It was barely dawn and Lucy knew that it was too early for anyone sane to be up. Her eyes were shut and she knew she had roughly five to six hours before she had to get up but she also knew that it would be impossible for her to get some sleep now. At month five, the poor blonde was forced to carry some kind of stuntman in her stomach as her little boy decided he was going to become one. Kicking and moving so much—it drove her insane.

Stretching her limps, Lucy groaned and moaned as whimpers flew out of her lips. She pressed her face against the soft fabric of the blankets as she gripped the sheets tightly, silently pleading her little boy to stop with his stunting just for a couple hours but it never stopped.

He was probably going to turn out as stubborn as his father.

"Even in your sleep you're trying to seduce me. Could have just woke me up, you know I'm always up for sex with you, love."

Lucy felt a spine-tingling shiver run down her spine as she heard the deep husky voice whisper in her ear, her eyes darting to see her husband grinning up at her.

"I wasn't trying to turn you on, you asshole. Your child won't stop kicking and tossing." She whined as she grabbed the front of his shirt and moved one of her hand to get lost in the sea of pink locks. Natsu grabbed her hand that was clutching his shirt and held it gently, kissing the palm of her hand. "Funny how every time he does something to irritate you, he's immediately mine and not ours." He mused making Lucy huff in annoyance. "Well, I certainly didn't fertilize my own eggs!"

"Darling, if you didn't have any eggs, my swimmers would have nothing to fertilize therefore resulting in the non-existence of our child."

"Shut up, Natsu. I hate when you talk smart to me," the blonde hissed as she tried lying on her back as Natsu held her against his warm body. "I try, Luce, I try."

"I hate you. I really, really, really do. With a dear passion and I hope you fall out of bed when you get out of it later."

"Is that so? Hm, maybe then you can tell everyone how I finally fell for you." He said as a full-on grin spread across his features making Lucy groan and hit him with her pillow. "Bastard! What an asshole of a husband—I don't know why I even married such a dick. Spawn of fucking Satan, I tell you!"

Natsu wasn't even fazed by her words as he was now used to all the demonic hormones she possessed while pregnant.

"You married me because you love me."

"No, I married you because you got me pregnant before our original wedding date, you fucktard." She hissed making him laugh. "Charming! What lovely words are spilling out of my wife's mouth today! I truly am flattered!" He gushed, a playful glint in his dark eyes making Lucy huff and shoot him a look.

The male just simply wrapped his arms around the woman and held her closer. "You know I love you, Lucy. C'mon, little Iggy just wants to have a little fun."

"Yeah well, tell her to pipe down 'cause it's too early for his whatnot."

"He's excited to come out." He reasoned but Lucy only scoffed. "If I was him, I rather just stay inside my mother forever because the real world is shit."

"Don't say that, Luce. You know you also want to see our darling boy," he cooed as he placed his large warm hand on her swollen stomach making Lucy pout and huff in frustration. Cupping the face of her husband, she leaned in and pressed a soft kiss against his lips. "Come here, Nats."

"Oh lord, you called me Nats. What is it that you want now?" The pink-haired male asked as he pulled away from the kiss. Lucy merely giggled and struggled to sit up as her bloated stomach made it hard for her to sit. "I'm craving something."

"Babe, its like, not even four."

"I'm craving something." She repeated, ignoring his whine as Natsu became silently and stared at the back of his wife. Watching how she rubbed her stomach, she hummed. "I want... peanut butter."

"We have peanut butter in the—"

"Peanut butter ice-cream. With fudge on top but it's gotta be hot fudge or it'll ruin the entire thing. I want gummy worms on top and oh, Oreos! Caramel would be nice and fresh fruit. Those little popper-thingy-majigs too. I want that. A lot of it."

"Lucy, it's not even four in the morning. How do you expect me to—?"

"Nats," she cooed cutely making Natsu become still and stare at his wife for a good moment. "please don't make me repeat myself."

"Lucy I—"

"NATS."

Groaning, the male stood up as he grabbed his phone and wallet to stuff it in his shorts pocket. Ruffling his messy hair, he pushed his bangs out of his eyes to make his way to the other side of the bed to stand in front of her. Leaning down, he planted a soft kiss on top of her head. "I'll be back soon so don't do anything stupid and stay in bed, alright?"

"Fine. Hurry though, okay? I hate being home alone."

"Want me to call Levy over or Erza to keep you company?"

"No, it's fine. Hurry soon, okay?"

