Hey guys I'm back with the final action packed chapter of Midoriichi Next Generation, after managing to pull myself away from Grand Theft Auto 5. The next thing after this is the epilogue. But you're all wondering who took the hit for Midoriichi, and I know you all have placed your bets, so I say we should get started. Also we are now a chapter closer to the Crossover, between Midoriichi and The Last Bit of Humanity. That's right you guessed it, Werewolves, Vampires and Demons. The Crossover will be set between Lat Bit of Humanity 1 and 2 as well as between Midoriichi and Next Generation. We've decided to blur the lines and make an alternate timeline allowing them to interact and meet. How will they meet you ask? You'll soon see, you'll soon see.

I do not own the Kim Possible Characters, they belong to Disney. I do However own Kuraiichi, Rida, Akai, Hori, Midoriko, Chisana-ichi, Josei, On'nanako as well as the names Buraun, Koni, Roni, Midoriichi, Hekuta, Murasaki and Kimiko.

Ch. 29 Final Stand

Midoriko stood there wide eyed after regaining her senses. She had blacked out for about five seconds, and in those five seconds an action was committed that she wasn't ready for. Midoriko stared into the green eyes of the person on the other end of her arm. Midoriko's hand had pierced the heart and emerged through the back, and she was horrified.

She has killed before in a similar fashion, but she had never taken the life of a family member, something she was sure she could do, but found out that she couldn't.

"O-Okasan (Mother)." Midoriko said as she removed her hand.

Midoriichi quickly caught Kimiko as she fell backwards. Everyone's eyes were locked on the fallen priestess. Jodan was heartbroken, she grew up with Kimiko. They were practically sisters. Chisana-ichi hovered in the air, mixed emotions running through her. She was disappointed at herself for not being fast enough to stop Midoriko, but she was also angry, very, very, angry.

Midoriko took a few steps back, still completely horrified. "W-Why would you do that? That attack….That attack was not meant for you." Midoriko asked.

"Kimiko, Kimiko stay with me." Midoriichi pleaded with her dying wife, as more blood dripped from her mouth, and poured from the wound in her chest.

"M-M-Midor-Midoriichi…." Kimiko weakly said.

"Shh, don't talk, don't waste any more energy. Jodan is not too far away we can have her heal you." Midoriichi said tears welling up in her eyes.

Kimiko reached out for Midoriichi's hand, and the Tori leader took her hand into her own. Kimiko shook her head in disagreement, she knew that would not be needed. The priestess formed a smile as Midoriichi brushed the hair from over her eyes.

"Free…her." Kimiko pleaded.

"Free who?" Midoriichi wondered.

She then looked over to Midoriko as she heard her let out a terrified scream. Midoriko dropped to her knees as her scream reached the heavens. Midoriichi watched as the mark on her neck glowed once more, and Moniku snickered.

Midoriichi put two and two together. It's the mark, that Kimiko wanted to free Midoriko from. If she could cut the puppet free of its strings, then she could free Midoriko.

"Listen…to me…Midoriichi." Kimiko said. "M-Midoriko isn't….in…in her right mind. She's confused. I-I know your mad."

"Your damn right I'm mad. Look at what she did to you." Midoriichi said.

"If you want….to…to be mad. Hate….Moniku. She-She ruined…our..family." Kimiko told her. "She…kidnapped your…daughter…k-killed your…wife. Don't let her…do it…t-to anyone else."

"Kimiko you were the greatest thing, that ever happened to me." Midoriichi said as she held her wife closer, tears flowing down her cheeks. "I don't know what I'll do without you."

"You'll live…on…knowing that I…loved you. I'll always…cherish the…moments we've spent as-as a f-family." Kimiko said.

"As will I." Midoriichi told her.

Kimiko smiled her last smile, and took her last breath. The proud priestess and last of the Kanosei family had passed away.

"K-Kim." Ron called out as he tried to crawl his way to her, but Moniku stopped him, by placing her foot on his back.

"You're next. Kimiko's soul wont satiate hell, and I don't have all day, so do me a favor and make this easy for yourself." Moniku told him.

Moniku looked up when she felt Midoriichi's demonic aura rising. Moniku growled, the last thing she needed was Midoriichi a power boost. She also sensed some power building in Chisana-ichi, but it presenting a problem. The problem was going to get Midoriko to obey, now that she had been forced to kill her mother.

'Midoriko get up, we have a job to finish.' She said mentally forcing her will through her.

She could feel Midoriko trying to resist her, a futile attempt. 'Midoriko, this is what you wanted.' Moniku told her.

