Hey people! I got my inspiration back! I blew up the block!(Writers block) I hope you like it. Kid's going to be doing some crazy stuff.

And so the race was on. Girls in hand and backpack on his back he flew over the tops of buildings. He couldn't be in this town anymore. In this soul. The feeling of being watched grew as he sped on. The need to go faster rose. The need to escape. The feeling of being chased by something you couldn't see. A nightmare. Adrenaline at a high. Muscles clenching up as the heart pounded. Fear and uneasiness seeping through the wall that he had built up so long ago. No fear. No fear. Fear was disgraceful and led to death in dire situations. But on the other hand it gave you a charge of strength with adrenaline if one could force themselves to act through the fear. Why couldn't this skateboard go any faster? His grip tightened even more so, which the girls easily noticed. The fear was easily detected as well. Seeming to seep into them as well and creating an uneasiness that wasn't theirs.

"Kid?" Liz asked.

She got no response as he kept facing forward. Willing himself not to look back.

"Kid, are you ok?"

No response as he counted slowly. Evenly. The words quiet and lost on the wind.

"Kid, we can always just turn back now. Just act like this never happened."

A spark of rebellion flashed for a moment before the fear overtook it once more. Turning back was not an option. It never was an option. Death believed him to be weak. Believed that he couldn't hold his own. Just a tool. Well he'd show him 'just a tool.' He'd show him what he could do. When he came back. If he came back it would be with proof that he could handle himself. That he could do things just fine on his own. So close. Just a little farther. Five. Fear grew. Four. Grip tightened. Three. The need to prove himself was getting covered by fear. Two. The urge to go back was overwhelming. One. Escape. He drew in a breath but kept going. Relief. Freedom. Muscles relaxing. The air was lighter outside. Easier to breath. Fear shrinking as the flame that wanted to prove worth grew easily outside the city. The feeling of being watched was gone. The need to run lessened. Everything was going to be ok. The girls stayed silent and they payed close attention to his mood. To what he might do next, but things were quiet as they sped off to who knew where.

Alarm bells were going off in the death Gods head. Something wasn't right. Where was he going? He closed his eyes though no one could really tell as he focused on pinpointing where Kid and the girls were and where they could possibly be going. It was hard at the speed they were going, but this was Kid and a Shinigami wasn't hard to detect. Kid was drawing ever closer to the border. The unseen border that separated the world from the city. A few more seconds passed and he was gone. No longer detectable. Panic.

Time skip of however long you'd like since it's boring before this and I didn't like what happened since it's boring.

The three walked through the dusty old town. The rising sun was always a magnificent sight. The skyline would start with the dull greys and bluish colors until it started its way up the sides of the buildings. It would just get brighter and brighter until everything glowed almost like it was set ablaze. The shattered glass shined and shimmered like embers on the dirt roads. Ever so slowly the light revealed the abandoned little town. The trees branches hung over it almost as if to shield it from threats that they were too late to protect it from. The sign that read the broken towns name swung and squeaked lazily from its slanted post. The population number rudely sanded out. Doors were off their hinges or barely hanging on. The rough beating they'd received evident they'd received evident in the deep shadowed gouges in the wood and the splintered holes. Chairs were toppled and broken in scattered heaps and pieces. Tables were mostly untouched. Personal possessions were broken and torn apart as if to torment or taunt the deceased. One lone doll made of cloth and worn stitching lay untouched in the street. The soft breezes playing absentmindedly with its little fabric dress. The button eyes gleamed in the light. The people didn't even spare them a glance not that Liz minded. Patty looked around curiously and Liz nervously as she kept her sister from wandering off. Kid on the other hand kept his gaze forward and was unnaturally unresponsive. The new attitude that he picked up before they left was still present from what Liz could tell.

"This is one weird place to spend a vacation." Patty spoke up. "I was hoping to do something fun."

"This vacation will be more traveling than anything."

Liz was relieved to hear him speak after so long, but at the same time the tone in his voice just proved to her that something was off. He sounded uncaring and his voice was slightly dull.

"Oh. Ok. So do we get to do fun stuff?"

"Depends on where we are and the situation."

"Oh. This place seems boring. Lets go somewhere more fun."

"Yes. Fun…"

The dirt road through the town did nothing to compliment the old wood buildings and harsh language that was passed around like it was any other word. Somewhere a baby could be heard crying though no one seemed to really care nor want to do anything about it. A dog barked and a brawl seemed to be taking place down the road. With the money being thrown into a pile it was easy to see people were betting on who would win. As they approached the edge of town they overheard an old man ranting to his possible daughter or underaged wife about the dead cattle. Cursing the dead for letting some monsters run around freely. Kid stopped as the man spouted something about demons. The man took notice of the three after a while much to Liz's dismay.

"What are you staring at?!"

"I was just interested in the topic of the… conversation was all. Got a problem with demons?"

"Yes! Yes I do! Keeps kill my farm hands and the cattle get caught in the middle of it!"

"I see. Lets see if I can't rid you of your little problem?"

"If you can get rid of those damn things then I'll put all three of you up free of charge."

"You have a deal."