Nodding at his wife, he left the lovely comfortable home to go find some peanut-butter strawberry ice-cream or whatever his wife was craving at the moment. If he was lucky enough to even find a store that was open right now.

When he finally came home, it was almost five fifteen in the morning and he was restless. There were no frozen-yogurt shops open or any kind of stores open at that! The best he could do was probably CVS or Wal-Mart or even a gas-station. And of course he went to all three because his precious pregnant wife was craving something. It was a pain in the ass and he had to resort to buying multiple things at the gas-station since there weren't any pre-made things like those.

"Hey, Lucy, I'm back!" He called back as he noticed how the television was running in the living room, walking on over to where his wife was as he held the plastic bags. When he approached, he was surprised to see it wasn't Lucy but instead, his idiotic stripper of a friend, Gray asleep on his couch with his television running.

Scowling, he used his foot to nudge the sleeping male. "Hey, bastard, where the fuck do you think you're sleeping."

"S'right, my home." He mumbled, obviously drunk as Natsu sighed and placed the plastic bags on the coffee table to shake the male awake. "Wake up, fucktard."

"What the hell, flame-spit?" He groaned as he shifted slightly and cracked one eye open to eye the pink-haired male who looked tired. "What are you doing?"

"That should be my line. This is my house, fucker."

"So what? I come here all the time," he murmured as he wrapped his arms around his bare chest while he smuggled into the couch. "anyways, Lucy let me in."

"She did?" Natsu asked in surprise as he stood up to go find Lucy but he already saw her trying to sneak away with the plastic bags that he brought him. Huffing, he crossed his arms across his chest and cleared his throat making her freeze and turn around to smile sheepishly at him. He didn't buy it as he quirked a brow and pointed at his best friend slash rival. "Luce, what is he doing here?"

"Well, uh, somebody was knocking on the door and I couldn't just let the person outside—"

"Lucy, I told you not to open doors when somebody knocks! Especially if somebody is knocking on the door at four in the morning!"

"I just thought—"

"No Lucy, no. Next time, don't do it okay? Because what if it wasn't Gray or somebody we knew and they hurt you and Igneel? I would have gone berserk!" He shouted as he threw his hands in the air making Lucy frown and her bottom lip push outwards as she pouted. She dropped her arms to her side limply and nodded, looking at her husband with a glossy look. "I—I'm sorry... I just—"

"Jesus Christ, don't cry, now." He said in a panic as he went over to where she was to wrap one of his arms around her waist while the other one whipped the salty tear drops away. "Please? I didn't mean to yell at you... I was just worried... thank god it was only Gray, right?"

Silently nodding, she looked up at her husband who was smiling softly down at her. "Did you buy everything?"

"Yeah, I did. It was a mission to find all these things because nothing is open right now..."

"I'm sorry I made you go out. I could have waited till morning," she cooed making him roll his eyes since he knew that was major bullshit.

When Lucy was hungry or craving something, she needs it as soon as possible and if not, she gets really moody and emotional he can't handle it. Then when he does get it for her, she gets emotional once more about how she was such a bossy person and she could have waited for a better time and then she cries and then he cries too because at that point, it's just a never ending cycle.

But he adjusted to it very quickly and he knows what to keep in the house and how to handle her craving.

Lisanna helped him along the way, as well.

"Baby, do you want some, too?" Lucy asked as she held the spoon out towards the male who sighed and shook his head, standing next to his wife who got her share. "Are you sure?"

"Yeah, I'm just going to sleep after I fix you this."

"Ah, do you have work?"

"Yeah," he murmured, running his hand through his already messy locks. "though, it's just going to be like, an orientation thing."

"At the firehouse?"

"Mmm." He forced out a yawn as he stretched, leaning against the counter as he watched Lucy sprinkle her ice-cream with the toppings he brought. "Since I'm just a trainee. They're just going to show me around and hopefully one day I could be on the front lines or something." He gave a wide grin as Lucy licked her spoon, smiling back widely.

"That'll be great, Natsu! What about Gray?" The blonde asked as she looked over at their couch to see Gray snoozing, their television still running as the light laminated his body figure. "Is he going with you?"

"I'm not sure."

"Isn't Gray a policeman? Or, training to become one?"

"Yeah, he is. Gajeel and he are both training but I don't know what their schedule is or whatever. They'll figure something out," the male waved them off as he turned back around and looked down at the counter. "are you done?"

"Mhmm!" The blonde nodded happily as she had the metal spoon between her lips, helping Natsu put the things away where they normally would be in.

Once done, Natsu guided Lucy back to their room, turning the television off while at it.

