(So, as it seems to be, you say you're gonna leave, then everyone rebounds, hmmm? Learned your lesson, I assume. But one more mean review and the fun train will end, bros. Yeah, that quick. Be careful...)
The next day was quite awkward for Heath and Abbey. Things were different.
Heath had gone to work earlier than Abbey that day - which was definitely a leap of faith for him - and Abbey was less grumpy than usual. It seemed like a good day, but, however, it was not. As many would have thought that things would be better, on the particular day, there would be a series of unfortunate events that would follow.
Abbey walked into her spacious office in the midst of pulling her hair up into a ponytail, frowning as she did so. Her thick white and blue hair was very disagreeable, as silky as it was. She used her free hand to shut the door behind her which revealed her assistant and love interest, Heath Burns. She rolled her eyes at him as she walked to her desk. He stood at the front of her desk as she sat down.
Abbey raised an eyebrow. "Why are you in office? Did not ask for you," she said jokingly.
"I, uh, wanted to talk to you, actually. I'm sorry about yesterday."
Abbey furrowed her eyebrows. Most saw what happened to the two would be sort of a good thing, but in Abbey's case, not so much. "Must talk to you after work. Is very... important."
Heath shrugged. "Okay, whatever you need. Anyways, I need to talk to you about my pay..."
"Get out, Burns."
Abbey gave herself a weak smile as she saw it was her lunch break. Her head was throbbing after all the paperwork she had been given to do, and Heath kept on trying to flirt with her all throughout the morning, which made it harder to focus. Sadly, the building she worked in was about as good as crap. There was no break room, but at least she had the biggest office, which allowed her to place a mini fridge inside of it. In this case, she was happy she had a mini fridge, but angry at herself for not packing some Tylenol in her purse for her endless migraines.
Abbey kneeled down to the height of the fridge and opened the door, grabbing a sandwich and water bottle, then closed it with a loud thump. Unlife could of been a hell of a lot better right now.
(I forgot to mention, I'm starting on another MH fic, so, yes, the updates will be slow. Please excuse me, I try to take time on coming up with fab ideas.)
