Chapter 6:
"Cave Bandits"
"So Cyan Town is just through that forest and the cave?" Zack asked.
"Yep," I answered.
"How long will it take to get there?" Ashley asked.
"Maybe a day or two," I replied
"Well we better start moving," Zack put in.
We head into the forest and run into a few Pokémon, though we catch none of them. After a while, it gets dark so we set up camp in an open plain.
In the morning, we finally make it to the cave. We walk in and notice a river flowing through it.
"Maybe we can swim to the exit," Zack said.
"The current is way to strong. We would drown," I replied.
"Fine," Zack said mockingly.
"Shh. I think I hear something," Ashley whispered.
"It's probably nothing," I said.
"No," Zack said. "I heard it too."
"It sounds like voices," Ashley added.
"Quick, hide behind that rock"
"Nobody's coming," Said a voice. "We might as well head back to Aero city and sell everything we've got."
"No," Another voice replied. "We need to be here if anyone comes. Think of how many Pokémon we can get if we stay here."
"Pokémon bandits," Zack whispered.
"Who was that?" one of the voices asked. "Show yourself. We mean no harm."
"Just stay silent," I said.
"I heard it again," the other voice said. "I think it's coming from behind that rock."
"RUN!" Ashley screamed.
A guy and girl. That's who was following us.
"You'll never catch us," Zack added.
"You want a bet," The girl yelled. "Go, Espeon!"
"Aron," I said, "come on out and use Metal Claw."
"Espeon, dodge it."
"Aron, use Headbutt."
"No, Espeon."
"Aron, use Metal Claw again.
"Quick Espeon, use psybeam."
"No, Aron!"
"Espeon, use Confusion."
"Dodge it, Aron."
"Keep using Confusion."
"Dodge it and use Metal Claw Aron."
"No, Espeon!"
"Quick," I said to Zack and Ashley, "Let's get out of here."
