The girls were still in the bathroom and the guys were getting impatient.
"Ugh, where are they?" Beast Boy groaned.
"They're girls." Cyborg said simply.
Beast Boy sighed and ate his chicken nuggets that he got off the kids menu, drowning them in ketchup.
"Are we don't with the investigation?" Starfire asked as everyone exited the stalls and began washing their hands.
"Yeah I think so I'm pretty sure there's nothing here." Black Bullet answered, drying her hands on the paper towels.
They all exited the bathroom and sat down at the table.
"Finally!" Beast Boy sighed as they all sat down. "What the heck took you guys so long?"
"Wait how long were we in th-"
Turtle Time was interrupted by a sudden explosion of red smoke. Innocent people screamed and retreated from the dark figure standing in the middle of the red mess.
The Titans immediately went into fighting mode, and the dark figure emerged from the cloud of red, revealing himself as Red X.
"Red X.." Robin growled, pulling out his staff.
"The Titans?" Red X said, confused.
Mind Whisperer immediately hid her face in her arm, feeling exposed Without her mask.
"Why are you here!" Black Bullet spat at him.
"Well," Red X said, walking around his enemies. "I was going to loot this restaurant, but I see there are other opportunities here." He said, getting close to Mind Whisperer's face threateningly.
She had had enough of him. She whipped her head around and punched him square in the cheek, knocking him over and making him fall on the ground. She walked over to him to beat the living crap out of him.
"Ohhhh dear..." Turtle Time muttered, stepping back.
"This is gonna be good." Black Bullet said, crossing her arms as she watched Mind Whisperer approach the enemy bravely.
as Red X was about to leap up and attack her, she quickly pinned him to the ground. "Who do you work for!" She screamed as he struggled from her grip.
"No one!" He spat back at her. He finally regained some strength and pounced onto her like a cat, pinning her to the floor.
"Should we help her?" Robin asked Black Bullet as they watched the two maul each other.
"No." She replied. They continued to watch as Mind Whisperer struggled against her enemy.
"I don't normally flirt with my enemies," Red X said. "But you've got some pretty eyes there."
Mind Whisperer stopped struggling, and looked into his mask. She had a plan...
She made a girly, innocent face, smirking slightly as he loosened his grip on her. For a second nothing happened. Then BAM! She kneed him square in the crotch.
The Titans laughed as they watched Red X roll off of her, crouching in pain. She stood up quickly and stepped on his chest, keeping him on the ground. She pulled out her cell and called the cops, for everyone else at the restaurant was distracted by the action.
But it wasn't over. In panic, Red X grabbed his grappling hook instead of his taser, and made a sloppy aim at Mind Whisperers face. The hook ejected and made a large gash in her left cheek, causing her to scream in surprise and pain. She dropped her phone and held her cheek, crouching on the ground. What was a funny, wrestling match went way too far. The Titans ran over to Red X in attack and rage, Black Bullet and Turtle Time leading. Starfire quickly ran to her, and held her as Mind Whisperer held her damaged cheek.
Cyborg pinned Red X to the wall, all of the Titans screaming and yelling insults about how it went too far. Mind Whisperer felt rage heat up her face and her neck. She got up quickly, and used her powers to shove Cyborg out of her way. Before Red X could escape, she held up her hand and Red X was violently shoved against the wall once again. Mind Whisperer's energy was focused on his neck. She held him 3 feet against the wall by his neck. She was choking him with her powers. Her open hand closed into a fist and Red X was struggling. Blood oozed in massive proportions from her face.
"Stop." Robin said.
She ignored him.
"Mind Whisperer!" Turtle Time said.
Raven quickly approached her. "I know what you're feeling!" She yelled. "But this isn't going to help! Stop!"
Mind Whisperer's face broke. She opened her hand, and Red X fell from her telekinetic grip. Coughing and spluttering and holding his neck. His breath came in loud, short gasps as he crouched to the floor.
Black Bullet walked over to her angrily. "This is NOT what we signed up for!" She yelled into her face. "We are NOT here to destroy! We are here to save!"
"Stop!" Turtle Time said, going in between them. "She didn't mean to!" she yelled at Black Bullet.
Mind Whisperer left, running out of the restaurant and flying off into the dark.
Black Bullet shook her head and took out the pair of handcuffs she brought. She dragged the weakened Red X outside and handcuffed him to a nearby pole for the cops to deal with. Everyone walked to the T car in silence.
The ride home was quiet. Cyborg was thinking about how he was going to have to help Mind Whisperer with her cut.
Mind Whisperer arrived home and immediately started nursing her wound. She took a wet cloth from the cupboard in the kitchen and started to clean up the blood on her face. It hurt really bad. She held back her tears as she tried to clean the wound directly. It was a lot deeper than she thought.
The other Titans arrived at the tower and saw Mind Whisperer in the kitchen, sitting on the table and holding a bloody cloth to her face. She looked at them and quickly looked away.
"Are you okay?" Beast Boy asked.
Mind Whisperer took the bloody cloth away from her face and looked at it. Everyone leaned to the side to see her gash.
"Oh my gosh!" Cyborg said, running over to her. He held her face up to the light to see the wound better. "Holy crud that's deep!"
"dude you're gonna have the coolest scar ever!" Beast Boy said. Mind Whisperer groaned.
"Come on," Cyborg said. She followed him to the medical room and she sat down in a chair as Cyborg examined the gash carefully. "I think that we can get Raven in here to help heal it." She nodded and Cyborg called Raven on his Tpod.
She arrived and kneeled next to Mind Whisperer.
"I'll leave you guys to it." Cyborg said, leaving the room to the other Titans.
Raven closed her eyes and began to heal her cheek. The wound began shrinking until all that was there was a pink scar across her cheek.
"Thank you." Mind Whisperer said, smiling at Raven.
"You're welcome." She replied. "Come on."
They walked out of the medical room and back into the living room.
"Guys," Mind Whisperer said. "I'm sorry."
"Hey, don't beat yourself up." Robin said. "You're very strong."
"Sick scar." Beast Boy complimented.
Mind Whisperer chuckled. "Black Bullet," she walked over to her and hugged her. "I'm sorry." She hugged her back and forgave her.
"You should try meditation." Raven said. "Next time I meditate I'll let you try it with me." Mind Whisperer nodded in agreement.
"I feel as though Raven should teach you her ways of self control over her anger. " Starfire said. "And since you have similar powers, she could help you learn how to use them in a more civilized way." Robin said.
"I understand." Mind Whisperer said. "I'm going to bed. I need to think." She said, and she left the room, holding her cheek.
"Guys I'm sorry." Black Bullet said. "She gets...angry sometimes."
"We get it. She isn't used to her powers is she?" Robin said.
"There was...an accident. She hates talking about it." Turtle Time said.
"Jeez you're making it sound like she killed someone!" Black Bullet said. She rolled her eyes. "Basically when she was five she was kidnapped and experimented on. These crazy...scientists injected something into her. Her mom never believed her obviously, when she tried to tell her. But when she was 8 she got mad and...figured out she had powers. They become ridiculously strong when she has certain emotions. One of them being anger."
"Pretty awesome backstory." Cyborg said. Turtle Time and Black Bullet gave him a look.
"Well, right now all we can do is be there for her." Robin said. Starfire nodded in agreement.
"I don't know about y'all," Cyborg said. "But I'm dead tired."
