Seth and I were walking the schoolyard as Kaitlin held my hand. He said that he had big news.

"So Theresa taught me the best way to please a woman." He answered.

"That's good to know." I told him before I smacked his arm.

"Ow, what was that for?" He asked.

"For being an idiot." Kaitlin explained. "Holly really likes you and you can't ever let her find out about this."

"So how are things with Marissa?" I asked my girlfriend, wondering if they had improved.

"They're the same." She answered. That meant that they still weren't good. "They're probably only slightly better than your relationship with Trey."

"Trey never got Sammie almost killed." Seth piped in. That wasn't entirely true. "Anyway, I think this thing will really help me with Holly. I just hope that she can keep her skirt on when she sees me today."

Suddenly his phone began to ring.

"That's probably her now, a little phone sex." He added. I for one found the idea of phone sex disgusting. "She's calling from the 909."

I took the phone from him. It very might have been someone that wanted to have phone sex with him. I answered.

"Sammie?" Theresa replied. "Why do you have Seth's phone?"

"I could ask you why you're calling him." I pointed out.

"I'm coming out there today." She answered.

"Is it for work?" I questioned. I really hoped it was for work.

"Yeah, but I was hoping that I would get a break." She responded. "Do you know if Seth's free tonight?"

"Yes I am free." Seth stated. I then realized that the phone was on speaker.

"Tell him that I'll see him after dinner." Theresa remarked before she hung up. At that point, I gave his phone back and hit him again.

"Ow, quit doing that." He ordered.

"Sammie, we should let him make his own mistakes." Kaitlin told me as she dragged me away. "So I was wondering if you wanted to meet one of my freshman friends tonight. Yes, I have friends in my own grade."

"Sure, that sounds like fun." I told her. "What's she like?"

"I'm not telling you that." She told me with a smile. "This is a blind friend-date."

We walked into the school and came across Summer and Marissa.

"Hey." Marissa greeted us. She then looked at her sister. "So, is living with Mom still okay?"

"Well I don't have other options." Kaitlin pointed out. Now it seemed like it was my turn to drag her away.

"We need to get to class." I stated, even though she wasn't in my class. Marissa was in my class. "So tonight, I'm looking forward to it."

"I have a problem." Anna told me after Kaitlin went to her class. "The water polo team wants Summer to be in this kissing booth for a fundraiser and I want to tell her that I'm not okay with it but I don't want to come off as jealous. How do I do that?"

"Just seriously tell her the truth." I responded. "If you're not comfortable, tell her. Honesty is important and it will help you work things out. How was Pittsburgh?"

"It made me miss here. I could go with the cold for a while." She told me. "But I loved it there. Do you think Summer is getting back at me for not being there on Valentine's Day?"

"Talk to her." I repeated before I realized that I needed to get class or I would be late.

Once I was in gym, I began to wonder what I should wear when meeting my girlfriend's friend. I wasn't sure if I would need to change at all.

When I got home, I decided to try on a few different looks. By now, I was pretty sure that I was a Newport girl. There was nothing I could do about it. I wanted to live there and the transformation was something that I couldn't help. I finally went with a blue cardigan with a speckled layered rainbow dress and pantyhose. I knew I wouldn't be caught dead wearing something like this in Chino. I tied my hair in braid before Kaitlin arrived.

"I see your metamorphosis is complete." She commented.

"So, this friend of yours…what's she like?" I asked.

"Well she's the same height as you. You'll probably hit it off." She told me as we went to the restaurant to meet her.

"So why exactly are we going to a formal restaurant to have a friendly meeting?" I questioned.

"Because her dad is going to be there." She answered. "She invited me to meet him and told me that I could bring a date."

"Is she bringing a date?" I questioned as we headed to my car. I kicked my heels off because it was easier to drive that way.

"No." Kaitlin answered.

We then headed to the restaurant and were met by a valet in a suit.

"I'd like to ask you to hand over any cameras or cell phones." He said. Why did we need to do that?

"We're with the Hawthorne party." Kaitlin declared. "My name is Kaitlin Cooper."

