Chapter Eight:

Katya Spirit

The door opened, followed by muffled screams. Our kidnapper walked in, dragging someone with light green skin, long black hair and white eyes. He threw her in the cell next to Killan and walked back out.

She sat up and tore the bandanna off her mouth and asked, "Where am I?"

Cyrus answered, "We don't know, love."

"Who are you?" I asked.

"Stella Screams, the Banshee. Is there any way out of here?"

"I'm afraid not."

"Lovely."

We landed in Salem, Oregon at about one A.M. Dracula met us there. He took us to a small cottage with two bedrooms and informed us that was where we were staying. Operetta and I set our stuff in the room with two beds and passed out.

Later...

Pancakes. The smell of them woke me up and I had a vague memory return to me. Mom made pancakes every Sunday morning and I always ate them with peanut butter.

"Willow! Breakfast is ready!"

I shot straight up and looked around me. I was in the cottage in Salem. I have no idea where that voice came from. I slipped out of bed and into the bathroom. This house seemed familiar, yet I've never been in Salem before.

Have I?

I got out of bed and thought about what Mother Earth had told me.

She's coming home.

Would Willow recognize me when she saw me? I hope she did. How come she's just now coming home? I had so many questions for her.

I peered out the window at the cottage next door. I could see someone moving about. I kept looking, hoping to catch the person's face. All I could catch was a head of white hair.

Could it be?

Piotr Romanov

Our plane landed on a small landing strip in Salem, Oregon. I was excited to see this "monster community." Maybe we could move here to avoid being discovered. I decided to ask my sisters about it later. I got our luggage out from the back room and Anastasia, Alexandra and Anya used their magic to carry theirs. I carried mine with my own magic. When I finally reached the door, the werewolf couple was there, as Dracula said.

"Hello. I'm Clawrk Wolf and this is my wife, Harriett." Clawrk introduced, offering his hand to me.

I shook his hand and stated, "I'm Piotr Romanov and these are my sisters Anastasia, Alexandra and Anya."

"It's nice to meet you. Now let's get you to your rental home."

I nodded and we followed Clawrk and Harriett into their minivan.

I kept walking around the house and looking in each room, unable to shake the feeling of familiarity of the house. With each room I walked in, the feeling got stronger. I eventually made it into the kitchen where Erik was making pancakes.

"Violet? Is everything alright? You're pacing like a caged lion." Erik said to me.

"This house... it seems so familiar... but I don't know why."

"Well there's a reason why Dracula is having us stay here."

"Really? Why?"

"Vi, I think you better sit down for this."

Piotr Romanov

We turned into a driveway of a larger home.

Clawrk said, "This home has four bedrooms and Dracula lives next door, although he sleeps during the day. His daughter, Draculaura, sleeps at night so I'm sure you will see her more than Dracula."

"Okay. Thank you for your help."

"Not a problem."

My sisters were anxious to see the inside of the house, as was I. We lived in a palace our entire lives and weren't used to anything smaller. The triplets, however, forgotten their luggage, so I used my magic to carry everything in. When I walked in, I floated our luggage to the side and began walking around it was a cozy home. Not too big, but just the right size for the four of us.

"It's so..." Anya started.

"Charming." Anastasia finished.

"Yes, charming." Alexandra said.

"Maybe we could move here?" I questioned.

"Oh could we? That would be wonderful. We don't need to live in the palace anymore, especially since we no longer rule Russia." Alexandra replied.

"Yes. We will discuss it later. After we have all of this sorted out. Okay?"

"Deal." the triplets said in unison.

Katya Spirit

I sat against the far wall of my cell, looking at Killan and trying to figure out how I could escape and free us all.

"So who's the ghost guy? You've been staring at him for quite some time." Stella asked.

"He's my husband, Killan Spirit."

"Wait. Spirit? Is he related to Johnny Spirit?"

I chuckled and said, "yes, but he is a better person than his younger brother."

"Really?"

I nodded and added, "Killan is sweet and caring without a single mean bone in his body where as Johnny is a rebel without a care in the world. They are polar opposites, really."

"I never knew Johnny had a brother."

"No one typically does."
