Chapter 15 - Family

Soooo, here we are with another installment.

Just realised that this is another filler-ish chapter but interesting all the same. Who knows, there may even be plot in the next one.

Just so y'all know, I'm back to being a Once whore and watching the show again, though I haven't yet watched episode...4. The one that aired last night. Haven't watched that, so no spoilers ;)

Anyway, due to pretty much unanimous vote, I have started planning the coffin scene for y'all and it shall appear in a future chapter, though I make no promises as to when that will be or how soon.

UPDATES ON OTHER FICS!

Evil is Silent is still ongoing, as is this fic, but there are also...3 (I think, there may be more) other fics out there being written alongside these ones. One is Swan Queen (which I being relentlessly heckled by my Swan Queen shipper fan to write) which is set in an alternate universe of season...2, one is Regina/Blackbeard -set at the beginning of season 3B and the third is...I'm just gonna call it Regina OC right now because I'm a little embarrassed that I actually wrote it and it's set in season 4.

I think I'm gonna bail on the whole Outlaw Queen ship, totally not feeling it after Robin's performance in episode 3. What a dick.

YOU LEAVE MY GINA ALONE, YE SASSENACH PRICK!

*ahem*

Well, I think I've been schizophrenic enough today so off you all go, my adoring public. Read and review because tis my crack :D

Graham turned, to head back to his truck, and stilled.

Animals.

He was surrounded by animals.

Deer, foxes, squirrels, rabbits, yet more birds, even a mountain lion surrounded the clearing. They all watched him with a steady and unblinking stare.

"I'll fix it." Graham knew what they wanted. "I'll drive him away from here."

They didn't move, not even when he walked towards and through them. They turned, continuing to watch him and he half turned back to them.

"Eat," he told the crows, "that is our way."

Then he turned and walked away, the pups quiet and afraid in his arms. He heard the calling of the crows, the clapping of their wings as they descended on what had been a fierce and proud family.

It sounded like applause at a funeral.

Graham looked down at the pups and mustered something of a smile for them. They didn't understand the expression but they whimpered and seemed to understand what he meant anyway.

They were filthy. He was filthy. Covered in blood, gore, mud and a stink that could only have come from death.

He thought about how he couldn't abandon them. They'd have to come home with him.

Regina was going to kill him.