'You're wrong!' Midoriko said mentally. 'True I wanted to bring down the Tori and Neko to get peace, but you're way is wrong.' Midoriko protested.

'Oh Midoriko, you planned on showing them mercy? No, you never planned to kill them at all. Did you honestly think that was going to work?' She said as she forced more of her will into Midoriko. 'Let me tell you something, there is no peaceful way to wage a war. There will always be casualties. There is no way to rewind time, you can't undo what has already been done.' She told her apprentice.

"Get out of my head!" Midoriko screamed as her demonic aura began to flare up.

Midoriichi let Kimiko's last words sink deep within her. She was going to rip Moniku apart, and utterly crush her for destroying her family. Abiding by Kimiko's dying wish, she rushed Moniku, attempting to free Midoriko, before having to deal with her.

"I'll make you pay you hear me! You're dead!" She roared as her fists came alive with her green demonic aura.

"Oh you're mad, but shouldn't you be taking your anger out on Midoriko? She killed her, though I might have forced her hand, literally speaking of course." Moniku said as she avoided Midoriichi's punches.

"You bitch!" Midoriichi said. She threw a straight jab hitting Moniku in her face.

Moniku's head snapped to the left. She was able to catch Midoriichi's right fist, but was hit by her knee as she struck the ebony skinned woman in the gut. Midoriichi then kicked Moniku back.

Jodan couldn't believe her best friend was gone. It wasn't supposed to happen, it wasn't supposed to be like this. Jodan dropped to her knees, her arms trembled as they tried to hold the priestess up. Tears flowed down her cheeks, her head lowered to the ground.

"Kimiko, I'm sorry. So, so sorry." Jodan said.

Komori took full advantage of this, and moved to strike her down, but was blocked by Yori wielding a Kunai. Komori backed off a bit smiling at the kunoichi.

"So fragile you humans can be. It just takes the death of a loved one to break your resolve." Komori said.

Jodan looked up to see Yori offering her hand to the priestess. "You wont do Kimiko justice, if you die here." She told Jodan.

Jodan knew she was right. She owed to herself, no to Kimiko to live on, and to avenge her death. Jodan stood up, and stood next to Yori with a bold new look of determination. Komori was actually surprised, but she couldn't let their little display of courage last. She needed to consume more blood if she wanted to survive the holy energy coursing through her body. Komori cursed the dead priestess, glad that she was finally out of her hair.

"This is your final hour. Let it be written down in the scrolls of history, how the Tori and Neko met their inevitable end." The bat demon told them.

"You're right about one thing, Komori. Someone will meet their end, but it wont be us." Jodan said, as she unraveled one of her giant scrolls.

Chisana-ichi was devastated. She wasn't able to save her mother, that alone pushed her past her breaking point. She couldn't understand how Midoriko could just do something like this. First, their uncle, next their grandmother, and now even their own mother. Chisana-ichi felt her anger reaching new heights. She wasn't going to let Moniku or Midoriko take anyone else away from her.

'This stops right now.' She thought to herself.

Chisana-ichi's demonic aura swelled as her white glow, grew brighter and resonated off of her. She could hear the words that Komori spoke to her five years ago. The power she possessed would be the power needed to stop Midoriko. With her power at its max, she unleashed it.

"This ends now!" She roared.

Midoriichi stopped her assault on Moniku after feeling her daughter's intense power surge.

"It's dangerous to take your eyes off me!" Moniku advised her as she tried to stab her.

Midoriichi avoided the attack, and countered only for Moniku to counter her and knock her back.

Chisana-ichi had her eyes looked onto her older twin sister. He flew down to the ground landing several feet from Midoriko.

"How could you?" She said.

"Ichi, I-I didn't…" Midoriko tried to explain.

"Don't bother. Saying I didn't do it, wont save you this time. I can't believe how low you've sunken. Do you understand what you have just done?" She asked her sister while clenching her fists so tightly blood began to drip from her palms.

"It was out of my control, what would you have me do?" Midoriko asked.

"You killed your own mother!" Chisana-ichi roared. The words cut through Midoriko, like a blade through her heart. "Nothing could express the level of rage and sadness flowing through me, but you'll get a good understanding once I used these fists to throttle you!" She said and shot forward.

Midoriko put up her guard, as Chisana-ichi's fists starting flying. Midoriko was trying to explain the situation but her younger sister was done talking. Chisana-ichi threw her fist forward with a strong punch, breaking through Midoriko's guard and hitting her square in the face. Midoriko hit the ground, and Chisana-ichi jumped on top of her.

