Chapter 6

Skypiea's sad History

Ichigo woke up to the sounds of branches and leaves breaking nearby. Looking to his right he found the arrancar Halibel lying next to him holding his onto his arm with her head on his shoulder. With this realization he also noticed that her leg was across his thigh.

He froze he didn't know what else to do. He had always woken up to his dad trying to attack him, this however was an entirely new situation for him, and left him wondering what to do as she too started to stir awake.

It was then that he heard more branches and leaves breaking nearby, but this time it was accompanied by a scream as what sounded like a body crashed into some of the trees nearby. Looking back over at Halibel to see if she was up he started to pull himself out of her embrace to go see what was happening. It was just as he finished standing that he heard her finally wake up next to him, turning so he was facing partially towards her while still managing to keep his eyes on where he had last heard the scream, he put his finger to his lips in motion for silence.

Ichigo slowly started to walk towards that side of their little clearing while picking his sword up from where he had set it down with his shirt earlier. As he closed in on his destination he could hardly concentrate, still feeling as if his right arm was in-between that incredibly dark yet soft valley of Halibel's.

As that thought crossed his mind Ichigo finally caught himself, almost face-palmed himself as he thought to himself "I'm turning into Kon that damn pervert." As that thought passed Ichigo reached up to his face and wiped under his nose to make sure that he hadn't started to have a nose-bleed due to his thoughts. He mentally sighed in relief a few minutes later as he saw that he didn't have any blood on his hand.

It was then that Ichigo noticed that he still hadn't seen anyone around despite having heard what sounded like someone in distress from right in front of where he stood.

After a few moments of looking around he turned to leave only to find Halibel standing behind him looking up into the tree above his head. Curious as to what she was looking at Ichigo turned and looked into the tree to see what she was looking at. He was more than a little surprised when he saw one of the skypieans draped over a branch somewhere around the middle of the tree. Ichigo couldn't keep his next statement to himself though, as his confusion was let out when he said "Huh?" As if this was not enough a few seconds after he finally noticed this body another one came flying through the trees to land on top of Ichigo.

In a moment of mild anger Ichigo threw the body off of him and stood up to see where this particular body had come from. He was beat to the punch by Halibel though as she said "That came from the direction of the beach, and to be more specific it came from where we were docked."

As the words left her mouth Ichigo's eyes started to grow wide as he said "Come on we need to head back now. The others may need our help since we are only at twenty percent of our actual strength." With that said Ichigo disappeared via shunpo, and was followed a second later by Halibel who used sonido.

What they arrived to find at the beach looked like the sight of a massacre as they stared around at all of the unconscious bodies lying all over the beach, and hanging from nearby trees, and some were even floating in the sea clouds. The weirdest part was everyone was on the boat except for the captain Luffy, and even Ulquiorra was standing there with his wide open as though he had seen something that he couldn't comprehend. Halibel was a little scared when she saw this as she had never actually seen Ulquiorra ever show emotion. When they noticed what everyone was staring at they turned to see them staring at Luffy. This didn't make any sense though as he seemed to be the dumbest person on the ship, and neither, Ichigo or Halibel even thought he could fight.

Ichigo just looked over his shoulder, and said "It seems we missed a very fun show. Come on let's go find out what happened." With that said he turned towards the ship and shunpoed onto the deck. Halibel was only a moment behind him as they both turned to see that it turned out the only ones who were actually staring were their friends and comrades. Looking over to the first mate Ichigo walked up to him and asked "What did we miss?"

Looking over at him with a grunt Zoro said "Oh not much really, we got ambushed and Luffy beat all of them up for attacking us." He then turned and walked away to help prepare the ship for departure as though that explained everything. Realizing that he wouldn't get any more out of him Ichigo turned away from him, and walked over to where Urahara was standing next Starrk and both were just now starting to regain some semblance of decency while still closing their jaws from where they were hanging around the middle of their chests.

"So Urahara san what happened here that caused all of you guys to look like you saw something impossible?" Ichigo asked once he was standing next to him. Looking over at him Urahara said I think I just found a way to possibly beat Aizen. Starrk looked over at him and said "Or a way for us to win the war." It was then that Ichigo simply said "Whoa there guys this is definitely not the place to start a fight. Now could one of you all tell me what actually happened in detail?"

"Well to tell you the truth it was pretty fast actually, we had just managed to get everyone on board except for the captain, and the navigator when one of those men got to close and hit the navigator. After that the captain threw his fist over at the guy and launched him into the forest with a single punch. Not all that impressive since we have all seen his ability by now. It was what happened next that seems to be a little hard to grasp. You see he then jumped into the air and started throwing his arms and legs out at what seemed like random only for the to start hitting every one of the enemies that were attacking us." Urahara explained as he looked over at Ichigo with a bit of a far off look in his eye as though he were picturing it all again.

