Chapter 12:
The Conference

Today was a special day. And not a special day as in for a single person or a group of people. No, this special day was even more special than that. This was a special day for the entire world. But this special day wasn't exactly one that many people were looking forward to, if any. There was one man, however, who was looking forward to this day. He had been for thousands and thousands of years now. And it was finally here.

The Watcher walked into the room inside the UNO building in Geneva where the worldwide conference was to be held, wearing a casual black suit. The last time something as big as this had happened had been the aftermath of World War II, with a few exceptions along the road like the Korean War. But the Watcher paid no attention to any of that. This was the most important day for him. Everything he had set up had led to this day.

He was able to find his seat up in the first row, meaning that he was that important in this meeting. Not that he didn't know that already. The corporation he had set up was that important in world affairs. Every major nation respected him, as did their leaders. It had been his corporation that had helped the world through difficult times, like the Great Depression or rebuilding Europe after World War II had come to an end, etc. Of course, it had been under different personas that he had accomplished this. But just like he had done so in the past, the Watcher had been able to keep the great relations with the different countries.

'And it's finally paid off,' he thought as he sat down. Apparently he had been put between the Russian president and the Prime Minister of England. Oh well. It wasn't like he minded either men. They were just like the rest. Insignificant. And by the rest, he meant every other person in this room. And that included the President of the United States. The man had already played his part.

'Except for bearing the entire blame in the eyes of the world,' he thought with satisfaction. It was how it would happen. The President thought that he was here to help him. Instead, the Watcher planned to do the exact opposite. But no one knew that. Not even the other leaders. They too thought that he was here to help the United States clear herself of all charges. But he would just present them with undeniable evidence that he just happened to find under his own investigations. He already knew how he would play all of this out.

Of course, he knew that Naruto and his little group could show up. He had already considered that a possibility. Or rather, he knew that it was going to happen. It was unavoidable. But it didn't matter. He already had Violet and the rest of the jinchuriki stationed around the building, camouflaged as regular security. And his "regular" men for that matter. And even if they did manage to break in somehow, he could just pin Uzumaki Inc. as associates, working together with the United States in an attempt to gain control of the Middle East. Anko was all the proof he needed of that. Actually, he already planned on doing that regardless.

Despite himself, a small smile did appear on his face. No one was paying attention to him yet, though. They were all too busy talking to each other, forming little groups around the room like high school brats. The President of the United States had yet to show up as well. But still. He couldn't afford to lax off. At least, not yet. But he couldn't help it. Things had played it just too perfect, with a few exceptions here and there. But none that couldn't be easily fixed.

Things should be going to hell in the Shinigami's realm as well. But that too would come in play later as well. After the idiots who had been placed in charge of too much power were done declaring war against each other. Then would he deal with the Shinigami and Kami who would be too late to stop him. And Earth, along with Kami's creations, would finally be his. He would take up mantle along with the rest of the gods, ascending to their level.

'And the fools will never laugh at me again,' he thought in bitterness, his hands clenching into fists at his side.

His train of thought came into a halt as the moderator of the meeting, or speaker, came strolling in through one of the back doors, two men in black suits at his side. The Watcher idly wondered the man was from again before destroying the thought. It didn't really matter.

But seeing that the man was here, the rest of the leaders of the nations in the UNO began to walk to their own seats. It was then that the Watcher finally saw the President of the United States walking into the room. And it was obvious that the other leaders weren't fond of him at the moment.

'Really, they're just like children,' thought the Watcher as he observed all of this. 'The only difference here being that they can drag the world down with them.' And that was exactly what was going to happen here. It made him giddy just thinking about it. Through his giddiness, however, he was able to see how the new King of Saudi Arabia was looking at the President of the United States with pure hatred in his eyes. The new King was apparently the oldest son that the old King had. But of course, the Watcher had been expecting that. If there was one thing that he knew how to do was how to play with the hearts of humans. It was so easy to fill it up with darkness. It was how he had been able to get Violet at his side, after all. It was also why he had counted for the new ruler to be the King's son. He would aim all his hatred at the United States, not stopping until they paid the price. And combined with what the Watcher planned to add, the other leaders would be doing the same thing. And he knew that the President would then fight back, creating the final Great War which would lead to his new world.

