Summary: Sasuke is grossed out by Naruto but nonetheless accepts the challenge. What could be the results?

Challenge Accepted

At the moment, Uchiha Sasuke was, for a lack of better words, grossed out.

The emotion of the intense disgust and revulsion he was experiencing, while not unfamiliar, was still a novelty. It wouldn't have been much of a surprise after his time as an apprentice to the most freaky man in the world if Sasuke had turned out entirely immune to this feeling. Nothing that other people couldn't stand fazed him any more, not slimy animals, insects or Naruto's ramen rampages. Until now, that is. It seemed that his idiot friend once again managed to achieve the impossible.

The sounds of wet smacking and loud slurping were revolting by themselves but coupled with the visual of what caused these disturbing noises, they made the stoic Uchiha want to retch into the nearest bucket available, only his deep-seated sense of decorum preventing him from doing just that. Sasuke kept his eyes averted from the blond and concentrated on blocking out the disgusting sounds. Inwardly, he cursed Kakashi for sending him to pass Naruto the message.

Finally, the noises stopped and Sasuke cautiously glanced over to see if the idiot was done sucking face with his girlfriend. He was, but unfortunately it didn't spare the Uchiha from witnessing another embarrassing public display of affection.

"Hinata-chan, are you alright?" Naruto felt the girl's forehead tenderly.

"Y-yes, I'm fine..." she squeaked, blushing profusely.

"Are you sure? Your face is all red."

"I-It's nothing, Naruto-kun..."

Sasuke rolled his eyes at the mushy sentimentality overflowing from these two, impatiently waiting as they said their goodbyes to each other. He shuddered with disgust at another sloppy kiss they shared before Naruto allowed his girlfriend to part from him.

The blond turned to his teammate with a goofy grin. "Man, Hinata-chan is the best!"

Sasuke grimaced. "As if I care."

Naruto peered at his face closely, studying Sasuke with narrowed eyes and making him uncomfortable under the strange scrutiny. What was the idiot even doing?

"I know!" the blond declared, hitting a fist into his palm. "You're jealous because you don't have a girlfriend!"

Sasuke glowered, annoyed by the incredibly stupid remark of his rival, but as always it had no effect on Naruto, who scratched the back of his head in thought. "You know, you should get one, teme. It would help you stop being such a teme all the time."

The Uchiha scoffed irritably. He didn't intend to waste energy on clingy girls attracted only to his looks and the famous surname.

"I don't need a girlfriend," he grunted in derision. "They're useless."

"Says the guy who never kissed a girl," Naruto pointed out, then grinned foxily. "Just admit that you're afraid, teme."

Sasuke bristled, the comment getting on his nerves, the need to wipe the stupid smirk from the idiot's face rising within as he shrugged, deceptively dismissive. "Whatever, dobe. Kakashi said the training's tomorrow at ten," Sasuke finally passed on the message he was originally sent to deliver and left, hands shoved deeply into his pockets.

"Haha, you know I'm right, Sasuke! You're too scared to kiss a girl, you scaredy cat!" Naruto hollered after him.

Sasuke gritted his teeth in irritation and picked up his pace.

No way the dobe was right. Absolutely no way.

What was so great about kissing anyway, Sasuke wondered, a frightening scowl on his face. The notion of two people licking each other's mouths sounded disgusting, not to mention just how unsanitary it had to be. How something so... so repugnant could be considered an expression of love, he had no idea.

Yet, Naruto's jeering remarks still bothered the Uchiha. By no means was he a coward and usually he would be the first to beat up anyone who even dared to suggest otherwise, however in this case a violent reaction wouldn't really help him prove the idiot wrong.

Sasuke's scowl deepened, thinking furiously on a solution. A challenge was a challenge and he would never back down from one, especially if it was issued by his longtime rival, no matter whether it had a sense or not. He knew Naruto would never give it a rest anyway and Sasuke wasn't prepared to be harassed by him about something so stupid every single day.

Coming to a decision, the proud Uchiha set off, determined to fulfill this ridiculous task as quickly and painlessly as possible.

Sakura was organizing the files and various other papers that had been piling up in her office for a while as she allowed her mind to wander. She couldn't get over Ino's teasing from a few days ago, when the blonde had good-naturedly made fun of Sakura's inexperience with boys and how she needed to start dating.

The medic pouted as she knelt down to reach inside the lower cabinet. She knew that her friend didn't mean anything by that, but it still soured her mood. Sakura pulled out the heavy stacks of old paperwork from the cabinet and laid them on the floor to be sorted later. So what if she didn't date, the medic thought with a huff. She was busy with work, she didn't have time for guys! Besides, none of them even caught her attention, so why would she bother?

Well, it wasn't entirely true, she admitted to herself, a subtle blush colouring her cheeks. There was one guy she was interested in... she always was... But, he didn't return her affection and it wasn't about to change any time soon in the foreseeable future. Sakura was slowly getting used to the thought that he would never notice her in a romantic light.

The door to her office opened so quietly she became aware of it only because of the draft in the air. Sakura whirled around, still crouching, her eyes widening as she realized just who visited her so unexpectedly.

"Sasuke-kun? Why are you here? Did something happen?" she asked, standing up quickly and nervously dusting off her knees.

Sasuke didn't reply right away, instead closing the door and locking it, then he turned to her, still silent as he regarded her with an unnerving, measuring look. Sakura shifted slightly closer to the window, unsettled by his strange behaviour and the lack of response to her questions, however he moved to cut her off from the only possible way of escape.

"Sakura," he said her name, commanding her attention to himself, the dark eyes captivating the medic as he strode towards her confidently. Unknowing of what to expect from him, she took a few steps back until she hit the wall. Sasuke didn't waste a moment in approaching her, stopping a bit too closer than she was used to from him.

