Link's head popped off his pillow. His was breathing rapidly and there was a cold sweat dripping down his back. His eyes were about to flood with tears, and he glanced around his room.
"Oh thank Nayru ... It was just a dream ..."
He fell back onto his bed and sighed in relief. He flopped onto the side where his stub remained. However, something felt a little off about his arm. He uncovered the blankets which revealed his arm. His eyes widened as he saw he had his arm back! It wasn't a stump anymore. Everything from his elbow down was still attached! He stared almost in disbelief And shakily took his hand to his other hand. It was there alright. Meaning everything that had happened must have been a dream!
He sprung up out of bed and rushed out to find Linebeck and tell him about what happened. He rushed through the hub of the boat, ruining Ciela's slumber on one of the tables. She shook and glanced at Link, who seemed to jump with excitement.
"Link" She yawned, "What're you doing? It's late ..."
"Where's Linebeck?" He asked.
"Up on the deck ... why?" He asked.
Without another word, Link rushed up to the deck and saw Linebeck gazing out into the sea. Link ran at him, hugging him from behind. Linebeck freaked out at first, and spun around seeing Link hugging him. He went from surprise to anger.
"Kid, what're you doing!?" He yelled.
"I've gotta tell you something!"
"Can't it wait until morning, kid ...?"
"It could, but I'm way to excited. I've gotta tell you."
Linebeck sighed, "Alright, let's hear it ..."
Link went on and on about how the Gyrog at his arm and how Linebeck died and everything else that had happened. The story had taken a good twenty minutes to tell.
"That must have been some dream, Link." Linebeck said crossing his arms.
"So, you're saying in your dream I actually acted nice towards you?" He asked.
Link nodded and Linebeck smiled. He stood up from his relaxed position and walked back towards the stairs leading into the ship.
"You should come inside too."
Link nodded and followed Linebeck into the ship. When he stepped inside, a sudden feeling of familiarness swept through his body. The hub of the ship was dark, and Link couldn't see anything.
"Linebeck? Ciela?"
Suddenly, streamers flew out at Link and at the table, he saw Linebeck, Ciela, Neri, and Leaf with a cake.
"Happy birthday Link." They exclaimed.
Link smiled, "This was also in my dream." And he walked over to enjoy the evening with his friends.
