Amelia walked into her apartment, shutting the door and locking it behind her. She threw her keys into the tray on the kitchen table and threw her purse into her room. She walked into the living, room, and screamed.
Sitting on her sofa was a young, thin woman Amelia's age. The woman was quite beautiful, with short, black hair with bright red bangs swept to the side, and dark brown eyes. She wore a black latex suit that had to be designed by...no, it couldn't be.

"Who are you?" Amelia demanded.

"I am Circe. I work for your dad," the woman stood and extended her hand. Amelia took it to shake, and let out a little squeak and withdrew her hand, shaking it. Her hand was scalding. Amelia looked her up and down, realizing how tired and scared she was.

"Sorry," Circe apologized quietly, holding her hand in her hand. "I keep on forgetting I can do that,"

"How did you find out who I am?" Amelia asked, wetting down a washcloth with cold water and wrapping her hand with it.

"My boss-your dad-asked me to steal your files, and well as an incident that could possibly link you to him. I think he's trying to protect you," Circe answered, knowing she had to be forward.

"I see. Now, I assume you are the same Circe that worked for Van Kliess, then disappeared off the grid completely. The question is, how did Daddy acquire you, and why did your hand burn me?" Amelia asked, sitting in her softchair and motioning for Circe to sit back on the sofa.

"I came in contact with a chemical, and I developed...abilities. At the time, I was dating a man named B. He said he worked for people that could help. At first, I resisted. But as time went on, the more powerful I became. And I can't control them very well. So I agreed to meet with B's superior, Mann. After that, I was recruited," Circe sighed, and hung her head. "B and I broke up, in time. But not before he designed this latex suit for me. The gloves contains my powers, but..."

"But?" Amelia asked, realizing what was happening to Circe.

"It hurts. My hands start to...burn things. I get nasues and dizzy, and I know that I need to get out of my job and as far away from Mann and B and Boss as possible. No offense," Circe began to ramble, regretting mentioning Amelia's dad.

"It's no worry. I left home for a reason. Now, I need for you to take off those gloves and hand them to me," Amelia reached for the gloves, and Circe pulled back her hands sharply. "Circe, the only way I can help you is if the gloves come off. Literally,"

Circe hesitated, then complied, handing her security blanket over to a stranger.

"Good. Now, you're sleeping here for awhile. I have tomorrow off, we'll go get your stuff then. The best way to do this is cold turkey. I'll do what I can to keep you away from Mann and B," Amelia decided, knowing this is how it had to happen.

"I want to help," Circe decided after a moment of silence. "At Providence, I mean. I can help. I know what their plan is,"

"We'll go in Monday," Amelia said after a moment. "Doctor Holiday will know what to do,"

Holiday sat in the lab, going over different possible chemical combinations. She heard the door open, and looked up to see Amelia standing there.

"Good morning, Amelia," Holiday smiled as the intern just stood there.

"Good morning, Doctor," Amelia smiled back. "I've brought someone with me. Someone that wants to help, and needs help,"

"Alright, let them in," Holiday agreed, nodding.

To Holiday's surprise, it was Circe that walked in the doors. Sure, she'd changed quite a bit. She'd cut her hair short and dyed her bangs red, and she was wearing a black leather jacket, crimson tank top, and dark wash distressed jeans with combat boots.

"Circe," Holiday greeted, trying to process the girl's sudden appearance.

"Hi," Circe greeted back, giving a small smile.

"Circe has been working with the group that's been controlling the EZomb crisis, but she wants to help us," Amelia explained, knowing that Holiday's interest was growing.

"I was asked to steal files recently. They were Amelia's, as well as an incident concerning them three years ago," Circe explained. "I'm tired of doing this. I don't know much, but I know I can be of assistance,"

"Why did the want Amelia's files?" Holiday asked.

"They're interested in her. They wanted her to be my parter," Circe lied to Holiday, as planned.

"I see. Well, welcome aboard," Holiday smiled.

"Circe?" came the sound of Rex's clearly upset voice.

Six walked into Calan's office, and sat down.

"Hey, Six, what can I do for you?" Calan asked, putting down paperwork and folding his hands together.

"I was wondering about your injury," Six answered.

"Minimal. I got knocked out on accident during the evacuation during our little incident. It's really not a big deal, even though that's the exact opposite of what Rebecca thinks," Calan smiled, enjoying the small talk.

"Speaking of Rebecca, how is she doing? With the wedding, especially?" Six pried, wanting to know everything he could about a stupid little ceremony.

"She's good. We've decided to plan everything, and have a small ceremony this December," Calan answered, slightly relishing the thought of marrying 'Six's girl' as Rebecca was called for so long.

"Oh? So you have a date?" Six asked, becoming jealous, but also morbidly curious.

Suddenly, Rex came running in, clearly distraught.

"Circe's here,"

A/N: Turns out it takes longer to edit these things than I always expect. You'd think I'd learn. Anyway, Circe's on the good guy's side...or is she? And how will Rex handle this? Oh, the angst! I hope ya'll are enjoying this and please forgive me for last week, I didn't really realize how short it was. This one is kinda short too, but it's hard to find breaks to section off chapters. Anyway, enjoy your week, and I'll see you all next Saturday.
