Buttercup woke up that Saturday morning happy. She was off that day, which means that the girls can go and search for the boys. She smiled at the thought. After five years, she would finally see the love of her life. It felt weird for her to actually call someone that. If you asked her if she would say those words eight years ago, she would have laughed in your face.

Buttercup got off of her bed and stretched. She walked out her room and went to the bathroom. When she finished in there she followed her sisters to the kitchen. Bubbles was cooking up something as she hummed a tune under her breath. She flipped a pancake perfectly and it landed on the plate next to her. Buttercup took three pancakes and sat down next to Blossom, who was on her laptop. Buttercup tried to sneak a peek but Blossom shut her laptop before she could. This made her even more curious.

"These look great, Bubbles." She said as she began to put strawberries on it. Buttercup nodded in agreement as she began to smother hers in kiwis as Bubbles put blueberries on hers. The sisters ate their breakfast in a comfortable silence, but Buttercup's curiosity got the better of her as she looked at Blossom, who looked back at her with her red eyebrow raised.

"Hey Bloss, what were you doing on your laptop?" Buttercup asked, trying not to sound too eager.

"I was setting up my schedule for tutoring and I put it on the school website." Blossom said, smoothly. Buttercup furrowed her eyebrows, but shrugged it off as the truth. She missed the subtle glare that Bubbles gave to Blossom. Blossom shook her head, slightly. She pulled out her phone and texted her blonde sister.

I can't tell her yet.

And why not?

Because she will not be able to understand.

I hope you are doing the right thing, Blossom.

I am, I'm sure.

Bubbles shook her head and put the phone on the table. She put her dishes in the sink and began washing them, ignoring the displeasing stares she got from her eldest sister. Buttercup remained oblivious to the sudden tension between the eldest and the youngest. She just sipped her hot chocolate as she looked down her Chat Face notifications.

"Robin's baby kicked for the first time today." Buttercup announced as she liked the status.

"Tell her I said congratulations." Bubbles said, smiling fondly as she took Blossom's plate and washed it.

Blossom thought of something. "Buttercup, do you have Butch as a friend on that website?" She asked. Buttercup nodded as she clicked on his name.

"It says the account has been deactivated." She said, furrowing her eyebrows. Butch was a Chat Face fiend. And he was always playing that one game, what was it, Chocolate Crush Saga. Yeah that's it." Blossom cursed.

"Well I guess that gets rid of the easiest way to find the boys. I guess we'll just have to find them ourselves. It can't be that hard, I mean Townsville isn't that big."

"When did Townsville get so damn big?"

The sisters stood in the middle of Downtown Townsville absolutely lost. Blossom held a comically-sized map as Bubbles looked around to see if she recognised any of the street names. Buttercup stood away from them, aware of the attention they were causing. Buttercup stepped crossed the street, reading one of the signs.

"Rowdyruff Recordz?" She said to herself. She looked up and saw about three blocks away was a tall building that said in big letters RRR in three colors. Red, Blue and Green. The signature colors of the boys. Buttercup sighed as she looked to see her sisters still looking at that huge map of Townsville. She walked over to them reluctantly and patted their shoulders. Blossom and Bubbles looked at her and she pointed to the building. Blossom face palmed as Bubbles jumped up and down. With the combined efforts of the three of them, they were able to fold the map down to a pocket size.

The three walked together into the office, suddenly feeling self-conscious. Blossom kept stroking her hair, Bubbles kept straightening her clothes out, and Buttercup inspecting her nails. The three waited in the waiting room until the receptionist called them up.

"And who may you be?" She asked, suddenly not liking the three attractive girls in front of her.

"I'M Blossom and these are my sisters Bubbles and Buttercup. We would like to see the Jojo brothers." Blossom said politely to fire engine redhead in front of them. The secretary, Karin was her name, looked through her book of appointments. She pushed up her glasses to hide her smirk when she did not see their names in the books.

"Do you three have an appointment?" She asked, already knowing the answer. Blossom looked at her sisters in confusion.

