-Turtle Prime-

Raphael Prime groaned and shut his eyes tight. The pain had been getting worse and worse, and he still had no idea where it was coming from. He wanted to shout out because of it, but being on top of a building put him in too public a place to express his agony. He sat down on the edge of the building and swung his legs ten stories above the ground. The pain faded for a moment and Raphael was free to look out at the vast black and white city skyline and think.

"Raphael."

The turtle flipped around, shocked to have been snuck up on. Behind him stood his brothers, Donatello, Leonardo, and Michelangelo. They looked serious but it was easy to tell they were in serious pain as well.

Raphael Prime glared at Leonardo. "Oh, look, it's Splinter Junior. Weren't you the one who told me not to leave the Lair?" The turtle turned back around and stared out at the city again. He kept still as he felt the horrible pain return, helpless to stop it. "What took you so long?"

"We went to visit Casey and April first. You were right, they've been feeling a bit of the pain too. This is your favorite building to hang out at, so we knew we could find you fast. There's something we have to tell you."

"Go home. What happened to your orders to stay in the Lair, safe and sound?"

Leonardo Prime stomped forward and pulled his Raphael to his feet to face him. "That was hours ago. Things have gotten worse. Something big is going to happen. That's not a feeling anymore, not a guess. We're pretty sure. It has everything to do with this pain."

Raphael stubbornly stepped back from Leonardo. He turned to Donatello Prime. "You found out what was going on, Donnie?"

"Raphael, we're feeling the pain of those turtles we met last month. Those pudgy, short ones and the tall, square ones."

Raphael snorted and glared eye-to-eye with Donatello Prime, their white eyes piercing each other under their dark masks. Raphael remembered all too well those turtles, whose bright colors were a sharp contrast to the total black-and-white of Turtle Prime. "Why now, brainiac? Why haven't we been feeling their pain for months?"

"They're at it again. They disobeyed Leonardo's orders to stay out of the multi-verse. The dimensions are met to be separate, forever and always. I think colliding them together like this is causing the pain somehow. I think they are going to come to Turtle Prime soon, but there has to be a reason they are in the multi-verse again, and for over two days."

"Nice theory, Einstein. Prove it." Raphael didn't want to believe his life was in serious danger, or that he'd have to deal with Raphael87 again.

"It's just a guess - "

"You said it wasn't a guess!" Raphael Prime turned to Leonardo. "Donatello has no proof! He hasn't gotten anywhere with figuring out this pain for two days!"

"Well, Raphael, do you have a better explanation for any of this? ...Well?" Leonardo retorted. "I believe what Donatello says is truth!"

"If it means anything, I believe Donatello too," interjected Michelangelo. He shrunk away when Leonardo and Raphael glared at him.

"I think we'll have proof soon enough." Donatello stepped forward, pushing Raphael and Leonardo away from each other. "Let's go back to the street where we saw the alternate-dimensional turtles a month ago. We'll have a stake-out and see if anything comes. I'm so sure something will happen, I'll wait there as long as it takes to prove it and you all will do it with me."

As Raphael and Leonardo Prime grudgingly followed Donatello, hurtling from rooftop to rooftop in his wake, Michelangelo sighed and said,"Well, at least there's a pizza place near that street. I won't starve," and ran to catch up with them.

-The 1997 Next-Mutation Dimension-

"Kraang will direct the one known as Shredder to the Lair of the turtles of this dimension. Kraang has much knowledge on this particular dimension."

"Do it quickly, Kraang," demanded Shredder, staring into the black, shadowed abyss of the sewer he stood in. "The wretched turtles that have been following me might find me yet again. I do not want to risk it."

"Kraang agrees. Now take approxiametly forty-eight steps forward and turn to the direction known as right when you run into the wall..."

Shredder12 obeyed, keeping a sharp eye out so he didn't run into the wall in the darkness. After taking the left turn and finding another fork in his path, Shredder asked "Where now?" There was silence, no reply from the Kraang.

"Where now, Kraang?" Shredder hissed impatiently, wishing he was able to punish the Kraang for delaying him. Finally there was a reply.

"Kraang apologizes. The Kraang is what is known as 'busy'."

"What are you busy with?"

"...Walk forward fifty-two steps and then turn in the direction known as right."

Shredder12 dropped the subject, excited to get to the turtles. He imagined a graphic scene in his mind, with the turtles quickly falling to him as he ravaged their Lair. He couldn't fail again. Two days travelling from dimension to dimension and only one fan-fiction turtle had died by his hand.

