Hello again. So this isn't the last chapter I have at least one more though it might be two, not sure just yet. However, soon My Protector will be finished...yeah I don't know whether to be happy or sad...
I do have a question for you all though(it has nothing to do with the story). Who of you are Percy Jackson fans?
Also, I'm quite aware that this chapter is a bit...fast(I think that's the right word), but honestly that's just the way it came out, you can't it's boring so...
Anyhow enjoy, I'll be back to entertain you again in the near future, you guys are awesome ;)
^Yugi^
I wake up to find clothes that look an awful lot like the Pharaoh's laid out for me; a white tunic with a gold belt holding a blue drape down the front, the bracelet he gave me before the festival, shoes like the ones I helped him with when he was still the Prince, a thick intricate gold bracelet, two gold upper-arm bands, and a layered gold necklace. Defiantly not slave attire, but its way over the top for a simple guess too. The Pharaoh must really want me to stay.
I walk into the dining room to see the Pharaoh is already here sitting, not at the head of the table, but just to the right of it, the Prince's place.
"Pharaoh, shouldn't you be at the head of the table?" I ask, he looks up having just noticed my entrance and smiles.
"I'm not quite used it to be honest. It feels…"
"Weird?" I provide.
The Pharaoh nods, "Please sit, the chief will bring our food shortly."
I nod, taking a seat across from him, "You said I didn't have to call you by your title. So I don't think you should have to be so formal when you talk to me."
He chuckles, "Yes, I suppose that would be best wouldn't it? After all, I don't want things to be awkward between us."
"Exactly, you've never seemed to like being formal anyway."
"That's true, I don't think it's necessary, it's not like no one listens to me."
"You are the Pharaoh, it's law to listen to whatever you might say."
"Yugi."
"Yes, Pharaoh?"
He sighs, "When will you stop that?"
"When I have reason to. Though I don't think that's what you were going to ask me."
The Pharaoh smiles, "I have a confession actually."
Completely curious I feel my head tilt to the side a little, wondering what he has to tell me.
"I heard you talking to Jono and Mana this afternoon."
Suddenly I feel like I've been slapped and I sit back in my chair, the table becomes extremely interesting and I feel my heart speed up, "I-I'm sorry."
"Sorry? No Yugi." I hear the Pharaoh get up, I see him kneel beside me, but I don't look at him, I can't, "Yugi, look at me. Please Yugi." There's a hand turning me to look at him, both hands are holding my face as he says something to me but I can't hear the words clearly, they're jumbled together, a meaningless slur.
A tear slides down the Pharaoh's cheek and suddenly I can hear and move again. I drop to my knees before him and wrap my arms around him as his words finally make since.
"Please don't cry, My Lord. I hate to see you like this." I whisper in his ear, he seems content on holding me like this forever, and I have no problem with that.
"Yugi, I love you. I want you to stay here with me. I never want to be without you, not for a second."
"Y-you? R-really?" I whisper afraid I imagined it.
"Yes, I love you, Yugi. I love you."
I tighten my arms around the Pharaoh, burying my face in his neck, "I love you too, Atem."
Atem pulls back just enough to see my face, "Say that again."
Tears run down Atem's face as I smile and lean my for-head against his, "I love you, Atem."
The Pharaoh smiles, "Yugi."
"Yes, Atem?"
"Can I ask you something crazy?"
"Anything, My Lord."
"Will you marry me?"