"I'm sorry, right this way." He instructed as he led us inside. We were led to a table with a man with brown hair and blue eyes and a girl with dark brown hair and hazel eyes.

"Sammie, this is my friend Hadley Hawthorne and her father Harold." Kaitlin introduced before looking to the girl. "This is my girlfriend, Samantha Cohen."

"Wait a minute…you created The Valley." I realized.

"And Survivor: Teen Edition." Harold added. I watched that one time and it was terrible.

"It's good to see you, Bitch." Hadley told her without a hint of malice.

"Hadley, no swearing at the table." Her father scolded her before Kaitlin and I were seated. "So are you girls fans of the show?"

"Yes we watch all of the time." Kaitlin declared. That was a bit of an overstatement. I guess we didn't need to tell him the truth about it because it was nicer.

"Is there anything that you would like to see?" He questioned.

"Dad, you can't keep doing this." Hadley responded. "You need to have faith in your own writers."

"I just wanted to know what the target audience wants to happen." He argued. "I like to listen to the fans of the show."

"I wouldn't mind seeing a girl from the outside the valley." I said aloud. What could I say? Seeing a girl like me on TV would be pretty cool, even if it was The Valley.

I had to say that overall, I had a good time. One thing that I did note was that I had never had a dinner with either of Kaitlin's parents before. I mean I technically dined with them, but I had never had a more private dinner. We met up with Hadley in the parking lot.

"So I'll see you at school, Bitch." Hadley told Kaitlin as she gave her a hug. I still thought that was a strange term of endearment. "It was nice meeting you. When I heard you from Chino, I expected something…else."

"Newport has corrupted me." I told her with a smile. "But if we become friends, don't call me Bitch."

We headed back to Kaitlin's house at that point. I wasn't sure if Caleb would be there or not but I knew that I wanted to do some cuddling in her room, possibly more.

More than cuddling ensued after we realized that neither Caleb nor Julie was there. We were naked under the covers as I looked over her beautiful face.

"So what do you think of what Seth is doing with Theresa?" I questioned. "I really thought that he would have learned his lesson from this Summer and Anna stuff."

"Well some people have to make the same mistake more than once before they can learn from it." Kaitlin noted. "It's like my mom. I don't think she's seeing Caleb anymore, but now she's with some other guy that I haven't met yet, but I'm pretty sure he's younger."

"I think that it might be best for her to be with someone her own age." I opined. "So she and your dad are completely off the table, right?"

"I don't the table is even set up." She responded. "Do you wanna go to your place? We could play some videogames."

"Maybe we should do our homework." I remarked. "I mean school still is important."

"Okay." She agreed. "I'll see you tomorrow."

"I love you." I told her as I gave her a peck on the lips.

"Love you too." She reciprocated.

When I got back, I noticed Seth in the pool house.

"Did you have a good night?" I asked him.

"It seems like you did." He told me. Did I still have sex hair? "In case you're wondering, Theresa and I did not have a sex. We just had dinner."

"I met the guy that made The Valley." I stated.

In the morning, Seth followed me into the kitchen.

"So tell me how I should handle Holly." He told me.

"Stop seeing Theresa." I suggested bluntly.

"I'd like to meet Theresa." Kirsten replied. "What's she doing out here?"

"She's taking a semester off and working." Seth explained.

"Does Holly know about this?" Sandy asked his son.

"Nope." I told them.

"Have you learned nothing?" Sandy questioned.

"I've learned that seeing two girls in the same place is a bad idea." Seth responded. That wasn't what he was supposed to learn.

That night, I was surprised to see that Seth had invited Theresa over. I couldn't help but wonder if he was still seeing Holly. I really wanted him to make the right decision in the end, but I wasn't sure if he would. I didn't understand how someone so smart could be so dumb because nothing good would come from him being with Theresa.

"Theresa, I wasn't expecting you here." I stated.

"Yeah, I was just meeting your folks." She told me. "You know if I didn't know better, I would think that there was a biological connection here."