Midoriko was quick to flip her off, but Chisana-ichi was quicker to grab her sister's feet and performed a somersault slamming Midoriko back into the ground. Midoriko cried out in pain from the force of the impact, and Chisana-ichi held her to the ground as she sat upon her.

They exchanged glances, before Chisana-ichi raised her right fist and tried to punch Midoriko in the face. Midoriko moved her head and Chisana-ichi's fist collided with the ground. She quickly raised her left fist and the same thing happened. Both of her knuckles were bloody from the powerful impact with the ground, but that wouldn't stop her from trying.

Midoriko raised her arms to remove her younger sibling, but Chisana-ichi was not having it. She quickly placed her sister's hands back at her sides and delivered a headbutt, keeping Midoriko on to the ground.

"If I hadn't held back earlier, no If I had killed you when I first laid eyes on you, mother would still be alive. It's all your fault!" She said as she got in Midoriko's face.

"Ichi will you just.."

"Shut up!" Chisana-ichi said as she tried to strike her again.

Midoriko caught her fist and kicked Chisana-ichi off of her. Midoriko got to her feet, but as soon as she did, Chisana-ichi was already in her face, and tried to uppercut her. Her fist grazed her cheek, as Midoriko managed to barely dodge the attack. Midoriko jumped back as Chisana-ichi came chasing after her, swinging her fists. Midoriko saw an opening and kicked her in the stomach. Chisana-ichi slid back some panting heavily, she quickly charged back at Midoriko and landed a kick to her chest, knocking her older twin on her back again.

Midoriko looked up to see Chisana-ichi coming in for the finishing blow, her right fist covered in her white demonic aura. Midoriko quickly evaded the attack, jumping to the left, as Chisana-ichi grazed her again. Both sisters quickly entered a boxing like stance as Midoriko fists ignited with her black demonic aura, she was going to go on the offensive. Midoriko dodged her younger sister's left and right hook, waiting for an opening.

Chisana-ichi tried another right and left hook, that Midoriko dodged again. Midoriko stepped back trying to put some distance in between them, but Chisana-ichi lunged forward ready to hit her with a straight jab. Midoriko saw the opening she was looking for and ducked under her sister's jab. She quickly struck her in the face with a powerful left jab. Midoriko was shocked to see that Chisana-ichi was unfazed by her blow. Chisana-ichi quickly retaliated with a blow to Midoriko's stomach. The attack was strong enough to create a shockwave as she sent Midoriko flying into the air, blood leaking from her mouth.

She hit the ground hard, and the first thing she saw as Chisana-ichi with her glowing fists come down upon her. Chisana-ichi created a dust cloud when she collided with Midoriko, hitting her with a hammer fist. When the dust settled Chisana-ichi could be seen wailing on Midoriko. Midoriko having lost out to her younger sister's incredible strength, could do nothing.

Thoughts quickly raced through her mind, she knew that Moniku forced her to kill Kimiko. So she wanted to say she was not to blame, that way it could ease the guilt on her heart. Still whether she did it or not, it was her hand that pierced her mother's heart. There was no getting past that fact, controlled or not, she killed Kimiko.

Midoriko suddenly felt a surge of power coming from within her and she used it to stop Chisana-ichi, catching both of her hands. Midoriko looked Chisana-ichi in her eyes, before throwing her to the side.

Midoriko slowly rose to her feet, not taking her eyes off of her sister. Both of their demonic aura began to swirl and mix with the others, relaying one's emotions to the others.

"So you're finally going to fight me?" Chisana-ichi asked her older sister.

"I'm not ready to die yet. But if I am going to die at your hands Ichi, I'll do it fighting." Midoriko said and glanced over to see Moniku and Midoriichi locked in battle. " Ikimashou (Let's go)."

XX

Moniku slid on her back after being hit by Midoriichi. She sat up smirking at the Tori leader.

"How can you smile after what you've done?" Midoriichi asked as she walked towards Moniku.

"Simple, because we both know you're fighting a losing battle. You're all exhausted, fighting on fumes, and soon you'll be dead." Moniku said. "Tell me, where do you think Kimiko's soul went after she died?" Moniku asked.

Midoriichi's eyes widened, causing Moniku to grin even more. "That's right. Anyone killed by one who possesses the Mark of Hell, has their soul sent there, as an offering to the Lord of Hell himself." Moniku told her. "But don't look so glum, I'll send you there personally."

