June, Saga. Midnight; Karin

"I don't trust that kid."

Karin, feeling bored as usual, rolled her eyes at Hidan's whining, antic behavior, "You don't trust anybody. Let's leave it at that."

Hidan stopped walking towards the staircase and glanced down at Karin. Feeling the stare of her teammate, Karin huffed, "What?"

"You…" Hidan silently muttered, not finishing his sentence. Feeling more annoyed than ever, Karin stomps her foot, allowing Hidan to raise a brow at her.

"Don't be sympathetic to me just because I know my teammates well!" Karin glared, then looking away, puckered her lips.

"Damn." Hidan curses under his breath, "You're not cute at all."

"Yah!" Karin widens her eyes at him, snapping her head to the front, "Who wants to be cute in front of you?"

Hidan snickered then, earning a tick mark on the side of Karin's forehead. Waving a hand in dismissal, Hidan carried on with his objection towards the new guy, Rave, as they ascended the stairs. Although they had just met him, Rave gave off a suspicious impression on both Hidan and Karin but Karin had stuck more to the subject of mysterious.

"Since Itachi is gone now, he left both of us in charge." Hidan spoke, after a moment of silence.

Karin hummed in agreement, tired of today, as they made it to the top. "Unless one of us is assigned to go on a long term mission."

Hidan stopped short before his door, making Karin bump into his back. She growled in annoyance as he turned his head and glanced down at her, snickering, "I wouldn't doubt your mind set; especially since that new guy is staying for the remaining of Dei's suspension."

Devastated at her teammate's assumption about her having feelings for Rave, she kicked him and slammed him into his door before walking to her own; her face flushed with false accusation. "Better watch that tongue of yours if you want to keep it."

"Oh," Hidan laughed mockingly, "A threat. What are you going to do, slice my tongue like that gay leader— what's hiss name?"

Hidan laughed again, this time at his joke which Karin took lightly because it wasn't everyday she'd hear her teammate make an accurate joke. But still, even so, Karin narrowed her eyes and crumbled her hand into a fist. "If you have better things to do than to continue making my life miserable, I suggest you come up with a better strategy of actually acting like a secondary leader. Or if you do not consent to this temporary position, I might as well send my regards to Itachi and let—"

She hadn't had the privilege to finish her threat when Hidan had smoothly strode to her side to her oblivion and clasped her throat with his hand, tightening it without a care in the world. Feeling triumph overpower her, Karin chuckles out a gasp as Hidan curses her with deep hatred.

"You underestimated me." He whispers in her ear, a feeling of déjà vu overcoming his senses.

Karin breathes little breath, just as she was taught in battle mode. Grabbing a hold of his wrist that locks her throat with both hands, she slowly allows her sight to trail upwards and into his dark mauve eyes. "No," She coughs out sincerely, and smiles with a twist.

She swings her leg back and brings it forward. "You underestimated me."

Hidan sucks in a breath and at the same time, drops her as if she was merely a sack of potatoes. Cursing aloud, he glowers at her as she gets up, touching her neck, massaging her throat and breathing freely now.

Feeling for her door knob, Karin makes an entrance inside her bedroom and doesn't turn around to bid her night to Hidan. "See you in the morning."

Half an hour before midnight, Sakura

It was cold in the room as usual but this time, Sakura swears someone upstairs must have tampered with the thermos just to make a point across. Shivering in her crouched state, she held in the aching in her stomach that whined for food just a few minutes before the door had opened. Although she was used to the door wrenching open, she hadn't expected silent foot falls coming towards her and a voice she didn't recognize ask for her name.

'Should I have told him?' Sakura thinks to herself, unsure as the presence of Tobi made a surprise to both individuals. Sakura opens her half lidded eyes and peers up at the bubbly adult who skipped over to her in a childish manner.

Feeling the tiny hairs rise on her arms, Sakura recoils backwards and stays in her position as Tobi takes the initiative to stoop down and take Sakura's fisted hands into his own. "Aw, what cold hands you have!"

Of course her hands were cold, she stifled a tiring chuckle. Did Tobi forget about Sasori's deal with her? If she remained alive after the Heretic's fork trial, there wouldn't be any tortures the day after.

Despite having a whole day to rest for, Sakura was a bit too curious for her own good. Why was Sasori being somewhat lenient towards her last night? She had thought terrorists were supposed to be harsh to their captives day and night— that was from what she remembered on the news, hearing stories of those who were once hostages and survived. Maybe someday she will be one of those survivors and she will get to tell her side of the story, that is, if she can endure every torture they make her go through with.

