Hey guys back again with a new chapter. Enjoy.

Chapter 26: Monday, Kusaka Sojiro

"Finally, it's about time they gave discounts for those meats. Even though their princes, they're quite carnivorous." I silently commented to myself. Before I knew it, I felt something leave my arm. I looked up and saw a man running away, with my purse! "Hey! Come back! Thief!" I screamed and ran after him. But I couldn't keep up with the heavy bags of meat I was carrying. Then suddenly…

SLAM! The thief was stopped by a boy who slammed his hand on the guy's face. The thief then feel to the ground with a loud thud.

"You know, stealing from a pretty girl is unforgivable. You should hand the purse over before you get even more hurt." The boy calmly said. Wait! Did he just call me pretty? The man then launched his fist at the boy, but his fast reflexes caught the fist and overturn the man to the ground. I was stunned by his strength, then I heard exclaims from the other side. Policemen! In a few minutes, the thief was handed over and brought to the police station.

"Here you go." The boy handed me back my purse. He had long black hair tied into a bun at the back with bangs hanging over the right, violet eyes, wore a black shirt under a denim vest, torn jeans and black and red sneakers.

"Thank you so much!" I bowed in thanks.

"It's alright, no need for formalities. I have to say, the police are quite dependable nowadays. I just called them a few minutes ago and they arrived in a second." He commented.

"Wait. You called them?" I asked.

"I saw the thief first and thought it was weird for a man to be carrying a purse. Then I saw you chasing after him and knew he stole it from you. So I called the police then ran after you guys." He explained.

"Thank you so much for all your help!" I bowed again.

"So, what are you gonna give me?" Huh? I looked up at him, confused. "Since I helped you, you should give me something in return right?"

"Yes, but I'm not sure what to give." I answered.

"Hm, you could give me your name." he smirked and I looked at him, confused again. "Come on, it's a simple thing." He urged.

"Haruno Kurara." I responded.

"Kurara. What sweet name. I'm Kusaka Sojiro. Let's meet each other another time. Ciao!" he stroked my cheek and then left with those words. GAH! Don't tell me I got saved by a player?! Oh well, at least I got my purse back. I should get back soon, before one of them decides to cook without me. I then walked back home, thinking that would be the last I would see of that boy. Boy was I wrong.

The next day, at school:

"Oh Kurara, you poor thing. Robbed for the first time! It must have been scary." Rangiku said as we and Ichigo walked to the school gates.

"You could have called us. We would have come straight for you." Ichigo said.

"First, my phone was inside my purse. Second, the house was at least ten minutes away from where I was. And third, it was a robbery! I was panicking so I had no time to think!" I complained.

"Haruno." I turned around and saw Urahara sensei walking up to us. "Could you come with me for a moment? The principle wants to speak to you." We all flinched when we heard the last sentence. "Don't worry, no punishment awaits you." He assured. I nodded and headed with Urahara sensei to the office.

"Ah Haruno. So nice to see you. How are things here?" Principle Yamamoto asked once we stepped into the room.

"It's going fine. But what is it that you wanted to speak to me about?" I asked.

"We have a new student attending the school and I would like you help him around." He explained. "I think he's already getting into class right about now."

"Ok." I agreed and then he started to explain what I had to do.

In Class A, No one's POV:

"What do you think she got asked for?" Rukia asked once Rangiku filled her in on what just happened. Ichigo and Hitsugaya were with them as well.

"Don't worry. Kurara is such a sweet girl. He's probably telling her what award she got." Rangiku assured.

"So there's a Kurara here? Must be my lucky day." Everyone flinched at the comment, but Hitsugaya practically froze at the familiar voice. They turned to the voice and saw an unfamiliar student, to Hitsugaya, the face was just too familiar.

"Kusaka?!" he muttered, shocked.

"Toshiro, so nice to see you again." The boy approached them with a grin. He was about to pat his head, but Hitsugaya flicked it away. "Oh, still cold-tempered as ever I see." Hitsugaya just clicked his tongue at him.