"I won't fail you, Tang Shen. Not again."

- in the 1997 Lair -

"I'm telling you, Raph, don't go out motorcycling whenever you want, especially in broad daylight! If I've told you once, I've told you a million times."

"I'd say a million and one. All you do is nag, Leo!" Raphael97 threw down his hands and stomped away. He dropped down on the couch and rested his head against the wall of the abandoned subway station that Splinter slept in. Raphael97 rolled his eyes and broke eye contact with Leonardo97, who was glaring at him across the Lair with folded arms, and looked instead at Venus de Milo. The girl turtle was sitting on a mat on the floor, meditating in the midst of the chaos - an argument between Leonardo and Raphael and Donatello sparring with Michelangelo to practice. She was a short turtle with a light blue bandana with strands braided and falling below her shoulders. Her personality was unbelievably calm and she had been trained differently than the other turtles. The story about Venus de Milo was that she had been mutated with the other turtles but discovered by Chung I instead of Splinter. He had taken her to China and trained her in the magical arts of the "shinobi" and when he had died, Venus came to New York and met her fellow mutant turtles. She had only been with the turtles a couple weeks but had already defeated Shredder all on her own and had battled a new enemy named Dragon Lord. All through this and getting used to New York, her strong spirit never wavered.

"Venus, how do you keep so calm? You live with Leo!"

Venus slowly opened her eyes, responding to the words like they had been the first sound she'd heard in the long while she'd been meditating. "I also live with you, Raphael. It's not easy, but I do my best."

Raphael97 huffed. Venus stood up and walked over to him. "Just remember that he is your brother and he cares for you. He worries about the trouble you get into when you go out on your own. I haven't known you all that long but I already know Leonardo would risk his life to save any of us."

"Uh, thanks, Venus," Leonardo97 said from across the Lair. He waved to her shyly. Michelangelo97 looked away from his sparring and waved to Venus as well, and was distracted enough for Donatello97 to knock him down. The purple-masked turtle put one foot on his downed brother and put his hands on his hips in a heroic pose.

"I, Donatello - genius, ninja expert, video game master - have conquered this mighty beast! All bow down to me!"

"Geez, get off me!" Michelangelo97 jumped to his feet. "And you are not the video game master! Have you not seen my high scores? I'm one point off being world-ranked!"

"And one species off," said Raphael97, snickering. He put his feet on the table and his hands behind his head, finally relaxing.

"I am surprised Master Splinter is sleeping through all of this," commented Venus de Milo. "You four are almost as loud as all of the New Yorkers above us."

"Uh, Venus, I do believe you are exaggerating," Donatello97 pointed out. "New York is one of the loudest, busiest cities in the world, while the maximum noise level I have measured in this Lair is two-hundred-ten decibals - Mikey's rock star phase."

"I thought we agreed to never speak of that again, Donnie!" hissed Michelangelo97. "Anyway, Venus. Trust us, Master Splinter has had years of practice. The guy can sleep through anything, even the toaster exploding when Raphael tries to make dinner, but somehow can still wake up in an emergency. And he's had a rough past couple weeks." With that, Michelangelo97 turned and restarting his sparring with Donatello97, instantly knocking down his unprepared brother.

-Dimension X, in the Technodrome-

Pretending he was still knocked out and not moving, Shredder87 was able to watch the Krang-like robots continue with whatever they were doing in the Technodrome they had conquered. They left April87 hanging from the ceiling, uncaring about her renewed determination to scream her head off. Bebop and Rocksteady had been taken from the control room a while ago, and where they were and what was being done to them, Shredder87 had no idea. Krang - the one Shredder87 was teamed up with - was gone as well.

Splinter87 was watching the whole thing adamently, trapped behind the glass of one of Kraang's old experiments. Little did he know that it was an invention Krang had used to demutate Bebop and Rocksteady for a few hours.

Finally, two Krang grabbed Shredder87, one by his feet and one by his shoulders, and carried him out of the room. Shredder let them, knowing he could defend himself and wanting to know where everyone else had gone.

"The next part of the plan should be executed at the time known as now, Kraang," Shredder87 heard one of the many robots say as he was carried out of the room.

- in the walls of the Technodrome-

"What is going on in there?" Donatello09 wondered aloud, pressing his ear against the metal panels of the Technodrome. "I hear new voices but no more of the other one's."

