Chapter 34
She didn't know how long she had been standing there. Minutes? Hour? She didn't care but still, it feels like eternity.
She won't cry. She won't shed a tear.
Because she's through with all of this. She's through with Sasuke hurting her over and over again.
But God it ?
Where are the tears? Hollow. Dry. She chuckled softly. If she were in her old self, she's probably wailing right now. Maybe even flailing and thrashing with the mushiness of a woman being broken hearted. But she's not. She had become strong for these expected moments. She didn't beg to him. Strength did this to her.
But why did she felt so empty?
"Sakura-san!"
Snapping out of her reverie she turned to the voice calling her. It was one of the Jounins stationed in the Western wall. Was it Koshima? Or Mashima? Whatever.
"What is it?" Hiding the hollowness she had felt, and the emotional devastation she had awhile ago, she straightened her back.
She looked at the man. He looked pale and battered and he was out of breath. "T-The Hokage, Naruto-sama is looking for you!"
Her face showed determination and the encounter with Sasuke earlier was shoved on the back of her mind. There are more important things to do than brooding over something personal. Nodding at the man, she led the way towards the tower.
As she approached the curve on that hallway on the third floor of the Hokage tower, there was that unexplainable throbbing on her chest. Why was she so edgy and anxious all of a sudden? What was this nibbling sensation in the pit of her stomach?
"Naruto! What do you want with me?!" she shouted as she opened the door. With a quick scan, she saw the people in the room. Shikamaru, Hinata, Sai and Yamato-taicho. What are they doing here when the village still needs to apprehend the infiltrators? But observing and listening a bit more on the surrounding, indeed, it seems more quite now. "This should be very important! I have to get to the hospital as soon as possible to check things over there! You know we have many casualties and the hospital is already short on hands,"
Naruto stood up immediately, rounded out his desk and went straight to the pinkette. He holds both of her shoulders.
"Sakura," he said, with that seriousness on his face.
The mednin paused for a while. She knows that expression too well. It means business, "W-What?"
"I know this is all of a sudden, but I want you to clear your mind and listen. Listen okay? No rush thinking…okay?" Naruto said, without batting an eye.
Sakura's brows knitted in suspicion, "What is it, speak!"
Naruto sighed, stared at her then as if he couldn't take it anymore, he looked on his side but gripped her shoulders more firmly, "R-Ryuna…"
It was only a whisper, but she heard it as clear as day. Just the mention of her daughter's name, her reflexes was automatic. She jerked and tried to shove Naruto's gripped of her, as she tries to turn around and run. It's that instinct of a mother that her daughter was in danger even before Naruto can finish the sentence.
"I said, listen!" Naruto hold her tighter than before, steadying her and never letting go.
The new Hokage knew that Sakura would dash out the moment he would mention her daughter's name. He knew she won't listen.
"Let go!" Sakura shouted glaring at Naruto. If only looks could kill.
"Sakura-chan, stop! We need to think of something, a plan, before we rush things-"
"What happened to my daughter?!" she shouted.
"Sakura, listen—"
"What the fuck happened to my daughter Naruto? Where is she?! Is she safe with the other children?! Is she with the sensei's?! TELL ME!"
"Calm down!" Naruto gripped her more tightly.
"Don't tell me to calm down! Damn it!" she shouted as she tried to claw Naruto's hands from her shoulders, "Let go!"
Her grasp was so strong, the Jinjuuriki felt the bones on his hands were crushing.
"NO!" Naruto shouted as he winced. Sakura was putting so much force on her gripped that he has to use an extra chakra just to hold her, it doesn't matter even if it feels like he was bruising her with that.
"S-Sakura-chan, c-calm down, please," Hinata said.
"Naruto, you can let go now," Shikamaru said.
Everyone paused as they noticed a black huge strip of shadow gripping both of Sakura's legs, wrapping it up to her waist and then arms. Naruto let go of Sakura as soon as he was sure that there's no way for Sakura to move, that's is temporarily. He stepped back slowly. They have to do this fast or the woman will surely destroy the whole Hokage Tower. The last thing he wants was to stay in a makeshift office made of tents.
"Shikamaru! Bastard!" Sakura gritted at the Nara genius.
"My bad, Sakura," Shikamaru said as both hands clamp together indicating the Kagemane no Jutsu is in effect. "But you need to listen first. We know how you feel. Don't make us do what we did to Naruto awhile ago,"
Sakura looked at the blond Jinjuuriki. Yamato stepped up. "Well, you see, we have to slap him, in order for him to calm down. Like you, he wanted to run and go to Ryu-chan,"
"That's not a slap Yamato-taicho. All of you beat me up," Naruto pouted.