Moniku charged her, and Midoriichi countered her punch, and punched her in the face. Reacting quickly Moniku raked her claws across Midoriichi's face, luckily missing her eyes. Still it was good enough and allowed Moniku to get another hit in. Midoriichi stumbled back, as Moniku came in with a left hook, followed by an uppercut.

Midoriichi landed on her back, and Moniku pinned her down with her foot. Moniku laughed, she had this battle won. She looked around to see that Midoriko was once again fighting against her sister and Komori was pretty much done with the two women, now all she had to do was kill Midoriichi.

She looked down at her as she raised her right hand into the air. "I'm going to enjoy this." She said.

Before her hand could strike down, she was knocked from off of Midoriichi. She looked over to see Ron glaring at her, she growled as she stood up. "I should have killed you earlier."

"Too bad you wont get another chance." He said to her.

"Ron!" Yori called out to him, only to be grabbed by Komori.

Jodan ran up, pulling out her sword. "Let her go!" She yelled only to be grabbed by Komori as well.

The bat demon lifted them off of the ground and held them in the air, with a hungry smile. "Now which one do I try first?" She asked. "Oh I know, I'll sample your blood and whoever tastes better goes first." Komori smiled.

She was going to go for Jodan first, and she pulled the priestess closer to her hungry mouth. Jodan struggled as she tried to free herself from the demon's grip. Komori opened her mouth as her fangs elongated, she let out a delightful hiss. However both Jodan and Yori found themselves on the ground freed of the bat demon's grasp.

They looked up to see a black blade of energy sticking out from her gut. Komori dropped down to her knees, as the others looked on. Both Midoriichi and Moniku recognized the energy signature. Eyes were on the portal, that the blade shot out from. Soon a barrage of tiny black blades shot out from the portal and began to pierce through Komori. The blades sliced up her body and left dozens of puncture wounds.

Komori fell forward, landing on her hands she looked up at the portal, as she forced herself to stand. Next thing to shoot out of the portal was a black chain, with a bladed tip. It hooked itself to Komori's chest and without warning, quickly pulled her inside the portal.

Everyone looked on in bewilderment at what had just transpired. Soon Komori could be heard screaming. Her screaming lasted for a full minute before stopping, leaving them with dead silence.

"K-Komori?" Moniku called out to her, but didn't receive a response.

Sensing something dangerous, Moniku began to back away from the portal. Moniku's eyes widened when she saw a figure step out from the portal. Her eyes were like Komori's, Bo'A's and Midoriko's. Black sclera and she had blue irises. Her long raven black hair blew in the wind as she took a look around. Her black feathers glowed in the moon light as her eyes focused on the woman in front of her.

"K-Kuraiichi?" Moniku said in surprise.

"Moniku." She said with a slight grin. "I see you've been busy."

"What are you doing here? More importantly how did you get here?" Moniku asked.

"I felt a strong power calling out to me. Two of them actually. I couldn't just ignore it. But imagine my surprise when I see you attacking my family." Kuraiichi said. "I can smell the blood of my clan."

"Blood spilled by your own granddaughter." Moniku said. "Allow me to introduce you to Midoriko Tori, your granddaughter. She aspires to be just like you one day."

Kuraiichi looked over at the twins, but eyed Midoriko specifically. Like her she had black feathers and raven black hair, the only difference is the red streaks running through her hair. She could tell they were twins, and she could tell they had her blood running through their veins, she could feel it. She could the half-demon scent pouring off of Chisana-ichi.

"Half demons, it seems Midoriichi was serious about that little priestess." She said. Then Kuraiichi caught another scent, this one was coming from Midoriko. "A full demon scent? But is she not a half demon?"

Kuraiichi then got a good look at Midoriko's eyes. Seeing the black sclera clued her in, that Midoriko underwent a transformation, just like she did hundreds of years ago. She looked back at Moniku, realizing that she must have had something to do with it. Her gaze shifted when she saw Midoriichi.

She walked over to her daughter, who just now picking herself up from the ground.

"Midoriichi." She said.

"Mother." Midoriichi replied.

"I expect more from you." She said to her daughter.

"Don't try to lecture me. I've been fighting nonstop, while you've been letting the flames of hell lick your sorry ass." Midoriichi said.

"Might I remind you, that it was you that sent me there." Kuraiichi quipped.

"Look can we finish after we've beating her?" Midoriichi asked.

Kuraiichi looked around, as if she was expecting someone to show up, or be here. "What happened to your little human mate, Midoriichi?" Kuraiichi asked.

Midoriichi looked away. "She's gone…" She said pointing to the body of the dead priestess.