"Should we attack now? Get our revenge?" said Raphael09, punching the palm of his hand. "Just in case something is happening down there that would prevent us. Those two Shredders should get their comeuppance for trying to kill us!"

"No." Donatello09 waved his hand absentmindedly, silencing his brother. "I can tell there's over a hundred new people in there. We shouldn't risk it. Let's wait a while, see if a good time comes up to attack. If the voices don't go away soon..."

"We'll find a way to sneak past them and find the Shredders," finished Leonardo09, nodding. He readjusted himself - sitting in the cramped space within the walls of this huge machine was getting to him. He was sore and wanted to move around, and had been in here for over a day. He and his brothers had to get their revenge on Shredders soon or find a way to open a portal home inside the Technodrome, even if they didn't succeed.

-2012 Dimension-

The Kraang read the message they had received from Dimension X on a screen on the control panel, struggling to get a good view of it through the huge crowd. One Kraang was in front, its head bowed down to read the message. Suddenly, it snapped its neck upwards in the blink of an eye. The robot turned to look at Karai, who had been curiously watching the Kraang crowd the control panel. The crowd parted, allowing her to see the single Kraang.

Startled by the one Kraang staring at her, Karai diverted her eyes to the percentage bar on the huge monitor screen. As she watched, the percentage sped from ninety-eight percent to one-hundred. Slowly, her mouth fell open. She felt a tug in her stomache, nervous and excited and uncertain.

"Kraang have found Turtle Prime," the Kraang said, it's pink electronic mouth piece flashing with the words. "All for the human known as Karai."

Karai slid her feet off the table. "Get the portal ready." She swallowed nervously. "It's time."

-Turtle Prime-

"Leonardo, we have been here forever!" Raphael Prime stood up and stood face to face with his brother, white eyes gleaming in the growing darkness. "Nothing is going to show! We haven't been feeling the pain nearly as much since a short while after we came up on this rooftop."

Leonardo Prime turned away from his brother and folded his arms, staring out at the black-and-white city he was so used to and then up and the increasing number of stars. "I've still got a feeling, Raphael. And the pain hasn't completely gone away. We shouldn't be feeling any at all, as none of us have been injured seriously since the time we met the alternate dimension turtles a month or so ago."

"I am now absolutely sure this unusual 'phantom pain' is somehow connected to the other dimensions of turtles," interjected Donatello Prime. He plucked a pizza out of Michelangelo's hands and continued. "Meeting other ninja turtles with our names and feeling agony we shouldn't, neither of those have happened to us before. It was the first time ever that the dimensions had been traversed a month ago. No one knew the consequences. I believe this pain is the consequence." Donatello Prime sat down again and stuffed the rest of the pizza in his mouth and began to add furiously to the notes he was taking in a notebook.

"But a whole month after all of the dimension-hopping? Why?" asked Leonardo, stepping in front of his brother and looking at the notes upside-down. The leader's dark gray mask blew lightly in the building wind.

"No. The turtles are definitely out in the dimensions again, like we've guessed. I suppose the pain is a side-effect of the trans-dimensional travelling that has been initiated by the continued breaking of dimensional laws." His words were punctuated by a swear word from Raphael, due to another jab of pain. "I'd bet anything that the turtles are trying to protect us from something, keep it away from Turtle Prime. Remember, if we die, they all die as well."

"I don't think this has to do with the other turtles," said Michelangelo Prime, grimacing at the pain in his arm that made it feel like he'd broken it.

"The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it," Donatello said proudly, tapping his head with the end of his pencil.

Michelangelo Prime sat up straight and growled,"But Leonardo told them to stay out of the other dimensions! Those wannabes should obey the great and powerful Turtle Primes! Geez, I wish we had a way to go to other dimensions. Then we'd catch those guys and pummel 'em!"

"Can't. They have to come to us. The Donatellos in the other dimensions are somehow smart enough to invent the near-impossible technology of alternate-dimension travel, even with the few sources a sewer-dwelling mutant can come across! Whereas they are, er, full-on geniuses, I am more of a tinkerer and a hacker." Donatello Prime frowned, as if displeased to be bested in knowledge, even by himself.

Raphael Prime cleared his throat. "Back to what Michelangelo said. Didn't Leo tell those guys to stay in their own dimensions?"

