Revenge and Faevenge

Arachne was hissing and making guttural noises at the three remaining Avengers. Stark was sure that it was supposed to be a language, but Jarvis couldn't interpret it. He said without any idea of the base language he couldn't make any headway in deciphering it.

Apparently Thor had no such trouble as when the spider woman seemed to wind down from her tirade, he said, "She demands that we leave. That we are interfering in fae business. Interfering in the Morrigan's business and that we will feel her wrath if we don't cease in becoming entangled in things we don't understand."

"Blah, blah, blah." Stark said sarcastically through the visor. Then he said thoughtfully looking at Thor with a slight tilt of the articulated neck of the Iron Man suit. "So how do you know what she's saying Point Break?"

"Odin's All-Speak." the demi-god replied casually.

Recognizing that Stark was getting ready for a major sidetrack, Clint asked, "Thor, you can understand her, does that mean you can talk to her too?"

"Yes, of course Shield brother Barton. What would you like me to tell the nefarious wench?" the Asgardian asked.

"This is a human establishment, run by humans, for humans. You're the one who doesn't have the right to be here." he told the blond warrior who then recited to Arachne.

The spider woman made a rather hideous sound which was probably supposed to be a laugh, then she said something to the Thunderer which had his face twisted into a mask of rage, disgust and other emotions that Clint didn't want to try to identify.

"She said, you talk as if humans have rights. They are food, food has no rights," then he continued. "Do your hamburgers or hot dogs have rights?"

Clint glanced around realizing that Arachne was providing a distraction. As they had been trying to reason with her, the spiders had been busy. A few had apparently been reinforcing the cocoon that Steve was trapped in. While others were reinforcing the webbing that was containing the Hulk and the humans in the seating area.

The rest of the spiders were trying to surround the remaining Avengers, preparing for battle. "Hey guys," said Stark, "I seriously think negotiations are over!"

"Agreed," Thor said with a slight smirk as he looked around at the spiders. They were smaller than their predecessors. Probably because he and his fellow Avengers had already killed off their larger brethren in previous battles. He looked at the others and said, "Let's finish this shall we."

Clint gave a single nod and shouted, "Hey Big Guy get the humans out, then help Cap. You hear me?" The roar that answered him made him grin evilly. Arachne gave a scream which probably indicated she understood enough English to know she was in trouble.

Beating her to the punch so to speak, Barton said, "Attack!"

Everyone in the room froze at the statement, even Kenzi looked stunned before she said a little hoarsely, "Would you mind repeating that?"

He looked a little dazed for a second before Vex responded, "I accepted their offer to be the Morrigan. She's not in the favor of the Council because she nearly exposed all fae to the human race, several times."

Bo still stunned, continued to look around the dungeon for something liquid to hopefully detach the Mesmer from the torture table. So his next statement nearly had her dropping the large carafe of wine she was considering. "If I survive or not I have already named my successor. Don't worry, Vixen it's not you," he added as he saw Kenzi start to raise a protest.

"My Dark Queen will be the leader of the dark fae in my stead." The group heard a clink, a slosh of liquid and a curse as they looked over to see Bo catch the carafe in both hands before staring back at them with a decided deer in the headlights look.

Lauren patted Vex's shoulder before saying, "I think you're definitely going to have to use the Cloud Serum made me do it excuse baby. Even if its not really an excuse…milk it."

The dark fae gazed up questioningly at the blond before looking back at the brunette very carefully carrying the wine back over towards them. Bo looked for all the world as if she would like to smash the container over the Mesmers head. Instead of carefully pouring it over his torso to loosen the congealed blood.

"I see your point doctor," he replied before saying to Bo quickly, "In my defense Bo, I did think I was about to die and knowing the Council was determined to replace Evony with another… I thought for everyone concerned including the dark fae, you would be the best choice to replace me."

Bo studied him for a moment and seeing his very candid expression, she believed him. It very obviously didn't make her any happier, but even Bo could see the reasoning behind the decision. Besides as far as they could tell Vex was going to survive the torture he had already been subjected to, so it was really a non-issue.

The succubus shook her head at her lover and deciding not to discuss what Vex had done and decided without their input replied instead, "This is the only liquid I can find down here and if its clean, we're gonna use it to get you loose but somehow I don't think even wine is gonna feel very good on all these wounds you have."