"Hey, Natsu?" Lucy spoke once they were in their room, the blonde sitting down on her side as Natsu sat on his side, a yawn coming out of his lips. "Why'd you decided to be a fireman?" She asked making him shrug and get comfortable in his spot as he placed another pillow on top of Lucy's to allow her to lean back and be comfortable. "You do know!"

"Well I like fire. And I like helping people—simple."

"So? You could have been a gangster! I can see you as one or—oh! Maybe a policeman like Gray, side by side! Maybe you could have been a business man with your suit and tie—I love suit and tie Natsu!"

"Alright, baby, I think you need to sleep." Natsu chuckled as he placed his hand on her swollen stomach, brushing his thumb against her stomach. "You and Igneel need rest."

"But I'm not even finished with my ice-cream!"

"You can always finish it tomorrow."

"Then it'll melt!"

"Then hurry and finish it so we can sleep."

"No, I think I'll finish it tomorrow."

Feeling irritation bubble up inside him, the male cursed under his breath as Lucy placed her cup of ice-cream right on top of her drawer, turning the lights off to gently and slowly scoot so she could lie down properly. With Natsu helping, the blonde lied on her side using her husband's arm as a pillow.

"Do you think... I'll be a good mother, Natsu?"

"I don't think," he said as he brushed his knuckles on his wife's cheek as his other hand was on her warm tummy. "I know you'll be a good mother."

"Remember, Lisanna, Lucy needs to rest a lot and when her usual naps are between two to four. Sometimes five to seven when she's really tired. Don't let her do anything stupid and reckless and she can eat whatever she can, really. Be careful of her hormones and especially, do not allow her out of your sight."

"Yeah, yeah—I know what to do, Natsu. I was pregnant before, remember?" The white-haired female rolled her eyes as Natsu pulled his shoes on, getting ready to head out. "You don't need to worry at all."

"Knowing you, I do."

"I'LL HAVE YOU KNOW—"

"Yeah, yeah—bye, baby girl. Take care of yourself and Igneel and I'll be home right before you know it, alright?" The pink-haired male dismissed his childhood friend as he wrapped an arm around his wife's waist to plant a quick sweet kiss on her temple. "And please watch yourself. Stay with Lisanna at all times, am I clear?"

"Yes, yes." The blonde rolled her eyes as she placed her hand on his shoulder and dusted the invisible dust away. "Have a nice and safe day, Natsu."

Sharing a quick kiss, Natsu was on his way out of the house and out of the area in his car, leaving his two favorite girls in his home, alone.

"Geez! The nerve that guy has!" Lisanna cried out once he was gone, stomping her feet on the ground in annoyance as Lucy giggled slightly. "I was pregnant before too, bastard! I know what to do and don't treat me like I'm so kind of teenager babysitter! I'm a mother, goddamn it!"

"Don't cruse and be angry at a man who's already gone, Lisanna." Lucy giggled as she placed her free hand on her friend's shoulder. "Come on, let's go watch a movie and eat some ice-cream! Natsu brought some good flavors earlier today!"

"Earlier today..? But... it's only nine—"

"Oh, I made him go out when it was around three? Maybe four in the morning? Ah, I don't know but he brought some home!" Lucy cried out in joy as she went back inside her house making Lisanna sigh and shake her head, smiling softly.

"Geez... you have it hard, don't you, Natsu?"

"Alright men! That's enough for now, its lunch time!" The instructor shouted as everyone in the firehouse paused with whatever they were doing. "If you're going out, you have exactly an hour to do so! If you're not back by then—good luck." He said before leaving allowing the trainees to all sigh and groan, most of them sitting down to rest.

Natsu, who just finished putting out a fire, sighed from exhaustion as he pulled his uniform out and grabbed his jacket to make his way across the street to the police station where he knew Gray and Gajeel were at.

Coming across the station, he opened the door to be greeted with a box of fresh donuts shoved in his face.

"I knew you would be coming—please, enjoy some."

"T—thanks?" Natsu squeaked, surprised at his actions as he took two glazed donuts in his hands before walking away slowly from the policeman who smiled and waved goodbye. The fireman trainee made his way to the back where he knew the trainees were, trying to shake the feeling off the guy from earlier as he approached his two closest friends.

"Hey dicks, wanna grab some lunch with me?"

"Yeah, we just finished." Gray answered in short pants of breath as Gajeel nodded in head, sweat pouring down his forehead.

And for once, his long hair was pushed back into a low pony-tail, something the boys haven't seen since high school.

"How's it going for you?"