"There's got to be a reason they're doing it." Donatello Prime tapped his pencil against his chin in thought. "Believe me, I think they had every intent of following Leonardo's orders - we intimidated them pretty well. I think a problem came up and they have to do this to solve it. The exact reason we should be cautious; that problem could come to our dimension." Donatello Prime grabbed at some of his notes that almost blew away, as the wind began to whip all the turtles' mask ends around wildly. "I'd bet anything they are trying to protect us, by keeping the problem out of the multi-verse. Remember, if we die, they all perish as well."

"Hmm..." said Leonardo Prime. He looked down at the street, the very place he'd met the alternate dimension turtles. Had it really been a month ago? He wondered if he'd be seeing those turtles again like Donatello thought. Would there be more than those two groups - the 1987 and 2003 turtles - this time? Leonardo Prime felt increasingly frustrated with the lack of understanding of the situation.

"Maybe all this pain is just growing pains. We are pretty short," suggested Michelangelo hopelessly as he hastily caught the near-empty pizza box blowing away.

"Nah," said Donatello,"This pain is too constant and agonizing. Anyway, I've calculated it. We are actually above the average height for thirteen-year-old mutant turtles in this dimension."

"How the heck do you know that?!"

"Educated guesswork." Donatello Prime shrugged.

Suddenly there was a huge blast of wind. It knocked Leonardo Prime straight off his feet onto his shell. The other turtles, sitting down, shouted as the wind shoved their faces forward. Michelangelo Prime barely stopped his face from hitting the floor at high speed.

Raphael09 struggled to get back up. He clutched the edge of the building and pulled his head up to look around. Down below in the empty street, a portal - pink with a watery surface - had opened. The wind slowed down as a single human stepped out. Raphael couldn't make out who it was, and turned to see Leonardo glancing over the edge at the person as well. After a moment, the human - standing serenely in the middle of the street - shouted "Come out, turtles! I dare you!" in an obviously feminine voice. The portal snapped shut and the wind died, leaving her alone in the street.

"Leo? What do we do?" asked Michelangelo Prime in a whisper.

Leonardo looked pressed to figure something out. He hadn't been expecting this at all - was this girl the problem that caused the other turtles to follow her through the dimensions? He turned to his brothers and hissed, "Climb down the back of the building and hide. Spy on her and she what she's like. We'll attack when she least expects it."

- 1997 Next Mutation Dimension -

Leonardo90 lead the way to through the sewers, dashing to catch up with Shredder12. The 1990 turtles didn't know why, but they felt they knew the direction to the Lair of this dimension, and since that was the best lead any of the turtles had they decided to go with it.

Listening to his gut, Leonardo90 was surprised to find that he was taking all the turns he would have taken to get to his Lair in the 1990 dimension. Even though they were running as fast as they could and the 1990 turtles had an unexplicable feeling they were going the right way, Shredder12 was still probably miles ahead.

-1997 Next Mutation Lair-

"Come on, Leo!" shouted Donatello97 happily. "Take on the winner! See if you could beat me!" The purple-masked turtle smiled smugly and pounded his metal bo staff of the ground. Michelangelo97, who had lost the sparring match, rolled his eyes jeolously.

"All right." Leonardo97 stepped in front of Donatello97 and pulled out his signature weapon - a single, long broadsword, unbelievably shiny from Leonardo's many dedicated hours of polishing it. "But I'm warning you, Donnie, you won't come out of this in one piece. Eighteen years and you still can't top me? Why do you think you can now?" he taunted.

"How about whoever wins this round goes up against me?" asked Venus.

The smug look dropped off of Donatello97's face and Leonardo97's sword fell to his side. They both knew Venus was more powerful than them. Her magical powers had even defeated Shredder - not in the most exciting way, but, still. Finally, Donatello97 relunctantly mumbled,"Umm, sure." Venus clapped excitedly. Leonardo97 then turned to Donatello97 and shouted "GO!" and the two adopted brothers launched at each other.

Leonardo97 swung his sword, but it was met by Donatello's metal bo staff and a heavy clang and some loose sparks. Donatello97 stepped back and pressed a button on his staff and it elongated to its full length. The turtle spun it over his head so quick the staff became a silver blur, and out of nowhere jabbed it outwards straight at Leonardo97's face. The blue-masked turtle ducked and swung his sword upward to ward away the bo staff, then flipped backwards. Donatello97 went for another attack but this time Leonardo tripped him and grabbed the bo staff away. Donatello97 landed on his shell and Venus declared Leoanardo97 the winner. The blue-masked turtle helped his brother to his feet. "Not bad, Donnie."

