Hey everyone. Enjoy the new chapter.
Chapter 28: Monday, I'm here for you
Everyone just stared at the two boys, Hitsugaya and Kusaka. It all happened so suddenly. Kusaka's surprise appearance, Hitsugaya acting all furious with him for some reason, Kusaka taking away my first kiss and now these two look like they're about to start world war III. I could feel my legs shaking in shock.
"Oh Toshiro, you should learn about privacy. It's rude to interrupt a young couple at these kinds of events." Kusaka calmly said as he slung his arm around my shoulder. Hitsugaya eyes had an even more evil glare and he started moving forward.
"Get your filthy hands off her!" Hitsugaya screamed and punched Kusaka in the face with great force, the impact dragged Kusaka onto the ground with a loud thud.
"Kusaka!" I cried out as I saw Kusaka rubbing the very red bruise on his cheek. Hitsugaya just stood in front of him, clenching his jaws and fists. Just what is their relationship? Hitsugaya then slowly walked towards him and grabbed the collar, pulling him up.
"That's it. You and me, in the dojo this minute!" he growled, pulling his face close to his glare.
"Hmph! That's fine with me, after all we both know what the outcome will be." Kusaka smirked staring back with evil eyes. I could see lightning coming out from their eys.
"Ok you two, break it up." Kuchiki sensei finally broke the two apart and Hitsugaya was not the least happy about that. "If you have forgotten, it's still school hours so fighting is forbidden, you should know that Hitsugaya." Hitsugaya clicked his tongue in response. Whoa, I've never seen him do something like that in front of Kuchiki sensei. "I suggest you forget about this nonsense for now and continue this when school ends." He suggested. What?! He's letting them off?! That's new.
"Fine. Meet me at the dojo right after school. We'll settle things there." Hitsugaya said and turned to walk back to class.
"Kurara! Are you alright? That must have been quite a shock." Once I heard Rangiku's comment, all the memories I wished would have been forgotten came back, my first kiss was stolen, by someone I barely met. Just what's gonna happen now?
After school:
It took all my strength to forget that incident but Kusaka's smirking face keeps popping up in my head. Guess this is what it feels like when someone takes away your first kiss. Other than that, I was worried about Hitsugaya. He seemed like he really hate Kusaka. His eyes, it looked just like Ichigo's when he saw Hichigo, the desire for dark revenge.
"Hey Kurara." I looked up and saw Ichigo in front of my desk. "Don't worry so much about Toshiro. I'm sure he has a good and calm way to deal with this." He said, giving me a reassuring smile. I smiled back. Hitsugaya is quite cool when things like this come about, like when I was bullied by the three girls. Maybe Ichigo's right, maybe…
"Guys come quick! You gotta see this!" Rangiku suddenly came through the door and exclaimed. Something about her anxious features didn't make me feel comfortable. Moments later, we arrived at what seemed like Class S. Most of the tables and chairs were toppled all over and I could almost see dents on the table tops.
"What happened here?!" I screamed.
"It was Hitsugaya and Kusaka. Kusaka probably said something to Hitsugaya and ticked him off. Before you know it, they were battling it out in the middle of class. The teacher had no power against them." Ishida explained with Kasandora beside him.
"Ok, I take back what I said about having a calm way to settle this." Ichigo sighed. I was just wondering what made Hitsugaya this angry. "Where are they now?"
"Dunno, they ran out so fast no one could follow them." Ishida replied. Then I remembered.
"I think I know where they could be." I said.
At the Dojo:
"I knew it." I muttered. Me and the rest just arrived at the dojo and the two boys were already having a sword fight. "We gotta stop them." I was about to step in when someone tugged me back.
"It's best not to." Kuchiki sensei?! "Nothing can stop them now. If you go there you'll likely get hurt. I can tell that Hitsugaya isn't there." He said. I then turned and realized he was right. Hitsugaya's actions were not like how he used to be, and his eyes were darkened with anger. It was like he was possessed.
"But we can't just leave them there. If this continues both may end up getting hurt." Rukia remarked. They seemed like they wanted to kill the other. Well at least that's what Hitsugaya makes it seem like, Kusaka just seems to be having fun.
