Tess-

It had been just over three hours when I finally was able to access the files on Lex's computer. Luckily Oliver was still at watchtower with the others, he had called to check up

on me about twenty minutes ago saying that he was able to come back now if I needed him and when I said I was fine he told me he would just be a few more hours, giving

me more than enough time to finish. I started scanning through the labels looking for anything that showed any signs of threats towards me or any one of the watchtower

members. Then I found something that even I had to admit that it caught me off guard, it was a file labeled 'ZOD'

"how would Lex know about..." I started saying out loud, but stopped when I saw Oliver walk through the doors,

"how would Lex know about what?" he asked as he stood in the doorway,

"Oliver!" I said not prepared to answer his question,

"You're back early," hoping he wouldn't push it

"you're okay, right?" he asked

I let out a breath of relief and smiled at him.

Lex-

I had done it. I had recreated the vaccine that Professor Fine had, I read about it in a file called 'Project Mercury' and realized it was the true key to ultimate power all that was

needed now what's the formula and the agreement from ZOD I needed him to inhabit my body and then leave with me obtaining the powers, my research has shown that if I

modify the elixir slightly it should be able to work the way I need it to but I will be forced to offer ZOD in return, his freedom back into earth. Now that I had to Crystal I

should be able to access the Phantom zone speak with ZOD but it's extremely risky and I need back up I would consider sending Alicia but my control over her is weak and the

signal would not reach throughout the Phantom zone and if my records are correct she wouldn't have a Powers there regardless. After my discussion with the guards we finally

agreed that three of my top security will be coming in with me for protection carrying weapons, all I have to do is speak with his ZOD and get him on board with the plan but

first we need to figure out how to access the Phantom zone with the Crystal, asking Clark isn't an option so that leaves very few people who would even know about it let

alone understand it's vast power. I started searching through more files on my computer when I heard a knock at my door

"hello doctor" I said as the middle age balding man walked into the large mansion doors

"what brings you to my office doc?" He rubbed his neck before answering and you could practically see the sweat falling down his brow

"...We have a situation sir" his voice was small which worried me slightly but given his previous assumptions could be something minor or major.

"Well?" I asked motioning towards The bumbling idiot standing in front of me

"it's your guards sir... you better come see this" I got up from the glass desk and walked over to where he was motioning towards we both walked through the doors and into

the next room two of my guards lay unconscious at the door, an arrow in each back with a small tranquilizer dart at the bottom.

"Queen" I mumbled to myself as I walked back into the other room and locked the door I quickly moved towards the room with the security footage and looked through the

rest of the house to see if he was still there or not when I realized there was no one in the house I had the guards that were still awake do a full search of the house to see if

there's anything had been taken three rooms have been ransacked and many documents had been stolen but the Crystal was still in the safe near my desk which means he

probably wasn't looking for that, I checked through all the files I still had remaining and realize the files you took were all of my information on Tess, surprise surprise I

thought to myself and realized that I had to work fast and eliminate Queen and find out everything I can about Clark Kent.

Oliver-

I called Jimmy eight times... he didn't answer once. After the eighth I decided to break the pattern and call Tess instead, as I was calling Tess I got a text from Jimmy

saying that the next Olsen woo step was, 'to show her you care', of course I care, I thought to myself, it's just the 'show her' part that's the problem. Then I was the phone,

"Tess?" I said hoping that she did answer.

"Hi Oliver" she said sounding a bit unsure,

"are you alright?" I said trying complete the step and show that I have, and always will care for her.

"I'm fine Oliver." she said with a cold voice but I could tell that she was just trying to put up more walls to keep herself safe and who could blame after everything I've done to

her even I would hate me.

"You should be focused on helping Clark and Chloe or stopping Lex, not seeing if I'm okay."

"Mercy, no matter how much I want Lex dead, or at least out of the picture I won't forget how much I care about you... ever." after I finished there was a brief moment of

silence before Tess ended our talk, "well right now there are bigger things to care about, I'll talk to you later. Goodbye" the phone went dead. I called Jimmy back three more

times after my call ended with Tess. At this point he still wasn't answering my calls, I then went to go find Jimmy for myself. Once I pinpointed where Jimmy was I saw him

talking with Chloe. As I walked closer I took in parts of their conversation, "Jimmy, its the second time, and I know I'm not sick, we both know I'm -" Chloe said before noticing

I was at the door, "hi, Jimmy. Thanks for the text, but I need your help again" I said as Chloe gave me awkward look and then began to walk out, leaving us alone to talk.