"What are you doing here Kusaka?" Hitsugaya growled.

"Can't you tell? I'm a new student here." Kusaka gleefully replied, showing off his uniform.

"But, no one told us about it." Rukia said.

"That's because I just transferred here yesterday." He explained. They just met him, but the four of them could already feel a strange aura around him. Then the door opened. It was Kurara.

Kurara's POV:

"Kurara! So, what was the problem?" Rangiku and Rukia went up to me and asked.

"No problem. Just some new student is coming here. Principle Yamamoto wants me to guide him around the school." Time seemed to stop when they heard that. "Hm? What's the…"

"Kurara, you can't! You can't take him around! Don't ask why! Just get someone else to do it!" Rangiku cried out, grabbing my shoulders and shaking me around.

"Waaah?! What do you mean?! What's so bad about him?!" I cried out.

"Well well, it is you Kurara." I was stunned for a while and looked at the person.

"Ah! You're…Kusaka!" I said. Everyone looked at the two of us for a while.

"EEEEHHHH!"

"Kurara. You know this guy?" Rukia asked.

"Yeah. He's the one who saved me." I answered.

"Saved you?" Ichigo repeated.

"Well, technically he helped me. He's the one who got my purse back the other day." I explained.

"And you know each other's names because…" Hitsugaya grumbled, waiting for the answer.

"He asked me for a favor and in the end it was to know my name." I answered.

"Oh Kurara! You were saved by a pervert! Of all people!" Rangiku hugged me dramatically, almost choking me.

"Kusaka…You're still as obnoxious as ever." Hitsugaya muttered in a dark tone.

"Whatever. But I must say…" Then he started walking to me. "Two ponytails sure suits you." He flirted as he touched my hair. I turned a bit pink as he touched my hair. I could feel a cool feeling when he did that. It seemed familiar. Then I heard him chuckle. "Oh Kurara! You must be the cutest girl I've ever seen!" He suddenly lifted me up and carried me like a princess. I practically turned red as he did, while the others looked appalled.

"Kusaka! You idiot! Put her down!" Hitsugaya exclaimed.

"Now now, Toshiro. At these sort of times you should learn how to cool down." Kusaka commented, putting me down.

"Anyway, you should be in class now Kusaka. Class's about to start." I said.

"Alright, can you show me to Class S please?" I could see Hitsugaya frozen on the spot when he heard that.

"Urgh, this couldn't get any more worse." He grumbled, rubbing the temples on his face.

"I think Hitsugaya can do that. After all, he is in the same class as you." I said.

"Wonderful. Bonding time with Toshiro. But promise you'll spend time with me later, ok?" he asked as he got nearer to my face. Then he suddenly stopped.

"Come on Kusaka. Stop wasting time." Hitsugaya snarled as he grabbed Kusaka's head to stop him from getting any closer to me, then dragging him out of the class. I sighed in relief.

"You sure you want to handle this? I mean even Toshiro couldn't handle that guy."Ichigo came up to me and asked.

"It's fine. I mean, it'll only be for a few days." I said.

"I doubt that for some reason." Ichigo sighed. Ichigo was right. I mean he may not be in the same class but he is in the same school, and he seems to be the type to grab on to the things he likes.

With Hitsugaya and Kusaka:

"So tell me. Why are you here?" Hitsugaya asked in a dark tone.

"Oh Toshiro, always thinking something bad when it comes to me." Kusaka replied.

"Practically nothing good comes out from you." Hitsugaya shot back.

"If you must know, Ukitake made me come here. To, learn a little more about life." Kusaka answered before walking ahead. Frankly, Hitsugaya didn't buy it. If Ukitake wanted to do this, he would have discussed it with him. Whatever it was, he could not let Kurara near him.

Lunch Break:

"Kurara, what are you doing here?" I met Kasandora on my way to Class S.

