War of souls
Karoshi: Ichigo! (Jumps down to ichigo's side and shakes him until his eyes open) Ichigo: un…Karoshi? Karoshi: what happened Ichigo!? Ichigo: um…(flinches) Karoshi! Listen, there's no time to explain, Karoshi you and ikiru need to get to the soul society NOW! (Karoshi turns his head towards Karoshi and signals "lets go". Karoshi draws his zanpakto and opens a senkaimon. Ichigo and Karoshi go in) ikiru: well I guess were off. Don't worry guys well be back soon. Ill find out what's eating at Karoshi. Later. (Follows into the senkaimon. When ikiru arrives to the other side, the soul society remains in ruins. Flames still burn everywhere; bodies of soul reapers and arruncars alike litter the streets.) Ichigo: a few days ago the arruncars began to feel threatened. The first 3 fell. Numbers 9 and 10 are still in fighting condition but number 8 no longer has the spirit to fight on. They doubled their efforts against us. Direct attacks, sneak attacks, night attacks. We've been at our wits end in fighting them. I'm gathering a team of all the best soul reapers to attack the arruncars head on. Ikiru and Karoshi…it was you two who have continued success in battling them.
Ichigo: id like you two to lead the strike on the arruncars. Ikiru: we cant. Karoshi: were running an extremely important mission in the world of the living. We can't just abandon it. Ichigo: the arruncars are in the world of the living. (Ikiru and Karoshi both flinch) Ichigo: we can handle the fight here in the soul society. But the espadas need to fall. That's where you two come in. with you I will send 3 or 4 capable soul reapers to help in the fight. Karoshi: what are the arruncars after? We encountered them in the world of the living. They were aiding the stone against the leaf. Ichigo: we don't know yet. Karoshi: …fine. Well take them out for you. Luckily it qualifies as part of our mission. Send whatever team you've created after us. We need to be back to the world of the living. Ichigo: understood. See you soon. Ikiru: wait wait wait…how did you wind up past out in the world of the living? Ichigo: I faced of with espada number 1. Karoshi: he…was that strong? Ichigo: yes. Please be careful. (Karoshi smiles evilly) Ichigo: is something funny? Karoshi: heh heh… so the arruncars are that strong eh? This will be fun.
(The boys return to the world of the living in silence, neither saying a word to the other. Karoshi kept maintaining distance between them. Finally they return where hanako, hinata and ujinomaru are camping with a small campfire. It appears to be nighttime.) Ikiru: so what did we miss? Hanako: ikiru! (Tackle hugs him. Karoshi just goes to sit down next to hinata who he seems to be clinging to. He only talks to hinata and she's the only who can get close to him) ujinomaru: so what's the new plan. Ikiru: Ichigo wants us to be rid of the arruncars espadas for him. They allied themselves with the hidden stone against us so this is well within our mission qualifications. Ujinomaru: I see. Well everyone, get your sleeping bags out. Were going to need the sleep to keep going tomorrow. (Everyone gets out a sleeping bag and goes to sleep. About two hours later Karoshi wakes up and gets up. He starts to stroll down a path) Karoshi: (thinking: the akatsuki are after me to free the ten tails from me? That cant be it. I know that removing a biju kills the host. Did they lie to get the ten tails? Or is there more to it? (Suddenly Karoshi flinches and turns around but nothing is there) Karoshi: this spiritual pressure…its so heavy…I can barley move…come out! I know someone's there! (Suddenly the pressure lets up and Karoshi turns around again to see a shadowy figure in a tree sitting casually on a branch)
Karoshi: who are you? Figure: hello Karoshi. (His voice sounds like its coming over the radio) ive been waiting some time now to meet you. Karoshi: I said who are you!? Figure: how rude of me. I am known not by a name, but rather an alias. "Boss" is what most call me. Karoshi: "boss"? Boss of what? Boss: enough about me. I'm here to speak with you about you Karoshi. Karoshi: what of me? Boss: the akatsuki. Karoshi: *flinches* you…you cant be… boss: that's right. I am there leader. Karoshi: go away. I have no interests in a group of people who would kill me to take the ten tails. Boss: you've got it all wrong Karoshi. That was a lie told to your village and its people. We want you. Karoshi: spit it out akatsuki! I despise riddles. Boss: heh heh. Very well. I suppose you can be trusted with the basic gist of our goals. The akatsuki wishes to gather shinobi from near and far in order to unite the world. How ever because people hate each other so much peace is unattainable. There's only one way to make true peace. Unite the world under an ultimate military force! So that people are to scared to fight each other!
Karoshi: your fucking insane. Piss off shadow man. Boss: in the world I strive for you would be revered as a god. (Karoshi flinches and stops in his tracks) boss: you've begun to feel it. The hate of the village, no of the world of you. Even your own teammates. The world I strive for is one of piece. Karoshi, I want you to become the akatsukis most powerful advocate. Then our plans can skyrocket and the world will be united under the banner of the akatsuki. Wars disappear all at once. People will stop hating each other because we present them with a common enemy. A rule of fear is instilled in the world. People become to frighten to fight. We will rule with an iron fist. Rebellions are crushed, street fights will lead to executions, and in time all of mankinds animosity will disappear. You hold the key to this revolution Karoshi uchiha. We need pure military might. And you possess the highest possible potential. Just think of what could be accomplished if you tamed the ten tails and awoke the mangekyo Sharingan.
Karoshi: the mangekyo…Sharingan? Boss: you don't know about it? In exchange for the life of your closest friend, your Sharingan transforms into something destructive. The pure power so rarely exists that only a small number of Sharingan users have ever awakened them. The power is something nearly unheard of. Sasuke possesses these eyes. With their power he raided a gokage summit and held his own against all 5 kage! My time has run short Karoshi. I hope we meet again someday…soon. (The shadow dissolves) Karoshi: mangekyo…Sharingan. The power to face off against all five kage? And the ten tails? Plus my soul reaper powers. (Looks down at his hands) he must be lying to me. Or? I have much to consider. (Walks back to his camp site and climbs back into his sleeping bag. Before closing his eyes he glances to ikiru sleeping)