"Tobi will warm your hands!" Suddenly, Sakura feels dry breath and a scrape of chapped skin grazing her hands. Sakura blinks, feeling numb as Tobi rubs her hands with his own, trying to warm them as much as he can. Pursing her lips, her throat catches as the distant letters of 'thank you' form in her head. Instead, her eyes flicker past Tobi's face, where darkness engulfed most of the room except for a dim light from outside lit its way underneath the door left ajar and a shadow slithered across the flooring.

She had almost forgotten a new presence was still in the room as she lifted her gaze but couldn't see the intruder's face.

"His name is Raven," Tobi spouted, surprising Sakura with new knowledge. She averts her eyes back to Tobi's as he grins happily, "the newest edition to the team. Careful not to get too close to him, he may bite."

May, Friday, Saga. One night ago, Itachi

Pulling the strap on his packsack, Itachi hauls it off his bed and slings it over his shoulder and picks up a couple of files and reports regarding Deidara's previous incident. Pressing his lips in a firm line, he turns on his heels and strides to his door before exiting and locking it behind him. Pocketing the small key, he turns in the narrow corridor and faces Tobi's room.

It was usually quiet in the hall when Itachi makes his way to and from his room but what made it more unusual was the fact that the room from across his was oddly soundless. No shower running, or thumping sounds of jumping and dancing nor the giggles or the hums that Tobi would make wherever and whenever.

But Itachi knew better.

"What is it, Tobi?" Itachi spoke, clicking his tongue against the roof of his cavern.

A small shuffle was heard by Itachi's keen ears from within Tobi's room. His door cracked opened slightly, one eye peeked out as he muttered something about Sakura. Not paying attention to what Tobi's rambles about the agent, Itachi sighs and turn to go.

"What will become of her once you're gone?" Tobi asks, halting Itachi from taking a step towards the staircase.

Clenching his teeth together, Itachi slowly exhales and closes his eyes, "She's not my concern at the moment."

Silence protruded between the two as Tobi hummed quietly to his self, thinking of what else he had to say before Itachi went. Itachi gathers his footing and begins to walk to the staircase again when he hears Tobi's door open fully but his voice remains within the walls. "Tobi can take care of her— Tobi is good with children."

Pffst. (1)

Itachi stills, the sides of his lips twitching upwards. Turning forty five degrees to his left, Itachi over thinks what he'll say and instead, doesn't. Although Itachi was apart of the Akatsuki family, Tobi just made it strangely, more exciting. He wasn't sure why yet since Tobi was a bipolar person, or so says Karin.

"I leave Karin in charge." Itachi speaks, dumping Tobi's hope down the toilet.

"Oh." Tobi's voice welted with disappointment.

Itachi lowers his eyes to the bottom of the steps as he takes his first step down, "I will leave Hidan in charge also."

No noise was made from Tobi as Itachi continued down the steps, now in ear shot of Karin and Hidan's babbles over dinner. They didn't know of Itachi's extended plans nor how he was called out by Obito with an important mission to assist Konan, neither did the red-headed Sasori knew of what was actually going, even though he was connected in the vines of Obito's plot. Reaching the flooring of the first floor, Itachi speaks once more without turning around, "And you… you'll be my eyes."

Walking to the door, he didn't need to hear Tobi's response because he already knew that Tobi— no matter how childish he may be, would accept anything given to him, either it's boring or non-important. But this, what he commanded of Tobi was really important because it only meant that if something happened to the agent in his absence, it will be his responsibility and Uchihas were known for their prides.

He opened the door and stepped out, leaving the door slightly closed as a small breeze swept between the door and the corridor. He'll be fine, that Tobi.

June, Saga. Flashback, one night ago- midnight.

"I told you it wasn't me!" Karin sneered, throwing a dirty glare at Hidan who rolled his eyes at her boastings. "And still, you would side with him!"

Hidan's upper cheekbone twitched at Karin's accusations towards him. Wasn't he the one who had stood up for her when Itachi accused her of raping the girl? Now that she's free of the guilt, she's pestering him about not believing her in the first place— which by the way, he had no idea how their talk of dinner lead to the hard core agent downstairs? Although, he had to give it to the agent who lasted this long; she must be very extraordinary to endure their individual tortures they had casted upon her.

