If it wasn't for Gemma, Dani would've lost her mind right there and then. Never before had she guessed to have to deal with a situation like this, yet here she was. The life she had was unlike anything she ever expected. When she started to date Jax she knew there was a certain danger surrounding him, but she never imagined it to be like this.

Jax was in prison, and Dani was at home with Abel. She hadn't cried, even though she had wanted to. Dani had told herself to be strong for herself, but also for Abel. She needed to keep it together for him.

Gemma had helped her keep her sane after Jax and the other guys had been led away by the police, telling her how everything was going to be alright and he would be out soon. Dani knew Jax had been to prison before and she could only hope he knew how to carry himself in there and not get killed. County jail wasn't a fun place to be.

"Dani, come on! We're already late!" Gemma shouted from the living room.

Dani gathered her stuff together, checking her watch quickly before realizing they were actually far from late but decided not to argue. She shoved her stuff in her bag and made her way over to the living room where Gemma was waiting for her, Abel's car seat dangling from her arm.

"Let's go," she told her, taking the lead.

Gemma decided she wanted to drive, and since Dani wasn't able to keep her mind off Jax, she let her. He constantly crept into her mind. Even after telling herself he would be absolutely fine a million times, she couldn't help but worry.

She placed Abel in the back seat, herself getting in the front. Gemma drove off a little aggressively. Behind the wall she had put up around herself, Dani knew she too was very worried about Clay and Jax. Gemma was the kind of person to never show it.

They managed to get to SAMCRO's attorney's office in no time. Dani remembered her all to well, as she had helped her out when Lana pressed charges against her. Which Clay made her drop. Dani never quite forgave Clay for that and she doubted she would ever forgive him.

"Come on in," Lowen said. She had opened the door for Gemma and Dani, letting them in. Dani placed Abel on her desk right besides her so she could keep an eye on him while she sat down on one of the chairs in front of the desk. Gemma did the same.

"So, I got some bad news," she started.

Dani raised her eyebrows, preparing herself for the worst. She kept her eyes focused on Lowen.

"The bail is three million dollars, they are not getting out any time soon."

It was if the world crashed down on her again. They had hoped they would be able to post the guys' bail, get them out of there as quickly as possible. Dani had some money saved up, but nowhere near to that amount.

"Shit," Gemma simply said.

Dani took in a deep breath. "There has to be a way to get the money."

"Three million is a lot, Dani," Lowen spoke. "I looked at everyone's saving account, but even combined you are nowhere near it. Unless you plan on winning the lottery in the next few days, I'm afraid they'll be spending a little more time in there than we want."

Dani shook her head. How could luck be so against them? There had to be someone who could help them out.

"I'm sorry," Lowen said finally.

"Yeah," Gemma nodded.

"No fucking visitation rights," Gemma mumbled. She was pacing up and down Dani's kitchen while she was feeding Abel.

Dani had trouble coming to grips with everything. First the 3 million dollar bail, second no visiting him. This was slowly turning into a nightmare.

"We will get them out of there," Dani nodded, trying to sound convincing.

"How?" Gemma responded. She stood still before Dani, her hands resting on her hips.

"Maybe I can get a mortgage on the café, plus if we sell my house in time I can put the money towards the bail."

"Honey, I know you think your café is the best and everything, but that building is never worth 3 million dollars," Gemma snapped.

"Hey," Dani hissed. "I'm just trying to think of something."

The stress of the situation was getting to them. Dani didn't want to fight, but they were both so annoyed with the situation that they started to take it out on each other.

"No," Gemma shook her head. "Wait here. I think I got a plan."

"What plan?" Dani shouted, but Gemma was already out of the door.

When it was getting dark outside, Dani realized Gemma was not coming back. Whatever her plan was, it was taking her longer than Dani would've wanted. She had put Abel to bed hours ago and she was starting to feel tired. It was only now that she realized how tired her body was.

She managed to drag herself to bed, nestling herself in the blankets. Dani rested her head on Jax's pillow, wishing he was here right now. She wondered how he was holding up there, but she reminded herself that he was strong and nobody could take him on.

When she heard her phone ring she shot up. How long had she been asleep?

"Hello?" Dani spoke, rubbing her eyes with her fingers.

"Dani, you better come to the clubhouse. I got them out."

It was Gemma. Dani checked her watch, realizing it was about 12 at night. What did she mean they were getting out? Was she dreaming?

"Got what out?" she asked, her fingers running through her hair before quickly checking the baby monitor.

"The guys!" Gemma seemed to almost be shouting. "Jax!"

Dani's heart seemed to stand still. They were out? So soon? She her hand and the phone drop to the side of her body, trying to take in a deep breath. When she felt she had control of her breathing again she placed the phone at her ear again.

"Is he okay?" she asked. Jail could get pretty rough. It wouldn't be the first time someone had gotten seriously hurt on the inside.

"Yeah," Gemma replied. "Come over here. They'll be here soon."

"I will be there in a sec," she replied, quickly placing the phone down.

Before she turned to Abel she took a moment to herself. Dani squealed in delight. Jax was coming home. What could have ended in a nightmare, actually ended pretty okay. They certainly dodged a bullet here.

With her heart pounding in her chest, she placed Abel in his car seat, making sure he was wearing his Sons of Anarchy hat. She couldn't wipe the smile off her face. This had definitely been one of the most stressful times of her life. It had really tested her loyalty to Jax, the club, and Abel. But somehow she had managed to fight her way through it.

She grabbed the car seat, made sure she put out the lights and headed out the door, ready to see Jax again.

A/N: Sorry for the extremely long wait! University has started again (and I've been writing another story oops) and I've been really busy. Hopefully I'll get more spare time to write, though. The chapter is a little short but I didn't want to spent too much time on this. Also SoA has started again a few days ago and it has inspired me to continue this fic! I realized I'm already at Chapter 39 and I have no idea until what season I will continue but we'll find out it the future. Please leave a review and until next time!