"Erm, no. We weren't aware that we needed an appointment." She said. Karin could have laughed. These girls were so helpless.

"I'm sorry, no appointment, no show. That's the policy here at Rowdyruff Recordz." Karin smirked at the defeated look on the eldest's face. The middle child, however, looked deviant.

"Is there any time that they might be open today?" She asked annoyed. Karin glared at Buttercup. "No. All of their appointments are booked until next month. I can book you an appointment on the twenty-first of next month-" Buttercup cut her off.

"No, we need to see them now." Buttercup said as she was losing her patience along with Karin.

"I'm sorry, but that's not possible." Karin hissed back at her. Blossom pulled Buttercup's wrist gently.

"Come on Buttercup, its okay. We'll come back another time. We'll take that appointment on the twenty- first-" Buttercup then pulled a wild card.

"Tell them that I'm Miss BC. They'll know what I'm talking about." Bubbles and Blossom gaped at her. What happen to her hiatus? Bubbles pulled her away from the gaping receptionist.

"Buttercup, you don't have to do that. We can come back." She tried to reason, but Buttercup shook her head.

"No tell them. They'll come to see me-"

"Karin, we're ready for walk-ins now."

Buttercup's eyes widened in shock as her jaw dropped. Was that... Butch? He had grown taller, his shoulders broader and from what she could tell from under that dress shirt was that he also gained some muscle too. He had got rid of that cowlick and his hair lay on his head, slightly messy as usual and also slightly longer. His eyes were that shade of green that Buttercup had grown to love and he had that ever present sexy smirk on his lips. Bubbles and Blossom seemed to notice Buttercup frozen in shock and shoved her gently towards him.

"Butch?" She said, in a daze. Butch looked back at her as he studied her. I've seen her before. He thought.

Buttercup ran and hugged him, tears of happiness threatening to fall from her eyes. Butch stood there awkwardly as he looked at the girl, weirdly.

"I've missed you so much. Five years is way too long isn't it Butchie-Boy?" She murmured in his chest. Bubbles and Blossom noticed the confused look on his face and looked at each other in confusion. Buttercup noticed that he wasn't hugging her back and looked at him in confusion. "What's wrong?" she asked him.

Butch looked at her and shied away from her. He had to admit, he knew her from somewhere, but he didn't think they were that close. And what was this about five years?

"I'm sorry; I think you have the wrong person. I have no idea who you are." He said, truthfully. Buttercup looked at him questionably before breaking into a grin.

"Nice joke, Butch. But seriously did you miss me?" She said as she tried to kiss him on the cheek. Butch backed away, causing Buttercup to look at him, obviously hurt.

"Listen. I have never seen you in my life. Who the hell are you?" He demanded, glaring at her. Buttercup took a step back.

"Butch, it's me. Buttercup Utonium, your fiancée. Your guardian angel?" Buttercup said her voice cracking. Butch looked at her blankly and that was all Buttercup needed to see. He didn't remember her. He didn't remember them, what they had.

Butch racked through his thought, looking for a Buttercup Utonium, but came up with nothing. "I'm sorry, but I think you have the wrong person." He said, gently, wary of the girl already. Buttercup nodded, trying oh so hard not to break out the waterworks right then and there.

"Obviously." She murmured, turning her back to him and facing the door. Butch narrowed his eyes at her hair. It reminded him of something from his past. He just couldn't remember. Buttercup walked out the door slowly, her shoulders starting to tremble. Bubbles gasped as she recognised the motion. Was Buttercup crying for the first time in ten years? Before the blond could even register the thought, the trembling stop. She just kept walking, not looking back at Butch, or anyone else of the matter.

Bubbles and Blossom stared at Butch, who stared back at them. "What?" He asked, annoyed at the whole situation. Blossom snarled at him.

"How could you do that to my sister, as a matter of fact how could you do this to us?" She hissed at him, much to the other two's shock. Butch glared back her as Bubbles looked back at her, confused.

