A/N: I had fun with this one, honestly enough, and it just… came to me at I think… 0330 this morning? Somewhere in there. (That's 3:30 AM, just in case no one caught it.) Nonetheless, this should be pretty fun.

Disclaimer: I don't know who you are. I do know what you want. If you are looking for payment, I can tell you I don't have money… but what I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills that I have acquired over a very long career. These skills make me a nightmare for people like you. If you give up the Teen Titans rights to me now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not throw water balloons at you. But if you don't… I will look for you… I will find you… and I will take back what is rightfully mine… and you'll be pelted with water balloons. How unpleasant.

Chapter 12

Water

He stalked his prey, slinking around corners and sticking to shadows. She was quick, he'd give her that, but he had dozens of predators on his side, their senses and reactions stacking upon each other, giving him the edge he needed. He was but a ghost upon the wall, invisible to all but the most competent of prey. Not to say that she was incompetent, just blind to his pure awesomeness, which hid him from her view.

"I know you're there."

It… masked… his… scent. Yes! It masked his scent. That didn't make any logical sense, but then again, he wasn't logical. He was primal and that was all that was needed. She was unaware, now was the time to pounce. Now was his chance! He leapt from the shadows, poised to strike, only to be caught mid-air and held aloft, the dark sorceress turning to face him, a look of annoyance crossing her face. Annoyance? Just annoyance? He, Changeling, should strike fear into the heart of his prey. Not mere annoyance. Raven fixed him with a slight glare, "What exactly do you think you're doing?" He fixed her with a blank look, he would give nothing away. Her eyes shifted to the object he held, "Please tell me you were not going to use that on me?" He said nothing, averting his gaze. The simple action told her all she needed to know, "I'd start thinking of an aquatic animal. Quickly." He felt the odd, tingling iciness that usually accompanied her powers, before his world blacked out briefly. He looked down at his feet as his ability to move returned to him, and the world with it, spotting the ocean quite a ways below him. He must have really made her mad.

Changeling grinned, dropping smoothly into the ocean and clutched his weapon of choice in a death grip, the bright green and white paint on the plastic standing out in the crisp, cerulean sea. She had only delayed his victory.

Cyborg, Starfire and Robin were called out on another alert, though again, much to the chagrin of the Sorceress and the amusement of the Changeling, they insisted they could handle it themselves. Now was his chance for his vengeance. He smirked as he watched her disappear down the hallway, snatched his weapon off the counter and followed, footsteps silent. She paused, just about to round a corner, tensing slightly underneath her cloak, "If you do… what I thi- Beast Boy!" He'd done it. He pulled the trigger and a jet of highly pressurized water had soaked the Sorceress. She turned to him, glaring, and her eyes flickered to a dull, angry red. Shit. He had no time to flinch as the hidden pipes in the ceiling were wrought from their moorings, ripped through the ceiling and directed at him. A larger spray of much more highly pressurized water knocked him clean off his feet and sent him tumbling down the hallway. He slid to a stop and shivered, before scrambling back as the red eyes followed him out of the darkness. He barely had time to reach for the water gun again before she pounced.

Cyborg, Starfire and Robin returned to the tower, having successfully defeated Mad Mod… again. The poor man never seemed to give up. They were discussing dinner options as the elevator doors chimed and slowly broke apart. Cyborg was the first to notice the damage. Robin only noticed after he looked down and watched a small wave of water roll into the now open doors, before peering out from the compartment. The common room was absolutely soaked. Water dripped from the ceiling in a constant stream, ran down the walls in small rivers, and had pooled on the floor in a permanent puddle. Pipes hung from the ceiling, their supply of water emptied onto the floor, though a steady drip was evident. Starfire floated into the center of the room, glancing around curiously, before her eyes alighted on her friends, both sitting equidistant on the large, square sofa, "Friends! What has happened? Was the tower… attacked perhaps, by wild sea monsters from the stories of old?" Raven grumbled, more like a growl, while Beast Boy stayed silent.

Robin approached the sofa, his boots splashing loudly, awkwardly, "I had better start hearing some good answers as to why the tower is absolutely flooded." Raven turned halfway, her violet hair thoroughly wet, mangled and messy in general, "Ask him." Their leader turned to Beast Boy, "Well?" He turned a little more and gave the traffic light his signature grin, "Oh, I think you already know the answer." Robin threw his hands up in the air and splashed away, "Then you already know you'll be cleaning it up." A groan of frustrated echoed from the kitchen, where Cyborg was examining the wreckage, "Aw man, y'all washed out the stove, the microwave, the dishwasher. BB, why man? Why?" Beast Boy ignored him, standing, and water streamed off of his uniform. He turned to Raven, who had fixed him with half glare, half mischievous smirk. He knew it. She had enjoyed that. Mostly. He leaned down close to her, way closer than was probably safe at that exact point in time. Their eyes met, and they shared a silent look for a brief moment, instantly conveying a dozen different emotions, before he whispered right up against her ear, "Nice to know you can be so… primal, Rae. I like it." She blushed deep red, and shot him a look, while he smirked heavily. The team was oblivious, until Raven vanished in a flash of dark energy, and Beast Boy disappeared out of a broken window, sailing into the ocean.

Neither of them had seen the kiss he'd stolen.

A/N: Annnnd… I'm not sure if I like how I ended that, but hey. It's longer than I thought it'd be. I loved writing this one. I don't know why. Anyway, enjoy, review. Watch out for that water balloon sailing towards you. Yeah I put that there. I know you guys still love me. Have fun!