The moderator cleared his throat as he began to speak in French, indicating the start of the meeting. Every other leader was in their seats, looking at the screens in front of them as it played what the moderator was saying in their own language or listening to the little device on their ear. The Watcher looked at his own screen as it translated what the main speaker was saying in Japanese, not that it was needed. He could speak every language in the world, both past and present. But oh well. He couldn't be picky.

"I now declare this meeting a start."

Violet looked up at the clear blue sky as she stood up on top of the UNO building where the conference was being held at the moment. She sighed in boredom as she stood there, wishing that something interesting would just happen already. Or rather that Naruto would just show up already since she knew that he was going to already. She didn't need her powers to tell her that.

But at least she wasn't cooped up inside. That would have sucked even more. She had simply made the case that being up here would have given her a better advantage of using her powers, jinchuriki included. The Watcher had bought it. Or rather he didn't care enough to argue with her. He had reached his limit with her apparently. Or rather her obsession over Naruto. Not that she cared. The so-called "god" would be out of the way soon enough, his plan along with him. Except for one aspect: herself.

She would be the one to take up the right place as the new goddess of the human race. Except that it wouldn't be the Watcher that would be standing next to her. No, it was going to be Naruto. She just needed to get him away from the useless people that were around him. Anko had already been taken care of. It was only a matter of time before the others were as well. And as the mistress of time, she would see it done.

Violet came out of her thoughts as one other person stopped next to her. It was none other than Nii Yugito. Or rather the shell that once housed her soul. It was now just simply a container to hold the Nibi which was being controlled by the Watcher. And the reason that the woman was up here with her was because she possessed incredible senses, mainly because of the beast that was housed inside the body. It was invaluable right now. Or so had the Watcher told her. It wasn't like Violet cared either way. She only hoped that she had the chance to destroy Fu's body before all of this was set and done. Oh, how would that bring great pleasure to her. It was the only thing that she would enjoy more than controlling her body.

Violet came out of her thoughts again as her own training kicked in, sensing two powerful individuals nearby. Yugito seemed to sense this as well as she crouched down, ready to defend any attack that could be thrown their way. But then the two presences seemed to vanish, leaving no traces behind.

Violet narrowed her eyes at that, her eyes beginning to glow. 'Now this is interesting. I didn't recognize them. Who could they be?'

It seemed as if she had two unknowns in her hands. And even her powers couldn't tell her who they were. Things were beginning to get interesting, after all. A lot sooner than she expected to.

A dark smirk appeared on her face. She was beginning to get excited.

"Do you think that was wise?"

Standing in one of the nearby alleyways close to the UNO building, two women were standing, invisible to everyone else in the world thanks to the powers of Izanami herself. The other woman who had spoken was leaning against one of the walls, her arms crossed in front of her chest.

Izanami smiled at her partner. "Who do you take me for? Despite my old appearance, I'm still a goddess, one of the most powerful ones too. A little girl is no match to me, even if she does have a small part of Kami's power."

The other woman raised an eyebrow. "So you're telling me you can block her abilities?"

Izanami nodded. "Yes. Despite that she's mastered that power to a degree far greater than anyone could expect, she hasn't mastered it fully. I can hide myself from her stream of time and anyone else I see fit. Which means you. I simply let her sense us for a moment to let her know that Naruto is not the only she has to worry about."

Her partner grinned. "Oh? Trying to take her mind off of Naruto, are you? I thought you didn't care if he succeeded or not."

Izanami closed her eyes as she answered, "Don't misunderstand me. Yes, I don't give a damn what he intends to do. But I do care about what Kami's messenger plans on doing. And I don't want to see that become a reality. Even if I won't be here when that happens. So I'm simply giving Naruto a small hand in this. But my main goal hasn't arrived to this realm yet. And only then will I become truly active in this."

