Claire reached out and took the paper from Quint's hand. She smiled before putting the paper in her pocket.
"I wonder how you managed to get it, but Chris told me that you were actually able to find anything he needed."
"Kind of your brother" Quint smiled shy. "But I wasn't able to get the phone number, as I wanted. A spy would never stay with the same phone number for a long time. But I believe that email will also be helpful."
"Certainly." Claire smiled
Claire put her hand into her purse and pulled out a box, placing it on the table. Quint looked at it surprised.
"Chocolate?"
Claire blinked and smiled.
"Thank you, Quint. And don't forget that it will be our little secret."
"No problem" Quint smiled back " It was a pleasure doing business with you, more lucrative than dealing with your brother."
"Why isn't it lucrative to trade with me?" Chris inquired by the door.
"Well Chris, I bet you did not know Quint loved chocolate." Claire said trying to sound natural.
"Of course I didn't know that, he's not my girlfriend."
Quint, Chris and Claire laughed at the same time.
"Ready to go, Claire?"
"Yes, let's." Claire winked at Quint again and took her laptop on his desk "Thanks for fixing my computer."
Quint smiled and nodded.
Claire smiled back and left the room following Chris. She knew that Chris had believed in her excuse, he'd never distrust of his beloved sister.

It was just after midnight and Claire felt her eyes tired. She decided to take a glass of water to try to stay awake.
Claire went to the kitchen carrying the phone in one hand and a book in the other. Maybe to sit on the terrace for a while to read would help her wait a little longer. She had sent the email to Ada about four hours ago and had gotten no response so far. Claire would be home in two days and she would like to help Leon before that.
After drinking a glass of water, Claire turned off the kitchen light and walked towards the terrace. As she passed through the living room, Jill appeared wearing a Chris's t-shirt.
"Still awake, Claire?" Jill asked smiling.
"Yes. I need to solve somethings."
"I thought you were so used to the silence of the countryside, that you were having problems to sleep with the noises here again."
"Yes I miss the sound of the trees and children" Claire grinned "But I get used to everything."
"I need to visit you someday, your brother says it's a perfect place."
"Yes, you should cause you will love it." Claire nodded.
"Where's our ..." Chris appeared in the hallway wearing shorts. "Claire? You up?" He said sheepishly.
"Relax, Bro." Claire pointed the finger at the two "Now I understand where your physical fitness come from. You both can get back into the bedroom for more training and I'll read a little out there where no noise will annoy me."
Chris was serious, looking at Jill and Claire while the girls were laughing, as if he had not understood Claire's joke.
"Goodnight and good workout for you, partners." Claire said smiling walking to the terrace.
"Stop, Claire" Jill said still smiling. "Goodnight."
Claire closed the glass door still looking at Chris face, he was so lost and embarrassed she wanted to laugh forever. She sat in the chair and stretched her feet when she heard a beep on her phone. Just received an email.
She sat up quickly with the device in her hand and got her email, she felt anxious. It was from Ada.
After a long time trying to think of a way to convince Ada to attend a restaurant, Claire knew that the only thing that would ensure the presence of a spy would be a job. Claire decided to use her real name, that would be better.
And Claire wrote an email with formal vocabulary as well, offering a good amount of money for Ada only to confirm a secret information related to TerraSave. She said that for the safety of Ada she would book a restaurant table, where she would give Ada the flash drive with some of the data that she should investigate. A simple, secure and economically interesting work. Something that Ada would not refuse.
And as Claire suspected, Ada accepted the job. She said she would be there in time. Claire smiled with her lips, as she cried from the heart. In a few hours would be handing the man she loved in the arms of another woman.

Stopped in the parking lot of the Thai restaurant that she was used to visit when she comes to town. Claire looked at the starry sky.
The night seemed quiet, but not for Claire, it would be the most tumultuous night of all. Her heart was wildly. Her eyes burned. Her thoughts were in conflict.
Scarf on her head and sunglasses in the parking lot, Claire realized that she was ugly enough not to be noticed. And as she suspected, she saw Ada coming by taxi. Logically a spy would not be driving a car and leave it in a parking lot monitored by security cameras.
Leon was fifteen minutes late and Claire began to get worried. She decided to approach the side windows to see if he really had not arrived yet.
Claire went to the window and after a few seconds she found Ada. She was sitting at a table in the darkest corner of the restaurant. She didn't seem impatient.
Convincing Leon would be a problem. Claire knew he would refuse any services and suspect any professional matter. So she decided to reach the male ego. She sent an anonymous email saying how handsome he is and that she was a secret admirer of long standing, and that if he wanted to know who she was, he should meet her. She knew he would come.
Leon would now have no more excuses or fears. He could finally tell Ada how he felt, he could finally live that relationship that began in wistful Raccoon City.
"Excuse me, lady" a woman said next to Claire.
Claire took a step back to allow the woman to pass, coming in front of a man who was on the other side, so she collided with him.
"I'm sorry, ma'am." The man said.
After recognizing the voice of the boy, Claire bent down holding her scarf on her head and started walking back without direction. Lucky her, Leon didn't recognized her.
After walking for a few seconds, Claire looked back and realized that Leon entered the restaurant, feeling relieved.
''That was close.' She thought.
Claire chose not to watch the meeting of Leon and Ada. She preferred to let the pain she carried to be only about what she imagined and not about the memories of what she had seen.
The only thing that mattered now was the happiness of Leon and she had taken a big step in that direction for him.
'Be happy, Leon.' she thought before starting the car and driving back to Chris's apartment. From that moment on she had to write her story, her own story without Leon.
