Chapter 10: Bloodlines (Dedicated to cross-over-lover232 for the )

A/N: Hey guys, Lone here. This chapter is dedicated to cross-over-lover232, as he gave me the main part of this chapter, which was getting the DA a cover story. Well, hope you guys like it. Also, I don't HP or RWBY. If i did, Vol 2 would be out, and Harry and Ginny would not have been cannon.

While Yang had gone to Hogsmeade, the rest of RWBY had gone to the library. Blake and Ruby were almost drooling, Ruby closer than Blake, while Weiss was simply impressed. She was no bibliophile like the red and black members of her team. Still, the large amount of books could impressive the most illiterate of people.

Browsing the selection, Weiss came upon a book detailing bloodlines and the history behind each one. Some she recognized as students that were in her team's class before they drop it, and others from the ones that stayed. Mainly, she recognized the names of Malfoy, Longbottom, Greengrass, and the one that caught her attention was the name Potter.

Reading the pages there, Weiss learned that Harry was in a similar position to her, being the heir to the family line. Due to the age of the book, Harry wasn't mentioned, but the rest of his line's dealing were major enough. Fighting in almost every major conflict the Wizarding World has ever been in, Weiss wasn't surprised that Harry was a bit reckless. It seemed like it ran in his bloodline.

Filing away the information for later, Weiss rounded up her teammates, and had to almost drag them out, literally in Ruby's case. It was quite funny for some to see a 'professor' drag another one out of the library like one drags a small child away from a candy shop, or in Ruby's case, a bakery.

Getting back to the room where they taught/slept, the three did what they always did. Weiss practiced her form using a rapier, so that she could teach Daphne better, Blake was reading one of the books she checked out, and Ruby was doing maintenance on Crescent Rose, her High-Velocity Sniper-Scythe.

After about an hour or so, Yang came back, telling them about what Harry had planned. They all threw in support, but Weiss had a different idea. It came from what she read in the library early that day.

"Maybe I could talk to him. Apparently, he comes from a very famous bloodline, not just for him taking down Voldemort. It seems rushing headlong into battle is a common trait in his family. Most only lived long enough to have a son, before dying in some battle, turning the tides in favor of who ever they fought for, normally by sacrificing their life to do so." Weiss explained to the rest of the girls gathered.

"I can relate a little. After all, being the Heiress to the largest Dust provider is not easy. Not at all.." The heiress trailed off. Collecting her thoughts, Weiss looked up at her team, who all nodded their heads at the idea.

"Could work. Im sure between White Fang attacks, Death Eaters, and loss of family, you two have a lot to relate on." Yang said, blunt as always. Blake and Weiss both glared at the blonde brawler.

"Right, too soon." Yang said, hands up in a defensive gesture. The black and white members of RWBY could be scary when they glared. Ruby giggled at the scene. "Alright, so Weiss will talk to Harry next class about getting us into this group their forming. Now, lets go eat. Im hungry, and it's lunch time." the red cloaked girl said, walking out the door to the Great Hall.

The Following day, noon

Team RWBY was at lunch, which was before Physical Combat and Defense 101, much to the chagrin of everyone as it made getting a cramp during training much easier than if it was right before or a class after lunch.

Eating was quick affair with the girls. Ruby sat with the Gryffindors, Blake with the Ravenclaws, Yang was with the Hufflepuffs, and Weiss sat with the Slytherins. Really it more she sat with Daphne, and her little sister Astoria, but they were snakes, so Weiss got lumped with the whole house. It annoyed her, but she let it go. No use fighting a battle up a vertical wall.

Following lunch, the team quickly got back to the classroom, going over weapons one more time before the students got there. Nobody wanted to use a dull blade that was chipped. If it was dull, at least it should be in good condition.

Once class started, the members took their students to each part of the room they used. Yang had a boxing ring set up, with three weight rack set up, so that way her student's could build up the muscle mass needed to be effective in a close quarters fight.

Blake had a long length of open floor, so that the chains wouldn't be caught on anything. She also had targets set up for them to hi, with both the chain-sickle and katana's they were learning to wield. Ron had at first complained, but when he saw that using a katana in his left and sickle in his right helped to alleviate the off-balance feeling the weapon made. This feeling was shared with Neville and Dean.