Sakura was trembling. Maybe in frustration of not knowing what is happening to her daughter. One thing's for sure, her little girl's in danger. She was naïve to think these people around her were not worrying about her daughter, especially Naruto. She knew whatever would happen to Ryu-chan, Naruto will be the first people who'll react immediately.
"You can release me now Shikamaru. I won't go," Sakura softly said, still she was trembling. She had calmed down a bit.
Shikamaru was looking at her, assessing the truthfulness in her words. After a few silent seconds, the Nara genius sighed and retracted the shadow technique. Sakura stood in the middle of them all, not moving.
"Now, tell me. Where is my daughter," she said.
"Someone took her," Naruto said. "In the midst of the chaos around the village, that man took the advantage and kidnap Ryu-chan,"
"We still don't know what he wants, but according to Kurenai, the man was Dr. Daichi,"
"The school doctor?" Hinata said.
Shikamaru nodded, "And his last words were, 'The last Uchiha will die', then took off with Ryu-chan,"
Sakura bit her lower lip. Did that man know something? Did he know that Ryuna is an Uchiha? Is Sasuke somehow related to this? Kamisama, please….
"Naruto—"
"I know," Naruto nodded to her knowingly about her most secret. "I think he knew that Ryuna's an Uchiha and what he's after is really Sasuke. We're gonna get Ryu-chan back. And I'm gonna send that bastard to hell! I will personally kill that scum!" Naruto said as he gritted his teeth.
There are many things swirling on Sakura's mind. There are many questions. But there's only one she wants right now. To go and save her daughter. Then as if she remembered something, she suddenly looked at Shikamaru.
Of all the people in that room, Shikamaru is the only one that didn't know Ryuna's identity!
Oh shit. Naruto just blabbered something in front of Shikamaru!
"I—I—"
"No need to explain Sakura. I knew it even if you didn't tell. Your kid is a splitting image of that bastard," Shikamaru smirked.
Sakura slowly nodded in appreciation then looked at Naruto, "Now where is he? This doctor?"
"The last spot they were sighted was in the southwest. They were—"
A slight tremor suddenly hit them and wasn't from an earthquake. Everyone knew it's a blast coming from the direction Shimakaru had just mentioned.
"That bastard!" Naruto seethed.
Without saying anything, Sakura dashed out of the room and run as fast as she can.
"O-oi—" Shikamaru could only said, as Naruto and Sai, followed by Hinata then Yamato dashed out of the room as well, "Mendoukosei naa,"
The Nara genius could only scratch his head.

Four shadows leaping from tree to tree getting farther and farther from the edge of the village's wall. Behind them, four shinobi from Konoha are following.
Dai turned around to see them then he smirked. The Konoha shinobi went down to four after that blast. Three shurikens fly towards them but they have dodged it with ease.
He shifted the baggage, that is, Ryuna, on his shoulders then smirked once again. It would be just a matter of time before the Uchiha and the Hokage, as well as Ryuna's mother learnt what happened.
Heavens, he's already trembling with so much excitement! After all those years of looking at Sasuke in the shadows, after following him and learning things that had happened to him within these past years, it got him so frustrated not to be by his side. Not to be able to serve him like before. And after he learnt that Sasuke had a child, he tracked down the woman and the child that caused the Uchiha changed so much. He hated the woman, (he hadn't known her at first) whoever she may be. But, Sasuke had betrayed him, them. The ones who followed from the Grass Prison. The Uchiha had put them in Genjutsu after he told them that he was going to Konoha alone. But thanks to some luck, he was able to repel the illusion.
It should have made him so angry. It should have made him resent the Uchiha. But his mind told him that it is that woman's fault. Everything was that bitch fault! The Uchiha won't be like that if not for some influence from that bitch. He also thought that maybe his service was not satisfying for the Uchiha. He will do anything for him. He will kill anyone for him. Just being by his side is heaven enough. Just being stared down brought chills to his bones. It made him excited. It made him feel alive. He was sure though that his loyalty did not falter. That actually made him sad, but he could not despise Uchiha Sasuke. From afar, he had heard news of him, he always will. Of course, Sasuke is his God.
Yes, he was so obsessed with the Uchiha.