"Well that doesn't seem so extraordinary if you think about it." Ichigo said as he looked at Urahara and Starrk as though, they were losing their minds.

"Normally Ichigo you would be right. However, in this situation you are wrong you see it wasn't that he did it either, it was the speed at which he did it;" said Renji as he walked up to them "you see he did it so fast that most of us could barely keep up with his movements."

This caused Ichigo to look over at the very captain that was now getting onto the boat with a little more wariness as he now saw someone who might be a potential threat in the future. He then turned around to go look for something to do so that he could keep himself occupied.

Ichigo hadn't made it three steps before he noticed Ulquiorra walking over to Conis and her father with what looked like a purpose. Deciding he didn't have anything better to do Ichigo followed him, not knowing the whole time that several others were also curious as to what was going to happen next. Amongst these people were Robin, Bellamy, Urahara, Rukia, Uryu, Zoro, Sanji, and Starrk.

When Ulquiorra was standing directly in front of Conis father he finally spoke. "Who were those people, and why did they attack us?"

Looking a little sheepish and more than a little nervous Conis father replied "They were part of the former god's army. They now serve the new god as his police force here on this island to help keep the peace, and to arrest anyone who has broken the law. You all must have broken the law when you came here."

"Ulquiorra thought quietly to himself for a moment before he spoke again "Would this have anything to do with not having paid when we were on our way here from the previous White Sea?"

"You all didn't pay when you were coming up here? Well that is most assuredly the reason why you are being attacked right now." Conis replied as she looked over at Ulquiorra in fear. "I knew you all were pirates, but I never would have guessed that anyone would dare to take break the god's rules."

"Who is this god that you have been referring too? He sounds like a dictator with the fear that I hear in your voice when you speak of him." Urahara said as he looked over at her with a serious look on his face. In his mind it was another Aizen for them to fight right off the bat in this new world.

As he looked around Urahara noticed that several of those around the table had put two and two together as well. As he looked over at Ichigo he saw the rage dancing just behind his eyes at the prospect of another Aizen on his hands. Conis next words caused everyone to stare at her in shock though.

"This god recently replaced the old god what your captain just beat were the only survivors of that battle that any of us have ever gotten to see other than the old god. It was a monstrous battle they said, and to make matters worse the new god took on all our forces by himself, and single handedly won the battle. Back then there were hundreds in our soldier's ranks. The seventy-five your captain just took out were the only ones who came back, and they haven't been the same since they returned." As she said this Conis started to cry, and this caused everyone else on board to come over to find out what was going on.

As she looked up at those around her she said "When he came he brought 104 men with him, four of those men are now known as his priests and guard portions of god's island for him. The other hundred guard his palace for him. They were all from an island in the White Sea, when we sent people to find a way to stop him we found out that he had destroyed the entire island; and anyone who did not swear complete loyalty to him, or who were not useful in some way… they were all killed! H…h…he left their bodies just to f…fl…float in the sea for anyone to find. It was horrible." When she finished Conis broke down and fell to her knees on the deck.

Pagaya looked up from where he was standing next to her as he finished her tail for her "I am sorry for this we were part of that little expedition, we never suspected that he would do that to his own people." At this Pagaya himself started to tear up. "Because of that I took my daughter with me thinking that it would be a good way for her to get away from the new god's regime. Instead I took her to the most traumatic area in either of the White Sea's.

Luffy all of a sudden walked through the entire group, which for some odd reason just seemed to part for him though none could explain it, or even seemed to realize that they were doing it. When he finally stood in front of Conis and her father He looked at them both before he smiled, and said "You all are Nakama now. That means that we will help you fight when you need someone to help you fight." With that said Luffy turned to Sanji and said "Sanji prepare a feast with lots of meat for tomorrow we are going to war again."

Urahara almost dislocated his jaw for the second time that day when he heard Luffy say this. It was then that he noticed the looks on all of the Strawhats faces as they nodded in understanding of their captain's wishes. It was then that Urahara thought "We seemed to have landed in the perfect place at the perfect time, and to have joined the perfect crew. I think I can even use this as a teaching experience to show the arrancar what is in store for them if they continue to serve Aizen in his madness." As this thought went through his mind Urahara turned to the two people from Ichigo's group most likely able to help him accomplish his goal, as he started to plan this whole situation to their advantage.

Unbeknownst to anyone else on board Bellamy was also; having a hard time not believing what he heard the Strawhat captain say. "Did he just tell his crew to prepare for another war? What they hell did this crew do when they entered the Grand Line? My crew seems like babies compared to them. When I get back with them I will have to remedy that as soon as possible if I want to get stronger." With that he too started walking towards the galley hoping that tonight's feast would be as impressive as he expected it to be; all the while a smirk was gracing his lips as he continued to think about how lucky he was to have not gotten into a fight with this particular crew.

Next chapter opens with the feast and starts the war be prepared many things will be changed from the first time around. All for the better of course, if I do say so myself.
