onto his forefinger, holding it tightly in his grasp. Nevertheless taking his eyes off of Kagome and Izayoi.

"Izayoi-chan…" Kagome whispered gingerly and rubbed the base of her puppy ear.

Kisara leaned onto her mother's side and covered her mouth when she bursted out into laughter. Just as soon as her mother rubbed at the small puppy ear a smile was working its way onto her sister's face. Kisara watched and heard the small cooing noises Izayoi made at the tweaking, courtesy of her mother.

"I didn't know that dog demon's purred," Kagome looked into Inuyasha's eyes and smiled deviously at him. Inuyasha blushed a little and his ears flicked when he felt a soft tug on his right ear.

"Chichiue, you don't purr," Makoto played with his ear then Kisara followed suit with her father's left dog ear. Inuyasha deadpanned and stared at Kagome who laughed heartily at them.

"Of course I don't," Inuyasha said, shaking his head to get the small hands off of his ears, he smugly smirked at how wrong Kagome was at her declaration.

Kagome stared at him, her eyes shining with mirth and her lips curled up into a smile. The young mother gazed down at Izayoi,"Your papa does purr, he just doesn't want to admit it."

"Oi!" The shout of false truth from her husband made her stick her tongue out playfully in his direction.

Makoto heard a small shout and he smiled when a familiar pink balloon that floated above the trees headed towards them. The Inu-pup stood on his feet as quick as lightning and dashed toward the kitsune that landed with a pop.

Watching her kids race to tackle her adopted son on the ground, Kagome noticed the small look of worry cross in her husband's eyes,"Inuyasha, what was it that Sesshoumaru needed? Is everything okay with you both? I hate to see you upset."

Inuyasha shook his head, glancing briefly at the infant in his arms that peered at him with wide eyes, then sighed heavily. "I'll tell you once we're home, I will just ruin the day with the news, but…stay on your guard, if you sense anything," Inuyasha stopped to look at her in a very deliberate manner. "Tell me."

Kagome nodded once, agreeing with him and the small glint of alarm in his golden-amber eyes.

Soon enough Shippo joined them and hugged Kagome slowly, aware of the infant in her arms,"Hi Okaa-san." Kagome kissed him on the top of his crown and squealed happily now that she had time to spend with her fox child.

Although, she knew he was no longer a child, but she still treated him like a son, however much more than she did when she was a school girl.

"Oi runt what took you so long in getting back?" Inuyasha said, passing Jirou to the awaiting arms of his daughter, and keeping a close eye on the girl who made baby noises at him.

Shippo sighed and fell back onto the grass,"The twins are a handful, they wanted me to do some fox magic, but I decided against it."

"Why is that Shippo-chan?" Kagome frowned in confusion, wondering why her adopted son denied such a request, especially to such sweet girls like Haruka and Sakura.

Shippo sheepishly scratched the back of his neck,"Because I'll most likely destroy the village. You see my fox magic grew over the years, and it does a lot more damage than it did before." Shippo sat up when he smelt a few familiar scents.

Gazing up at the sky to see a figure fly overhead, Shippo quizzically looked at the forms,"Hey what is Sesshoumaru doing here and where is he taking Rin?"

Kagome looked at Inuyasha, her eyes pleading for him to answer to the simple question. She cared for Rin and although knowing that she is safe with her brother-in-law, she wanted to know why she was leaving the village.

"Don't mind him, he's just taking care of her for a little while at the castle." Inuyasha said.

"Sesshoumaru-oji-san is taking Rin-chan to the castle, why haven't we gone to the castle? Nishiyo-san is there too, how come we can't visit her? Chichiue can't we go one day, please?" Kisara emphasized on 'please.' She looked up at him with her blue eyes watered with fake tears.

"Now isn't a good time, Kisara. And be careful with Jirou, you can't take your eyes off of him."

Kisara nodded and pouted as she held her brother,"Okay." Her eyes then brightened and repeated the motion her mother had done earlier, expecting to see a smile spread across her brother's face. Ever so lightly she rubbed on his ear, grinning enthusiastically.

Her smile faded when Jirou gazed at her, unfazed by the ear rub he was being given by his sister,"Hahaue, Jirou isn't smiling."

Apparently Inuyasha noticed the small movement and glared at the sky. "Great…he's just as emotionless as my brother…"

"Inuyasha!"

Makoto and Kisara exchanged looks as they parents were too involved in disagreeing with each other of how seemingly impassive their brother was. Then the both children bursted out into laughter just right after.

"Rikuto-sama had said that we should keep an eye on Inuyasha-sama's family, has he not?" The guard standing behind his master spoke quite slowly, his katana tied around the obi on his waist. The dog demon glanced around, feeling a different yōki around the area.

"Hn, Rikuto-sama was the one to be going to Edo where he resides, but he had to take of certain matters from Nishiyo-sama," Sadao, placed a hand on the hilt of his sword, his golden eyes trailing around the forest grounds.

His strict orders were to travel by foot and they were entering the Musashi Province, most humans feared yōkai, but they wouldn't be harmed if they were in their humanoid form.
"Is something wrong, Sadao-dono?"

The dog demon unsheathed his sword and flicked it towards the gap between the trees. In his current possession, he had two swords at his side left to be used. "There is something–" He was abruptly cut off when a tail had hit him on his side, knocking him and the other guards into the trees on the other side of the path.

"A snake yōkai?" One of the guards wondered. Sadao raised his hand,"No, it is no snake."

Sadao rose on his feet and growled lowly at the intruding demon,"Why if it isn't Akuhei, what brings you here to us you vermin? I would have thought you were destroyed long ago by the Inu no Taisho."

The guards standing little ways behind took a step back when a overgrown shadow had blocked their way. Sadao's eyes widened only fraction, surprised that the dragon had grown since the last time he had seen him.

"Silence…Inu yōkai scum, I came for the information and the path you seek, where is that damn hanyō. If you do not tell me, I will have to force the information out of you."

Sadao glared and let out a growl that would have frightened most dog demons,"I shall not never say a piece of knowledge, I'd rather die than say it at all."

"That will be arranged soon enough."