His obsession fails to describe the word itself. He was consumed by this unexplainable feeling. He wanted to possess Sasuke, he wanted to put him in the highest pedestal, in his own perverted world. He wants the last Uchiha to be his. Just for him…
…but he was too strong. He cannot grasp him yet he was fixated at the illumination he projects. He was so beautiful he even thinks the Uchiha should be put in a glass and be in display, which is ironic because he was the last of his kind.
So after he escaped, he had looked for that woman but found no clue whatsoever. He knew that woman who made Uchiha hesitated on his path was somewhere out there, he has to look for her and kill her. He was sure that the woman was pregnant and that it is Sasuke's child. He could tell from that night when Sasuke had his dreams. He was seething upon learning about it. After escaping the genjutsu, he went to sand and dug holes in which served his hideout. He recuperated, but his hate for the woman, and assumed child grew much deeper. He went from village to village, kidnapping and taking all those children, who he thinks looks like Sasuke. He examined them and when he found they're not blood related to the Uchiha, he will be so furious that he'll torture them to death, even doing horrible and unimaginable things to the children. But it got him nowhere. Until that incident a few months years ago. Luck might be on his side again when he saw the Konoha's Jinjuuriki and the Copy Ninja, taking camp in the forest. With precaution he had approached without them noticing him. He had overheard their conversation.
"Ryuna grew up to be so cute, but sadly she's looking more and more like Sasuke," Naruto said poutin . They had just visited Sakura in Tea delivering the message from Tsunade, ordering Sakura to go back to Konoha, "Her eyes is so much like Sakura-chan though which is a good thing!"
"Aa. I don't know if it's a good or bad thing though," Kakashi said.
"On what part? Ryuna looking so much like Teme or she had taken her mother's eyes?"
Kakashi did not answer but just looked in the sky. There are so many stars and no moon. "I'll take the first shift and stay on guard," he said, stood up and leap towards a tree. Naruto didn't bother to ask further but choose to sleep instead.
He had seen the light that moment. He had found what he's been looking for!
Then on, he gradually infiltrated Konoha while dodging the investigations about the missing children. He had to change his appearance. Then his plans went successfully when he was accepted as the academy's in-house doctor.
"So only three of you made it, huh?" Dai said as he looked to the men, one had a masked on his face, the other had a spiky hair, well built man with an expression like he was always enjoying everything, maniacally smiling. The last one was small, around 4 ft, but he was old. His distinct feature was his bucked teeth, he was his assistant in the lab. "Konoha is as strong as rumored. And to think only the footmen (regular shinobi soldiers) have been mobilized," He laughed. "The best indeed!"
"Aoi—"
"Fuck, bastard! Don't call me by that old name! I have shed that name five years ago!" Dai shouted, "I am now Daichi Furuhata, remember it!"
"Ahahaha," the one with a spiky hair laughed, "Sensei, your name sounds like that of an old pervert y'know,"
"Shut up Sen!" Dai-sensei said. Sen giggled.
"Ne Sensei?"
"Yes Maro-chan?" he looked at his assistant.
"No one's following us anymore?"
Dai looked behind them and indeed, no one is following them. He chuckled. The last pursuers had been killed.
"Good job Maro-chan. As of now, we have to hurry and get to the base. We will prepare a grand welcome for Uchiha-sama,"
The four of them sped-up towards their hideout.

As soon as she heard that loud sound, she run out of the Hokage tower and dash towards where the sound came from. She knew she was being followed by Naruto, Yamato, Sai and Hinata, but she ignored them. Beyond the village walls, she saw many injured Konoha shinobi lying on the ground. She also took a glimpse of Tsunade standing and looking towards the forest. When the on-guard ANBUs saw her running towards where Dai and his men went, Tsunade tried to yell at her but she just passed her. One ANBU tried to step on her way but the pinkette knocked him out.
"GET OUT OF MY WAY!" Sakura yelled. Her punch connected to the man's jaw, she sent him flying towards a tree.
"SAKURA!" Tsunade yelled.
"DON'T!" Sakura shouted without looking at her Shishou. She was vexing. She was giving a warning. When she slightly turned around, everyone saw she was activating her Byakugou. The diamond shape symbol appeared on her forehead
"S-Sakura-chan, let's make a plan first," Naruto said, "Please?"
"Stop it Naruto, it's no use. Listen up Sakura. Don't make rush decisions. You know that by going after them, there is a possibility that you could endanger your daughter's life—"
Tsunade stopped talking when she saw the mednin's state. Sakura was not with them. The woman standing in front of them was hollow, only moving because of instinct, of an urge, of a thousand aches and darkness…a mother's strong desire to save her child. Words won't be able to reach her at this moment. She's typically in a killing aura and Tsunade knew that she could kill anyone right now…anyone who'll try to stop her. At that moment, Sakura is dangerous and she's unstoppable.
