Akin to A Magikal Moment from the last book, this chapter is an incredibly short chapter, but it is so vitally important that I cannot stress how much it needs to be its own chapter apart from Petrel's Poison or He Lives in Flint
So without further ado,
The Luckiest Brake I ever got in a Nuzlocke Challenge
*Cliff Cave*
If Scarlet was dead, I needed another water type to actually battle with. I mean, Twinkle was fine level-wise, but he only knew HM moves really, and I'd trained a Starmie up already anyway, it didn't work out too well the last time.
"Anyone find any pokemon at all yet?" I called out.
"No!" They all called back. This was upsetting. I kicked some dust around to pass the time by.
"Not a single Krabby." Flint said
"Not a Geodude either." Talon put in.
"Hell, there isn't even a Zubat!" Liteweight noted.
"Ah what the hell." I said giving up. "Come on guys let's leave."
"Right behind you!" Talon said, happy that this was finally freaking over.
We had almost exited the cave when a rumbling noise was heard.
"Was that your stomach?" Powerball asked me.
"No…" I said looking back into the cave. "It was…"
The ground started to shake and I could see that something was burrowing up into the cave. "Brace yourselves!" I yelled.
"Grouahhh!" I heard the burrower roar as dust and sand clouded the cave.
"acoughcough" I coughed as I cleared the dust. "No way…" I said looking up.
"What?" Flint poked his head out of a sand pile. "what is…Oh wow…" He said as he turned his head to what I was looking at. Standing before us…in Cliff Cave…
Was a giant Steelix.
Flint and I looked at each other and nodded.
*Lucius the Steelix joined the party*
And with that we flew back to Goldenrod.
