One Year Later…
Kurt walked out of the bedroom as he did every day and went to start making breakfast for his little family. He peaked in on Rebecca making sure she was still asleep and hadn't gotten up as she had the last few days. She had been getting up before her dads and wanted to make herself breakfast and instead she had destroyed the kitchen. After checking on Rebecca he walked into the kitchen to see pancakes made and orange juiced poured. "What the hell?" Kurt asked to the room after walking in.
Rebecca came skipping in. "Morning, papa." She said giving him a kiss on the cheek.
"You were asleep. Who did this?" Kurt asked her.
"Me and daddy. He said today was a special day." She said stuffing her mouth with pancakes.
"I have been here for over a year and you still can't eat properly. Where have I gone wrong?" Kurt laughed handing the child a napkin.
"Today! Today is a special day!" Blaine sang as he walked into the kitchen. "I made breakfast."
"I saw. I'm shocked." Kurt said kissing Blaine. "Why is today so special?" Kurt asked him.
"Bec, why is today special?" Blaine asked the child and she got up and walked over to the men standing in the kitchen.
"Today is a special day." She repeated. "Because…" she trailed off handing Blaine a small box.
"A year." Kurt sighed remembering what Blaine had said exactly a year before this moment.
Blaine clutched onto the box and stared at Kurt. "One year ago you asked me where this was gonna be at this point. Well, I was right. We're here. Becca is louder. You're still starring in your show. And I'm a stay at home dad." Blaine started. "Then I told you that I planned on asking you to marry me." He said getting down on one knee. "Kurt Hummel, the most amazing man I have ever met. The most talented man I have ever met. Rebecca's papa. My one true love. Will you marry me?"
"You used the kid. How could I say no?" Kurt chuckled.
"Papa!" Rebecca shouted.
"Yes. I will marry you, Blaine." Kurt said. Blaine got up and kissed Kurt.
"This is still gross." Rebecca said making a face pointed towards her dads. Blaine pulled away from Kurt and they looked at each other before attacking Rebecca with kisses placed on her cheeks. "Stop it!" She yelled.
"Forget the pancakes. Today we celebrate with a big breakfast at some restaurant." Blaine said taking Rebecca's plate from the table.
"What happened with the food, Blaine?" Kurt asked him.
"I may have screwed it up and she was told not to eat them because they weren't any good." Blaine said walking out of the room.
"Seriously Becca, how did you survive without me?" Kurt asked her opening the door to get ready for the day.
"I told you lots of going out." She said laughing and going to get dressed.
Later that day Kurt walked into rehearsal. "Before we start anything. I have an announcement." He said walking up onto the stage. "Blaine and I are getting married." He said and watched his co-workers erupt in applause.
"It's about time." Sydney told him giving him a hug.
Four Months Later…
"So Mr. Hummel-Anderson, what would you like to do first as newlyweds?" Blaine asked Kurt slowly untucking his shirt.
"Put the kid to bed." Kurt said walking over to the couch and picking up a sleeping Rebecca in her red flower girl dress.
"You are no fun." Blaine laughed giving Rebecca a kiss on the forehead and watched Kurt take her back to her bedroom. "Fuck, I'm a lucky man." He said to himself and sat down on the couch.
"You know being the grooms and the fathers of a six year old really screwed up her sleeping." Kurt said walking back out to Blaine.
"I'm sure it did." Blaine laughed. "Come here, husband."
"I love you calling me that." Kurt said sitting down with Blaine. "And I love you."
"It's only been a few hours, but I am loving being your husband." Blaine told him pulling him closer so they were lying down with Kurt on top of Blaine on the couch.
"How did I find you?" Kurt asked drawing circles on Blaine's chest.
"You're insanely talented. And I'm pretty talented. And you're amazing and I needed you." Blaine said kissing his head again.
"I think that we needed each other." Kurt told him kissing his chest. "I'm never letting go of this."
"Never."
Two Years Later…
"Kurt, when do you want to tell her?" Blaine asked as they walked into the house from Rebecca's third grade choir concert.
Rebecca had walked into the kitchen to get a snack before she was told to go to bed. "We have two months before he's here. Now. Let's just get it over with." Kurt said. "Bec, could you come in here please?" Kurt called out.
Rebecca walked into the living room with a bagel in her mouth. "Yes, papa?" She asked sitting down on the couch.
"Blaine?" Kurt said trying to get Blaine to tell her.
"Oh, no. This is all you, honey." Blaine said patting Kurt on the back.
"Bec, daddy and I have been talking about having another baby." Kurt started and saw Rebecca's face light up.
"Really? When?" She asked excitedly.
"Um, well it's complicated. Papa and I can't have a baby like when Veronica and I had you." Blaine told her. "We had to get help from a couple of people."