Kuraiichi glanced in the direction she pointed in, to see the priestess indeed was lifeless. She noticed the fatal wound in her chest. Kuraiichi sighed before looking back to moniku.

"Moniku what happened to you? You're not the kind woman I met in my childhood." Kuraiichi said.

"Of course not. I've been burning with revenge before you were born. Now that revenge is almost realized, all made possible thanks to the aid of your granddaughter. Plus the power of hell is flowing through me, I'm unstoppable." She said as she held her hands out at her sides.

"Moniku, do you remember what I said would happen if you attacked my clan?" Kuraiichi asked.

Moniku craned her eyebrow at the question, but in truth she had not forgotten.

"If you ever attacked the Tori, that you would have to answer top me, that I would kill you." Kuraiichi said.

"That was years ago, you're not the fearsome demon you used to be. You're a dead woman, I have nothing to fear from you." Moniku said.

"No, I'm a dead woman with nothing to lose." Kuraiichi corrected her.

Moniku looked around, she was alone, both of her daughters are dead, but she wasn't out yet, not while she could still use Midoriko.

"Midoriko lend me some of your power." She ordered the young demon.

"What? Why should I?" She asked questioning Moniku.

"Are you questioning my orders? My will?" Moniku growled.

"Your will is no longer my will." Midoriko told her. "I allowed you to blur my path, because I thought that it would lead me to a better place, a world where I could no longer experience pain. All your will has done is cause me more pain."

"I thought you'd say something like that." Moniku said.

Suddenly without warning chains made out of demonic energy shot forth from Moniku. The chains shot out in every direction. Kuraiichi grabbed Midoriichi and Ron and jumped out of the way. Yori and Jodan did the same avoiding being hit by the chains.

The chains of course were a diversion, she needed them distracted, but more importantly she needed Midoriko off guard. Chains shot up behind Midoriko and ensnared her. Moniku laughed as she began to siphon energy from her and transfer it into herself.

Midoriko struggled against the might of the chains, but it was all for nothing. The more she struggled, the more of her strength she wasted. It didn't take long for Midoriko's strength to fade, and for Moniku to take it all in.

Moniku laughed as the chains retracted and they disappeared.

"Thank you for your wonderful contribution Midoriko." Moniku said. "Now then." Moniku said focusing her attention on Kuraiichi and Midoriichi. "I think we all can agree that it's time to wrap this up. So I've decided to show a little something before you die." Moniku told them. "I'll show you my true form, Jigoku Ryoken the Hell Hound."

Their eyes widened as Moniku's power began rise dramatically. They watched as her muscles bulged, growing twice their size. Moniku's yukata began to completely tear apart and her muscles began to split her skin. As her skin split, steam leaked out, and began to surround her.

"Everyone quick! Give me what remaining energy you have left! There's no time to think, just do it!" Midoriichi pleaded.

Everyone nodded and began to transfer their remaining energy. Ron placed his hand on Midoriichi's shoulder and transferred the rest of his energy. Jodan took Yori's hand and said a chant that would transfer their remaining energy into Midoriichi, Chisana-ichi transferred hers as well.

Midoriichi began to feel her own power being restored by the strength of her friends and family. She could feel the power of the Daiyokai returning. However she was taken from her thoughts as a loud roar shook the area. Midoriichi looked back over to Moniku to see the transformation taken place. Moniku's shoulder's split open and released torrents of steam. Soon Bone began to grow from the splits in her shoulders and formed demonic like skulls.

Moniku dropped down to her hands, getting on all fours. More smoke began to pour off the back of her skull as horns protruded from her skull. Frightened everyone began to quickly finish transferring their power. After completing their energy transference all of them began to slip out of consciousness, all except for Chisana-ichi.

Before Jodan slipped out of consciousness she saw a vision, a glimpse of the future. She saw Midoriichi doing battle with what she believed to be one of the Okami clan, the figure after all was in the shape of a wolf, and this wolf had black fur with dark green eyes. She even saw a being, possibly a bat demon covered in tremendous demonic aura, almost a terrifying as what Moniku was exhibiting. Then finally she saw one of Midoriko, a dark ominous aura surrounded her, it was something about the look in her eyes that she found unsettling, and more terrifying than the two previous premonitions.

'I'll have to warn…Midoriichi.' Jodan thought as she finally slept into unconsciousness.

"Feeling better?" Kuraiichi asked her daughter.

"A lot better." Midoriichi smiled. She looked to see everyone had fainted, all except Chisana-ichi. "Chisna-ichi!" Midoriichi called out to her youngest. "Can you still move?"

"Y-Yes." She said.

