"Regeneration?..." Rose's eyes widened as she stumbled backwards, tripping onto the ground and crying. "Violet? Violet? What just happened to you?"

A woman looked up with red hair about the length of Rose's and bright, intelligent green eyes. Her skin was peach and nose tiny, with a large mouth and the same suit Violet had been wearing, though it didn't fit as well as it had before. The woman had a completely different voice than Violet as well, much higher pitched and friendlier sounding.

"Rose, I swear I can explain."

With those words, the new Violet collapsed to the ground in a heap, new eyes falling shut and new mouth open in a tiny little 'o'. Rose leaped over to her, touching her skin only to find it was still a little hot from the regeneration. "Regeneration sickness," Rose mumbled, recalling what had happened to the Doctor. She looked up the huge hole they were still in and saw a few lights way above, knowing it was the Torchwood operatives come to their rescue. Rose looked around, knowing they couldn't see the newly-regenerated Violet, and noticed that the boulder that had been blocking the TARDIS was now cracked in two.

The blue police box was in plain sight and, if Rose was careful, she could slip through it easily and make it within the doors. So she picked up Violet, thankful that she had gotten skinner and easier to carry rather than the opposite, and unlocked the desperate TARDIS by nudging her mentally, a trick she had learned to do a while back in the other universe. Seeing the inside of the TARDIS was a relief, since it looked the same as it had when she had last left it.

If she tried hard she could imagine that the Doctor was waiting around the corner of the hallway to leap out and yell, "Surprise!" before whisking her away once more to another world. However, there was no time for fantasies as Rose dragged Violet to the medical bay and rested her on the bed there. Rose ran back into the console room and debated how to get the ship into the vortex before remembering that if the ship didn't want to let the Torchwood operatives in, then they wouldn't be let in. She remembered her walkie and flicked it on, thankful to hear Finn's voice again.

"Rose? Rose, what the hell happened down there? The officers can't find you! Are you alive? Rose?!"

"Yeah, Finn, I'm here," she said, sprinting back down the hallway towards the medical room. "Me and Violet are in the TARDIS."

"Violet? Is she..." he didn't finish the sentence, his voice an octave higher than usual. "Are you unharmed?"

"Yes, I'm unharmed. Violet is alive, too, though something strange happened. I can't really tell you right now," Rose looked down at the red-headed woman lying before her, debating what to do. "Sorry Finn, I have to go. Tell the operatives to come back up, they're not going to get the ship open. I'll talk to you in a few minutes." Before he could reply she flipped the talkie off again, mentally scolding herself for being so rude to him.

She removed her orange suit and saw that she was wearing a pink and white striped shirt and black yoga pants. Rose rested her head on a pillow and tried to remember what she had done for the Doctor so long ago after his regeneration from his ninth self to his tenth. Feeling a bit awkward about the whole situation she walked to the TARDIS kitchen and made them both cups of tea, forgetting that it had been so long since she had last been in that room. Afterwards, Rose wandered down the hallway and looked for signs of where the Doctor was, figuring while she was here she had better make the most of it.

When she came across her room she noticed her own room was most definitely not in the state she had left it before. While the pink bedspread remained unmade and the drawers were still open, along with a few of her items laying on the ground, the things that were added to the scene terrified her. Little blood spots were all over the bed and especially on the wall next to it, and Rose even saw what looked like a handprint of blood on the ground. A tiny knife was laying on the ground, also covered in the red liquid. Rose sprinted to her bathroom instantly, vomiting into the toilet at the very sight.

However, that was her worst decision yet.

The bathroom was worse than the room, with water all over the floor as if someone had stepped out of the shower and into the room without even using a towel. The sink was dripping regularly and blood was splattered all over the white counter, along with the fact that all her perfumes had been emptied somewhere, along with her shampoos and conditioners. Rose vomited twice into the surprisingly clean toilet before wiping her mouth with the back of her hand and exiting her own room, slamming the door shut behind her. The logical part of her mind told her that if she examined a bit of the blood in the room she could identify it. However, Rose knew that was unnecessary.

The blood was the Doctor's.

Violet awoke with a banging headache, and the second she sat up she rubbed at her temples absent-mindedly and groaned. Rose's head peered around the doorway to the room and her pupils dilated a little as she entered, shutting the door behind her. "Violet?" Rose asked cautiously, staring at her like she was some sort of alien.

Oh, wait, she was.

"Yeah?" Violet replied, propping herself up on her elbows and smiling, wiggling her fingers a little bit. "How are you?"

"I'm fine..."

This is ridiculous, Rose thought, she's acting as if nothing even happened. "So... You regenerated, then," Rose raised an eyebrow, wanting her to explain.

"Yep, that I did. At least I look more my age now," the woman shrugged, running a hand through her short hair. "Oh, am I a red-head now?! Do you have a mirror?"

Rose opened her mouth to say something then thought better of it, passing Violet a mirror that had conveniently been sitting on the counter. "There you go."

"Ohhhh..." she admired her new form, striking ridiculous poses before looking up at Rose. "I'm rather pretty, aren't I?"

"Listen, Violet," Rose sat down on the side of the medical bed and closed her eyes, taking in a deep breath. "You regenerated."

"I've noticed."

"Humans don't regenerate."

Violet scoffed, "You think I don't know that?"

"So you're a Time Lord?" Rose folded her arms across her chest and her gaze flickered down to where her walkie talkie was still rapidly blinking over and over again.

"I believe Time Lady is the appropriate term. But, yeah, basically." She scratched the back of her neck with one hand and remained playing with her hair with the other. "Listen, Rose, remember that time when the Doctor said time was wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey?"

Rose shook her head in response.

"Oh, wait, he hasn't told you that yet, sorry. Well, either way, you know from your experiences with your dad that time is confusing, right? And... Oh, that girl in the fireplace! But anyways, time is really weird, so-"

"How do you know about that?" Rose demanded, "Who told you about that? How can you be a Time Lord..." Violet gave her a look and Rose corrected herself, "Lady, whatever! How can you... What the hell are you?"

Violet made a 'tsk tsk tsk' sound with her tongue clacking against the roof of her mouth. "Oh... Language, mother."

Rose froze.

She stood up from the medical bed and backed up until her back clanged against a shelf, making it's contents rattle. Violet remained completely calm, still toying with her new body while Rose had a panic attack. The red headed woman picked up the mirror again and poked her nose as if studying it. "Violet..." Rose whispered, surprised at how high her own voice had gotten. "What did you just say?"

"Oh no... Did I just? Ugh, wibbly-wobbly. Timey-wimey." Violet stood up, now with nervousness written all over her forehead. "I really should, uh, get going..."

Rose blocked the door with her arm as Violet tried to leave. "You're not leaving this room until you explain."

"Now you really sound like my mother," Violet rolled her eyes and sat back down.

A/N: Hello my lovely readers! :D So, I have an announcement to make, though if you read some of my other stories you may have already heard it, so if that's the case just ignore me. This Saturday, December 14th, I'll be starting my Christmas Special Doctor Who fic! I've already written it and now it's in the editing process, but I've spent tons of time on it and I'm so excited! It's in twelve parts and each part will be uploaded daily until the finale is posted on, well, Christmas! I'll be uploading it on this website and probably Archive Of Our Own and Teaspoon, not to mention my Tumblr where it may or may not be mentioned.