There was no life on her vibrant jade eyes. What happened to you Sakura?
"I'm sorry, Shihou,"
Then she vanished in a cloud of smoke.
"SAKURA!"
Naruto activated his Sage Mode.
"Naruto!" Tsunade called her.
"Don't worry Baa-chan, I'll take care of her. Take charge while I'm out. Hinata-chan, Sai…see things in the village for me, okay? Jaa"
Naruto vanished in a cloud of smoke. Everyone in that area make out the direction they went because of the light traces of chakra Naruto left.
"Okay," Tsunade mumbled.
Out of nowhere, someone had speed up and passed them, as fast as the eye could see, as swift as the wind and headed towards where Sakura and Naruto went. No one saw it, but Tsunade, Sai, Yamato and Hinata saw him.
"Sasuke?" Yamato mumbled.
"Why the hell Sasuke followed them?" Tsunade said.

She sensed the familiar chakra emitted by Naruto. No matter what speed she has, he will definitely caught up with her. And even if she hides from him and told him not to follow her, that she can save her daughter alone, he won't listen. She knows how persistent Naruto is.
"Sakura! Slow-down, we need to be cautious. There might be traps ahead—"
"I don't care!" Sakura shouted to Naruto as she lifted herself towards a tree branch and pushed herself to speed up with chakra enhanced on her feet. She didn't care if there were traps around, nothing matters to her anymore.
"Sakura-chan—"
Naruto stopped talking as he felt that familiar cold and dark chakra coming out from Sasuke. It's been a long time since he felt that. It's Sasuke's menacing killing mode. Sakura also turned to look behind them as she felt that chakra.
And in a flash, Sasuke was behind them.
No…he was behind Sakura.
Both Naruto and Sakura were surprised when Sasuke grabbed Sakura's arm, making them both knocked out from the momentum of leaping. Ninja instinct kicked in from Sakura and Naruto…Sakura enhancing her arm with chakra, intending to punch Sasuke's face while Naruto grabbing Sasuke away from Sakura.
It's not even a second when that happened, but the three of them landed on the forest floor. They found themselves glaring at each other, Sakura ready to smash Sasuke's face, Sasuke trying to grab Sakura's arm and Naruto in between them.
Oh God no. Not now. Sakura's thought as her non expressive face react when she saw him, with widen eyes. It was not long ago when he clearly stated that he doesn't care about her. That he has nothing to do with her anymore.
She will not be affected.
She will not show him the crack in her heart.
She can still keep this up.
She won't be broken.
She's strong.
"What the hell was that Teme?!" Naruto shouted. "What are you doing, grabbing her like that? Do you know you're giving off that threatening aura?"
Sasuke did not even look at Naruto, he was looking at Sakura with those deep and dark hooded eyes. He was not even activating his Sharingan. But, the mednin was not shaken. She has no time for Sasuke. What does he want now? Had he ended everything awhile ago? Why was he here? He should be beside Karin and mourn for the lost of their child right now.
"I have no time for this," Sakura said as she gave him a quick glare and positioned herself to jump. Before she could do that though, Sasuke flashed near them just enough to grab her arm again holding her firmly so that she won't go anywhere, with Naruto squeezed between them. It was so fast Naruto didn't even see it coming. He had used his unparalled Body Flicker technique. His speed was indeed unmatched in this world, he thought. Well aside from Otousan's Hiraishin, he think no one can matched Sasuke's speed. With instinct of protecting Sakura, Naruto hold Sasuke's shoulder trying to put some distance between them.
"Teme—"
"We are going to talk," Sasuke said ignoring Naruto, not releasing Sakura's arm.
"Teme! Stop! We need to—"
"Stay out of this, Naruto," Sasuke said.
"What do you want?!" Sakura shouted, as she freed herself from his grasp. She didn't like the sensation she was feeling. Just the mere touch from him and she would forgive him for everything. Everything. That's how vulnerable she is now.
"Who is Ryuna's father?"
It was like being submerged in an ocean of cold water, her world suddenly stopped. The noises around them was muted, there were no chirping of the birds, no wind, no rustles from the leaves. It was a world of silence. All she could hear were her breathing and the thumping of her beating heart. It was a chilly feeling, she felt the sweat on her skin, and that sudden fear in her heart.
She felt she was trembling, evident with the slight shaking of her hand. She hides it by closing and curling it in a fist.