"Good, take everyone to a safe spot, then get a well-deserved rest." She told her.

Chisana-ichi nodded and went to gather everyone. She noticed that Midoriko was moving away from the battle as well. She wanted to deal with her, but she had to ensure the safety of everyone else first.

XX

The ground shook as Moniku finished her transformation. He smoke cleared to reveal a giant dog standing before them. She had black fur, with a brown underbelly. Bony ridges ran down her neck, back and tail. Her tail was long and bony and ended in a fork, like a snake's tongue. Flames surrounded her eyes and her paws melted the ground keeping her surrounded in a thick and intoxicating smoke.

"Do you like it? I hope so, because it'll be the last thing you ever see!" Moniku roared.

Both Kuraiichi and Midoriichi smiled. They glowed brightly as their demonic auras swirled around them and grew. Soon Moniku was faced with two giant ravens, both released a high pitched shriek.

XX

Reo, Chita and Josei were almost there, when they saw Moniku, Midoriichi and Kuraiichi in their transformed states.

"It looks like things have gotten to their breaking points." Chita said.

"Come on, we have to pick up the pace!" Josei said.

Both boys nodded. 'Don't worry Ichi I'm coming!' Reo thought as they raced against the clock.

XX

Moniku darted across the ground, avoiding the demonic energy beams from Kuraiichi. She jumped up into the air, only to be intercepted by Midoriichi who caught the dog demon in her talons and forced her to the ground. Moniku was quick to kick the giant raven off with her back feet. Kuraiichi flew in to attack next, but Moniku was a step ahead. She released torrents of flame at her. Kuraiichi swerved out of the way as the flames incinerated the forest behind her.

The ground in front of Moniku detonated as Midoriichi blasted away at her. Midoriichi ceased the attack, wondering if she had hit Moniku at all. Her answer came when the giant dog demon shot forth from the smoke and knocked her out of the air with her paw.

Kuraiichi slammed into her, and they both crashed into the ground, as Kuraiichi began to rake her talons across Moniku's body drawing fresh blood. Kuraiichi didn't see Moniku's tail and was hit by it. She hit the ground causing it to shake, and to make matters worse Moniku began to set her on fire. Her plan was to completely incinerate Kuraiichi so the demon's undead body could not regenerate.

Luckily for Kuraiichi, Midoriichi was able to come to her rescue. She latched on to Moniku's back and carried her up into the sky. Moniku growled as she tried to free herself from the bird demon's grasp. Midoriichi was kind of enough to grant Moniku's request and relinquished her hold. As she plummeted back to the ground, Midoriichi blasted her with demonic energy. Once Moniku did hit the ground she barraged her with her bladed feather technique hoping to bind Moniku to the ground.

"This is a battle of monsters." Chisana-ichi said as she observed the battle from a safe distance.

Midoriichi had to buy Kuraiichi some time to regenerate her feathers so she could take flight again. Midoriichi hovered just above Moniku who was not moving. She knew the demon was not dead, but she would take advantage of the opportunity given to her. As Midoriichi prepared to fire a more powerful beam of demonic energy Moniku shot up striking Midoriichi in the chest with her flames.

Midoriichi cried out as she tried to fly higher, but the flames ended up grounding her, and she crashed into the ground. Moniku crawled to her feet as she walked over to Midoriichi. She watched as the flames ate away at most of her feathers. Moniku was pleased and ready to end Midoriichi. She raised her paw and was about to crush her skull, when a beam slammed into her back.

She turned to see Kuraiichi airborne again.

"You are really beginning to work my last nerves, I need you to die!" Moniku said as she rushed Kuraiichi.

Kuraiichi dodged her and shot bladed feathers into Moniku's hide, which melted away after a few seconds. Kuraiichi chased after Moniku, only for the dog demon to do a quick one-eighty and strike Kuraiichi hard with her paw. The blow was powerful enough to tear away at kuraiichi's undead skin revealing her bones and rotted organs in her chest.

The giant raven hit the ground, and tumbled along it, stopping next to Midoriichi. She looked over to see Moniku closing in.

"See it's like I said. Unstoppable." Moniku told her as she smacked her around.

Moniku however didn't want to play around anymore, and this time she was going to kill them both in one shot. She reared up onto her hind legs, as she looked up at the night sky. She charged it with a beam of her own corrupted demonic energy.

"Shinu! (Die)" She said.

However before she could hit them with the attack, she felt something grip her back. She glanced behind her to see another raven with red feathers had latched on to her. The bird was slowly pulling her away from Midoriichi and Kuraiichi.