"I'm in charge of a new student here, so I'm bringing him on a school tour now." I answered. I didn't have to ask why she was going over there, probably to see Ishida.

"Really? But why you when he's from another class?" she asked again as we walked down the hall.

"Dunno. Principal Yamamoto just asked me to do the job." I replied as I opened the door. I really wished I didn't.

"Kurara-chan!" Kusaka came out from the door and hugged me like he hasn't seen me in ages.

"K…Kusaka! Let me go! I can't breathe!" I cried out while Kasandora just stared at us with a dazed look. Suddenly…

"KUSAKA!" Slam! Hitsugaya knocked his fist on to Kusaka's head, making him fall and let me go. "For once, stop being a bastard." Hitsugaya growled.

"I wasn't. It was a basic greeting from America." Kusaka calmly answered as he rose to his feet, rubbing the back of his head.

"Well as you can see this is Japan, Asia! Totally off from America." Hitsugaya retorted annoyingly. America?

Hitsugaya's POV:

"Well nevermind, Kurara I think it's about time you take me around campus." Kusaka turned to Kurara and said. He always changes the subject like that. It's so annoying. Why did Principal Yamamoto have to make her involved with him?!

"Oh yeah, break's almost over so we should hurry. Do you want to join us Hitsugaya?" she then turned to me and asked.

"No. I rather stand my distance from this guy." But another side of me didn't want to leave those two alone.

"Ok, well I'll see you later." She siad and they walked off. After some distance apart, I saw Kusaka turn to me and gave me an evil smirk as he raised his hand, making it seem like he was holding her waist. Time stopped there. Ok, there was no way I'm leaving that man alone with her. With that, I secretly followed them.

Kurara's POV:

"I guess that's all of it that you have to know." I said as we walked back down the hall. "If you need to know anywhere else just let me know."

"I will. You're such a sweet girl you know that." Kusaka smirked, making me blush.

"You know you can stop with the catch phrases." I stammered, hiding my blush from him.

"Those weren't catch phrases. Those were real feelings." He suddenly said in a serious voice. Huh? I looked up to him and saw his eyes, those honest violet eyes.

"Kurara!" I turned around and saw Rangiku, Ichigo, Kuchiki sensei and Rukia in front of us. "Come on classes are about to start." Rangiku cried out.

"Oh alright! Well I guess I'll be going now Kusaka." I said and was about to run after them. I suddenly felt a strong grip on my wrist.

"Looks like everyone's here." I heard Kusaka mumble, then he pulled me in with a strong tug. In slow motion, I could see Kusaka's smirking face coming closer and closer towards me. And in an instant, something warm touched my lips. Someone else's lips. Kusaka just kissed me. I could hear everyone gasp in utter shock from behind. My mind was all jumbled up. I couldn't think straight. I tried to break free, pushing him away from me, finally breaking us apart. I just stared at him, wide open in disbelief, covering my lips with shaky hands. He just stole my first kiss, the kiss I've been saving for my soulmate. Yes, I am a very romantic person.

"Kusaka…" I heard someone growl and looked in front. Hitsugaya?! But what I saw, wasn't the Hitsugaya I usually see. His turquoise eyes darkened into a glare at Kusaka. His hands tightened into fists and trembled. "Kusaka…You bastard. You really did it this time." Hitsugaya face darkened even more. "YOU AND ME! IN THE DOJO, RIGHT NOW! WE'RE SETTLING THIS ONCE AND FOR ALL!" He screamed at the top of his lungs in rage. I never seen Hitsugaya like this. It was…

Scary.

How was it? Please support. Also, important notice: I'm thinking of doing a new fanfic. It will be about Kurara again, but this time, the whole cast will be shinigami. The plot is that Kurara has secret powers which are precious to both the shinigami and a new enemy, and the three guys and the rest of the shinigami will have to work together to protect her. Please review if you think it's a good idea.
