A week later,

"What are you doing?" Malcolm asked in a low voice. He had woken up to find his wife's side of the bed frighteningly empty and since Caleb was asleep in his cot he knew she wasn't tending to him. So out of concern he got up out of bed only to find her in the living area doing yoga.

"I'm exercising" Kate said as she slowly transitioned out of a pose and into another.

"I can see that. Kate, it is 2 in the morning and you shouldn't be exercising for another 2 weeks" he told her, he hated how he felt like the bad guy as all he did was tell what not to do because he didn't want her overexerting herself or worse injuring herself.

"I'm being gentle with myself and not everything is tagged with a 6 week rule. I need to burn off some energy considering you won't help me with that" Kate said a mischievous smile gracing her lips as she had been trying to jump his bones for the past week with no success.

Something that surprised her as much as it annoyed her was that Malcolm was holding steady to his 'no sex' for 6 weeks rule. He was even remarkably patient, calm and normal by the lack of sex while she felt like a junkie on withdraw. Any day now she felt like was going to crawl out of her own skin. She blamed the hormones raging in her body and the fact that Malcolm had cut her off cold turkey. She knew it was petulant but it was just plain cruel of him to bend to all of her whims but this one well two if she counted the 'no exercise'. But now four weeks had passed since giving birth to Caleb and she was back to her relatively normal energy levels. Sure she still had a few aches and pains and Caleb could get a little too much for her but lately she found at night she had energy to burn which was interfering with what little sleep she was getting.

"I'm not going to have sex with you" Malcolm told her, she gave a sardonic laugh as she transitioned into another posture trying to calm herself as just hearing him say 'sex' ramped up her heart rate and her mind filled with deliciously naughty images.

"Trust me the message was received the first 10 times you rejected my advances" Kate grumbled, it was probably why she felt the need to start exercising that and she wanted to feel like she was making head way to getting back her pre-baby body or somewhere close to it. Irrationally, a small part of her felt that his rejection wasn't due to his concern for her health but because he wasn't attracted her now she wasn't pregnant anymore and nor did she have her pre-baby body of being lithe and trim.

"It's not that I don't want to-" he started but Kate cut him off as they had had this conversation many times before.

"I know and the thing is I have energy and in the two hour breaks when Caleb is asleep, I'd really love for us to do something a little more intimate and physical together than read a book" Kate told him keeping her tone light and amused as they both had to be patient and kind to one another since they both were running on a low amount of sleep.

"I know, but-" he said in a sympathetic manner as he was worried that Kate was taking his rejection to heart.

"But we have to wait the mythical 6 weeks for the planets to align or whatever" Kate said in a frustrated tone. As soon as the words left her mouth she closed her eyes and felt like a bitch. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to snap at you. Please go back to bed" She told him.

"Maybe I want to watch you" He said with a salacious smile, Kate looked his way and shook her head at him in a chastising manner.

"You're such a tease" she told him before she dropped out of the pose and looked at him folding her arms across her chest. "Or don't trust me to not over do it?" she asked not able to stop the accusation from passing her lips. Malcolm pushed off the door frame and moved to where she stood.

"I do trust you" he said in a serious manner.

"Then why is it whenever I want to do something physical you tell me to quit it?" Kate asked him.

"Because I'm worried about you pushing yourself too hard" he told her.

"I've been a yoga practitioner for over 15 years. I know my own body and what it needs and how hard to push it and when to stop" Kate told him, slightly fed up with everyone patronising her as if she were a kid. Malcolm took her tone harshly and threw up his hands in defeat not bothering to argue.

"Fine, Do what you want" He told her.

"Yeah?" Kate asked him, she licked her lips and looked at him with heated eyes. It didn't take a genius to know what she was thinking or what she wanted. He gave a chuckle as he was flattered by her tenacity.

"Besides that" he told her. She gave an exaggerated sigh and rolled her eyes looking deflated at his rejection. Again it made him feel like the bad guy, he was struggling to keep himself in line.

"Fine, if you don't want to have sex me. Then you can go to bed and stop tempting me to rape you." She told him as she turned him around and pushed him back to towards the bedroom before she went back to the living area to the space she had made to practise her yoga.

"Ok, I'm going" he said chuckling as he moved on his own accord. He went back to the bedroom but stopped at the door to turn and watch Kate. She had closed her eyes and taken a deep breath as she was refocussing her attention.

"Malcolm, go to bed" Kate said in a stern tone, after a few moments of him watching her. She didn't even open her eyes yet she had sensed him.