"Stupid Hidan," Karin mumbles under her breath as she grabs her fork and digs it into her meat. "At least Tobi—"

Hidan slams his palms down on the table, making the plates on top clatter, startling Karin as she bites her tongue during her chewing. Flinching at the pain, Karin shoots a glare at Hidan who growls in response. "Do not compare me to that childish boy!"

Karin's face turns white as she witness Hidan's hands grounds into fists, his eyes darkening as the light above them flickers from use. Swallowing the bits of meat in her mouth, Karin sets her fork down and mutters a sarcastic apology.

Huffing at her pathetic excuse of logic, Hidan snaps, swiping his hand across the tabletop which pushed their plates off the table and clattered to the ground. Karin, eyes widen at the mess, jumps up and pushes Hidan's shoulder in response of her vexation. "Are you crazy? Look at the mess, think of how many children are starving because you—"

Hidan scoffs and glares at her with scrutinizing eyes, "Speak for your self, Miss terrorist!"

Karin clamps her mouth shut as her next words died quickly. She felt her cheeks burn with embarrassment at her wrong choice of logic. "Uh, er," She fumbles with her words, "at least I get the job done! Unlike you, if it wasn't for you back at Yokohama, we could have finished quicker!"

Hidan straightens up; his large form towering dangerously over Karin who suddenly grabs the fork that scattered on top of the table.

"Don't test me, Karin." He spat, breathing heavily now as his anger rushed forward, his hand swiping towards Karin's fork. She pulled back, siding and swung her arm and grazed the pointed ends of the fork up his forearm to his ulna. Shouting and cursing all the same, Hidan pulled back, his other arm reflexes, punching the side of Karin's face.

The force pushes her back to her chair, toppling over it and she falls to the ground with a groan to her injuries. Hidan steps towards her, crouching at her level, his hand reaching for her throat.

"What the world, Hidan!" Karin yells, scooting back, her head jerking away from Hidan's large hands. But she was at a disadvantage, she knew. Smacking his outstretched hand away from her face, she glared at him.

"That hurt, bi—" Hidan growled, directing his anger at his limp arm at his side, but was cut off as a new voice entered the room.

"That's enough you two." The figure stood in the shadows of the corridor, his eyes flashing at the mess before him.

Karin swallows hard as her eyes averts from Hidan's to the owner of the voice, Sasori, "You're back late."

Sasori steps into the room shaking his head as he shuffles around the scattered foods, plates and utensils. "A lot has happened in my absence, I see."

Karin blinks, "Obviously. If you were back sooner, you would have gotten the gist of the situation—"

Hidan drops his outstretched hand; tired of shouting and feels slightly relieved he didn't do anything stupid. Sasori chuckles at Karin's idiocy and rolls his eyes at her, the tone in his voice held a tinge of obvious in it, "Your situation right now sums enough."

The two on the ground stills at Sasori's words. Karin's eyes flew back up to Hidan's, his dark eyes flashing in realization at their state, their position. Hidan hesitated to move back as he watched the skin color of Karin's face flush from pale to red. Hidan felt his nose sting and quickly moved away from her, clearly annoyed at Sasori's claim. "This girl has no sex appeal."

"EXCUSE YOU?" Karin's embarrassment turns into anger, her eyes blazing from being offended. She shoots a finger at Hidan, "First of all, who asked for your opinion? And second, how dare you, you— you impertinent dolt!"

The two men sweat drops at Karin's enraged moment before Hidan broke into a scoff, mocking Karin of her hair and how it would chase guys off than lure them into her lair. Karin, growled, shooting back comebacks as Sasori watched the whole scenario, feeling annoyed at their ramblings.

"When you two are done bickering like an old couple," Sasori spoke, which Karin and Hidan responded in sync with a "Hell No!" and continued to speak, "just… read the report that just came in from leader Obito; it's in the den."

Sasori exhales a tired sigh as he walks into the kitchen and disappears out the door. Karin stands up finally, brushing off the food dried on the back of her pants. Running her fingers through her scarlet hair, she sighs and shows a smug look to no one in particular and began to walk out the room, "Clean your mess while I get the report."

Hidan nods absentminded, feeling exhausted after their little sprawl and began to pick up the plates and utensils, piling them on top of each other onto the table. Standing up and walking into the kitchen, Hidan grabbed a small broom and pan and walked back out to clean up the mess of foods on the ground.

