Bella is not accostumed to deal with her problems. Normally, she would go with the flow even if she was in a situation she didn't like. For once, she doesn't want to settle for less than she deserves and someone has to prove that they are worth her love. Story about growing up as a person and as a woman. AU/AH. Bella POV.

2. Summer Bummer

Chapter 1 - Summer Bummer

This summer has been great. Well, what little time of it I could enjoy. Exams were a bummer, I can't believe my first exam of Math was so bad, I had to repeat it. It's pretty clear I won't be able to go to a public university and my parents don't have that much money. So, I'll have to go to a private one and work at the same time or I'll be forced to wait at least another year to go.

After my exams, I went almost every day to the beach. My skin is still pale. All of my friends got tanned except me. I guess the sun just didn't want to mark me. But going to the beach is fun even if I have to put sunscreen every 30 minutes. What can I do? Just live with it.

Angela is always asking me to go out with her and her friends. I want to so bad, but my mom says she's too tired to come and get me at the end. I'm a little upset because I haven't gone out to a club this entire summer and it sucks.

I feel my phone vibrating in my pocket and I already know who it is.

''Hey girl!'' Angela says, excited.

''Hi. What's up?'' I sit on my bed, already guessing why she's calling.

''Well, me and my friend, Bonnie, are going out Thursday to Eskada. Please, please, come!'' I can mentally visualize her begging, looking at me like a puppy wanting another treat.

''You know I can't go. My mom won't let me.'' I say upset.

''You can sleep at my place. It's even closer to the club than yours and you won't go home alone. I know she doesn't like it when you come late by yourself.''

''I don't know...''

''Ask her at least. You didn't go out the entire summer and it's already ending. You're 17, Bella. It's fucking time she gives you a little more room to let loose, don't you think?''

I know Angela's right, but, at the same time, I know my mom is right, too. Kind of. Not really, but she is my mom.

''Yes. I'll ask her. I'll talk to you later, okay?''

''Sure, bye babe.''

I end the call and take a breath. Now I just have to convince my mom that this is a good idea.

Is Bella's mom letting her go out to Eskada? Hmm, can't wait to find out.