"Come with me" he told her, Kate opened her eyes and looked at Malcolm with a look of frustration. She walked over to him looked him over with a heated gaze and there was no mistaking where her thoughts were at where he was concerned.

"But I'm not finished and you're not going to make me come" she told him.

"Nice double entendre" he told her.

"I know, now leave me to my yoga and go to bed. I'll be by your side in an hour so after I've taken care of Caleb's next feed and if I hurt myself I'll yell for help" Kate said teasingly.

"That isn't comforting" he told her in a pouty manner.

"Go to bed" Kate said as she pushed him back into the bedroom and before he could come towards her again she closed the sliding door in his face. He smiled as he heard her chuckle and slowly laid down on the bed with a sigh as he was exhausted.

The next morning,

Taylor moved to the back door of Kate and Malcolm's house. He would have used the front door but figured Kate would slam it in his face. Not that he didn't deserve it but he'd rather have the chance to say his piece before she tried to break his nose or worse.

It had taken him a week to try and find the right words to say to her as he felt it was important to repair the damage between them as it was for him to repair his relationship with Alicia. He also used that week to give Alicia time to think about his proposition. He had been back to the house several times but he chose his moments so as not to intrude and also to save a confrontation with Alicia. He wanted her to be sure of herself instead of reacting.

He peeked around the edge to see if she was home and saw her in the kitchen. She was holding Caleb in her arms and pacing the floor as she looked down at him with the softest of smiles. She seemed to be talking to the boy not that Taylor could make out the words but the scene was endearing and comforting as he had never seen her look so comfortable in her own skin as she did now.

It was also beautiful because it was possibly one the few rare moments he'd seen Kate visibly relaxed and unburdened, happy. Something he hadn't want to see before because he was in grieving and he wanted answers. Answers he was ready to push every button to get. It made his gut churn with guilt as he had been selfish and sure he had his reasons but he had hurt her as much as he had Alicia.

He stepped into full view and tapped on the glass. Kate looked up from Caleb and saw him, a slight frown marred her features but it didn't stop her from approaching the door. She sized him up for a moment before she spoke.

"Taylor, what are you doing here?" she asked through the glass as she didn't make any effort to let him in. He didn't blame her.

"I'm here to talk and to make amends" he said.

"I don't see any cupcakes" she remarked rather coolly and she looked around him. He gave an amused smile as he wondered if she was checking to see if he was alone or if she was actually looking for cupcakes.

"I had to bring cupcakes?" he asked.

"Carter did. A dozen that spelled out 'I apologise' with two exclamation marks for emphasis, it worked for him" Kate said. Taylor would have laughed if she didn't look so serious about it. Obviously the cupcakes had worked for Carter as he hadn't heard of anything happening between the two. He didn't even know they were on the outs at all. It made him inwardly cringed at how much he had missed out on.

"I'll bring them next time. May I come in?" he asked. Kate contemplated his request for a moment before she unlocked the door and stepped away. Taylor opened the door and stepped in. She moved back to the kitchen as the kettle started whistle indicating the water was boiling and Taylor closed the door behind him before he followed her.

"Would you like a cup of tea?" she asked as she moved to the stove.

"Why don't you let me make the tea" he offered as he beat her to the kettle and pulled it off the hot stove plate. Kate stepped away as he turned off the stove top and turned the kitchen bench where the tea pot was sitting. He poured the hot water in and placed the kettle back on the stove to cool and covered the tea pot so the tea leaves could steep.

"You wanted to talk" Kate asked as she pulled out another tea cup for him.

"I do" he said as picked up the pot and the cups moving to the coffee table. He placed the cups and the pot down on the table and looked to Kate who just looked at him with an unreadable expression as she held her son to her chest.

"So talk" she said.

"Could we sit down?" he asked as he took a seat on the lounge. Kate gave a nod and moved to the lounge, she sat down next to him. She adjusted Caleb into a more comfortable position. The baby moved his head, his eyes wide just taking in the world around him. Kate unconsciously smoothed his downy hair with her hand. Taylor couldn't help but be a tiny bit amused at how it did nothing to stop the baby's hair from spiking at odd angles as it was doing.

"I could give you numerous reasons for my actions but there isn't any point. How I acted towards you, what I asked of you was wrong and I shouldn't have-" he started but she cut him off.

"No, you shouldn't have" she told him in a sharp tone, he could tell she wasn't going to let him off the hook for what happened.