All the while, Karin took her time walking from the kitchen to the den and back, open report in hand. Her eyes scanned over the contents written and the small signature approved by their leader. Clicking her tongue against the roof of her mouth, she steps back into the dining room and sees Hidan walking out of the kitchen while draping a compression wrap around his injured arm.

Pressing her lips together, she grabs the upright chair and pulls it out before sitting on it and scooting forward, the reports in one hand as she plops them in between her and Hidan, who also sat down too. "What do we have here?"

"Itachi was ordered on a mission to assist a fellow member of the third Akatsuki Branch that has to deal with bombing a new extended area in Russia." Karin explains, tapping her fingers on the table, the rhythm of beats protruded the silence between the two.

Hidan hummed before he reached up to scratch his forehead and at the same time, Karin flinched, "And for two months too."

Karin bites her bottom lip, feeling slightly nervous and stupid for flinching at Hidan's previous actions. It wasn't like he was going to hit her— they were past that. Karin, huffing out a sigh, closes her eyes and leans back into her chair. "Since this report is immediate, Itachi must have probably already left."

Hidan didn't say anything, a gratitude relief overcomes Karin as she reopens her eyes and stares at the ceiling above them. Itachi must be really busy despite his side activities with his prison 'agent'; and… without a say of absence, either. Itachi will always remain aloof, even if she or any of the Akatsuki members try to change him, which she doubts will ever happen.

A sudden ring echoed off the walls from inside the den. Hidan gets up and rushes to the phone. As he gets there, his mind wandering who the caller might be when he slams his foot on the edge of the desk and grabs the phone off the hook before the call strikes another ring. Cursing into the phone, another voice interrupts with a stern greeting.

"You should really wash that mouth of yours; it's not good for your health." A female voice spoke, her tone holding a tease to it.

"Konan," Hidan recognized the voice and got straight to the point, "What the," he cursed, "do you want?"

There was a clicking sound of teeth and tongue on the other end, a small chuckle clearly heard by Hidan's sharp ear. "No need to be hasty. Anyway, I assume you and your group already read Leader Obito's report about Itachi."

He grunted in response, "Is that all?"

She laughs again, "Not quite." Her voice then becomes serious as she continues to speak, "A new member will be substituting Deidara. He'll be arriving no later than the end of this week."

A new member, huh, Hidan thinks. He wonders what this person will be like, if he or she has the experience or the guts to stay in their group more than a week or two. Tobi lasted; he has to give credit to the childish boy. Shaking his head, Hidan grunts at Konan's feedback and hangs up the phone as she gives him the last details of her report.

"A new member, huh, interesting." Karin's voice entered the room and into Hidan's subconsciousness. "Can't wait."

June, Saga. Half an hour before midnight, Sasuke

"It's Rave." Sasuke grunted feeling annoyed that this man would make a nickname for him, even though his undercover name did derive from 'Raven' nonetheless, Ral— that old man, Sasuke wonders how the man is holding up.

"See?" The man crouching before him chuckles. Not wavering by the man's tease, Sasuke turns on his heels and walks out of the dark room, not before hearing, "So cold!"

He must have been directing 'cold' either towards Sasuke's attitude or how the room felt when he first entered. He wondered though, how that girl endured the cold even when the temperature was below thirty seven Celsius. Narrowing his eyes, he walked back to the stairs, not bothering to over think things with the situation beforehand.

Walking up the steps, he could no longer hear what was going on in the basement but the closing of cabinets in the kitchen and the water rushing from the sink. Closing the basement door behind him, Sasuke made his way to the stairs leading to the second floor.

As he made it to the top, his attention turned to the first door to his right. Blinking, he remembered earlier the female member told him that that room belonged to that guy who cursed— forgetting their names already. Striding forward, he passes two doors down the hall, three more doors until the last came in sight. Exhaling an exhausted sigh, Sasuke reaches for his temporary room and opens it to see the room disorganized with unfinished gadgets, strewn clothes everywhere, if it's either on the drawer, floor or bed and how dark the room looked, despite neither it being nighttime nor the fact that the windows had no curtains or blinds. He'll have to change that.

Locking the door behind him, he walked in further, kicking the clothes across the room, "Starting with…"

June, Sunday, first week; Saga. Karin.