She didn't know that coming that question from him would incite so much fear in her heart.
Why the hell was he asking that thing out on a time like this?
Naruto also felt the uneasiness so in his own way, she knows he will try his best to cover up for her.
"T-Teme…why do you asked that thing now? We should be going to save her first…r-right? We can talk about that after we save Ryu-chan…so let's go?"
Sasuke looked at him instead, his eyes trying to probe unto him, "Do you know, Naruto?"
Naruto's shoulder stiffened and looked at Sakura who was looking at the ground. Of course I know bastard! But there's no way that I'll tell you that right now! "W-What are you saying? I don't—"
"You know," Sasuke cut him out, "You are always a terrible liar,"
Naruto shut his mouth.
Sakura has enough. Why does he bring this matter now? Why does he want to know? Why now?
I hate you. Isn't that what she told him awhile ago?
"What is this Sasuke?" Sakura said, still looking at the ground, "Why are you asking such irrelevant things out of nowhere? Those things don't concern you so why are you prying that now?"
Sasuke snorted, "Then why not just answer the question?"
Sakura stare angrily at him, "Ryuna's Daddy is dead! He died even before I gave birth to her! I met him in Tea, and we were so in love with each other. Satisfied now!?"
"What's his name?" Sasuke said.
"T-Teme, let's stop this, okay? We need to follow the guys who took Ryuna-chan. These things- this should come later!" Naruto said.
"Why?! Why is this so important to you?! Why do you care to know this?!" Sakura said shouting at him.
"Because I want to know the truth," he said, as he grabbed something in his haori and showed them the little green scroll. Then he threw it towards Sakura who caught it immediately.
It feels like the scroll is burning in her hands.
Sakura turned white as her eyes widen in panic upon recognizing the scroll Sasuke threw at her. She was focusing on it with trembling hands.
Oh my God! This is Ryuna's birth registration! Where did he— How did he-
Her throat was dry, her mind was in a muddle as her eyes shifted from the scroll to Sasuke's unreadable eyes. Just looking at him and realizing the situation made her shattered into pieces. She was so suddenly messed up inside…so many questions, so many emotions but one is most distinguish among them...
…he knows and there's that screaming fear in her heart.
He finally knows.
With trembling lips, she bit into them to hold any tears.
She won't fear him.
"Leave us Naruto," Sakura said.
She won't break in front of him.
"But Sakura-chan—"
"It's alright, I'll take care of this,"
Because she's strong.
"O-Okay. I won't be far," Naruto said as he turned around.
And she had prepared herself for this day.
"Naruto," Sasuke called out. Naruto turned to look at him, "I would like to know the reason why you didn't tell me. I even have this urge to kill you now,"
Sasuke was angry, he knew it. The blond jinjuuriki could feel it, that controlled madness and rage. He sincerely understands his feelings. He knew there were many questions he wants answers. If he were in his situation, he could blow up as well. Right now, everything he needs to know was in Sakura's hands.
"I choose not to tell you not because I was told to, Sasuke. It's because I don't have the right," The new Hokage told him, "Believe me, I wanted to tell you everything but I want that the two of you settle things on your own. Also, I have this urge to smash that smug face of yours since the beginning, because of what happened. But, we can settle it when this is over. Let's kill each other shall we? Now you two, hurry and fix this thing up so that we can rescue Ryu-chan as soon as possible,"
Naruto left them, thinking hopefully things will go in the right direction this time.

She didn't know why but it seems time is so slow this entire moment. It was unnerving so to say, standing there looking at the man who had learned that he was the father of her one and only daughter. It was like she was waiting to be hanged because of a crime of hiding the truth from him. The annoying thing about it is that he was still wearing that inexpressive, stoic face of his. He was just standing there, looking at her. Was he measuring what things to ask her now that he knew the truth all along? Was he surprised? What was he thinking right now?
It's really hard to get into that head of his, with the kind of emotionless face he has.
But she knew. He was boiling inside. She could feel the rage inside of him yet he was controlling himself with elegance. But it was opposite on his eyes. It was deep and an endless darkness, so cold.
Anger. Controlled anger.
But she's in a fury too. She can match that anger of his. Did he already forget what happened awhile ago?
She won't break.
"Karin told me—"
"I don't give a damn what that woman told you!" she shouted her eyes boring holes on the ground. She won't look at him. She didn't want to see his reactions, "I don't want to hear what she said. Not a single word. Why are you here? You should be beside her, you just lost your other child aren't you?" She didn't want to, but that mockery on her voice just came out. "You didn't have to go out of your way here Sasuke. I can save my daughter, alone,"
She is not going to break.