The woman sighed as she looked over to the UNO building. She was silent for a few moments before she finally spoke. "I once had a conversation with an associate of mine. He's still around actually. Can't believe the bastard survived that day out of all of us. But then again, that's how he's always been." She shook her head before continuing, "Anyway, he brought something up interesting to me. That we were all tools controlled by someone else. Of course, at the time he was talking about Madara. But being here today, I have to say that even Madara was simply a means to an end for someone else. We all were. And I can't believe that the end is this…..this reality that that bastard is trying to create. Everything that we were hoping, everything that we sought out, everything that we joined together for…..it was all meaningless. It was simply for this. And I'm pissed off to know this. You could say that's my other reason for having joined you. To not let what the others accomplished be nothing. Because that's what they'll be if he gets his way."

Izanami, who had been listening intently, smiled at her. "When someone becomes close to you, it stays that way, doesn't it? The true source of power of your clan."

The woman didn't respond.

Izanami continued to smile as she turned her eyes towards the UNO building. "Don't worry, my friend. You will get that chance. As well as to be reunited with the man who took your heart. All will be coming down soon enough. Here and now."

The two women disappeared.

"Brother, do you not intend to join me? It is your realm, after all. No rules prevent you from going to it."

Kami shook his head as he and Izanagi stood outside of his palace-like structure. In front of them was a small stream that was showing them everything that was happening on Earth at the moment. Well, not everything. If it did, Izanagi would think twice about setting foot in Earth.

"No, I do not."

Izanagi sighed as he shook his head. Currently he was dressed in black and red colored armor, similar to the ones that Madara and Hashirama once wore. "You still remain stubborn, don't you? Can't you see that you can no longer remain a simple bystander? He might have been a loyal servant of yours at one point in time, but now he's simply a power hungry fool with enough ambition that makes him a great danger to the rest of us."

Kami looked off to the side. "I already have my representative to handle things in my stead."

Izanagi narrowed his eyes. "You can't lie to me, brother. Nor should you make any excuses. You can destroy that stupid rule that was created long ago under foolish assumptions."

A new emotion showed itself on Kami's face: anger. "You know very well why we agreed upon that, Izanagi. I will not see innocent humans die because of our petty struggle. You and I both know that's exactly what will happen if I go there. It's what he wants. No, I would much rather save their lives than destroy them. But take heed: I'm giving you permission to confront him, but not to start another war."

Izanagi snorted in annoyance. "You are far too kind. Can't you see that the war has already started! Or are you too blind to even notice what's in front of you!?"

Kami didn't respond. Instead, he began to walk away from his brother and the stream. "Do what you will, Izanagi. I only wish you don't come to terms with your own mistakes when it's already too late."

Izanagi narrowed his eyes before he too turn away from his brother, disappearing in an instant. Kami didn't have to turn around to know that his brother was already gone.

Coming to a stop, the most powerful god sighed in sadness as his faced expressed true anguish. He already what was going to happen, where everything was heading to. Not even he could stop it at this point. Even if he did go to Earth. That would just accelerate his servant's plan. No, the best he could do was let his own disciple handle things even if it did pain him to have to rely on him once more. But he had no choice. Not if he wanted to see what he was hoping for become true.

It was so close, so near his reach. He only needed to wait for it a little longer. It only pained him that so many would have to die for it, including one of his brothers.

"I've always wanted to ask you this….."

"What?"

"Why are you still here? You have no need for it anymore. Your master's plan…..it's over. It's been over with for years now. You have no need to be here right now. You could be doing your own thing."

"You still don't understand, do you? Even with those eyes of yours. But I'll clear your mind for you. His plan, everything that he prepared for, everything that he did, it was all an eventuality. And that eventuality is you. You are what he prepared for. You are his plan. And as long as you're still around, so is he. After all, you said it so yourself: it took the two of you to carry it all out in the past. And even now, that's still the truth. Without him, you wouldn't be. And without you, his preparation would have been for nothing. That is why I'm still here. And I will be until the end."