"Damn you Kusaka, you always have to get in the way. The only damn thing you're good at is making everything worse." Hitsugaya growled as their swords collided.
"Really. It's that what you should say to your brother." Kusaka whispered. I could almost feel Hitsugaya boil as the atmosphere around them got hotter.
"Why you!" Hitsugaya used more force on his sword, pushing Kusaka closer to the ground. It felt almost like when I saw Ichigo and Hichigo fighting back in Karakura. I have to stop them.
"Hitsugaya! Please stop, fighting isn't gonna get you anywhere." I cried out as I stepped into the ring.
"Kurara! What are you doing?! Get back here!" Ichigo shouted, but I continued to the duelists. But I got closer, things got worse.
"Shut up! This is just between him and I. So get lost!" Before I knew it, something came towards me, punching me on the right side of my forehead. I then fell to the ground with a loud thud, followed with gasps from the others. I slowly looked up and felt dizzy, with something wet on the right side of my face.
"Kurara! You're bleeding!" I heard Rukia gasp as she and Rangiku rushed towards me. I touched the part that felt wet, and did see a bit of blood on my fingers. "We gotta get you bandaged up and fast!" she stuttered, looking around for a first aid box.
"Rukia it's alright. It's only a little…" then my head felt heavy and I felt like fainting.
"Haruno!" I heard Kuchiki sensei cry out and I felt myself being lifted up. "Rukia, go ahead and inform Unohana to prepare some bandages. I'll bring her there shortly." Rukia nodded and ran to the infirmary with Rangiku running behind her. All I could see was a fuzzy image of Hitsugaya's shocked but concerned face before darkness overtook me.
Hitsugaya's POV:
I can't believe that happen. Anger just overtook me and I hurt the one person who I wanted to protect. What's worse, I made her so hurt that she was bleeding. I just stood there, rooted to the ground in shock.
"Toshiro! What's your deal?! Did you have to hurt Kurara like that?!" I heard Kurosaki scream and saw him follow Kuchiki sensei to the infirmary. I wanted to go to, but what use will I be there?
"Hmm, looks like now you're the one who hurt someone dear to you." I heard Kusaka mutter under his breath. I turned and glared at him. "Hey why are you glaring at me? It was your own actions which hurt her. I had nothing to do with it." He gave me his evil smirk. I gave another glare and ran off to where the others went.
Kurara's POV:
I slowly opened my eyes and found myself staring at a white ceiling.
"Kurara! Are you ok?" Rangiku exclaimed once she saw me waking up.
"Yeah, just a little dizzy." I replied softly.
"I never knew Hitsugaya had that kind of strength to hurt someone until they bled." Rukia remarked.
"I never knew that he would dare hurt Kurara." Ichigo mumbled. Truthfully, I also never knew he would do such a thing. I just hope things didn't worsen when we left those two.
"Anyways, Unohana said you didn't lose that much blood so you'll just need to rest up here." Kuchiki sensei said.
"I'm sorry for worrying you like that." I said.
"It's not your fault. Toshiro is the one to be blamed. He of all people should know how to contain his anger." Ichigo complained and I gave a nervous chuckle. But I can't blame him. He was probably so angry with Kusaka that he lost it. But why? "Well, we should let you rest up. We'll come back tomorrow to pick you up."
"Thanks." And then they left the room. I guess I can finally get some rest.
"Finally they're gone." Huh?! Soon after, the windows slid open and kneeling on the edge was Hitsugaya. I was quite mesmerized by the sight before me. The soft wind blew his white hair like waves, the orange light from the setting sun in the background and his eyes, back to their bright turquoise self. "I thought they would never go away."
"They were only here for a few minutes. Wait a second! What were you doing outside?!" I exclaimed.
"I'm amazed you still have the strength to scream like that." He remarked as he sat at the edge of my bed.
"That…That's not the point." I mumbled.
"Anyway. I just came here to apologies. What I did was stupid. I guess I got carried away with Kusaka." Hitsugaya softly said.
"I accept your apology, but just what has Kusaka done to you that makes you so mad?" I asked, leaving Hitsugaya deep in thought. Then he looked at me, staring deep into my eyes, startling me a bit.