"The child is not mine, she told me,"
"Ah, okay," she shrugged and snorted, a mockery smile on her mouth. She knew that somehow, Karin being pregnant was just one of her ploy to get Sasuke. "At least in the end, she still has the conscience,"
"What is the meaning of this, Sakura?" He started after a while. She looked at him when she caught that the confused tone on his voice. It was just a glimpse, but she saw a slight confusion on his eyes. It was also gone quickly. He didn't particularly specify anything, but she got what he meant.
"It's just as you found out, Sasuke. What was indicated in the registry is the truth. Ryuna is an Uchiha," she won't tell him 'your daughter'. There was still that possibility that he'll deny everything.
Men are like that right?
She saw the muscle on his jaw flinched and he was gripping the katana tightly.
"When are you going to tell me?" His words came out in between his teeth. He was really controlling himself. His eyes were hooded, hiding behind his bangs
She can do this. Though fear is eating her up, she can take this because she has been ready for this moment. She had been prepared for this for five years.
She will not break.
"When are you going to tell me Sakura?" he said, grabbing her arm as she didn't answer him.
"Let go!" she shouted at him, trying to free her arms from his grip, struggling as she did so. Sasuke's hold of her was iron-grip.
"When are you planning to tell me that we have a daughter?!" he said as he forced her to face im.
"NEVER!" she shouted at him. Her heart was beating so fast, she thinks it stopped the moment she heard those words. We have a daughter. "I will NEVER tell you!"
Sasuke paused, his hold on her loosened a bit, as somehow, he looks like he was trying to process what she had just said. When he had realized something though, he grabbed her again.
She will never tell him.
...then he will never know that he has a daughter.
They were so close, his nose almost touching hers.
"Never? NEVER?!"
Sasuke really had changed. The way he can control his anger in that way and in this far, gritting his teeth, he should be rewarded. But Sakura cannot find a way to amuse herself right now. The man was on his limit.
"YES! I don't have any plans to tell you that she's an Uchiha! What happened between us that night, five years ago, I know that it was my mistake Sasuke! I know you don't want it to happen. I lead you to that but I know, we both enjoy the fuck. But I accepted the consequence of that night! Now let go of me before I break that face of yours!"
"Why?"
"What do you mean—"
"WHY?!" he grabbed her again, intense eyes on her.
She will not break.
"Let me go!"
"Tell me why?!" he gritted as he pushed her towards himself wanting the answers from her.
"Because I know you don't want a child from me!" She shouted.
Kami, she can't take this anymore. She's at her limit too. She can't control the tears anymore. Her throat was hurting, her chest, her heart…everything was hurting.
Sasuke slowly let go of her, but tears won't stop anymore. He made a single step behind.
"Because I know you don't want me!" she continued.
Dear Kami, she will pour her deepest thoughts to this man. She will bare all of herself to him.
"Because I know, if you knew, you won't accept the child because she comes from me! Because I was afraid that there's also the possibility that you'll separate her from me! Because I know, you don't care!"
She looked at him with almost that pleading tone in her voice, "Because I know…that you don't love me!"
She tried to step towards him, to reach him, but he made another step behind. She cried.
"…because after all this time, I know I don't have a place in your heart. I have accepted that already. I tried to make myself believe that I accepted that fact. I have died many times, Sasuke but when Ryuna came, she became my life, she's my reason to live and go on. I'm afraid that you'll take her away from me. I'm so afraid…that you'll take away my life,"
The last part was almost a whisper but she knew he could hear all of it. Her feelings poured out like a dam…unstoppable. She was bare to him now, all of her emotions. Fear, anxiety, pain, and worry was evident on her eyes as tears keep rolling on her cheeks.
On that moment, Sakura breaks.
She will always love Sasuke.
She love him now and forever.
Sasuke made one step back again and just looked at her. She had noticed, he had activated his sharingan….and it's in EMS.
There are a lot of things, of reasons why she choose not to tell him that Ryuna is his daughter. But to sum it up, she was just really afraid of losing her child.
Sasuke was silent for a moment.
"We will talk after I save our daughter, Sakura. A serious talk,"
At that, Sasuke vanished in front of her. Her knees tremble and finally gave in, as she fell on the ground. Her mind was in a muddled state, but those words registered clearly on her mind again…
…our daughter.
Somehow, it brought that unexplainable happiness in her troubled heart.