"S-Sasuke-kun?" she asked uneasily, his strange proximity making her heartbeat quicken.

Sasuke placed his hands on her shoulders, his expression dead serious. "Don't move, I'm going to try something out," he warned, which in no way prepared her for what happened next.

He leaned in and kissed her.

Sakura was standing frozen in place as his lips touched hers lightly. Her breathing stopped in shock when he didn't pull away, instead choosing to press on and brush their mouths together more firmly. For a moment, he paused as if unsure of something, and she inhaled sharply, needing the air first before even starting to comprehend what was going on. Momentarily, he took advantage of her slightly open lips. He angled his head while holding her own in a better position, then proceeded to deepen the kiss.

Sakura gasped, astonished at the sensation of his slick appendage touching her own and tried to move away, but her efforts were futile as Sasuke's form pushed her into the wall, his strong hands keeping her immobile. He explored her mouth curiously, careful and gentle before breaking their connection for a short while. Sakura stared at him, helpless and ignorant of the situation, asking with her expressive green eyes for an explanation as she didn't trust her voice not to fail her.

Sasuke considered her, perusing the pretty, flushed features, the slightly feverish glint in her eyes and pink, incredibly soft lips. Struck by the overwhelming urge to feel them again, he leaned down to her and she didn't object, accepting him back with a reckless moan. He was more bold now, the kiss getting more passionate and heated when he pulled her closer by her slim waist, their bodies molding against each other. Sasuke couldn't get enough of her taste, her throaty moans, the desperate way she grabbed his neck and reciprocated the intimate caress...

The kiss ended too soon, both of them panting for breath when they parted, though Sasuke didn't step away, enjoying her warmth right against him.

"Sasuke-kun?" Sakura whispered, looking for an answer he wasn't yet ready to give. "What... what was that? Why did you...?"

Sasuke's vision finally cleared from the pleasurable mist and he realized what he's done. Suddenly mortified, he quickly released her from his hold, then backed away, giving them both more room and recreating the distance that he shouldn't have ever breached. His lips tingled.

No matter how good it felt, he shouldn't have...

"Sakura... it was... just an experiment," he said awkwardly.

Her mouth opened a bit in disbelief.

"You... This... How can you say that?" she demanded hotly, but he was already on retreat, fully intending to jump out the window and avoid talking about what has happened. He needed to think. He needed to take a hold of himself. If he stayed any second longer, he wasn't sure what he would do to her.

He had one knee on the windowsill when she stopped him.

"If you go now, I'll hate you forever, Sasuke-kun!" she threatened.

Sasuke turned to her mutely, his blank expression meant to discourage her from speaking.

Of course, she remained unaffected.

"Don't you ever tell me something like that," Sakura said in a serious tone and approached him briskly, determined to get her point across, "because it's a lie." She touched his cheek delicately. "You have more respect for me and for yourself than that. Please, be honest."

Sasuke's stoic facade melted, his eyes softening as he grasped her hand from his cheek and held it in his own. He wondered how she could know him so well, even after all these years apart. But Sakura provided no answer besides a heartfelt look.

He sighed, letting her hand go. "Sakura, I... don't know what it was that happened."

He looked at her again and was surprised by a small smile she sent him.

"Then maybe we can figure it out together?" she offered coyly, a light blush revealing her intentions even as they became clear when she embraced him.

This time, it was Sasuke who was helpless and hypnotized as Sakura leaned up to him, standing on her tiptoes. As if his motions were controlled by some external force, Sasuke compliantly moved forward to meet her lips.

There was no stopping this time.

"Teme is late!" Naruto couldn't believe it so of course he had to shout out the fact to the world even if no one was around to hear it. Sasuke's absence was baffling and could spell only something bad. Was the Uchiha struck by a deadly disease and bedridden? Maybe someone kidnapped him?

Nah. Who would want such a bastard?

Though unlikely, there was a possibility that Sasuke overslept. Naruto chuckled evilly, thinking of all the funny ways he could wake him up, then took off to the Uchiha's residence.

Stifling his laughter, Naruto scaled the wall of the house and hoisting himself on the windowsill, peered into the bedroom.

Where Sasuke was passionately making out in a bed with a woman. Who had pink hair.

Come to think of it, it was the exact same shade as Sakura's hair.

Naruto paled, his eyes bulging out when the two parted and he saw that the woman was, in fact, his precious female teammate. Then, when Sasuke moved atop her, adjusting his position, the sheet slipped down and the blond noticed that both of them were only in their underwear.

Naruto shrieked and clapped his hands over his eyes, in turn losing balance and falling off the building. He landed on the ground with a painful thud and started rolling around and rubbing at his eyes to get rid of the disgusting images he has witnessed.

However, no amount of bleach would ever help him unsee what was already seen. Maybe a brain transplant. Memory alteration? He should go to Ino and ask about that...

"Sasuke-kun, what was that?" Sakura gasped between the kisses, alarmed by the noises outside the window but too preoccupied to ponder what they were.

"Nothing important," he smirked and crushed his lips against hers.

A kiss never tasted so sweet.

AN: Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed some SasuSaku action :) I feel it's too cliched, but I wanted to write something fun after Awake. And I love to make Sasuke and Sakura kiss.

I'd like to give special thanks to my dear reviewers Terpsicore de Geminis and KARASU25 for their support and warm words.

I put an information in the first chapter but here it is again: there will be no graphic sexual content in these stories and if I ever decide to write some, I will warn about it or just put it into a separate story. So even in M-rated chapters there won't be any smut.

As always, I would be happy to hear your thoughts.