"You're not going to make this easy" he remarked, her features softened as she gave a small huff.

"You didn't bring cupcakes" She said with a half shrug, the corner of her lips lifted slightly and he could see she was teasing him just a little bit.

"Next time. I promise" he told her. A moment of silence passed between them, all the words yet to be said just hung in the air waiting but before Taylor could speak Kate got in first.

"Look, I'm trying to be a 'better' person. I know who I was and the skills I have come in handy when morals and ethics have to be thrown out the window. Not to mention I have the gumption to do them but I don't want that to be my legacy and I don't use it against my friends and family. I also don't want my son to inherit my darker qualities" she told him. He could see that his words had scored within her.

"Those qualities that you say make you a monster saved many innocent lives" he told her.

"That no one ever focuses on or remembers" She told him.

"I know what you saying but the people who matter know better and will always remember the good" he told her, his eyes drifted to Caleb, the baby boy was still awake and resting his head on Kate's shoulder looking right at him with wide eyes. It was the first time he had really looked at the baby, he could see Malcolm's features on the boy from his blue eyes, sandy blonde hair and nose. He felt his heart melt and a soft smile grace his lips as the baby looked at him.

"What's he doing?" Kate asked as she noticed Taylor looking at Caleb. She was almost afraid Caleb had spewed down her arm and she just hadn't noticed. It wouldn't be the first time but she preferred to know about because to her it was the equivalent of talking to someone when you had something stuck in your teeth.

"Just looking at me, he's a handsome little man" Taylor commented, a soft smile played on her lips.

"Yes, he is. He takes after his father" Kate said, she kissed the top of Caleb's head as she gently rubbed his back.

"Well he hasn't got the scruff" Taylor said gesturing to his own beard, Kate laughed.

"Yes, thank goodness he didn't. I think I would have had a real scare if he came out looking like a hairball" Kate quipped, Taylor chuckled.

"I'm sorry I didn't take the time early to congratulate you-"

"Taylor, you were messed up with grief but you're here now and apologising so much it's making me feel uncomfortable" she told him.

"Then let me say my piece and then I'll stop apologising" he said, he waited for a witty reply but she remained silent looking at him waiting. So he took a deep breath and spoke. "That day I came in here. I was outta my mind with grief. I didn't think before I opened my mouth; I said and implied a lot of things that I don't believe of you." he said.

He looked to her and saw her eyes were downcast and continued on. "We are soldiers, our morals and ethics will always be questionable at best but we do what we have to, to protect our families and way of life. We don't do it because we enjoy the blood thirst or the pain of others. You're not like Ellyas or my son, I know that and I hate that I made you believe that I did. That I upset you when you didn't need it or deserve it" he said, he watched her expression closely as he wanted to make sure his words were sinking in. That she was hearing him.

"You're a brilliant and strong woman who I know is going to raise this little boy into a strong and honest man. I'm proud to know you and I think of you as family. I'm sorry for what happened and I promise I'll be my damnedest to not put you in that position again" he told her, he saw the tears welling in her eyes as she locked eyes with him, her lips thinned into a fine line as she tried to keep her emotions tightly locked up.

"Are you done?" She asked in a low voice.

"I am for now" he said. Kate nodded as she broke eye contact and looked away for a moment. She honestly hadn't expected him to apologise, that day everything had been a mess and she had been hurt by his words and taken to heart his opinion of her as she deeply respected him. But now hearing him say that he what he truly thought of her helped, they assuage the feeling of inadequacy of meeting the requirements of being a 'good' person or in her mind 'good enough' to have what other people had. She then cleared her throat looked back at him.

"Apology accepted" Kate said, she quickly wiped the tears from her eyes with one hand before they fell and adjusted Caleb in her arms so his head was lower on her shoulder as she relaxed back into the lounge. She hadn't realised how tense she was until that moment but was glad the uncomfortable moment would pass as she'd rather they get back to being friends again as she didn't want to waste time or energy being angry with Taylor.

"I figured you wouldn't let me off the hook so easily" Taylor remarked and Kate quirked an eyebrow at him.

"Like I said before you were messed up with grief and we had an argument. You said some horrible things and I said some back but to be honest… Yes, I was hurt but I didn't spend the last couple of weeks with a bindi up my bum about it. Though you should know you're not off the hook" she told him, she did mop for a couple of days but had pushed it to the back of her mind as she had Caleb to tend with and Malcolm to unsuccessfully seduce.