"Heh. I think that's the longest I ever heard you speak at once."

"It's my answer."

"Yea. And I'll take your word for it."

"And what exactly brought that question on?"

"Today. Today marks the most important milestone in our journey. Today is the start of the end, the true end. Where we will all either succeed or fail. Everything that we've done, everyone that has once stood with us, it has all led to this moment. Where we will see what we really are. Whether we'll ascend to those beyond, or fail and fall to the ground. This will be our true testament."

"Then shall we begin?"

"We shall. Our preparations have been completed. The bastard will never know what hit him."

The Watcher leaned back on his seat, setting himself in a more comfortable position as the main speaker began to detail out as to why this meeting was taking place. Not that it was necessary. Everyone already knew. But it was just something else that humans had created, this so called "protocol." It was simply another way that humanity had been trying to civilized themselves. But it was all for nothing. At their core, they were still all but animals driven by their instincts, even if they did possess more dangerous weapons than their ancestors. It was why they needed to be ruled. They couldn't be left on their own.

They couldn't be trusted.

'History has shown this to be true. Every cycle. It's all the same.'

"So this is why we are here today, ladies and gentlemen. In accordance with UNO regulations and laws, we are to judge whether the United States is guilty or not and what measures need to be taken in the scenario that they are."

"There's nothing to judge here!" screamed the new King of Saudi Arabia as he stoop up from his seat, a look of rage on his face. Pointing at the President of the United States, he spoke in perfect English, "Everyone here already knows that the Americans were behind the assassination of my father! The two dead agents confirm it! The only thing that needs to be decided here is what they'll do as retribution!"

"I disagree," the President said as he shook his head. "There's still not enough evidence to confirm what you are saying. And much sketchiness too."

"And what would that be?" asked the Russian President, who also spoke in perfect English.

"First, just how did my agents end up dead in the palace that night?"

"It's like how I've said it already," the King said through clenched teeth. "Some of the guards heard a commotion inside and rushed in, finding your CIA agents killing my father. Then they were able to kill them before they got away."

The President of the United States was silent for a few moments before he replied, "With all due respect, the CIA trains its agents better than that. If they really did intend to kill your now deceased father, then they wouldn't have made that mistake. No, they would have been out of there before anyone had the chance of catching them. Not only that, but I'm sure that I'm not the only one who finds it hard to believe that simple guards could have taken care of two CIA operatives."

The President knew that saying something like that, which could only be taken as an insult, wasn't going to help they situation any better. But he had a point to make. And the lives of his fellow Americans were on the line.

Just like the President expected, the King didn't take very well to what he just said. "Are you insulting my people even more now? Already when you have fooled us to this degree."

The President answered, "I'm not trying to disrespect anyone here. I'm just trying to show that what everyone is accusing the United States of is unlikely."

"Then what are you saying happened?" asked the Prime Minister of Japan from somewhere behind the President. Of course, the President of the United States along with everyone else had to either look at the screen in front of them or to the small listening device on their ear that translated everything to them.

The Watcher merely sat there, waiting for his cue.

The President closed his eyes for a moment before opening them and replying, "The most like scenario is that we were framed."

"Framed!?" the Prime Minister of England exclaimed. "By who!"

The President shook his head. "I don't know that. At least not yet." Looking at the new King, he carried on, "But I promise you that I will find out who did it. Everyone here just has to believe me when I say that the United States was not behind this assassination of the King."

The room went deadly silent. Just about every leader was looking unsure, not knowing what to do. To them, what the President of the United States was saying did make sense. But the CIA agents….they just didn't know what to believe. As for the newly erected King, he was still glaring daggers at the President of the United States, not convinced of a single thing that he was saying. He was in too much hate to even consider any other possibility.

The Watcher for his part was still leaning back on his chair, his eyes closed. He didn't have anything to add. At least, not yet.

"You can say all of that, Mr. President, but once again you have no solid proof. Just assumptions."

