"I am only going to ask this once," Germany stated with as much authority as he could muster, "What are you doing, Prussia?"

Prussia glanced up from where he had been huddled over the cupboard pulling everything out of it and sorting the cans into different piles according to content and age. The albino grinned as though the answer was the most obvious thing in the world. "I need supplies."

Dare he ask? With a sigh, the German decided he may as well. "Supplies for what?"

"For when we are attacked, of course!" Prussia laughed as he returned to dragging everything out. "Really West, you should be getting prepared too!"

Germany lowered his coffee mug, growing tense. "Attacked? Are the Allies headed this way?"

"Allies? What? No!" Prussia shook his head, staring at his brother like he was crazy for even thinking such an idea.

Whatever game they were playing, Germany felt he had enough of it as his patience waned. "Then who is attacking us?"

"Italy is." Prussia answered from within the cupboard.

The blonde frowned in disbelief. "Italy?"

"Did the awesome me stutter?"

Germany blinked several times and tightened his grip on his coffee. This was not the best start to his morning. "Why is Italy going to attack us?"

"Bitte, West! You saw how he was the other night!" Prussia reemerged from his search and his red eyes shifted suspiciously around the room. "You know how he gets now! You're lucky he hasn't tried to slit your throat in the middle of the night yet." He continued in a whisper.

Germany raised an eyebrow. "Why are you whispering?"

"Because he could be listening in."

"He's not here."

"You don't know that!" Prussia hissed, glaring into every corner. "And he may not have to be here in order to spy on us!"

"I cannot believe I am hearing this." Germany groaned, dragging his free hand down his face. "And Italy isn't angry. I spoke with him yesterday."

Prussia stilled becoming oddly serious. "He hides it well."

"Verstummen!" Germany ordered, heading for the coffee pot to pour himself another cup full. It was far too early in the morning to deal with these shenanigans from his own brother. "And why are you wearing your old clothes?"

Prussia blinked several times and tugged at the white Teutonic Cloak he had draped around his shoulders. "It seemed appropriate."

"How so?"

"Won a lot of good battles in this thing." Prussia sighed with the nostalgia,"Figured it would give me some luck for the future one."

"There will be no battle! Especially not with someone we are currently allied with!" Germany insisted, bracing himself against one of his counters to keep steady against the impending fit of rage he was about to have. "And what about the helmet?"

Prussia rapped his fist against the WWI style military helmet with a smirk. "I have to protect one of my favorite features."

"You finally came to a decision about which of you features was your favorite?" The German looked genuinely surprised. It had been a topic of debate for the albino about which of his features he loved the most, and one Germany had been unfortunate witness to for longer than he could remember.

"Yes, I have decided I love them all equally." Prussia stated, burying himself back within his work while his younger brother rolled his eyes to the ceiling. He briefly considered just kicking the albino out of the kitchen all together, but decided he would much rather Prussia finish whatever he was doing and clean up the mess when he was done. Still, he was glad when Japan finally arrived, greeted him calmly and added to the sensible population inside his house. Germany invited the shorter nation into his kitchen where he hesitated at the unusual Prussian sight.

"Ohiyo, Prussia…" Japan called out, unsure of what was happening.

Prussia paused in his task to grin at the visitor. "Yo Japan! Looking awesome as usual!"

"Arigato, and you look…" Japan's dark eyes searched for the correct word to describe what he saw, "Kimyōna… today?"

The Prussian laughed as he ducked back inside the cupboard and Japan turned a questioning look to his host. Germany just shook his head. "Don't ask."

"What did you have in mind for today's meeting?" Japan decided to move on to business and ignoring the rustling, clunking, and mumbling sounds from the other side of the room.

"We need to go over a few of our trade deals, if you don't mind." Germany stated while he sipped at the remainder of his coffee, "and if we have time in the afternoon I think we should use it to train."

"And when will Italy be arriving?"

A large thunk, followed by a string of curses preluded Prussia backing out of the cupboard with wide eyes. "Italy is coming here?!"

"Ja…" Germany stated slowly, massaging his temple as his brother began to scramble around the floor.

"Scheiße, West, I'm not ready!" Prussia collected as many cans as he could possibly carry and tore out of the kitchen as though something were chasing him, managing to only drop two of the cans from his arms in the process.

Both Germany and Japan watched him leave without saying a word, then turned and began discussing the events of the day like nothing had happened.

Once within the safety of his own room, Prussia kicked his door shut and turned all of the locks that he had recently added to it then stacked his food supply along the opposite wall, behind the bed and desk he had rearranged to make a bunker. He did a quick perimeter check to make sure nothing was lurking that had gotten in while he had been away, before settling behind his fortifications and picking up his journal to jot down a few notes for the day.

Day 824(-ish),

While searching for food, West informed me the enemy will soon be invading. Preparations are not yet complete, but they are improving slowly.

I need to convince West that bringing a cannon into the house is vital for our safety.