"Is it a boy or girl? I want a little sister." Rebecca started to ramble about what she wanted to do with a little sister.
"Hey." Blaine said shocking her out of the rambling. "The new baby is a boy. He will be here in two months."
"What's his name?" She asked sounding a little disappointed she was getting a brother instead of a sister.
"We've decided to name him after papa's brother." Blaine told her. "His name will be Finn James Hummel-Anderson." He finished.
"Why am I the only one with one last name?" Rebecca asked. "My last name in Anderson. Everyone else's in Hummel-Anderson. Why don't I have papa's last name too?"
"We've never really discussed that, have we?" Blaine asked looking at Kurt. "I guess we could change it. If papa wants to adopt you?"
Kurt smiled. "Well, I don't need to adopt you to call you mine, but if you want me to I will." Kurt told Rebecca.
"Will you?" Rebecca asked him.
"Of course. Come here, kid." He said pulling his daughter in for a hug. He looked over at Blaine. Everything was perfect. He was finally adopting Rebecca and they had a son on the way. He was married to the man of his dreams and nothing would ever change any of it.
Ten Years Later…
"Rebecca Hummel-Anderson! We don't have all day! Get out here." Blaine yelled as Kurt was tying Finn's tie on his suit. "She takes forever."
"She's a teenage girl." Kurt responded.
"Dad! Papa! I got in!" She yelled as she ran out to the living room of the three bedroom Manhattan apartment.
"What?" Kurt and Blaine said in unison.
"You got in?" Kurt asked her.
"Yes!" She yelled.
"Becca, I'm so proud of you." Blaine said hugging his daughter. "Julliard."
"Thank you both." She said looking at her dads. "If you hadn't put me into all of those classes or into Dalton. I wouldn't be going to the school of my dreams."
"Can we go now?" Finn asked the room. "I don't like this suit." He said pulling at his tie.
"How is he our kid?" Kurt asked looking at his son. "Is your tie too tight?" Kurt asked receiving a nod from the boy. Kurt bent down and loosened the tie. "Okay, Bec, do you have your cap and gown?" Kurt asked the girl.
"They're in my hands, Papa." Rebecca laughed.
"My baby girl is graduating high school." Blaine said pulling Rebecca in for a hug.
"Dad, please don't." Rebecca mumbled into his shirt. Kurt came in behind her and joined the hug. The men started to kiss her face like they did when she was little. "Stop it!" She shouted.
"Let's go." Finn said walking to the door.
"The boy has spoken." Kurt said pulling away. "Come on or we're gonna be late."
The small family raced to Dalton so Rebecca could graduate high school.
Kurt, Blaine, and Finn all sat in the third row waiting for Rebecca's name to be announced. Blaine was holding a video camera. Kurt was wiping away tears and Finn couldn't stop yawning.
"Rebecca Hummel-Anderson." The headmaster of the school said. The crowd applauded for the girl as she walked across the stage to receive her diploma. The teen turned towards her dads and blew them a kiss from the stage.
Twenty Years Later…
"Dad! Papa!" Rebecca yelled walking into her dads' apartment with her husband and three children.
"Hey Bec!" Finn said walking out from the kitchen. "Robert." He said shaking his brother-in-law's hand. "How are my favorite nieces and nephew?" He asked the children standing there.
"Where's Aunt Gina?" One of the girls asked running for Finn's wife.
"Where are our parents?" Rebecca asked her little brother. "Usually my kids jump on dad and knock him over while papa stands and laughs. What's going on?"
"Granddad!" One of the girls yelled.
"Found them." Robert said chuckling. "At least dad."
"Grandpa!" The girl yelled.
"And papa." Finn said.
"Kids." Blaine said walking out of his bedroom with Kurt following him.
Rebecca kissed her dads on the cheek and the men shook each other's hands.
"Alright, dad, what is this one about?" Finn asked as they all sat down around the table for dinner.
"Why do your papa and I need a reason to call family dinner?" Blaine asked them.
"You don't. Normally you do, but you don't." Rebecca told them. "We have dinner together every Sunday, dad. It's unusual you want us here on a weekday. That's all." She explained.
"Wait. It's your anniversary." Finn said.
"No it's not." Rebecca said. "They got married in February not September."
"When papa got the understudy job for the show. You remember that story? They day they first met."
"I walked into the theatre to see papa on stage." Rebecca started.
"His blue eyes were sparkling. His voice echoing through the theatre." Finn added.
"He was flawless."
"Enough." Kurt said throwing a roll at his children.
"Yes, it was thirty-three years ago today when we first met." Blaine said taking Kurt's hand.
"Here's to thirty more." Robert said holding up his glass.
They toasted and Blaine leaned over to kiss Kurt.
"That's still gross." Rebecca said. Earning a dirty look from her parents.