"It's going well, I guess. Pretty tiring and hot but it's fine—"Natsu started to say but stopped when he felt his phone start to go off in his pocket. He fumbled slightly to bring it out but when he realized that Lisanna was calling him, his heart dropped to his stomach.

"Hello? Lisanna? Is everything okay?" He asked, concern lacing in-between his words as he heard Lisanna panting from the other line. "Lisanna?!"

"Natsu, I think... I think something is wrong with Lucy."

"Something's wrong with Lucy?! What do you mean something is wrong?! What's wrong?!" He shouted into the phone as Gray and Gajeel both turned to look at him, their eyes wide as they wondered if something was wrong with the baby. "Lisanna!"

"She... she..."

"She what?!"

"She... SHE SAID SHE PERFERS VANILLA OVER CHOCOLATE AND I—"

"DON'T FUCK AROUND LIKE THAT!" The male screamed as he slammed his phone down onto the hard cold ground as anger boiled deep inside as Gray and Gajeel both jumped in surprise. "You scared me, damn it!" He shouted to nobody in particular since by now his phone was a cracked mess, broken inside and out.

"You're never babysitting Lucy ever again, Lis."

"I promise I won't ever do it again, please, don't say that! Please don't say that! I promise I won't do it again and I swear—I swear we won't fool around like that, anymore! Natsuu!"

"Just shut up and go home, Lis!" The male growled as he tried pushing his friend out the door but her grip around the frame was strong. With him pushing and Laxus pulling, he was sure she would have been already out and gone by now but she was super strong and frantic. And the waterworks were making his heart throb painfully.

"Natsu, please! Lucy and I are made for each other! You can't separate us like this!"

"I don't care! I won't allow it! You fucked around with me all day with those prank calls!" He shouted as he pushed her from her head backwards but she didn't budge. "Just get out of here!"

"Why you gotta be so rude?" The white-haired beauty sang making him curse and growl while Lucy was right behind them, watching with a worried expression. "Don't you know I'm human, too?"

"Shut up!"

"N—Natsu... I don't think it's appropriate to kick Lisanna out like this. It was just a joke."

"Lucy, stay out of this. I can't allow Lisanna to babysit you anymore because she's reckless and she's going to be the death of me one day." He hissed, whipping his head around to throw daggers her way making her cry out and whine like she always did. "Go home!"

"Please don't treat me like I'm a baby that needs a sitter," Lucy sighed, frustration lace in-between her words as she crossed her arms and watched the trio scream, shout, and whine. It made her head throb painfully and she knew where Natsu was going at with this but this was ridiculous at five in the afternoon where people were still roaming the streets.

People were probably thinking somebody was getting murdered.

"Please!"

"Lisanna, I swear, if you don't leave right now I won't even allow you to see Igneel." Natsu hissed, his large body frame towering over the short-haired female who huffed and shot him a look.

"You can't do that!"

"I am his father and I will allow it!"

"You can't pull that trick on me, mister! Lucy is my friend, too! I don't call all the way from Edolas to see you! I come to see her!" Lisanna shouted as she pointed at Lucy who stood behind Natsu the entire time, a sheepish smile on her face. Natsu growled and finally shot Laxus a knowing look as he finally bent down and threw the female over his shoulder within a flash.

"Put me down! Natsu Dragneel, Laxus Dreyer! I will murder you two, I swear!"

"Have a safe trip back, goodbye!" Natsu said happily as he threw his friend into the car, strapping her down as Laxus quickly jumped in and said his goodbye before driving away.

Finally having the peace and quiet back, the fireman sighed loudly in exhaustion.

"Finally! She is so clingy sometimes..." He sighed, walking back over to where his wife was standing, smiling softly towards her as Lucy smiled back. He came over and wrapped his arm around her, kissing her softly on the forehead. "Luce, I am so glad you're okay."

"Why wouldn't I be?" She scoffed making him roll his eyes and pull her indoors where it was safe and cool. "Did you think Lisanna would let me get hurt?"

"Well—"

"Believe it or not, Lisanna knows how to control me. Unlike you," she stuck her tongue out towards him making him gawk and watch her walk away leaving him standing there in shock.

He quickly recovered and ran over to where she was, the look of worry crossing his features.

"B—but I am better than her, right? Right?"

Smirking softly, the blonde shrugged and went on her merry way.

"In my opinion... Lisanna is better."

As if those words were his breaking point, the male felt his heart stop inside his chest and drop all the way down to the pits of his stomach where it withered slowly and painfully.

"That's it! Lisanna is so not invited over here, anymore!"