Turning to her former paramour Bo asked, "Dyson could you check this out. I figure your nose is sharp enough to figure out if this stuff is poisoned or drugged."

The wolf gave a single nod before heading over and taking a tentative sniff of the liquid and then a deeper inhale. "Seems to be just a good merlot," Dyson said and then glancing at the Mesmer with a wink, "Seems a shame to waste it, but if someone is about to be crowned a king, he should probably be sitting up for the occasion.

Vex gave the Shifter a pained smile before giving him the finger. Bo handed the container to Lauren before taking Vex's other hand. At Laurens curious look, Bo said, "Like I said, this is gonna hurt and like he said," as she held up the fae pairs joined hands, "I can handle the grip better."

Lauren nodded, unstoppering the carafe before she whispered to her lovers, "Ready?"

Vex gave a careful nod and Bo gazed into her eyes as she carefully began to pour the wine at the top of his torso. Instantly as the alcohol seeped into the wounds covering his body, the Mesmer hissed and gave a growl. His teeth clenched together against the scream clawing at his throat to get out.

Tears sparkled in both Bo and Laurens eyes as the blond continued to work her way carefully down the dark faes body with the wine. Quickly shaking her head and blinking her eyes she skipped the groin area. Opting instead to pour the liquid sparingly down each leg. When she was done with that, Lauren drew a deep breath and after a moment of letting her lovers catch their breath, she called out, "Vex?"

When the male fae looked up at her, she held up the wine and said in a shuddering breath, "Ready?" The Mesmer closed his eyes and drew in his own sobbing breath before taking a better grip on the succubus hand.

Then he called out, "Wolf?" The ginger haired male quickly stepped to the table and looked into the eyes of the dark fae. "Sorry I still don't remember your name." the Mesmer said apologetically.

"Dyson, Dyson Thornwood," he said amenably enough.

Vex seemed to mull that over for a bit before saying with a smile that looked more like a grimace, "I like Wolf better." he said and gave a short laugh that quickly devolved into a groan. Reaching up with his free hand he grabbed the collar of the Shifters jacket and pulled him closer before whispering fiercely, "Don't let me hurt them."

Dyson taking the dark faes hand carefully from his collar and holding it in his own, merely nodded at the Mesmer who then looked down in Lauren's direction, he muttered fiercely, "Ready love."

Quickly she poured the remainder of the alcohol over his groin area. With a scream that reverberated through the supposedly sound proofed room, Vex's back arched off of the table ripping the softened, congealed blood from the table. Despite the hold that Dyson and Bo had on his hands he sat up and with a yank freed his hand from Bo's grasp and before anyone knew what had happened he had his fingers wrapped around Lauren's throat.

The doctor didn't even flinch, reaching out she stroked his sweat and blood matted hair back from his face and said in a soothing tone, "It's alright baby. The worst is over for now." She let his breathing settle a bit before she laced her fingers around his wrist and asked, "Can you let me go now so I can check out the wounds on your back?"

Vex blinked to clear his gaze and looked down in horror at the fingers wrapped around her throat. She held the Mesmer's hand in place and said, "Vex, feel where your fingers are? You're holding my neck like you hold my hand. Gentler than you do Bo's, because you know I can't handle it as well." She stroked his wrist down to his hand and gently removed it while taking his hand in hers.

"Let's have you turn and dangle your feet off the side, just dangle Vex. No acrobatic dismounts just now if you please." she said affectionately. Dyson moved to support the dark fae while Bo took both of his hands in hers.

As the doctor moved around to look at his back, Vex quipped a little hoarsely, "But love you usually like my acrobatics." There were giggles from the two women near the table, a huff of laughter from the wolf and a very expressive eye roll from Kenzi.

The Elder merely replied, "TMI, Vexie, TMI."

"Kenzi could you rip up one of those curtains for me. I know they're probably not the most pristine things we could use but there's still too much blood for me to see clearly and we're out of wine." Lauren asked as she fished her cell phone out of her pocket and used the light from the device to see by.

Kenzi was reaching for the closest decorative swag, trying not to think about why someone would bother decorating their torture chamber when they heard several sets of footsteps making their way down the stairs. Yanking the chain off over her head, Kenzi activated her sword and was standing between her friends and the group of men and women coming into the Morrigan's play room.