Weiss had a fencing lane set up to teach Daphne. After all, it was how both were taught, and it helped to be in a familiar setting when learning something. At least, that's what Weiss was hoping it would do.

And finally, Ruby had the rest of the room for her shooting range for the three rifle users, and a clear area to teach the two scythe wielders in training. While Ruby was no master of the scythe, she was still leagues behind her Uncle Qrow, she was still good enough to teach the two girls wanting to learn the basics, and help them as they moved up.

With the rifle users, they had after the first week moved on to different rifles. It had been a struggle for Ruby to convince Dumbledore to get her new, improved and stronger rifles, but he saw the reasoning. After all, if the school was ever attacked, the last thing any attackers would expect were bullets flying at them. So, relenting, Dumbledore was able to get in touch with a few of his contacts outside the Order and get his hands on an Arctic Warfare Super Magnum, or as Ruby liked to call it, an AWSM, a MK14-EBR, and an L85A2. The last one, being a British rifle, had been the easiest to get. Still, he also bought the correct ammo types. .338 Lapua for the AWSM, 7.62x51mm for the MK14, and 5.56mm rounds for the cost him a lot of galleons, but he saw it as worth it. Even if he was one for trying to redeem as many as possible, maybe Alastor was right. You can't win a war by letting the enemy go, as the old Auror would say.

Ruby was over the moon with the new weapons, as Dumbledore had gotten two each. One for the students to use, and one for Ruby to dissect and learn the inner working of so she could make her own and improve upon the designs currently.

Getting help from the Ancient Runes teacher, Professor Babblings, Ruby was able to get replication runes etched into the magazines for each of the weapon ordered, one of her cross clips, a normal clip, and Yang's ammo belt for her shot-gauntlets.

Back to the shooting range, Hermione was getting used to the kick back of the AWSM, as it was much higher than that of the little .22LR rifles used before. Seamus was in love with the MK-14 EBR, as it was semi-auto, allowing for the irishmen to increase his fire rate and retain most of his accuracy at the same time. Hannah however, was surprised at the L85A2 she was using. it felt right in her hands, as it was a support weapon, and was accurate as well. She enjoyed the burst firing she was getting a hang of, as it put more rounds down range, and let her retain enough accuracy to have at least one round hit the bullseye.

So, between the sounds of gunfire, clashing blades, swinging chains, weights clanking, and the sound of punches connecting, the bell was almost missed by the students. Thankfully, Ruby had a timer set for five minutes before the bell would go off.

With time up, the student's packed up their stuff and made for the door. "Mr. Potter, if you could stay, I'd like to have a word with you." Weiss said, instantly making the Boy-Who-Lived nervous.

"I'll be quick. We know you're starting up an army to train, and we want to help. I can give you a cover story. It will be better than anything you could come up with, and it will be official." Weiss said, not letting Harry get in anything.

"How do you know that? and why would you help us?" Harry asked, wanting to know if some ratted them out already.

"The Hog's Head isn't the best place to hold a meeting of a large amount of people. Yang was there wearing a cloak, and she over heard you guys. Now, will you let us help you?" Weiss asked.

"Alright. Now, what's this about a cover story?" Harry asked. If he could get something official as a cover, that would be perfect.

"Its simple. We claim it to be a class to teach proper etiquette, and seeing as how most of you on the list come from long and old families, these formalities may be needed sometime after you all leave Hogwarts, provided Voldemort doesn't kill us all." The Ice Queen of Beacon said, cutting right to the chase.

"Alright. I'll talk to Hermione and Ron about it. Im sure Hermione will agree. Not so sure about Ron, but he can suck it up if he doesn't agree." Harry said. With that, Weiss wrote him a pass to his next class, and off he went. Of course, Hogwarts can never have a quite day.

As Harry was walking to his next class, he heard a howl, one that reminded him of the one Remus made right after the werewolf transformed during Harry's third year. "That can't be good." He muttered to himself as he started to move towards the sound. He was however, beat to it by four blurs of color.
