They've got a while to go, so get comfy! last chapter's bit with Severus was a last minute Iidea I just had to add. After all, Draco would never figure this out on his own, intelligent as he might be. Go check is out the contest on my profile and review, review, review! I've kept you waiting long enough, s o go on and get to reading!

Hermione giggled as she walked out of the Potions classroom. She was really getting Draco's knickers in a twist now. Granted, there would probably be consequences, but she didn't worry about it. He wasn't effecting her school work, so it was irreevant. But the defeated fear in his eyes before walking up to Snape was priceless! She would've given anything to see that face again- his face turning red, his eyes pleading... those big, silver-grey eyes...

Ugh. Stupid Malfoy. Getting her emotions all riled up and playing with her heart like that. The bastard would pay dearly for what he had done.

"Miss Granger!" She heard Madam Pomfrey calling for her, and she walked a little faster. No more helping in the hospital wing, she had promised herself, just focus on school work. Yeah, she was doing so well focusing on anything at the moment. Hermione sighed, turned around, and walked towards the dreaded hospital wing. "Ah, there you are, Miss Granger! McGonnagal would like you to go to her office immediately." Hermione nodded and ran out of the room, thanking McGonnagal for being the reason she was called for.

"Hermione, come sit down." Minerva McGonnagal ordered, her face grim. Hermione was no idiot, and obeyed the Professor. "Ginny Weasley has told me that she's worried about you. She wouldn't tell me, however, what the problem was." The headmaster- er, headmistress?- looked into Hermione's eyes. Don't answer, Hermione reminded herself, let her continue. " So, Miss Granger, what's going on?"

Hermione sighed. " I suppose it started when I found out Draco would be Head Boy. I didn't believe it, and he gave me a list of reasons why he was Head Boy. One of them, though it was completely ridiculous, was because he could make any girl melt and pretty much do whatever he said. I told him he didn't have that effect on everyone." Hermione proceedeed to tell the professor everything that had happened over the course of the past week. By the end she was in tears, her face in her hands. "I'll make him pay for putting me through all this! He'll get what's coming to him!" Hermione wailed. McGonnagal was shocked. But she would help her star pupil through this. McGonnagal hugged Hermione, giving her a shoulder to cry words that came from the professor next startled Hermione.

"You make that bastard pay for that. You show him how it works, and you put him in tears. Because he deserves it,"

Draco was flipping out. Snape was officially psycho. "I can't! That's my only leverage! If I give it back, what Can I Do to keep her?"

Snape, being impatient as he was, slapped the spoiled boy. "It needs to be returned. And you must apologize to Granger as well." Snape was already having second thoughts about helping the boy. He clearly wasn't going to be ready anytime soon. Glaring at the boy, he handed him a piece of parchment. "Write an apology." The potions master ordered.

Draco grumbled and began writing.

Dear Hermione,

I'm sorry for trying to blackmail you into being my... you know. I understand that was wrong, and I would understand if you never wanted to talk to me again. But I'm trying, Hermione. I'm new to this whole thing, and I don't know how to get a girl to like me. All I need is another chance. But whether or not I get it is up to you, so I beg you to : Just give me one chance, and I won 't screw it up.

Love,

Draco

Snape read the note and smiled. "Good. Now goive me the parchment." Draco handed it over and the professor ripped it up. "Go find Granger, give her the paper back, and apologize. Don't add in anything extra- just a simple apology will do." Draco ran out of the room, thinking hard. Where would the Gryfinndor princess be? He heard McGonnagal talking to some one.

"-And make sure you get a nice little slap in there somewhere." She was saying.

"Oh, don't worry, I will." hermione's voice said with venom. Oh shit, Draco thought, bad timing. Reaaallly bad timing. Hermione came around the corner looking angry. She saw draco, turned around and began to walk off. Draco ran after her.

"Hermione, wait!" He grabbed onto her arm. She tried to yank away from him, but his grip was firm. Finally, when she stopped struggling, Draco began to speak. "Look, Hermione, I just wanted to say-"

Draco was getting really tired of being slapped.