"I'm not?" he asked.

"You still owe me cupcakes. Caramel ones" She told him, he smiled at the ridiculousness of her demand that they relationship would only be truly mended if he gave her cupcakes and also he kind of wished it would work with Alicia.

"Noted" he told her.

"So, are you going to patch things up with Alicia?" she asked changing the topic as she didn't like being the topic of the conversation. Nor did she like crying.

"Working on it" Taylor said. Kate could see he was riddled with guilt about what happened during his early days of grieving Lucas and gave him a sympathetic smile.

"You know not everything is entirely your fault. We both said some pretty horrible things to one another. I'm sure whatever went down between you two was worse but not entirely one sided." Kate said to him.

"But you were lashing back, it wasn't like that with Alicia" he said, what happened in their relationship was most definitely his fault. Or so he had come to the conclusion when he had been slogging away at the Outpost.

"You're making excuses" Kate told him.

"I know but I didn't help matters with you or Alicia and anyway I figured Alicia would tell you all about my plans to patch things up with her" Taylor remarked as Kate and Alicia seemed to be attached at the hip of late or so he had heard from Jim when he stopped by the Command Centre a couple of nights ago.

"Yes and No, Alicia keeps things pretty close to the chest but I do know that you plan on 'courting' her" Kate said, her eyes lit up with amusement and he felt like she was teasing him as she put an emphasis on 'courting'. Hell if he were honest hearing her say his plan out loud made it feel like a juvenile idea.

"You're amused" he said feeling his neck go red with embarrassment. She smiled at him and held up her index finger and thumb showing a small measurement.

"Just a little but I think its romantic even it seems a little backwards to me." Kate said, Caleb who had been awake was now trying vainly to keep his eyes open as he found Taylor a fascination or that's how Taylor interpreted the baby boy's continuous staring.

"Maybe but it will work" Taylor told her, at least he firmly hoped it would. He hadn't plotted out every move but he did know what he wanted.

"Yeah? So what is the plan? Flowers and love sonnets?" Kate asked, Taylor made a face and shook his head.

"That wouldn't work on Alicia" he said as he poured a couple cups of tea for them. Kate smiled gratefully as she reached for the tea while juggling a sleepy Caleb. The boy grumbled but as soon as she settled back with her tea. He calmed down and tucked his face into Kate's neck, a move the twins did when they were tired or overwhelmed by their surroundings. He was amazed at how calm Caleb was and figured Caleb may have inherited his mother's temperament.

"Then what is the plan?" Kate asked, Taylor remained silent for a moment and she rose an eyebrow at him "Is there a plan? Or you just winging it?" she asked him, that amused sparkle was in her eyes again.

"I have plans and back up plans" he reassured her.

"But you're not going to tell me" Kate said before taking a sip of her tea.

"Exactly" he said with a smile as she made a face at him for not giving her any information.

"You're no fun" she told him.

"I don't want you spoiling my plans by telling Alicia" he told her.

"Yeah yeah whatever, just for that I'm not going to babysit the twins for you" She told him.

"I wasn't going to ask" he said smiling at her.

"You weren't?" She asked and he could see she was actually disappointed by his reply.

"No, you and Malcolm have enough on your plate with him. Newborns aren't easy" Taylor said gesturing his head to Caleb.

"Actually Caleb's a pretty happy baby. Don't get me wrong though he does have his histrionics but we're pretty cool" Kate said with a serene smile. It was the kind of smile he wanted to see on her face every day and a smile he wouldn't mind seeing Alicia wear more often. He just had to make it happen again.

"Still you don't need my two underfoot. I also like watching Shannon sweat bullets every time I ask him to look after the twins" Taylor said and it was true. He guiltily took satisfaction in watching Jim try and come up with excuse not to be baby sit but in the end reluctantly accept the duty. He knew Jim loved kids. The man had three of his own but Taylor was smart enough to know that Jim was thinking of worst case scenario and how he would have to deal with Alicia and Taylor if the worst happen. He was sure in Jim's mind the worst was the twins eating something they shouldn't or getting hurt by rolling off the furniture or whatever scenario played in his mind.

"You'd think him coming from an Irish background big families wouldn't scare him" Kate said with a chuckle.

"And you keep forgetting that families are a lot smaller in the 2149 than they were in 2016" Taylor told her.

"So when are you going to take the test" Kate asked the next day over lunch with Alicia. The twins and Caleb were out for the count while they enjoyed a late lunch at Kate's place.

