The condition that Rose found the TARDIS in wasn't what she had expected at all. When Finn had informed her it was buried in the ground she hadn't worried about it too much, but seeing it now made her heart drop. A giant, perfectly circular hole was in the middle of the nice grassy field, about a hundred meters across at Rose's first glance. The car swerved to a stop and Rose jumped out, immediately running to the edge of the hole to look down. "I can't see!"
"It's very deep, as I said," Finn said, following her and grabbing her shoulders to pull her back from the ledge. "Our guess is it's about five hundred meters down. Though some new scans are coming in soon and we should get more accurate results... The hole itself is a perfect circle, exactly ninety-four point six meters across. A security camera was in this exact area, monitoring a small park, and we managed to see what happened. It's a little confusing, take a look for yourself."
Rose nodded and followed Finn as he started walking towards a tent one of the Torchwood officers had set up nearby. "Where is it?"
"Where's what?" Finn asked, raising an eyebrow.
"The park, you said the camera was monitoring a park?" She asked nonchalantly.
"Er... You were looking at it a minute ago," He made a vague gesture towards the hole and shooed away the subject, taking a laptop laying on the grass and flipping it open. "So here's the video... This happened about two days ago, but we didn't retrieve the camera footage until yesterday."
The picture was blurry but seeable. A little boy was sliding town a red slide and a little girl was next to him, both of them giggling as a woman sat on the bench nearby, mindlessly flipping through her iPhone. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a large box flew straight down from the sky and everything erupted into smoke and dust, leaving a large hole in the ground. "It's like the absolute perfect shipwreck... There's no way it just crashed, the entire park was demolished, fell straight down into the hole. The dirt that should've been in the hole just disappeared, it's as if the ship did it on purpose."
"And... Those kids on the playground?" Rose sniffed.
Finn shook his head and frowned, shutting the laptop and placing it back on the ground. "We analyzed the video, and there's a very high chance that could be the TARDIS. Going down there may be a bit hard..."
"I'll go," She said instantly, straightening herself up a little bit and puffing her chest out, a habit she had gotten from the Doctor.
He sighed, "I don't think that's a good idea..."
"Listen, if you lot get to the TARDIS, you'll just have to try and get it out of there, yeah? If I go I can probably fly it up here, won't have to use a crane or anything to get it out. And if I can't get to it then I'll just assess the situation and come back up. But um... In my suitcase..." Her voice trailed off as she glanced back at Finn's car.
"The attachment?" He finished her sentence and began walking towards the car, "I'll give it to someone to fly it to London to get it checked out. We'll get information out if it, don't you worry. But Rose, please at least take someone with you to go down there."
"I'll go," Violet's voice suddenly came from behind them, making Rose jump a little.
"Violet?" Rose and Finn said at the same time, staring at her blankly. "When did you get here?"
"I er..." Her eyes widened a little and she scratched the back of her neck. Rose realized this was the first time Violet hadn't been able to answer a question immediately. "Got a last minute flight to Scotland."
Before Rose could answer, her Egg buzzed loudly and she checked the message, seeing it was from Cameron. "I got a message from Cam," She said to Violet and Finn while opening it. "He says he and Julie may have found something in... God, he's in Austria!"
"Austria?" Finn scoffed, "What could possibly be in Austria? Tell him we'll be there later, there's a lot going on now."
"I'll go down in the hole with you, Rose," Violet repeated, stepping closer to them.
"You'd really be willing to do that?"
She nodded, and Finn smiled, "All right, we're settled then. When do you two want to go down?"
"Now," Rose said, a huge, bright grin on her face. "I can't believe I'm going to see the TARDIS again!"
"Doctorrrrrrr..." The Master groaned, stumbling down the streets of New York City as if drunk. "Where's that stupid attachment?..."
A black car pulled up to the curb and the window rolled down, causing the Master to give it an annoying glare. "Sir," the man inside the car said, who was wearing a black and white suit with a nice maroon tie, "please come with me. You're under arrest."
Two more men stepped out of the car with handcuffs in hand, walking towards the Master. "Are you Julie's friends? God, you Shadow Proclamation losers are annoying."
"Please verify that you are the Time-Lord known as the Master," the man inside the car said, ignoring the Master's mutters.
"Yeah, I am, killer of, oh, how many people again? I can't really remember, but Julie said something about me breaking a record."
"Step inside the car," the man with the handcuffs said, reaching for the Master's hands.
Koschei raised an eyebrow and scoffed, "You really think you can just arrest me? I'm a Time-Lord! Go away, stupid apes."
As he continued walking down the streets, one of the men casually pulled out a tiny tube with a dart inside, aiming it at the Master's neck perfectly and blowing. "Oi!" Koschei shrieked as the dart impaled itself into the bottom of his neck. He fell to the ground on his hands and knees and moaned, "You can't arrest me... I'm... I'm... Sleepy."
And with that, the Master collapsed to the sidewalk and the officers picked him up before throwing his body into the car and driving away, leaving nothing behind. "That was easier than I thought," one of the officers remarked. "Now let's get him back to our universe."
A/N: Sorry about the shorter chapter but I thought this was a good place to cut it off! I'm going to another summary at Chapter 20, just for the record. In the next chapter Rose and Violet begin their descent and the flowers continue, in an even stranger way!