I knew that it would be rude of me to leave and I also didn't want to invite Kaitlin over because I knew that she didn't like Theresa. Out of all of the embarrassing scenarios in the world, I think your ex being in your house because she is having sex with your brother would be at the top of the list.

"So where are you working?" I asked her.

"It's this hotel called the Mermaid Inn." Theresa answered. "It's not exactly The Four Seasons but it has a great view of the ocean and it also pays pretty well."

"I think I would take that over staying in the Four Seasons." I replied.

"Sorry, I forgot about your near-death experience." She apologized. At that point, the doorbell rang. I wasn't going to say it.

"I'll go get that." I announced as I went to the door. There was Kaitlin.

"I figured you were in the here since I checked the pool house." She stated.

"You might not want to come in here." I replied.

"Why not?" She questioned.

"Theresa is kind of in the kitchen." I explained. "I know that you don't like her, even though she's not here for me."

"Are she and Seth still sleeping with each other?" She replied.

"I think possibly at the hotel where she works." I added. "If you want, you can come inside."

She walked in and grabbed my hand.

"Kaitlin, it's nice to see you." Sandy replied.

"Yeah, my mom's out of the house, so I thought I'd come here." She explained. "It's good to see you again, Theresa."

"So you two met in Chino?" Kirsten asked Theresa.

"Yes we did." Theresa answered. I wanted the events of that day to stay buried. They did not need to be brought up anymore.

"So were you thinking about moving here?" Sandy asked.

"Not full-time." Theresa answered. "I wouldn't want to leave my brother or my mom or my boyfriend, Eddie."

"You have a boyfriend?" Sandy asked.

"We're taking some time apart and seeing other people right now." Theresa stated. That still wasn't good.

After dinner and Theresa had left, Kaitlin and I were in the pool house with the windows open and door unlocked. Said door opened up and Holly walked in.

"Is Seth in here?" She asked angrily.

"No." I replied. "Why didn't you check the house first? He's usually there."

"He's been avoiding me." She pointed out. "If he doesn't want to be with me, he needs to tell me."

"Okay, I didn't want to tell you this, but he has been seeing someone else." I declared. "Don't hurt him. I don't think that it will last, but I know that Seth is smart enough to choose you eventually."

That night when both of them were gone, I was taking out my trash when I noticed someone in the driveway.

"Eddie." I replied.

"Hey, Sammie, what's up?" He asked.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him in confusion, hoping he wasn't here for Seth.

"I'm looking for Theresa. I talked to your brother in jail and he said that you were out here." He explained. "I was wondering if you'd seen her."

I didn't know what to do. I didn't want him to know that I had seen her because he might make the connection.

"I saw her catering this party, but I'm not sure where she's staying." I lied. I hoped that would be good.

"Well if you see her again could you let her know that I stopped by?" He asked. I had to say I would.

"Yeah, I'll make sure to that." I promised. It really wasn't a lie because I needed to tell her for the safety of Seth. In fact I needed to tell him about it.

Eddie drove off and I headed into the house and began to bang on Seth's door.

"What?" He asked me.

"You need to stop seeing Theresa." I told her. "I'm not asking you. I'm telling you that you need to stop seeing her now."

"Why would I do that?" He responded.

"Because I just had a run-in with her boyfriend in our driveway, who is not something that you want to mess with." I explained. "He will beat your ass if he finds out that you're with her."

"Suddenly Theresa seems a lot less appealing." He commented.

"You need to end things with her and go back to Holly." I replied. "By the way, she's mad at you for sleeping with Theresa and avoiding her."

"You told her?" He asked accusingly.

"I didn't have a choice. She came to the pool house looking for you." I told him. "I don't want to have to fix your mess, so you better fix it by tomorrow or you'll have to deal with me."

"You're scary when you're mad." He told me. I said nothing and walked back to the pool house.

I wanted to make this chapter longer, I really did, but I just couldn't think of anything else. I really dislike Theresa and I may try to find a different storyline that features her less except for when it's important. Please don't forget to review.
