Hi, this is my first ever post, and I would like to dedicate this poem to I'mFreeAsMyHair because she's such a wonderful person and she was there for me during my darkest days. Oh, and she loves Science, because I do too (not really…)! Hydrogen, Gold, Lead, Phosphorous, Yttrium, Boron, Iodine, Ruthenium, Titanium, Helium, Dubnium, Argon, and Ytterbium!

House of Sticks
He was a prankster, a scammer, a con.
But between him and her, there was a peculiar bond.
She was like the light at the end of the tunnel;
Always guiding him out of trouble.
There are misconceptions of him being the bad guy,
But there really is more than meets the eye.
All it takes is for the right person to appear,
And out comes all of his hidden fears.
That was it, she was the one.
In his dark and gloomy life, she was the sun.
From the day his eyes were set,
He knew there would be no regret.
He let down his walls and allowed her into his life,
It was the best decision he ever made when he was in strife.
A year later, the two started dating.
Year after year, he was waiting and waiting.
But then the inevitable came;
Their love came crashing down and he was the one to blame.
It was during their final year of high school,
When he decided to cheat on her because he was such a fool.
He thought he was cool,
He thought he was suave,
But what he didn't know,
Was that she was the only other half.
And just like that, their short time together came to an end.
There's more to this, but all I can say is that they're no longer even friends;
He hurt her so deeply that not even a new love could fix.
Their love was fragile, just like a house of sticks.