"Blossom, what are you talking about?" Bubbles asked, not understanding why Blossom was so upset all of a sudden, after being quiet this whole time. What she didn't know was that during that time, Blossom was looking around the room and her fuchsia eyes fell on a picture that she wished never existed. Bubbles' baby blue eyes glanced over to wear Blossom's eyes flickered for a moment and felt tears well up in her throat.

"You... you guys replaced us?" The desperation was lingering in her voice, hoping, praying that the picture wasn't true. Or was a fan-made picture. The look that Butch gave her sealed the deal. She backed away from him before scurrying out of the lobby, tears streaming down her face.

Blossom's snarl grew as her own tears began to make their grand appearance. She blinked them away. "I can't believe this. What happened to never forgetting us? Five years isn't long, Butch. But apparently it's too long for you and your brothers. I hope you're happy with your new girls. Have a nice life." Blossom stormed out of the lobby, wiping her eyes furiously, trying not to let the sobs loose.

Karin looked at her boss. "Butch, what just happened?" She asked, looking at him. Butch stayed glued to his spot.

"I think I just lost the only people who can help me remember."

Buttercup never did come home that night. She came home that afternoon, in the same clothes she was wearing before. She jetted to the house, only to find Blossom standing in front of her door, waiting for her.

"Where were you?" The redhead asked, immediately. Buttercup didn't answer, just shoved the girl out of the way. Blossom grabbed her wrist and pulled her away from the door leading to her room. The younger snarled and snatched her wrist away from the other.

"Don't fucking touch me, Blossom." She spat at the oldest. "Leave me alone!" Blossom wasn't backing down without a fight.

"I will if you tell me where you were! Talk to me Buttercup. You're not the only one who's going through this!" Blossom screamed back at her, her face flushing pink in anger. Buttercup shoved Blossom away.

"You don't understand Blossom! You never understand! It's always your way is best! Well my way of coping with things is better for me! Now leave me the fuck alone!"

"The whole world doesn't revolve around you, Buttercup! You're making us stress about you coming home at night now! Do you even think about how your actions affect us as a family?"

"I have enough to think about right now, Blossom! I made a couple of bad choices last night, so I don't need you nagging me!"

Blossom looked at her sister, appalled at what she just heard. "Buttercup, what did you do last night?" She asked in a much calmer voice. Buttercup sighed as she tried to collect her thoughts. When she did, she looked at her sister, her eyes watering from some reason. She couldn't figure out why.

"I did... drugs." She said, as Blossom caught her breath. She wanted to yell but she was determined to stay calm for her sister's sake.

"What did you do?" She asked gently again, carefully tiptoeing around Buttercup's infamous bad temper.

"I did crack and cocaine." Buttercup whispered. Blossom sucked in her breath.

"You know you can get addicted to that stuff. I don't want you to get hurt. I love you too much too much to lose you." For some reason Buttercup couldn't contain her emotions any longer after that as she busted out in tears. She crumbled to the floor as she put her hands over her face as tears poured through the cracks of her fingers like torrents. Blossom gaped at the sight of her sister finally breaking. She had always been the strong comforting her and Bubbles, and now here she is, on the floor, finally over the edge.

Blossom sat down on the floor, next to her sister. She cautiously wrapped her arm around the trembling brunette and guided her head to her chest. She was a little less than surprised when her sister didn't protest against her as she had hypothesized. Blossom ran a hand down Buttercup's hair as she cried, feeling a bit choked up herself. Hearing the sound of Buttercup's distressed sobs made her heart ache more than it had before. The redhead let a few tears slip before hers came down like waterfalls as well. She knew crying was making Buttercup feel even worse, judging by the way her sobs get even louder, but she had the right to be a little selfish.

Brick had broken her heart too. After storming out of the lobby, she had a run in with the leader of Rowdyruff Recordz, but his wasn't so pleasant.

Blossom stormed out the lobby, mumbling incoherent curses about Butch under her breath.

"Excuse me, but do you have an appointment?"