"Oliver, look. I have to take care of something so I'm going to give you my next three steps to the Olsen Woo." "Thanks, but should I worry about this mysterious talk with you

and Chloe?" I said already concerned, "its fine, its just Chloe and myself catching up on things" "good. So…" "Make her feel safe, be reliable, and make her laugh." Jimmy said,

before pushing me out.

I walked into my apartment to hear the mumble of Tess's voice say something about Lex, "how would Lex know about what?" I asked slightly concerned but when she just

changed the subject I bothered not to push the question and continued to walk over to her, "you're okay, right?" I asked holding back my smile, but she smiled at me anyways

"yes. I'm alright, and to be honest you don't need to be here." she said as she closed the laptop "Great," I said now showing my smile fully, "lets both not be here together,

you said it yourself. You're alright" she looked up at me shocked as if i would even suggest it, when she saw I wasn't joking she just sighed and said "where would we even go

Oliver?" I widened my smile and answered "Come and you'll see." as I helped her up, and out the door. ~O~O~ After we left we started to walk down the street until we

walked passed a group of guys that were playing basketball. We were almost passed them when a couple of them started yelling things at us and whistling, that made me very

angry so I yelled some rude stuff back and we began to walk a bit faster when suddenly one of them threw the ball directly at us it started heading toward Tess and without

thinking I reached out my hand and caught the ball then shot it back at the net, just praying that it wouldn't miss, and it didn't, then ball went straight in the basket. After I

noticed it had, Tess seemed impressed, and maybe even a bit safe, then I said "I'm thinking of legally changing my name to 'swish.'" Tess laughed as I mentally checked off

'making her laugh' and then thought toward my next tip, until realizing I didn't have a next tip. Jimmy gave me the next three, and I used them all already, I couldn't text

Jimmy right now, she would notice, but just when Tess noticed the puzzled look on my face she asked me where we were going, and honestly for a moment I forgot where we

were going, I forgot what I was planning to do, and what I only knew was how I felt, so Jimmy's tips or not I had a night and I wasn't wasting it. I'll reuse some old tips and

hope for the best. "I'm taking you where I made the worst mistake of my life. Its finally time to make it right" I said finally answering Tess's question, and at first she seemed

confused until she saw the table appear before us. She was speechless for a moment trying to process why I had taken her here of all places this coffee shop where we had

our horrible talk that had happened almost two years ago once we got to the table and she still was silent and that made me extremely nervous so I stated, "Tess I know that

this place holds an awful memory for the both of us... but its time to fix my mistakes" she looked at me for a moment then finally said something, "Oliver. You made these so

called 'mistakes' once, but you may just try for me again, lose interest, and then leave me at this very table. So if you are going to make this, or 'us' right then be sure that

what you're doing is really right for both of us." "I have never been so sure about anything. I know this is right for me, but if its not right for you I will stop now, and never try

again. It will be hard, but if it makes you happy then I will do anything for you." I said as I struggled to let the words leave my lips. I didn't want to say it I didn't ever want to

let her go again I wanted to run around that table and kiss her tell her that we could run away together and never look back... but I couldn't I had to make it her choice. I

had to do it for her to be happy I had to do it because I love her "Oliver, I never wanted to admit this, but lately you have become -" Tess said studdering. "- More bearable.

So. Lets sit down." Once I heard those words I knew that I had a chance for there to finally be an us again, so I sat down, we talked until almost midnight then I realized Tess

was still in recovery so we went home we walked inside my apartment when we were outside her room she turned to me she put her hand lightly on my chest and looked up at

me with almost regretful eyes, I cupped her face with my hand and leaned in but she shook her head "don't" she said in a quiet voice barely above a whisper, "don't what?"

I asked not changing our positions, "don't try to kiss me, what you did today it was... amazing" she let out a breath and continued "but you deserve so much more than me

Oliver, you deserve someone who's not..." she trailed off and her eyes began to water, thats when it hit me how broken she was... how broken I had made her and seeing her

here like this made my heart in my chest. I pulled her into a tight hug and held her close she hugged me back right away and started sobbing softly into my shoulder, my eyes

started to water as well at the sound of her crying it hurt me so much to know that I was part of why she was like this I pulled away and kept my hands on her shoulders

"Look at me" I said in a steady voice as she lifted her head to face me, "listen to me mercy there is nothing wrong with you, you're perfect in everyway you are the most

amazing, intelligent, beautiful girl I have ever met don't ever think otherwise" and she hugged me again and I kissed her head tenderly as she wishperd softly against my chest

"Thank you, Oliver" then she let go smiled at me slightly and walked into her room without another word.
