Chapter 8:
"Crashing Tides"
We were walking down the streets of Cyan town, still in awe of what just happened. After awhile we all agreed to head to the P.C. and go to sleep in the rooms they offer.
In the morning, we headed straight towards the gym. When we got in, the greeter told us to just walk in to the room at the end of the hallway. When we walked in, we saw waterfalls everywhere except above the challenger entrance and where few benches were beside the field. There was also a huge pool in the middle of the field. After a bit, Zack and Ashley went to the benches, and I waited on the field.
"Hello, challenger," A girl said through a microphone. "I'm guessing you came here to challenge my gym.
"So you're the gym leader?" I asked.
"Yep, that's me, Coventina."
"What does that mean?" I asked
"Water goddess."
"Cool," I replied.
"And now for my entrance," She said as busted through one of the waterfalls opposite of my entrance, landing a thirty foot drop perfectly. She wore black Capri's, a blue tank top, and had blue hair that went down to her knees.
"I'm guessing you're a water trainer," I said. "Yep," She replied. "How about we make this battle fun, we both use two Pokémon at the same time."
"But I only have one Pokémon," I said.
"Okay," She said, "then we'll make it a one-on-one battle."
"Okay. Lairon, I choose you!
"Seadra, come on out!"
"Lairon, use headbutt."
"Quick Seadra, dodge it and use water gun."
"NO, Lairon!"
"Seadra, use water gun again."
"Dodge it, Lairon.
"Seadra, use smokescreen."
"Lairon, go right through the smokescreen and use takedown."
…BOOOOM…
"Seadra!"
"Ha!"
"Well," Coventina said, "I guess you won. Here's your badge."
"Thanks," I said. "Come on guys, we're headed towards Bronze town."