Blossom turned around to meet the red-eyed man of her dreams. She almost grinned when she saw him, basking in his glory, but didn't when she remembered what had happened. Blossom growled and slapped him across the face, leaving a red hand print. "I HATE YOU, BRICK JOJO!" she screamed at him, before turning around to walk away. But a hand grabbed her wrist and jerked her around, harshly. Glaring down at her was Brick, and he looked furious.

"Who the fuck, do you think you are?" he snarled menacingly, his red eyes peering into her own baby pink ones. Blossom returned the snarl with one of her own.

"You know damn well who I am, Brick, whether you choose to remember or not." she spat back at him, returning the glare. The two of them stood in the position for what seemed like hours, Brick searching Blossom's eyes for any sense of remembrance and Blossom staring him down as he did.

"I have no idea who you are or why you're here but I suggest you leave on your own before I make you leave myself." The tall male threatened, his grip tightening on her, turning the skin around it a pale white.

Blossom continued to glare at him. "I can't believe you." she finally said. Brick looked at her, genuinely confused. "What can't you believe?" he asked, curious. Blossom shook her head, bowing her head so he wouldn't be able to see the tears in her eyes that were threatening to fall.

"I can't believe you would forget about us like this! After all we've been through!" She finally said, after a pause. Brick looked at her, taken back by her exclamation.

"What?" He asked her, thinking that she was insane.

Blossom wasn't listening as she shook her head, trying to get her thoughts together.

"You forgot us, Brick Jojo! AND I'LL NEVER FORGIVE YOU!"

Brick was getting frustrated at the woman, she was attractive, yes. But she was so hardheaded. He growled at her.

"How can I remember you if I never met you?!"

Blossom gasped in shock. "Never... met...me?" she whispered. Brick stared down at her hard. There was something familiar about this woman but he couldn't put his finger on it, no matter how hard he tried to.

"No, I never met you." He confirmed looking at her. Blossom nodded. She snatched her hand out of his iron grip and raced out of the building, her red hair flowing like a cape behind her. She didn't even look back at Brick, who had a thoughtful look on his face.

Blossom shook her head as she held her sister closer, feeling almost as heartbroken as the youngest. "They promised. He promised me Blossom. He promised me and he didn't keep it." Buttercup finally said, looking at her sister with her red-rimmed eyes. Blossom nodded, knowing that Buttercup had trust issues. And once that person breaks that bond, she wants nothing to do with them.

"I know." She said back to her. Buttercup smiled bitterly as she looked down at the emerald rock on her finger. "They said that they would wait. They promised and they didn't keep it. Just like someone else I knew." Blossom could feel the hostile energy radiating from her. Blossom looked at her sharply.

"I thought that we agreed that we would never bring him up again Buttercup. He and Butch are two very different people. Do not compare them to one another." Blossom warned, eyeing her bitter sister.

"I didn't say any names. How do you know I was talking about him?" Buttercup asked her, her green eyes narrowing at the eldest girl. Blossom looked at her, as if she was in disbelief.

"Do you really expect me to think that it wasn't him, Buttercup? He was the only one who made you feel even close to what you feel right now. But I suggest we get off this topic before Bubbles gets home. She's even more touchy about the subject than you are. Now I advise you to shower and change clothes before she comes home to make dinner."

Buttercup glared at Blossom one last time before going off to her room. Blossom sat on the couch, rubbing her forehead in frustration. She hasn't talked about him in years. What made her think about him now? Blossom thought, conspicuously.

Blossom didn't get too deep in thought before Bubbles came in through the door with grocery for tonight's dinner. Blossom greeted her with a wave while Bubbles smiled brightly at her before heading into the kitchen to put the groceries away. Blossom stood up before going into the kitchen herself to help her sister out.

"Hello Blossom." Bubbles said cheerfully. Blossom nodded in acknowledgement.

"Hey Bubbles, Buttercup came home today about an hour ago." Blossom said to her. Bubbles cheered happily.

"Great! I'm making her favorite!" She said. Blossom nodded.

"We need to talk during dinner; I'm going to take a shower." Bubbles watched curiously as Blossom scurried to her room. What was so important?