Donatello97 brushed himself off and straightened his mask. "No. It was atrocious. I was too slow, and there were a thousand attacks I could have started with and I went with the most predictable." The turtle groaned, wishing he'd done better.

"Don't beat yourself up about it, Donnie!" Leonardo97 said as his brother stepped off to the side.

"Yeah, you've already gotten beaten up enough," joked Michelangelo97, sitting on the couch next to angry Raphael97.

Leonardo turned around and saw Venus de Milo standing before him, ready for her turn. She flicked her hand and her weapon, a black tessen, flung open. Leonardo97 hastily got into battle position and tightened his grip on his sword.

"WHERE IS THE RAT?"

"Gah!" Michelangelo97 jumped to his feet and backed away, pulling a shocked Raphael97 with him. Leonardo97 stumbled and stared, awestruck, and Donatello97 looked terrified and confused, already trying to analyze the situation. The only sound in the entire Lair was the turtles' rushed breathes and the ringing of Leonardo's sword as he dropped it on the floor without realizing it. In the entrance to the Lair, stood the Shredder. He looked nearly entirely different from how the turtles remembered him (which was stocky with a padded suit and an gringe-inducing ugly helmet) but was still recognizable - stern and tall, with metal armor, but the helmet still retained the three prongs.

"WHERE?" shouted the man again. No one answered. He resolved to watching there eyes and noticed how some of them would nervously glance at the abandoned building nearby in the Lair and then back to Shredder12.

So that's where Splinter is.

Shredder12 charged. He leapt over the couch and tried to run straight into the building, but out of the blue Michelangelo97 kicked him away. Shredder12 stood up and saw the orange-masked turtle standing before him, but brandishing tonfas (ninja weapons in the shape of a gun but made out of wood with a blade where the barrel would be) rather than his usual nunchucks. Michelangelo97 struck out with one tonfa and Shredder12 blocked it, but then the turtle struck again with the other one and got a hit, on the side of the right leg. Shredder12 hit the turtle away before he could puncture the skin too deep, but didn't even have time to catch his breath before Raphael97 came running at him.

Shredder flung his bladed wrist forward but the turtle dropped on his knees to dodge it and then rolled to his side and kicked at Shredder's leg. Leonardo97 leapt into the air and spun, planting his feet firmly on Shredder12's back and pushing off. "Blast off!" Shredder12 keeled over but Leonardo97 landed gracefully, flipping over in the air and landing on the couch. Shredder12 was barely two feet away and lunged for the blue-masked turtle. Leonardo used the bouncy couch cushions to quickly leap over Shredder and back onto the floor. The villain got to his feet and after effortlessly blocking two shuriken, looked forward to see Venus de Milo.

"Perhaps I should have finished you when I had the chance. The evil in you is too powerful to divert!" the girl turtle hissed. She didn't take out her tessen, but instead took a deep breath and closed her eyes. Shredder12 took the bait and attacked.

Eyes still closed, Venus side-stepped him. Then when he swung around to attack again, Venus caught his arm and her dark eyes popped open to get a good look at her enemy's surprised face, just before she elbowed him in it. Shredder12 recoiled and Venus ran at him, flinging out her tessen. She leapt up into the air and tried to hit him with her tessen, but Shredder12 kicked upwards and sent her flying away. She landed near the couch, groaning, and barely managed to get on her knees.

Leonardo97 suddenly felt very angry. He dashed towards the Shredder, leaning over and grabbing his sword that he'd dropped as he ran. The turtle ducked a punch and swung his sword. He missed and hit Shredder's metal armor. Shredder blocked the next strike with his spikes, but Leonardo97 pressed his sword against the spikes - trying to break past them - using all the strength he had. The turtle didn't see Shredder12's leg as it came soaring at him, sending him straight at Venus. The girl turtle had just barely managed to get to her feet and Leonardo97 knocked her down again. Michelangelo97 and Raphael97 tried to distract the Shredder so he wouldn't go for the weakened turtles. Donatello97 ran over to help Leonardo and Venus, checking for injuries.

Just as Raphael97 shouted out in pain as Shredder's long spikes slid across his shoulder, there was shout.

"Get away from my family!"

Shredder quickly flung Michelangelo97 to the side and kicked Raphael97 away and looked up. His eyes glinted when he saw Splinter97 standing before him. "So, the rat has fallen into my trap."