Everyone, save for the Watcher, turned their heads towards the Russian President who had spoken. Seeing that he had everyone's attention, he continued. "There is some truth to what you're saying. That much is true. But it's all based on your assumptions which can be twisted in any way you see fit to make it believable. Which you have. But I'm still not convinced. Not until you have shown me solid proof that what you're saying is true. Even if you have brought the Chairman from the Watch Industries with you." Everyone glanced at said Chairman who had to fight back a grin. It was just going so perfect!

The Russian President carried on with, "As close of a friend as he is with me, and with a lot of others in this room I may add, friendship isn't going to get us through with this. To uncover who is responsible for this plot. Whether the United States did it or not, it doesn't matter. We just need to discover who the mastermind is. Your country just happens to be the most likely suspect here, Mr. President. So once again, if you want to be cleared from this suspicion, then I suggest you start showing us your hard proof that what you say is true. That someone else is framing your country for this incident. And if you don't have any, then I'm sorry to say that I just can't find it in me to believe anything that you say. Even if the Chairman tries to persuade me otherwise."

"I would actually prefer if you didn't put words into my mouth. It's just rude."

Everyone turned their attention to one of the most important individuals in the world. At least, to them he was. It was also the very first thing that the man had said since the meeting had begun, and they were all anxious to see what he would bring into the discussion, the President of the United States more than anyone else.

The Russian President had a small smile as he said, "Come now, isn't that why you're here, Mr. Chairman? To side with the United States and convince us of their innocence? Well, I just thought that I would make it perfectly clear that I want solid proof before you start with whatever it is that you plan to say. And I'm sure I'm not the only one, given the special incident that has occurred."

The Watcher had to use all of his willpower to not laugh as he stood up. Oh, everything was just going exactly as planned. It was perfect!

"Yes, you're absolutely right on that. It's why I was first hesitant to be here today since I didn't have any proof whatsoever. But I believed in the President's righteous nature and gave in at the end, believing that I could somehow try to persuade you all that there was no way that the United States could be behind such an attack."

The Russian President narrowed his eyes as he commented on something that had caught his attention, "I can't help but notice that you're saying that as if it is in the past…do you not feel the same way at this moment? Isn't that why you're here?"

The American President's eyes were wide as he looked at the Watcher. There was no way the man could back out on him. Not now. If he did, then he wouldn't have anyone on his side. And that would be extremely bad.

The Watcher waited for a few more seconds, acting as if he was hesitant to say what he wanted to say next when it was the exact opposite. This was the exact moment he had been waiting for.

"I didn't want to say this, especially since I couldn't believe it myself when I found out. But considering the circumstances, I know that I can't keep quite about this."

The room went deadly silent as every single world leader paid rapt attention to what the Watcher was saying. And that was how said person wanted it to be. It was how he planned it out to be.

The next sentence was how the world came to an end.

"The United States is the one behind the assassination of the previous noble King of Saudi Arabia."

Yoruichi looked down at the door a few feet below her. Currently she was in her cat form, seeing it as a better alternative to sneaking into the UNO building rather than in her normal form. After all, who would think a cat was up to something bad? Or rather, anything bad enough that could affect the whole world. No one, that was who.

'The day has finally come eh?' she thought to herself as she crouched down, looking around for any sign of anyone else that could possibly be nearby. She was on the rooftop of the building, seeing it as her best possible way to get into the building. After all, she didn't have a fancy eye that Ken now had. And Naruto had told her that he wanted for her to at least distract one of the jinchuriki as he confronted the Watcher. Take down too if that was possible.

After the fight she had seen at the Watch tower, she would have normally said no. After all, how could you take down something that could just regenerate for who knows how long? Especially since that something was pure energy too. But that was before Naruto had given a little gift to her.

'Let's see you come at me now, you bastards,' she thought, a cheeky grin on her cat face. The grin disappeared soon enough, though, as Isshin came into her mind. It seemed as if the man couldn't hide the worry he felt about his daughters any longer. It also made her remember the conversation she had had with him before they had left the beach house.

Flashback: Start!

"I just don't get it. I really don't!"