Buttercup sat in the middle of her bed. She stared at her ring on her left hand. She didn't think it belonged it belonged there, but she couldn't bring herself to take it off. She looked over to her picture on her nightstand. There was a picture of her and Butch, she was on his back, smiling happily at the camera as she blushed. Butch winked at the camera but there was also a light blush on his cheeks as well. She picked up the picture and stared at it for a long time before a droplet of water landed on the glass, another one falling after,

Buttercup sighed as a song came to her mind.

"You were everything, everything that I wanted
we were meant to be, supposed to be but we lost it
and all of the memories, so close to me, just fade away
all this time you were pretending..."

Buttercup was crying waterfalls by this time as she choked up by this time. The glass on the frame was covered with tears as she continued to look at it with longing.

"So much for my happy ending." She whispered to herself as she brought the frame to her chest, hugging it as she cried quietly. She stayed like that until Bubbles came in.

"Buttercup, are you in here?" Her soft voice echoed through the abnormally silent room. Buttercup stopped crying immediately.

"Yeah, I'm here." Her voice was devoid of any emotion.

"Well dinner is ready. I made your favorite, spicy garlic shrimp and white rice."

"That's great; I'll be down in a minute."

Bubbles nodded and left to go back to the kitchen. Buttercup stood up and turned on her lights. She looked at herself in her mirror before deciding she looked half way decent. She walked into the kitchen and saw her sisters sitting there, Bubbles had a horrified look on her face as she looks at Buttercup. Buttercup raised an eyebrow at her.

"What?" She asked.

"Oh, Buttercup! Why did you do it? Why did you do drugs! It's not good for you!" Bubbles cried hugging her. Buttercup stared at Blossom who nodded.
"Why'd you tell her, Blossom?" She asked. Blossom stood up.

"We don't hide things from one another in this family." she said. Bubbles choked as she covered her mouth. Blossom was hiding something from Buttercup at this very moment. She had not right to be saying anything at this moment. When she accidentally voiced her opinion, Buttercup looked between her and Blossom and Bubbles, in shock.

"What aren't you guys telling me?" She asked, looking at Bubbles. Blossom stood in front of the youngest staring Buttercup down.

"We aren't hiding anything from you, Buttercup." She said forcefully. Her gaze wandered to the food. "Now let's just eat. We're all tired, so after this let's just go to bed." Nobody protested but it wasn't the usually happy dinner they have. It was quiet and you could cut the tension with a knife. When it was over, Blossom did the dishes and Bubbles scurried off to her room, with Buttercup on her tail. Bubbles went to close the door, but Buttercup stopped it with her foot. Bubbles gulped when Buttercup let herself in.

Buttercup faced her sister with a stoic face. "What is Blossom hiding from me?" she asked, not tiptoeing around the issue. Bubbles' breathing quickened as she faced her.

"Nothing." She squeaked out. How she hated lying.

Buttercup narrowed her eyes. "Really?" She pressed as Bubbles swallowed again. She could at least give her a hint, that's technically not telling.

"I can't tell you, but it's really suspicious." The blond said quickly as Buttercup stood up.

"What is it?" she asked as Bubbles shook her head.

"What's going on here?" Blossom stood in the doorway, her arms crossed under her chest. Buttercup sneered at her.

"Nothing." The brunette said, before sliding past the redhead to her room. Blossom slid her foot in the door.

"You shouldn't be snooping around." She said. Buttercup glared.

"I wouldn't have to if you just told me what you're hiding." She said as Blossom glared back at her.

"I'm not hiding. You're lucky I didn't tell Bubbles all that I figured out about last night." Buttercup paled visibly as Blossom continued. "I found out why you brought up him again. You were with him last night. That's where you got the stuff." Buttercup was at a loss of words.

"I-I-I ... Don't know what y-you're talking a-about Blossom." Buttercup sputtered out, lying through her teeth. Blossom snarled at her as she glared.

"Don't play dumb with me, Buttercup. Do us all a favor and don't talk to Ace again."