"What test?" Alicia asked as she took a bite of her food.

"The pregnancy test" Kate said, Alicia choked on her food and coughed to clear her throat as she had not expected Kate to ask her that.

"Excuse me?" Alicia asked after she recovered control of her oesophagus. She took a sip of her water trying to calm herself as she hadn't expected Kate to ask her such a question. Though it was Kate and whenever she opened her mouth she tended to ask or say something outrageous.

"You're over a week and half late for your 'lady' time." Kate said plainly as if she were talking about going for a walk later on. Not about something that had been plaguing Alicia's thoughts for over two weeks.

"It's creepy that you know my cycle" Alicia told her before she took another sip of water, her heart still hammering from nearly choking to death and Kate's casualness about discussing her menstruation or lack thereof.

"I lived with you for a few months. You're as regular as clockwork and three weeks ago you came over to my house in tears and smelling of sex. Now you're late so if I put those two facts together I can draw the conclusion that you're pregnant" Kate said before she took a bite of her own lunch.

"That's gross" Alicia said wrinkling her nose at Kate's comment.

"I know. You could have at least showered first before coming over but hey you were upset so all is forgiven" Kate said in a tongue and cheek manner, Alicia shook her head disapprovingly.

"You're so kind but it's too early. I could be late for many reasons" Alicia said, she mentally kicked herself for just giving Kate ammunition to fuel her 'Alicia is pregnant' campaign which could not end well as Kate had way too much time to tease Alicia.

"Nope, you're preggers. Taylor's army strikes again. He got you up the duff again" Kate said dramatically and this time grinning evilly at her.

"Thank you for your crass assessment. I now know why you Australians are such a rare species" Alicia said in a droll tone as it was only the beginning and since Kate wasn't getting laid her mind was becoming more perverse by the hour. She also lacked a filter between her brain and mouth.

"Ha ha, anyway don't you want to know if baby number 3 and 4 are baking in there?" Kate asked in an excited tone. Alicia's jaw dropped as it only occurred to her now if she was pregnant it'd just be her luck that she'd have twins again.

"Oh god, don't say that" Alicia groaned, she loved Ava and Olivia but if she was pregnant she was definitely not ready for another set of twins especially given her and Taylor's current wreck of a marriage.

"Well you know it's you and Taylor. Overachieving is in your collective DNA. I wouldn't be surprised if there were triplets or even quintuplets baking away in there." Kate stated with a teasing smile. That statement made Alicia lose her appetite. She did not want to contemplate the 'whale' she'd become if she was carrying more than twins.

"Thank you, just the comforting thoughts I need rolling around in my head right now" Alicia told her.

"Well you could be late for many other reasons" Kate said in a mocking manner before her expression grew thoughtful. "Anyway you're lucky" she added before she took another sip of her tea.

"Why?" Alicia asked her.

"Malcolm and I don't have the genetics for conceiving twins. So if I want three kids it will mean stretching my ass out two more times" Kate told her, making a face of displeasure at the thought of expanding her body again, not to mention all the dramas of people giving them advice and the betting pools. All of which she could live without.

"Your ass and body barely stretched out the first time. You lucky bitch" Alicia grumbled her, Kate had managed what many women dreamed of she had a baby and four weeks out she looked fabulous, sure her stomach needed some work but the rest of her was trim. But then Kate had been underweight before the pregnancy so really she had finally gotten back to looking healthy again.

"Hey you did well with the twins and you look fit. I'd do you" Kate said in a flirtatious manner.

"Married" Alicia told her, she even held up her left hand to flash her wedding ring for emphasis.

"We could be each other's mistresses" Kate said in a teasing manner and a grin to match.

"I'll keep it in mind" Alicia said as she couldn't help but smile along with her.

"So when are you going to take the test?" Kate asked.

"You're not going to give this up are you?" Alicia groaned.

"No, I have to know just so I can feel the sweet satisfaction that comes from knowing I'm right yet again. I think I may have a sixth sense for pregnancy" Kate said in a smug manner which made Alicia roll her eyes.

"I don't think it can be considered a six sense when you are just making assumptions" Alicia told her.

"Assumptions? They are deductions from the evidence I have at hand" Kate said pointedly.

"Well your deductions are incorrect" Alicia told, inwardly she hoped they were incorrect as she'd rather she and Taylor had time to mend their relationship without the added pressure of another child or children into the mix. Luckily she could pretend the twins were too young to know what was going on. That Taylor and she would work things out but she needed them ti make up because it was best for them. Not just the kids.