Isshin turned away from the ocean view to look at his fellow shinigami who was standing next to him, her arms crossed as she huffed in indignation.

"And pray tell what don't you get?"

"You!" she replied in an instant as she pointed a finger at him. "I've stayed quiet about this long enough! The Isshin I know wouldn't be following the orders of a kid while his own daughters are out there somewhere in harm's way!"

Isshin sighed as he chuckled. "You have me all figured out, don't you?"

The purple haired shinigami t'ched at his answer, tapping her foot impatiently. "Don't change the subject. I want to know what's going through with your head right now. And I don't want you to say it's because the whole world is in danger. Even then, I know you would still be searching for them."

Isshin sighed again he turned away from her. "You're right. I am worried about them. What kind of a father would I be if I wasn't? The only reason they were even taken was because they wanted Ichigo to come after them. But Naruto was able to stop him from doing that. Ichigo would have been killed if he had, no doubt about it. He didn't have his shinigami powers. But me, I do. I still have them. I could have gone out there and looked for them."

"Then? Why didn't you?"

Isshin smiled bitterly, not that Yoruichi could see it. "And what makes you think I didn't?"

The woman's eyes widened at the confession. "Then-"

Isshin shook his head. "I've been here longer than you have. You've only just arrived. You still haven't seen all they can do. It's amazing, even I have to admit to that. It's one of the reasons why I'm sticking around and not out there searching like a madman. Because I already did that and it didn't work. I wasn't able to find them. But if I stick with them, who are searching for the same people that took them, I'll have more of a chance of saving them. Especially since they're all powerful in their own right."

Yoruichi shook her head. "Hear what you're saying. They don't care about your daughters. Naruto said so himself, even if he was putting it nicely. Can you really trust people like that?"

"Don't misunderstand me," Isshin replied as he turned around to face her again. "It's not like I trust them. They have their own goals that they want to accomplish. It just happens that they coincide with what we're trying to do that we're working together. You can also say that it's also the reason why I'm using them. They don't care about me or my family. I know that. But they'll be the perfect way for me to get them back in the end. Because I know that they'll be able to stop this man. Don't ask me why I think that because even I don't know. I just have a feeling. That's all."

Yoruichi sighed. "Sometimes you're too much an idiot, ya know that right?"

Isshin merely chuckled, not answering her.

Flashback: End!

Yoruichi sighed in the present again as the memory hit her. She knew that she would never be able to change the man's mind. Only one woman had that power, and she wasn't that woman.

"Well, well. What do we have here? A little lost kitty. How cute."

Yoruichi was quick to react, jumping below and landing in front of the door that she had been looking at before as someone landed where she had been seconds before. Looking in front of her, Yoruichi came face to face with the girl that Naruto had been fighting with on that day at the tower. A second later, a blonde woman in a suit landed beside her.

Yoruichi sighed as she changed into her normal form. "Looks like the gig is up. How did you know I was here, kid? I thought that I had masked my presence well enough."

Violet smirked, brushing off the fact that the woman had called her a kid. "You might have been able to escape the Nibi's senses, but not mine. I see everything, past, present, and future. You can't get by me."

Yoruichi grinned. "Then you should know that I'm not the only one who's been able to infiltrate the building. There are others, Naruto included."

Violet laughed hard, hunching forward as she did so. "Hahaha I already know what your game is, shinigami. You're trying to get me away from here, using Naruto as bait. I must say, you know me too well. Even I can't resist an offer as tempting as that."

"Even when you know what I'm trying to do?" asked Yoruichi with a suspicious tone laced in her voice.

Violet shrugged as she turned away from the dark skinned woman, walking away. "In the grand scheme of things, you are insignificant. Besides, Yugito here will be enough to handle someone like you. It was nice meeting you, shinigami. I doubt we will again."

And like that, the time wielding girl disappeared in an orange spark.

Yoruichi shook her head. 'Arrogant girl. Oh well. At least that went like it was planned. Now then….' She turned her eyes to Yugito who was still standing in the same spot like a rock.