Stretching from her beauty sleep, Karin throws on some clothes and grabs her glasses before heading downstairs to eat and annoy a certain prick— maybe in her case, two pricks. Chuckling, when she does enter the kitchen, she's surprised to see a mass of jet black hair already seated at the table, piles of papers stacked neatly adjacent to him. Raising a brow, Karin walks forward and straightens her thick glasses. That's not Itachi, she thinks.

Blinking a couple of times, realization dawns on her. Yawning loudly, Karin trudges into the kitchen and grabs her usual breakfast before descending back to the table where the newest member sat at. "Mm, good morning."

No response was made.

Karin clicks her tongue against the back of her teeth, a small annoyance building within her as a certain face pops up into her mind. "Tch, just like Itachi."

The air between them stiffens. A small sound of a knuckle cracks as Karin sits down, sidled next to the new guy, "Rave, is it?"

She doesn't look at him as she scoops her cereal onto her spoon and lifts it to her mouth as a small noise pierces her ears. Karin pauses and flicks her eyes to the quiet boy sitting aside her. He was reading a file while at the same time, picking out papers out of the mass of pile in the center of the table. Karin chuckles and minds her business as she finishes up her breakfast.

Placing her spoon down, Karin looks over at a square clock nailed above the doorway to the kitchen which read five past eight. Standing up, Karin hears a sound of running water from upstairs and wonders if Hidan is up or maybe Sasori.

"Does this group take on activities?" The voice of a tenor, slick with seriousness only belonged to a male; the only male in the room spoke.

Karin blinks and retracts her head to see Rave write a small signature down before putting it aside and grabbing another file. She parts her lips and picks up her bowl of empty cereal, "Uh, what sort of activities do you mean?"

"Training, tactics," Rave pauses and looks up at her, his body leaned on the chair as if relaxed and continued listing down activities, "design, media threats."

Oh.

The corner of Karin's lips curve up as she chuckles a little inside, "We're passed that."

A click was heard from his mouth as he nods slowly and his dark charcoal eyes flicker to the doorway where a redhead walks in with bad bed hair and behind him, Hidan, who yawns loudly, dressed only in pants, baring his chest. Karin turns to go into the kitchen as they both mutter a grunt and seat themselves at the tables.

Well that was fast, Karin thinks to herself, wondering when either of them had shut off the running water from upstairs.

After washing her bowl and setting it aside to dry, Karin grabs Hidan and Sasori a fruit before returning to the table. Hidan had already made himself comfortable in his chair as Sasori takes the corner chair across from Rave. Tossing the fruits to both of the men, she sits herself in her chair and leans back.

"Today is not my day." Hidan sighs, leaning his head back, his eyes settled on the ceiling.

Sasori and Karin roll their eyes as Hidan mutters something about a ball of red hair in drains and Karin going bald. Narrowing her eyes, Karin snaps her head to Hidan, "Please don't tell me you used my shower!"

"So what if I did?" Hidan snickered, throwing Karin a superior look. Karin's upper lip curved back, a snarl vibrating in her throat as she holds up a fist.

"You're really going there?" She hears Sasori mutter in sarcasm, knowing the routine real well— being that Karin and Hidan are always fighting at the breakfast table.

"Hey," Hidan pointed out, "It wasn't my fault the redneck took his time in the freaking bathroom."

The side of Sasori's forehead ticks.

"You have a bathroom in your room, nonetheless, walk-in!" Karin exaggerates, her eyes flashing at the thought of Hidan actually standing in her shower, loitering his wastes in her tub. "Argh, my poor shower!"

"Why waste my water when I—"

"Same water bills going through every pipe in this house and you're worried about wasting?" Karin throws her arms up, her eyes wide with disbelief.

"Saving," Hidan answers, making Karin slam her hands onto the table, her cheeks blazing in frustrations.

"Stupid." Sasori laughs under his breath while shaking his head.

"Oy, at least I'm being conservative!" Hidan grins, taking a bite out of his fruit.

An aggravated sigh with an attached 'annoying' to it was heard between the trios. The three glance over at the now standing newest member of their group. Karin holds her breath as if he was going to repeat his inaudible comment a little more loudly. On the other hand, Hidan narrows his eyes and growls, irritated at the young man before them, "And where do you think you're going?"

Rave stacks his files together and tucks them under one arm while stepping around his chair to the open space of the exit, "Somewhere where it's quieter."