Moniku swatted at the red raven with her tail knocking him away, and she turned to blast him with her demonic ball of energy, when she was knocked over by another red feathered raven, making her beam shoot off into the distance.

Moniku then realized that it was Midoriichi's younger twin brothers, Furui and Wakai.

"Sorry we're late, but we stopped to get some back up." Chita said. "Imagine how pissed these guys were to find out that you were responsible for their brother's and mother's deaths."

Moniku roared out in frustration. They were crawling out of the wood work like annoying little insects. Furui and Wakai decided to fly back in for another attack. She sensed them coming and ducked Wakai as he flew over. She turned quickly catching Furui by his right wing and began to swing him around. Seeing this Murasaki flew in to save his younger brother, but Moniku threw Furui into him, knocking them both out of the sky.

Angered Wakai tackled Moniku to the ground and attacked ferociously, pecking away at her. This only served to anger Moniku who removed the bird demon with one powerful smack to the head. She picked him up in her jaws and began to shake head, as she tore away at his flesh. She slammed on the ground several times before setting him a blaze, almost killing him in the process.

Still they had bought time for Midoriichi and Kuraiichi to recover from Moniku's attacks. They alongside Chita, Reo and Josei who transformed into her tiger form barraged Moniku. Josei went first, and latched on to Moniku's throat, trying to suffocate her. Moniku roared in pain as she fought against the Neko leader.

Eventually she was able to remove Josei, but by this time the others were already upon her. Reo and Chita jumped up and hit her in the eyes, temporarily blinding her. Moniku flailed about, thrashing at everything. Midoriichi flew up into the sky and charged what would be her final attack.

Moniku was being barraged from all sides, and she launched balls of fire in every direction hoping to hit her targets. She felt a sharp pain as Josei buried her claws in Moniku' hide and bit into her. Josei had to resist the burning sensation that came with coming in contact with the hell hounds skin.

Taking full advantage Kuraiichi gripped Moniku's back with her talons and began to drain her of her energy. Moniku tried to shake them off, but they held fast to her. She growled out of frustration, when she saw Murasaki and Furui flying towards her. She reared up so she could use her hind legs to fend them off. Moniku yelped in pain after Furui raked his talons across her face.

She released a torrent of fire at Furui and Murasaki, making them fly back. She saw that they were flying back around so she reared up.

"Chita, Reo! Get back!" She roared. The two boys did as they were instructed and put some distance between themselves and Moniku. They turned to see Moniku slam her front paws into the ground causing pillars of fire to shoot up and surround them.

"Mother!" Reo called out.

Murasaki was able to escape, but Furui took the attack head on and was knocked from the sky. When the pillars of fire subsided Josei and Kuraiichi were still holding on to Moniku. Josei's furred was burned in a few places, and Kuraiichi's feathers were once again set a blaze, but they held on to the dog demon.

Unfortunately the fire did more damage to Josei than she thought, and her grip loosened. Moniku took full advantage of the situation. Moniku began to buck wildly, causing Josei to further loosen her grip, when this happened Moniku delivered a powerful kick to the cat demon with her hind legs, making her tumble away.

She once more tried to shake Kuraiichi off, but she found herself lacking the strength to do so. Kuraiichi had succeeded in draining most of Moniku's energy, but she was weak from the battle too, and needed assistance.

"You there!" She said calling out to Murasaki. "Take over for me."

Murasaki flew over and switched places with Kuraiichi. His talons sunk deep into her flesh, and together he and Kuraiichi showered her with their bladed feathers, cutting Moniku deeply. Kuraiichi backed off and Murasaki began to flap his wings harder, as he lifted her up into the sky.

Moniku struggled but could not free herself. "You annoying little piece of shit. When I get free I'm going to rip you to shreds and when I do there's…" Moniku said when she stopped focusing on Murasaki she noticed Midoriichi and the fully charged beam she had waiting for her.

"Kuso(Shit)." She said.

Murasaki released his grip and Midoriichi fired the beam of demonic energy, piercing through Moniku. She screamed out as the force of the green energy beam carried her back down to the forest where she crashed.

Everyone gathered around waiting for the dust cloud to settle, on guard incase Moniku tried anything. When the dust settled and the smoke cleared, Moniku was in her regular form again. She had a whole in her torso and some of her internal organs had been incinerated, her hair which was usually kept in a ponytail, was unraveled and looked a mess. She was coughing up blood, as she struggled to stand. Each time she tried, she fell back down.

"Curse you all, Curse you!" She roared. "Don't think this is over, because we're far from that point." She said to them.