"Looks like it's just you and me," Yoruichi commented with a grin, expecting some sort of reply from the blonde woman. Instead, all she got was silence. The female shinigami waved her hand. "Oi, cat got your tongue?"

This time, it wasn't just silence that she got. No, she also had the pleasure of dodging a very precise kick from the female jinchuriki.

'She's fast!' she thought as jump back, landing on a nearby staircase that led to a helipad. 'And I'm also guessing she's not the talking type…..'

Without saying a word, Yugito crouched down on all fours as a single blue flamed tail appeared behind her.

Yoruichi took a step back as she saw this. 'Is that her power?'

Silent and swift, Yugito lunged at her opponent.

Isshin looked down at the unconscious guard whom he had just knocked out. Currently he was in a nearby parking garage that was used by the UNO to store the many vehicles that the men and women who represented their respective countries arrived in. It was also here where he had managed to lure one of the guards so that he could steal his uniform and entrance pass. It was the best way for him to sneak in, after all.

It wasn't long before he was strolling in through the main entrance, no one paying him any heed. Which was exactly what he had been hoping for. Without any resistance, Isshin was able to sneak right through the lower levels, heading straight toward the room where the conference was being held. If he remembered correctly, it was somewhere in the middle levels. Well, he would let the signs guide him. It was simpler that way too. Or at least, that was how it was all supposed to go.

Coming to a halt, Isshin came face to face with a dark skinned man in a plain black suit. Instantly, the former shinigami captain knew that the man was one of the jinchuriki. Isshin had to t'ch slightly at that.

'And here I thought that I had done a good job at not being spotted….just how did he know that I was going to be here?'

But Isshin didn't have time to wonder about that as all of a sudden, the jinchuriki had eight swords come out of nowhere, holding them all throughout his body in a weird stance.

'He carried all of those with him?' wondered Isshin with a raised eyebrow. 'And what kind of stance is that? An eight sword style? I've never heard of that!'

But seeing that he didn't have any other choice to fight, Isshin readied himself as his own katana appeared in his hands, unsheathed and ready for battle.

'Well, Naruto did tell me to keep at least on of the jinchuriki at bay if I wasn't able to get to the conference room. I guess I'm fulfilling my part of the plan here. Let's just hope he and the others do the same.'

The two men stared at each other for a few more moments before they lunged at each other, ready to fight to the death.

"What did you say!"

The President of the United States had a look of pure of shock on his face as he stared at the man that was supposed to be his one ally in this room. Boy, was he in for a nasty surprise.

The Watcher repeated himself in a calm tone, "I have evidence that says that you really are behind the assassination, Mr. President. Pure hard evidence. Just like you wanted," he added as he glanced at the Russian President.

"I knew it!" screamed the King as he looked at the American President. "And here you were trying to trick all of us with your lies!"

The President of the United States was at a loss of words, still in too much shock to say anything. The others, however, interpreted this in a whole different way. They all started to murmur among themselves. The President could only stare at the Watcher.

The Russian President looked on in interest, asking, "So? What exactly is this evidence that you have?"

The Watcher cleared his throat, composing himself. Then he began his explanation. "As much of a friend as I am to you all, I still have the image of my company to keep and the countless employees that work under it to take care of. I will not be the one chairman to see its name tarnish. My predecessors have worked too hard for that. That is why I wasn't going to stick out my neck in something like this without having something to back it up. It's just like you said, in something this big without any hard evidence, there's no way you can trust it," he said as he looked at the Russian President. Then, he continued, "That is why I began my own investigation in secret, in hopes of finding something that would lead me to believe that the United States really was innocent in all of this. At least, that's what I hoped for. Instead, I found the exact opposite."

He was saying all of this as if he regretted ever finding out about this. In truth, it was the exact opposite. Oh well, it wasn't like the idiots needed to know that.

"What did you find?" asked the English Prime Minister.

