Hey dear readers!
It's been a long time, but I haven't forgotten about you guys. Life has just been hectic.
So, now it's the epilogue, but before I post it, I would like to thank all those who supported me and this story from the beginning. I know I gave you guys a scare when I said I was abandoning this story, but…things changed! And here I am, about to write the epilogue. This is my first multi chapter story, and I learned a lot from it. I had great fun writing it, apart from the writer's block. Bleh.
And to those who liked this story, and enjoy reading AU and or future fics, please read my other multi-chapter, "A Second Chance at Love". Kurt and Blaine, together for eight years, break up and reconnect six years later. The story follows their path of mending their broken friendship and perhaps [hopefully] their relationship as well.
And follow me on twitter! juliiashih. I'm posting updated of my chapters, possible spoilers of current and/or future stories. And also, I want to start a series of one-shots of Klaine or Kurtbastian (any) and I need prompts. I'm accepting them by twitter, PM or guest reviews. PLEASE HELP ME WITH PROMPTS. :D Now on to the epilogue.
Disclaimer: I do not own anything Glee related.
4 years later
"Kurt! Hurry up or we are going to be late!" Blaine shouted. Blaine was fully dressed in his tuxedo, waiting for Kurt to finish getting ready. They were getting ready to leave for the Tony Awards, that was being hosted by Blaine this year, for the first time, and Kurt couldn't be prouder of his fiancé, yes, fiancé.
After they had gotten together all those years ago, things went splendidly for the two of them. They were still best friends, close as ever, but they now had the added bonus of kissing, cuddling and being affectionate with each other. Though they were in love, they took their relationship slowly. They didn't want to be caught up with the physical side, opting to establish the emotional side of their relationship. After months of dating, spending evenings at each other's house and occasionally spending the night, sharing a bed and cuddling, they finally took the final step. Their first time was magical, and they were both happy they waited afterwards.
Their relationship progressed in this same fashion, dates, evening cuddling, occasionally one would spend the night at the other's, for two years, until Nick and Jeff finally tied the knot, and Kurt moved in with Blaine instead. The night that Kurt moved in was a night in which they celebrated in every way possible, showing the other how much they loved each other multiple times.
Kurt had decided, about a year into their relationship, that Broadway wasn't for him after all, and decided to pursue fashion instead, opening his own line and soon becoming famous, seeing as Blaine, who was still a beloved and famous Broadway performer, always wore KH originals.
Their first big fight came in about six months after Kurt moved in with Blaine. Kurt had been running errands in the other side of town, and a huge storm hit the city. Kurt had been out till late and as the storm was too strong, he decided against returning home and stayed at a hotel. He was too tired to remember calling Blaine to let him know, and his phone died during the night, making him late to work. He returned home late that night to a pissed Blaine. They spent days not talking, with Kurt sleeping in the guest room, until Kurt finally caved and sent apology flowers to Blaine at work. The two soon made up, with promises of always letting the other know if he was staying out late or not returning home for the night. After their fight they came out even closer than before.
On their 4 year anniversary, which they spent in Lima, Blaine finally proposed, in front of Kurt's family. Kurt, who had a hand placed on his mouth with tears cascading down his cheeks, nodded eagerly, while pulling out his own ring for Blaine, as his boyfriend- fiancé – had beat him to the punch. The Hudmels congratulated them loudly, and even Burt shed a few tears. Blaine had approached him for permission, and he couldn't have asked for someone better for his son.
And now, here they were, six months into their engagement, with half the wedding planning over, Blaine hosting the Tony Awards for the first time, Kurt a famous fashion designer, and as in love as they were four years ago, if not more.
Kurt came floating down the stairs of their duplex looking gorgeous in a KH original and fixing one lose strand of his hair back into place in his perfect coif. His ring caught the light and glistened, making Blaine grin widely from his spot on the bottom of the stairs. Kurt approached his fiancé and lightly pecked his lips.
"What are you smiling at?"
Blaine smiled even wider. "You, always you." He leaned in and kissed Kurt again, putting a little more pressure this time. Kurt smiled into the kiss and broke it, grabbing his wallet and keys with one hand and Blaine's hand with the other.
"Ready, Mr. Tony-Awards-Host?"
Blaine nodded. "As ever as I will be, fiancé. I love you."
After six months he still got jitters from saying the word, and Kurt grinned at the term.
"And I love you, future Mr. Hummel-Anderson. Now come on, or we'll be late."
"Not my fault." Blaine grumbled from behind, but followed nonetheless.
Kurt laughed loudly and the two stepped out and into the waiting car, ready to face the Tony's and anything life threw their way. They had made it. Their dreams had come true, and they, to top it all off, had each other.
The end.