"You remember what Ukitake said, about my parents." He asked and I replied with a nod. "It was all a lie." Eh?! "The truth is, Ukitake adopted me, as well as Hinamori."
"Adopted?" I repeated.
"Hinamori's parents died in a fire, after that Hinamori's been afraid of flames. As for my parents…they were killed." What?!
"What do you mean killed?!" I exclaimed.
"My father owned a famous hospital and was the head doctor and my mother was one of the nurses working there. Many people admired them. My father for his amazing talent in healing and my mother for her warm heart towards the patients. When I was five this man came and demanded that my father sell the hospital to them. Anyone would have done it since they gave a hefty amount of money, but my father refused since that hospital was passed down for generations and he loved it too much to sell it away. But that guy was persevering, he kept coming back from time to time, demanding the hospital. Then one day, he gave up coming and we thought it will be all over. But it wasn't, it actually turned out worse."
"My parents were driving off to a reunion and left me at home. But when they came to a curb, another car came in at full speed, crashing into them, after that, an explosion." I froze in shock, hearing about Hitsugaya's dark past. "I was young so they never told me the details only that my parents didn't make it. In their will, it stated to pass down the business to me and that man's family adopted me, making the business indirectly theirs. After some time the hospital still ran well, but all the money which was suppose to make the hospital better, all used up for that family's own pleasure. It disgusted me. Then one night, I overheard them talking, talking about the truth. That car which killed my parents were hired by them to purposely hit them. They also knew that I was too young to handle the company, so they planned on adopting me so that the business will go to them."
"So…all of that was to get their hands on your parents' hospital." I murmured. He slowly nodded.
"Ever since I knew that, I hated them so badly. Not only that they killed my parents for no good reason, they dragged in innocent people to do their damn job for them." I could see Hitsugaya gripping his hands so tightly. "And do you know who those people were?" I shook my head. "They were Kusaka's parents." What?! "Those devils took my family's pride and joy just like that, and Kusaka never felt the sense of pity to me, just made it seem like he was my older brother and made me seem like a fool. So in the end I had enough and ran away to Ukitake's house." When he finished his story, I felt tears coming down from my eyes.
"Hitsugaya, why aren't you crying? Most people would have when they tell a story like that." I asked softly and he gave a soft chuckle.
"I cried a lot back then. I no longer have any tears to shed." He whispered. "Besides, crying won't help. It won't help bring back my parents, or give back our hospital." Then I realized something.
"You've been holding all those feelings back weren't you?" I asked, I could see him flinch, bowing his head down with his fringe hiding his eyes. "Hitsugaya." I don't know why but my body moved on its own and before I knew, I was hugging Hitsugaya from behind.
"Kurara?" he stuttered.
"There is a use for crying. Letting your feelings out makes things seem easier. It takes a load off your shoulders. That's why your personality is so cold right? Because you always bottle up your feelings. But it's ok to shed a few tears. It's ok to do it now if you're afraid. No one's here and I won't look if you mind. I just want you to let it all out now, I don't want this to be a burden to you." I stuttered in between my tears. Then I could feel Hitsugaya shaking in my arms. Then he suddenly turned around, holding me tightly with his head resting on my shoulder. I could hear him cry and tears rolling down my back. After minutes of tears, he grabbed my shoulder and looked at me with almost teary eyes.
"Thank you, Kurara." His soft voice made my heart skip a beat. "Oh yeah, also I want you to forget that Kusaka stole your first kiss. And…" He then came closer and soon, placed his lips on top of mine, giving me a soft kiss. EH?! My mind was practically in a jumble as I felt his warmth flowing through me from our lips. Then he broke apart and looked at me, smirking. "And to remember that I stole your first kiss." What! That's…That's… "You must be tired, go and sleep. I'll see you tomorrow. I have to go before Kuchiki sensei comes and finds me." With that, he walked to the window and jumped down. I couldn't even stop him, I was still shocked by his sudden move. I touched my lips and repeated the scene. Hitsugaya has hugged me and said nice things to me, but now…He kissed me! I could feel myself almost being on cloud nine, then came back to the real world with a shock. Could it be ….that I love…Hitsugaya?!
That's it! Thank you for reading and pls review and support.