"Maybe so." Splinter97 didn't look well. He looked tired and weak, leaning on his staff for support. Only a short time ago had the turtles rescued him from the Dream Realm, where he had suffered at the hands of the Dragon Lord, and was now much worse for wear. Splinter97 was very short and looked like he had no chance against the Shredder. But still, there was a crazy determination eminent in Splinter. He would do anything to keep Shredder12 away from his sons and Venus.

"Fight me, Shredder," said Splinter.

"Sensei, no!" Leonardo97 cried, pulling himself to his feet.

"Leonardo, this is between me and the Shredder. No one attacks my family in their own home without suffering the consequences," said the rat sternly. Donatello97 pulled Leonardo97 away and the turtles watched helplessly from the sidelines.

Splinter97 glared across the Lair at Shredder. The rat stood straight and rallied his strength. Shredder12 smiled and his spikes slowly enlongated a few more inches to their full-length. After a few seconds silence - the only noise being Leonardo97 struggling to break free from his brothers' grip and go help Splinter - Shredder12 and Splinter97 charged.

"Don't!" shouted Leonardo97, eyes wide as he watched the fight begin.

- 1997 Dimension sewers -

"We're close! I know we are!" shouted Donatello90, running ahead of Leonardo90 to lead the group.

"How do you know?" called Michelangelo13 from the middle of the group, bewildered by the 1990 turtles' unexplained certainty they were going the right way. "We could be heading away from where we are supposed to be going, for all we know!" There was a murmur of assent within the group.

All the sudden, a voice rang out, echoing throughout the tunnels in the direction they were running. "Get away from my family!"

"That can only be Splinter!" exclaimed Leonardo87. He felt his speed increase and saw everyone else's do so as well, as they were all sure they were going to right way now. "Shredder has already gotten to their Lair! Come on, we must help them. No time for hesitation, turtles!"

Leonardo12 smiled, wishing he could say things like that to his brothers without being ridiculed. He struck out his sword and ran ahead with Leonardo87. "What he said!"

"Great," said Raphael12, rolling his eyes,"Leonardo's met Captain Ryan in turtle form! They're encouraging him!"

There was the sound of groans and struggling coming from the direction of the `1997 dimension's Lair, and someone cried "Don't!" It was obvious there was trouble brewing there.

"This is a job for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!" added Leonardo12. Leonardo87 smiled and gave Leonardo12 a thumbs-up, as if he was approving of a student's work.

"Geez, Leo! This isn't a cartoon!" groaned Raphael12.

-Turtle Prime-

Karai walked down the street, scanning the buildings for any sign of the turtles. It was growing dark, so she didn't notice the shadows in the alleyways, the ones of the turtles following her. Watching her every move.

Karai thought she heard something directly behind her, but when she flipped around there was no one there. Next she heard a snicker, but didn't know if she was imagining it. Then she heard a rustle in the alleyway close to her, but once she peered into it, she didn't notice the turtles pressed in the dark corner of the fire escape, white eyes gleaming.

For a moment, Michelangelo Prime jokingly walked directly behind her in the middle of the street. He copied the way she walked, with her hands clutched together behind her back and her eyes peering all around. But when she merely glanced to her side, Michelangelo was gone, hiding in plain sight but completely unnoticed.

She thought she saw a silhouette on the roof of a low building in her peripheral vision, but when she turned to get a good look at it, nothing was there.

Karai was tired of the feeling she was being watched. She had barely walked a few meters but was sure the turtles were near in this supposedly abandoned street. "I'm tired of your games, turtles! Come out and fight me!" She turned in a circle, squinting at everything.

"It is you who is playing games, if you think you can beat us."

Karai flipped around yet again, and found herself face to face with Leonardo Prime. His brothers ran in from places Karai was sure she'd looked at thoroughly. They were short and stocky, black and white like the world around them, and the only way to tell them apart was by their weapons.

Karai smiled grimly. "Try me."

Leonardo Prime pulled out his other katana sword so fast Karai didn't even see it happen. "All right, we'll humor you. Take out your weapon."

Karai hesitated. She didn't know why - she wanted the turtles dead but even looking into the eyes of this Leonardo, so different in appearance and attitude from the one she knew, but still the same. She saw herself in her mind destroying this turtle and Leonardo12 falling as well because of it. Did she want that? Did she truly want the turtles dead, or was this all only to please her father?

"Too. Late." Leonardo Prime attacked before she was ready.