Clearing his throat, the Watcher began to explain what he found, "First, I have my own agents. As big as my organization is, that much is required. The Watch has had to deal with a few hiccups in its long history that required the delicate work of detectives. It was unavoidable. However, it's also those same talents that have helped me uncover the lies that the American President is trying to feed us so that I may tell you this today: the Americans did do it. However, they weren't working alone. And it's thanks to that that has allowed us to find the truth in this plot."

"What do you mean?" the Russian President asked. "Who else is involved in this?"

"I'm sure you know of them," the Watcher answered. "They're our biggest competitors. It's none other than Uzumaki Inc."

Shock ran throughout the room.

"How can this be!" exclaimed the Japanese Prime Minister. "They're not-"

"They have, and I have the evidence to back it up," he interrupted. Reaching from within his blazer, he pulled out a small round disc. "In this disc is the conversations that my operatives have managed to find between the American President and the prestigious chairman of Uzumaki Inc."

"What are they-"

"Finalizing their plans of course that show what was supposed to happen, mainly the assassination of the King. And it was only the first step too. They meant to do the same with the other surrounding nations."

"To what end?"

"Control of course. More specifically, political control in the area. The Middle East has always been a large supplier of one of the most valuable products in this day and age: oil. They meant to seize control of the area and thus control the oil, mainly for themselves and sell it at an even higher price. Of course, you all wouldn't have had a choice but to comply. However, one thing didn't go as planned."

"Which is?"

The Watcher shrugged slightly. "It seems like the American President wasn't able to predict the greediness from his partner. So after they had killed the king, the agent that had been sent by the Chairman of Uzumaki Inc. turned on her partner. Yes, Mitarashi Anko was that agent. And in the middle of the commotion, the guards heard the struggle and rushed in. Seeing their most noble King dead, they only had one choice: kill the intruders who had done the crime. But of course, the two had been so busy fighting each other that they weren't able to take notice of the guards until it was too late. That, ladies and gentlemen, is what we have been able to deduce from our investigation."

The room went deadly quiet for a third time. Now this, this all made perfect sense! But still. Suspecting it and actually hearing it were two different things. The other world leaders still couldn't believe that the United States was responsible for something as cynical as this. It was beyond words. One man, however, had many words to say.

"I knew it! You BASTARD! YOU! I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!"

It wasn't long before UNO guards rushed into the room, trying to retrain the young Arabian King, among which were the rest of the jinchuriki.

'Quite a temper he has,' thought the Watcher in satisfaction. Seeing the President of the United States shocked beyond words at his sudden betrayal and everyone else believing that the United States was undoubtedly guilty, the Watcher knew that he had succeeded. His plan was finally reaching its climax. This was the first time in a long while that he had felt so giddy.

At least, that was how he felt before clapping ran throughout the room. The Watcher knew who was responsible the second he heard the first clap. Needless to say, it soured his mood in an instant.

"Well, well. It's true that those with power due tend to be stupid at the end. But to this level….you even surpass the idiots of leaders that I once knew."

Every single person in the room, save for the Watcher and the jinchuriki, turned their heads to the center of the room as a vortex appeared in an instant. The main speaker ducked out of the way as it was in the same spot that he had been standing in the whole time.

And out of the vortex came out none other than Naruto, Kushina, Fuka, and Ken who now had a new eye in his possession.

'This feels nostalgic,' thought Kushina as she thought back to the Kage Summit all those years ago. They had had more people with them too.

The Watcher slowly turned around, locking eyes with Naruto's own.

"Well, we meet again, Uzumaki Naruto. But you're quite late. And a fool as well. Do you-"

"No, I don't care," interrupted Naruto as he narrowed his eyes and placed the Seikatsugakari on his shoulders. "Thanks to you, I've realized that caring is too much of a hassle. At least, in certain situations and people."

Activating his rinnegan, he pointed his sword at the so called god.

"Now, it's time to end this. And the whole world is our audience!"

Well, I'm back again. Hopefully sooner than expected. Anyway, I don't have much to say except that hope you all enjoyed the latest chapter. I'll try and finish the rest as soon as possible too, but no promises.

Till next time!
