Chapter 5:
"Sky Battle"
"Here we are," I said, "the Aero City Gym."
"Are you going to challenge the Leader already?" Ashley asked.
"Why wouldn't I?"
"Well first of all, you just got here, and secondly, you don't even know the Gym Leader," Ashley added.
"I can bet him no matter what," I said as I walked through the doors.
"Hello, you must be here to battle Ario," The man by the doors said.
"Yeah," I respond, "Is he available to fight right now?"
"Yep," the man answered, "He's right through those doors.
"There you go," said Zack. "Your first Gym battle is right through those doors."
"Ario, I've come here to challenge you," I yelled.
"Ah, a new challenger," The Gym Leader Ario said. "You seem strong. How about we make this a one-on-one battle. We each use one Pokémon."
"That's fine with me," I replied.
"Come on out, Noctowl," Ario shouted.
"I choose you, Aron," I also screamed.
"The rules are whoever knocks the other person's Pokémon out first wins," Ario said. "Let the battle begin."
"Ok," I replied. "Aron use Metal Claw."
"Noctowl, dodge it and use air slash."
"No, Aron!"
"Quick, strike again with Air Slash."
"Aron, block it.
"Noctowl, keep using Air Slash."
"Aron, strike with Metal Claw right about…NOW!"
"No, Noctowl!"
"Keep using Metal Claw, Aron."
Noctowl, use Air Slash!"
"Aron!"
There we were. Me and Ario at a standstill. No one attacking or anything. Until…
"Aron attack using Headbutt, smack in the stomach."
"No, Noctowl!"
Ha. Good job Aron. We just got our first Gym Badge."
"I guess you earned this fair and square," Ario said. "Where are you headed next?"
"Cyan town," I replied
"Well, good luck on your journey," Ario said
"Thanks," I replied.
