"Hey, Kaoru!"
Her long golden hair was blowing against the wind, covering her face for a split second before she used her cute little fingers to move them out of the way to see the person in front of her.
"Kaoru?"
A light blush escaped her cheeks as I look her up and down.
Damn! Was she gorgeous.
Her soft, tanned skin glowed in the daylight. Her long golden her sparkled as the suns rays hit them, making it look even more beautiful than it already was.
"Earth to Kaoru!?"
I grabbed her hands, and bring her close to me.
She looks down and blushes even more, making her look even more adorable.
I put my finger underneath her chin, lifting her head up to look up into my eyes.
Her baby blue eyes sparkle with curiosity as she looks into my emerald ones.
Slowly, I begin to close the distance between us. Lips barely a centimeter apart, when...
"KAORU!"
I'm shaken back to reality as a loud, irritating voice of my pink eyed friend echoes through my ears.
"What the hell!? What!?" I glare at her as she rolls her eyes.
"Took you long enough to reply! I was beginning to wonder if you were even alive." The red head shook her head, sighing. "So?"
"So what?" I stop at the crosswalk and look both ways, making sure no cars were coming our way.
"So, what were you daydreaming about?" The cheerful little question made me gag for a second.
"Nothing." I scoff.
I was not going to tell her or anyone, for matter-of-fact, what I was daydreaming about. It was too embarrassing. And if I told the idiotic little superhero lover, she'd tell the whole world! I can't trust her to keep her big mouth shut. It was an impossible job for Momoko to do so.
"Oo, I know. Maybe you're think about eating a delicious piece of strawberry cake or maybe about the hottest superhero in the world." Her eyes were practically the shape of hearts when she said that.
I pretended to puke before turning down her crazy imagination. "Yeah, no. That's what you would daydream about. Not me."
"Well...you don't usually daydream about things like sports, food or the things I like." She made a hard thinking face. I thought she might explode if she didn't stop thinking so hard.
"Momoko, give it up. I wasn't daydreaming, okay? I'm just tired, that's all." I partially-lie, since I really want her to change the topic to something else to keep my mind off of 'the dream'.
Of course I'm tired. I barely slept last night after 'the dream'. Not once did it leave my mind as I tried to sleep. Even if I did doze off for a few seconds a the same dream would rewind itself and play again in my head.
I eventually gave up trying to sleep, especially since it was 6am and I had to get up and get ready for school.
Since I had 2 hours before I left for school I decided to go for a jog to clear my mind. Sure, it did help, for the time-being, at least. But the moment I starting walking towards school, my mind decided to wander off on it's own, as well.
I don't even remember Momoko joining me on the way to school. That's how deep in thought I was!
I swear, I'm losing my mind over something that is completely stupid.
"I got it!" I hear Momoko jump up cheerfully just as Miyako walks our way.
"Konichiwa, everyone!" She smiled her bubbly sweet smile.
I feel my cheeks burn up.
God! Why do I always get so flustered when I'm around her?...
"What do you got, Momoko?" She tilts her head slightly, giving her famous lost-puppy look.
God damn it!
She killing me with all that cuteness.
"Hey Miyako." The red-head and blonde exchanged hugs before Momoko answered her question. "You see, Kaoru here has been lost in her dreams. She daydreamed most of the way here, that she didn't even notice when I joined her."
I cursed underneath my breath, then turned my face away, to hide the blush on my face, and crossed my arms across my chest.
"What were you daydreaming about, Kauro?" She was probably looking at me with those big blue eyes of hers; I dare not turn around.
Instead I just answered with a, "Tch!"
I know, that probably was rude, but I don't need my crush to know that I was imagining us kissing...I've humiliated myself in front of her, plenty, already.
"Don't worry about her, Miyako! She won't tell me either. But I've figured it out!" The pink-eyed idiot watched at me from the corner of her eye, just as I did.
She had this very annoying smug look on her face, like she knew something I didn't.
Urgh! Can't she just leave me alone for once!?
"Oo! Good job, Momoko!" The bubbly blondie jumped up like a child, all cheerful-like.
Man, that makes her look cute...
Ah, shut up brain!
"What is Kauro daydreaming about, Momoko?"
"Hmm," she began, looking at me with one eye. There was an annoying smirk glued to her face.
I just respond with a, "Tch!" as turn my head away, again.
"Tell me, tell me! Pleeeassse, Momoko. I wanna know." The blue eyed, blonde jumped up and down even more, getting extremely anxious.
"Okay, okay!" Momoko laughed. "Kauro's been daydreaming about a 'special someone'. If you know what I mean."
My face heated up with embarrassment.
Fuck!
How did figure it out?
Was the look on my face making it very obvious?
God damn it, Momoko!
I'll hear Miyako reply all confused like. "What do you mean?"
Sigh...Miyako, you're so naïve.
"Well, it means Kauro's got the hots for someone." The red-head began to laugh.
"S-shut up, will ya!" I punch her on the arm, making her yelp in pain.
Miyako giggled sweetly, making me blush a little.
Luckily neither one noticed it.
"Aw, Kauro, it's okay if you have a crush. You can tell us. We're all friends here, after all. Are we not?" The girl tilt her head again, giving me that famous sugar sweet smile.
I awkwardly scratch the back of my head, trying to hide the blush. "I-I guess..."
"So, who is it?" A mischievous smile appears on the pink-eyed idiot.
"None of your business, tooth-decay." I scoff, walking away from her as we approach the school yard.
When the insult finally sinks through all that red hair, she yells at the top of her lungs and runs after me. "HEY! GET BACK HERE! YOU CAN'T CALL ME THAT, YOU RUDE IMBECILE!"
We both run around, yelling at the other, not realizing that we'd left Miyako alone to just watch us argue and run around.
As I stand, laughing, five feet away from Momoko, who was catching her breath, I look behind her to notice the cute blonde, just staring...at me.
W-what?
I'm probably imagining things...yeah.
I glance back at the red-head in front of me to make sure she hadn't caught her breath yet, before looking back at the blonde, standing in the middle of the courtyard.
Her eyes were half-lit, like they were lost in a daydream. They closed ever so slightly before blinking back open.
Those soft pink lips sat separately, ever so slightly, giving me the urge to just walk over there and kiss them slowly and passionately for a long while.
I quickly blinked back to reality as heard Momoko run towards me.
I was barely able to dodge her, before I quickly ran off again with the red-head right behind me.
Even though I was busy being chased by a crazy pink-eyed freak, my mind hadn't forgotten the image of the blue-eyed girl standing in the middle of the courtyard...staring at me.
