Chapter 9:
"Pokémon on the Water"
As we came out of Cyan town we ran into a really big marsh. After a bit of arguing, we decided to head straight through the lake.
"This place is disgusting," Zack said
"Agreed," Replied Ashley
"It's only about another half-mile, that's not that long," I said.
"ANOTHER HALF-MILE!" Screamed Ashley.
"Wait," Zack said, "I just felt something brush my knee."
"It's probably just some mud," I said.
"No," He said, "It was a Pokémon."
"AHHH!" Shouted Ashley.
Splash
It was a Lombre!
"Ooo," Zack said. "I got it!"
BOOM…That was the sound of Zack getting hit with an ice beam, and being frozen rock solid.
"Come on out, Lairon!"
BOOM
A ray of ice smashed into the ground about six inches away from Aron.
"Aron, use metal claw."
Lombre quickly dodged it.
"Use headbutt!"
Again, Lombre dodged it.
"Lairon, USE TAKEDOWN!"
BOOOM
The power from that attack left Lombre hardly standing. I then used a Pokéball and, after a couple of seconds, caught Lombre.
"What did I miss?" Asked Zack as he unthawed.
"I caught a Lombre," I said.
"Sweet!" Zack said as the three of us headed towards Bronze town.