The members of the dark fae council came into the torture chamber along with several guards, to find the Elder fully armed and armored ranged between them and Vex. On the floor was the former Morrigan, a pool of blood was forming around her on the floor.

Katarina the leader of the Dark Fae Council stepped forward and said, "Step aside, Elder, this is dark fae business."

"Dark fae have no say over Shifters any longer in case you missed the memo." Kenzi replied and pointed the Sword at her. The Sword then began to vibrate in her hand seeming ready to jump from her hand and finish the council member all on its own.

Every member of the council seemed to pale and fall back a step in fear. There were murmurs among them, really how stupid were they, hello Shifter as if she couldn't here them whispering. Something about "the Sword being of one mind with the wielder and how that only happened with the true ruler of Shifters.

Katarina actually showed a little more deference when she asked, "Did you attack the Morrigan, Elder?"

"No," replied Vex, "one of my mates did. To defend me from the Morrigan's…sexual advances." he shrugged with a slight wince. "What can I say, my lovelies are a jealous lot."

Bo caressed Vex's cheek and then went to where Kenzi had yanked the curtain from the rod it had been hanging from. Pulling a dagger from her boot she cut a few strips from it and carried them to where Lauren was trying to examine Vex's back.

The council completely ignored the human doctor from the light fae compound and focused on the succubus and the werewolf who were on either side of the Mesmer. Kenzi wondered if that was a rather deliberate move on Vex's part.

Honestly she wouldn't put it past the dark fae, and merely smirked at the council as they looked down at the Morrigan when she let out another pained groan and actually managed to turn over on her back. The first time she actually moved since Lauren had shot her.

Evony's eyes fluttered open and she gasped at the shocking pain. She realized she had actually been shot. Unlike any other time before she wasn't healing as fast as she should be and that the wounds were incredibly painful. Then she realized she wasn't alone, the council in its entirety were ranged around the bottom of the stairs that led into her fantasy play chamber.

She also heard the Mesmer and several others in the chamber behind her.

Evony tried to speak and found her throat clicking rater than working, probably due to blood loss. Swallowing dryly several times she finally was able to call out to the guards with the council, "Arrest them they have attacked me."

Katarina with a slight tilt of the head to Kenzi moved past her to confront the fae who was trying unsuccessfully to rise from the floor. The strawberry blond young looking council member sneered at Evony as the former Morrigan raised her hand to be helped up. Katarina said, "From what has been reported his mate was merely defending the new Morrigan from your unwanted attentions. A perfectly acceptable response to such an assault."

Showing confusion and too weak to keep her arm raised any longer, the dark fae replied as her arm fell back to the floor, "I am the Morrigan and I have no mate. What are you talking about?"

Looking over at Vex, the woman said deferentially, "May I have the honor of informing this creature of her new status?"

Vex merely nodded and waved a hand in her direction absently, "Please help yourself."

The titian haired dark fae smiled and looked back down at the brunette on the floor and said rather gleefully, "It is with great pleasure that I inform you, Evony Fluerette Marquise, that you are stripped of the title of the Morrigan."

It took a moment for the words to settle into the fallen dark fae's mind, "W-What? You can't do that!"

"We can if it is determined that your actions will bring direct harm to the dark fae as a people or that they have broken our most sacred law. Never expose the fae to the human world.. You my dear," she said in a saccharine sweet tone, "have done both over the past several months. Holding the King of Shifters against his will. Using fae and underfae to try and capture the new Elder, and exposing us to several humans at that time as well as attacking several fae to discover it. The death of the Shifter King. Now this attempt to acquire or reacquire the Regalia of he Shifters and once again potentially exposing us to the humans. As well as the attack on the Mesmer Vex has proven you are not only breaking the laws of the fae. The laws that have kept us safe and at peace with the light fae but safe from the humans, but it has also proven that you are unstable and unfit to lead the dark fae."

The council woman drew a deep breath, "You will forthwith be taken to a place of healing and after your wounds are cared for you will then be imprisoned until such time a trial can be held to determine the appropriate punishment for your actions." With a gesture of her hand two guards moved forward and lifted Evony from the floor to dangle between them.

Katarina lifted her chin with one finger and looking into her dazed eyes told Evony, "I only hope that you have not angered the gods and goddesses enough that they don't strike you dead while you sit in your cell." she continued with a cold smile, "Ah well, we shall see." With that final statement Evony was dragged from the torture chamber.