"Even now you refuse to acknowledge defeat." Midoriichi said walking up to her.

"That's because I have not been defeated, not while I can still draw power from Hell!" She roared.

"Moniku!" A voice echoed from the portal. The voice belonged to the Lord of Hell. "You failed on your promise to deliver said souls to me."

"N-No my lord. Just give me more strength and their lives will be yours." She said pleading with him.

"No! you have failed me, and have humiliated yourself enough. You will join the rest of your clan, here in Hell." He told her.

Moniku's eyes went wide as several chains shot out from the portal and wrapped around the torso, and her arms. Moniku kicked and screamed as she tried to resist the pull of the chains. Suddenly the pull on the chains stopped. Moniku looked up to see Midoriko standing there, her foot on the chains that were mere inches from pulling her into eternal damnation.

"Midoriko, my apprentice, my love." Moniku said with a smile.

"Love?" Midoriko said with an incredulous chuckle.

"Help me, Midoriko. Free me and we can run away and start over. We could have that family you've always wanted." Moniku told her.

Moniku saw the glare in Midoriko's eyes. "Midoriko, just let me explain."

"Why? You used me. I meant nothing to you, I was just a means to an end. Moniku you told me that even someone like me could be loved, why did you lie to me? Why did you give me false hope?" Midoriko asked her.

"Someone with as dark a nature as yours cannot be loved. You yourself have proved this. You want power not love, if you wanted love you would have never come to me. You were so easy to fool Midoriko, and to think I almost gotten away with it." Moniku told her.

Midoriko was hurt over her words, but there was some truth to them. She looked back to Moniku, the ebony skinned woman casting a glare.

"You say I have a dark nature, at least it's not as dark as yours." Midoriko said.

"You're right, you're much darker, at least I didn't kill my own mother." Moniku said with an dark grin.

Midoriko glared at her. "You know what? Go to Hell." She said removing her foot, and allowing the chains to continue dragging Moniku away.

"You can't escape my will. Not as long as you bear that mark." Moniku said.

The last thing they all heard was Moniku's laughter as she disappeared into the portal.

"Consider us over." Midoriko mumbled.

Midoriko turned when she saw the others surround her. Chisana-ichi stepped up to the front, glaring at her older sister.

"It's over Midoriko you lost." Chisana-ichi said to her.

"Yes, yes it is. I suppose you want to do away with me now, but that I cannot allow that to happen." Midoriko said.

"Too bad you're not calling the shots." Chita said as he, Reo and Chisana-ichi prepared to attack.

Midoriichi stepped in front of them. "No we're done fighting. The war is over, and it's time for us to all go home. All of us." She said looking at Midoriko.

"You can't be serious." Chisana-ichi said. "She killed mother, how could you just overlook that."

"It's what Kimiko would have wanted, we both know that." Midoriichi responded.

"But that's not what you want." Midoriko said.

"Can you blame them?" Chita said to her. "You turned your back on us, sold us out and attacked us. Do you really expect us to welcome you back with open arms, after what you did?"

"Hmph, there was once a time when I cared about what others thought of me, but if there was one thing that benefitted from being with Moniku. It's that the words of others no longer bother me." She said.

"So you're saying you have a guilt free conscious?" Chisana-ichi asked her. "You feel nothing after impaling your own mother?" she asked with a growl.

Midoriko sighed. "I don't expect you to understand me, but if it will put your mind at ease, I do regret it." Midoriko told her.

"Don't think that because you've had some change of heart, it'll erase the things you've done tonight." Reo told her.

Midoriko went silent for a bit. She looked down at the ground, but after a few seconds she looked back up, a different look was in her eyes, one they had never seen before.

"I didn't say I had a change of heart, well not a complete one anyway. I have path to follow, and I intend to follow it to the end. So I can guarantee you this will not be the last time we meet." She told them.

Midoriko looked at them, and then turned to leave.

"Where will you go?" Midoriichi asked her daughter.

Miidoriko shrugged. "I'm going to go find my own place in the world." She said, and turned back to look at her younger sister one last time.. "Chisana-ichi I'm not going to change, so you don't either." Before flying off, and leaving everyone behind again.

Well guys that's the end to this chapter. I hope you all enjoyed The Next Generation, I know I did and it was fun to write. I also included something special in Jodan's vision, a little hint to the crossover if you will as well as a look into the immediate future. But I'll explain that more in the one shot that wraps up this story. Next chapter the epilogue. I also wanted this chapter up by Friday, but family comes first, don't know where I'd be without them lol.