Karin's eyes flew from Rave to Hidan's at the same time Hidan snorts at Rave's remark; wondering if this upsetting atmosphere is going to burst into an all-out fight. It has happened before. Karin stands up as well, her motive to stop the two before damage reports its way to either Itachi or Leader Obito.

"Get used to it, boy. There's no such thing as quiet for a terrorist; its all-time job is about getting it down, being loud and rough." Hidan speaks, humor mixing in with seriousness as he leans back into his chair.

Karin parts her lips to retort at Hidan's dirty humor when Rave lets out a chuckle, "This job is also not a daycare center, where amateurs get to laze around doing nothing of the sort related to terrorism."

"What?" Hidan snaps. Karin takes a step, her hand freezes as Hidan moves quickly, passing Karin and grabs a hold of Rave's shirt collar.

"That's what you're doing, isn't it?" Rave continue, "You have your little sub downstairs, waiting to be executed and yet, it hasn't been done already?"

Karin clamps down on her tongue, a sudden, dangerous retort clouds her mind as she narrows her eyes at Rave who has suddenly discovered the non-existing (2) girl trapped in the basement cell. If Karin didn't know better, Rave had roam around their unit without permission; something was off, something that Karin knew nothing of yet, felt suspicion rising.

"We are different than most." Karin responds, taking a step away from her seat. "We are beyond amateurs; we are on the same level as Itachi. And you, you are only a substitute! So don't think belittling us will get you at the top because it won't. We won't allow it."

Meanwhile, throughout her speech, the three guys listen attentively. Hidan smirks as Karin finishes her say, a splendid idea popping into his mind. "Oh but," He offers, "what's better to outright believe a stranger, no less, a kid like Rave other than to test his abilities and judge him?"

Karin turns and blinks at Hidan's suggestion; the offer did sound convincing. She turns her head to face Sasori who nods, understanding where Hidan was directing his message. All the while, Rave made no move to tear away from Hidan's grip or make anymore retorts to their little group of Akatsuki members.

"Fine," Karin steps adjacent to Hidan and Rave, the corner of her lips curving upwards. "Since we don't trust you entirely; prove to us that you're worth staying."

Hidan made a noise in protest at Karin's sudden proposal and at the same time Rave looked over at Karin's ruby eyes to see that she was actually being serious, "Hn."

Karin jabbed her elbow in Hidan's side, making him flinch, annoyed. Hidan grumbled at a loss, finally loosening up his grip on Rave's collar and setting him down; a feeble nod in agreement as he turned away from the two.

"What's in it for me?" Rave asks, not wavering from the dark atmosphere that had settled in the room.

"If you do prove us wrong, we'll forget this whole ordeal and we won't even bother you and your 'certain' intentions. If not, then Hidan will decide what to do with you— oh but be careful, Hidan is way worst with coming up with ideas to torture than Itachi is…" Karin avoids Hidan's sudden glare on her, "Just saying."

The room remained quiet as Rave stands there, contemplating on Karin's offer. Hidan huffs and walks back to his chair, not turning around to shoot glare at the kid if he did decide to take on the challenge.

"Fine." Rave finally answers.

"Then it's settled." Sasori speaks for the first time, his voice trailing between the two standing. "You start today… with that girl."

Karin perks at the mention of the girl, her eyes widening a little at what Sasori was directing at Rave. What is he trying to entail, giving an easy task to him? What is his true motive? Did he really want that kid to pass? But then again, what can the kid do? That girl was Itachi's dog; it's not like he can touch her! She's already been exposed and it wouldn't be alright if he happened to find the same interest as Dei did with the girl. Settling her assumptions to the side, Rave took a step back, turned and walked out the room.

"This will be one," Hidan curses, grinning with amusement, "of an activity for him. I wonder what he'll do."

"We'll just have to wait and see, now won't we?" Sasori speaks, taking his non-eaten fruit and bites into it.

Hidan laughs as Karin stands there confused to what just happened. Did she miss hearing what was said between Sasori and Rave while her mind was busy coming up with questions to how Rave was going to prove them wrong? Karin swallows as Hidan laughs out loud and takes another bite out of his fruit, "Yeah, but Tobi is not going to like it."

(1) – Itachi laughs because Tobi sounded like a pedophile when he said he was good with children.

(2) – Meaning, Sakura doesn't exist in Karin's eyes, due to the framing incident of Itachi blaming her over the girl's rape.
