Sly walked outside with his head hanging down. He was happy that his parents still loved him after they knew the truth, but something else was bothering him. He knew that things would never be the same between he and his family. Word was sure to get out about what he had done. He had ruined his life.

He walked over to the end of the path near a rock formation. He sat down with his back against the cliff, arms resting on his knees, and his head resting on his arms. He contemplated what he would do for the rest of his life. He would basically live his life as an ex-convict, probably even an exile.

Sly was lost in his thoughts when he heard footstep coming closer to him. He glanced to see who it was; it was Betty. He nonchalantly acknowledged that she was there. She stopped when she was next to him, stopped for a few seconds, then sat down next to him. Sly watched from the corner of his eye. He tensely waited for what she was gonna say.

A few moments passed in silence. "So what's on your mind, Lil' Bro?" Betty asked quietly when she realized he wasn't going to say anything.

Sly smirked spitefully. "You're still gonna call me that after all this?"

"Of course. Why wouldn't I?"

"Think about it."

"Sly, what you've done doesn't change your status with me. You're still my little brother. I'll still love you the same as I always have."

"You make it sound like I haven't done anything wrong."

"No, I'm not saying that at all. We all know helping Cass was wrong. But I'm still gonna love you as my brother, and be there for you however I can."

Sly started to get choked up. He lowered his head so that his eyes couldn't be seen. "I don't understand…" he said in a gruff whisper.

Betty put her arm around her brother and pulled him close for a hug. "You'll always be my brother, Sly. No matter what. Plus, I know you. You wouldn't have done any of that if you had known the truth. Right now I'm just glad you're here."

Sly couldn't hold it in anymore; he cried after she said that. Betty just hugged him a little tighter.

Ty and Shazza were watching them in the distance with their backs against a tree. Ty had his right leg propped up and was resting his arm on it. His other hand was resting on the ground beside him. He watched his siblings sadly. After saving his family and defeating Boss Cass almost single-handedly, he felt ridiculously helpless with his brother's situation. Shazza sensed his feeling of frustration.

"What's wrong, Possum?" she asked softly.

Ty sighed. "I just wish that there was something I could do to help him, Shaz. I know I kinda just met him and all, but-" He stopped because Shazza had put her hand on top of his. He looked down at her hand, then looked into her eyes. He gave her a half smile. She grabbed his hand, and he grabbed hers. She scooted closer to him and leaned her head on his shoulder. He rested his head against her blonde hair. "Thanks, Shaz," he whispered.

"No need to thank me, Possum," she whispered back. Then they both looked back towards Sly and Betty, silently hoping that things would work out.