"Or do you hope that they are correct." Kate asked, her eyes were bright with excitement.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Alicia asked.

"Well he's out there, he came back two weeks ago gave you a love letter and then nothing. Maybe a bun in the oven will reel him back for good. He's all 18th Century about his views on relationships which means he'll come back and demand reconciliation" Kate said casually as she took a sip of her tea before returning to her lunch.

"He's already been back" Alicia admitted, Kate who was mid bite paused and rose her eyebrows at her.

"He is? And you said nothing?" Kate asked after she swallowed her food.

"I thought you knew. I thought you were helping him" Alicia said.

"Me?"

"Yeah" Alicia said watching Kate closely to see if the woman was in cahoots with Taylor and his nocturnal lurking now they were on the subject. Alicia of course hadn't brought it up as she thought she was going crazy waking up to find things moved around, cleaned etc.

"Not that I'm aware of and he hasn't talked to me in a while" Kate said choosing her words carefully as Alicia narrowed her eyes suspiciously at her. "What about you?" Kate asked.

"He hasn't made contact with me in over week but every day I wake up and something has been tampered with in the house" Alicia said annoyed as she had attempted more than once to stay up late and catch him but she always ended up falling asleep on the couch and ending up in bed. It was endearing but also incredibly annoying as she was losing her ability to wake up at the slightest noise of anything suspicious or out of place.

"Tampered? Please clarify" Kate said in curiosity.

"The dishwasher will be empty, the laundry will be done or the bathroom will be prepped for me to have a bath. Food miraculously appears in the fridge or the cupboards" Alicia started but she stopped as Kate was struggling to take her seriously.

"Oh wow, that must be so frightening for you. Do you want me to call the police?" Kate deadpanned, Alicia glared at her as Kate couldn't keep a straight face and tried not to laugh.

"This isn't funny" Alicia said pouting slightly.

"I think it's great" Kate said as she chuckled.

"No, it's not. It's infuriating and how does he do it?" Alicia asked her.

"How would I know and how is it a bad thing that he's doing all these thoughtful things for you?" Kate asked her.

"It's annoying, I want him to be present and doing these things. Not lurking around like a ghost. We need to sort ourselves out" Alicia grumbled.

"You're weird" Kate told her. She paused for a moment and looked over at the portable cot where Caleb was dozing in and out of consciousness. He made snuffling noise and his tiny face scrunched up for a moment and his eyes opened. For some reason Kate felt like he was counting down the seconds to find the perfect moment to cry.

"No I'm not" Alicia said to Kate, who had her attention on Caleb. Kate was already prepared with her knife and fork on the plate.

"Yes you are" Kate told her, dividing her attention between Alicia and Caleb.

"It would annoy you if Malcolm did what Taylor is doing to me" Alicia argued.

"Please, Malcolm is all about taking credit for stuff and slapping his name on it. Malcolmus Pterosausi" Kate said with a grin.

"Yeah, he was very proud of himself for that one" Alicia said admittedly with a wry smile.

"I'm sure it doesn't trump how proud he is of Caleb." Kate said before she lifted Caleb out of his cot "Oh yes your Daddy is very proud of you even when you're a smelly little grub" Kate said to him before she held him to her chest with his head resting on her shoulder. He made more snuffling noises; the precursor to crying, as he made himself comfortable in Kate's arms. His head turned to the side and he looked nowhere in particular with his blue-gray eyes. Alicia smiled at the baby and mother feeling her insides melt as she wished she could have a boy with Taylor's deep cerulean eyes.

She could just see the baby and her two girls with Taylor in the lounge room of their home and how it could be a possible reality.

"You alright there?" Kate asked her. Alicia snapped out of the perfect fantasy and nodded.

"Yeah, fine" she replied as she paled from the dreading thought of how far from reality her fantasy was.

"You sure? You kind of looked a little mesmerised and then went pale." Kate said.

"Fine, my sleep has just been disturbed due to all the-"

"Pregnancy" Kate supplied in good humour but Alicia shot her an annoyed look.

"No" Alicia told her darkly.

"The lurkings of your creepy husband?" Kate asked her as she took another sip of her tea.

"Hey, he isn't creepy" Alicia said defensively. Kate smiled.

"So do you want to set up traps and trip wires around your house?" Kate asked in an excited manner.

"No" Alicia said as she didn't need to put her estranged husband in the infirmary with such a hare brain scheme.
