Circe sat on Rex's couch in the living room, reading a collection of haiku poems by her favorite poet. She tended to get very bored when Rex wasn't home, but it was not safe for her to get a job quite yet. She considered dying her hair blonde and getting a nose job, but decided not to. After, the Boss would find her eventually.
She heard a knock on the door and froze. No one was supposed to know she was here. She waited for a second knock that never came. There was no further attempt to get the attention of anyone inside the apartment. She waited for a couple minutes before silently making her way no the bedroom. She reached into the bag she brought with her and pulled her Glock. She loaded it and slowly crossed back to the living room, walking up to the front door. She kept the gun behind her and carefully opened the door. There wasn't a soul in the hallway. Circe almost ignored it before she saw the long box wrapped in green paper with the silver bow.
Circe picked it up and put it on the coffee table. She removed a knife from the kitchen and cautiously opened the box. Laying inside was a red rose with the petals dipped in black paint with a dead snake wrapped around the stem.
B knew where she was.

Amelia sat in the lab, going over the notes Holiday made her work on. She was glad Holiday hadn't started saying up ridiculously late working yet; something told her Calan had something to do with that. She was especially glad Holiday was having her work on such important notes, even though it made her feel even worse about lying. But telling Holiday the truth would've endangered everyone at Providence, especially Holiday and Calan.
Amelia had known about the moved wedding. In fact, she had receive an email with an invitation to the wedding. By the design, she was sure Beverly had made them. In fact, it wouldn't surprise her if Beverly made all the wedding plans so that way the wedding could take place so soon.
Amelia finished her paperwork and filed them away. The next step was making a chemical solution that could destroy the structure of the virus, a cure. Holiday would make those decisions when she got off of her lunch break. This crisis would be met head on with the force of Providence.
Amelia's phone began to ring. She pulled it out of her lab coat pocket, surprised to see it was Circe calling.

"Hello," Amelia answered.

"Amelia, it's Circe. Look, this morning I had a special delivery from B," Circe said in hushed tones. "It was his trademarked dead snake-and-rose gimmick. The rose was red and dipped in black paint. Kinda reminded me of my hair,"

"Jesus," Amelia gasped underneath her breath. "Where are you staying?"

"An old friend's apartment. The only time I've been out is to get my things from my old apartment, and I made sure no one followed me here," Circe answered.

"What are you doing right now?" Amelia asked.

"Sitting in the living room with my gun. There hasn't been any other attempt, but he only does this when things are about to get big," Circe said. "It's taken me forever to feel comfortable making this call,"

"Alright. Sit tight, and call me if anything else happens. Don't leave your friend's apartment, and keep your weapon close," Amelia said before hanging up. She realized she had no choice; it was time for her to contact her father.

A/N: Wow it is taking longer than expected to post. I really want to apologize. I really do try to write, but between make-up work and social life and hospitals, it is literally so hard. I hate high school. But, it's nice that I have a few days off, so I'm going to try to catch up. There will be a small hiatus between Crisis and Critical so I can work on getting a nice couple-chapter lead. Anyway, I'm getting really excited for Critical. Hopefully I can get the final chapters of this story up this weekend, but I make no promises.

Love Always,
Kate
