Bruce's eyes sparked as pure adrenaline shot through his system. It had been awhile since he had let the Other Guy out. And he wanted OUT. Fear and joy and anger and passion all mixed up at once. Every emotion scorched through his mind and into his blood, coursing through his veins like a poison. But if this poison allowed him to save his sister, he welcomed it. His shirt was getting tighter. It was getting harder to breathe when all at once, it started to tear. His pants stretched. It was because of these occasions that he wore elastic waistbands. A bullet hit him, but his skin was tough enough now that it didn't pierce him. His senses were hyperactive. He could hear and smell and see and taste and feel EVERYTHING. He felt the vibrations of these tiny men's blood rushing. He could smell their fear, taste their sweat. He could hear their little hearts beating. This is what it meant to be him. Because he couldn't stop it. The lights, the sounds, the smells, they hurt. There was so much. It drove him insane. But he focused on the one thing that mattered right now. Emily. Focus

...

Emily snapped back in her body. Through Pacho's ears, she had heard footsteps. 4 people, at least. And something big. Was it Bruce? She couldn't take that chance. Groaning, she tried to raise herself off of her cot. As soon as she was an inch up, she almost screamed and dropped back down. Despite the surrounding darkness, she saw swirls of mist before her eyes. Maybe I'll rest… just a little bit… That was her last coherent thought before her body betrayed her and the darkness reclaimed her once again.

A man was sitting at a desk surrounded by monitors. It had been an eventful day with Señor Gonzales' "guest" having decided to create a small riot. Perhaps "small" wasn't the word, being that she had taken down not only Señor Gonzales himself, but half a dozen of the androids as well. It was incredible how much damage one woman could cause. He was so deep in thought as he remembered the past events of the day that he didn't notice as one by one the cameras went out. When he finally looked up at the screens, he saw as the last one went fuzzy. Before the signal went out though, he could've sworn he saw a blur. He reached for the walkie on his belt, but before he could reach it, he felt a prick at the back of his neck.

"Don't. Move." said an American voice behind him.

...

All was quiet in the courtyard. A lone dog was lying in the shade panting. There were Androids positioned motionless throughout the compound. There was stray wires and parts strewn about on the ground from previous that day. Their robotic eyes were sweeping the area for any abnormalities. What they didn't notice was what was just above their line of vision. A red-headed woman was running along the rooftops, leaping between buildings. Before their circuits could even process it, their main hard drives were being torn through their backs.

So far, they hadn't raised a single alarm. But that was soon to end. Bruce and Steve were patiently waiting outside the fence for the signal from the others. They didn't notice the lone guard up in one of the trees until it was too late. The piercing whistle immediately drew the attention of other guards in the towers. Quickly, Steve incapacitated the man. He found killing distasteful. One of the tower guards yelled and several ran down to investigate the disturbance. As soon as they saw the two Avengers, they began to shoot.

The Hulk bellowed in rage. These insects first dare to harm his little sister, his sweet Emily, then they think to shoot at him as though they could hurt him as well? It was too much. He ran at the squad of men, knocking them over. He grabbed one by the legs and flung him across the yard. He grabbed another and threw him at the remaining men. He would have killed them despite the Captain's shouting if he hadn't suddenly felt a small, familiar warmth in his mind. One he hadn't felt for a very long time. His little sister was close and she was in pain, so very weak. He could feel her. Enraged by the pain he felt for her, he tore through the compound, not even slowing a little bit as he ripped through the buildings. Suddenly, there was Tony Stark hovering in front of him. He pulled up. The Other Guy had learned not to hurt his friends.

"Banner!" Stark barked at him. "Stop! You handle these clowns. We'll get the girl. Like this, you might topple the building on top of her." Bruce grunted.

"Hulk… save… Em..." He managed.

"No, Bruce. We'll take care of her. I promise." Suddenly, bullets were ricocheting off Ironman's armor. They turned and saw one of the drones shooting at them. With a growl, the Hulk brought a single fist down on the robot, and it crumpled like paper. He then looked at his friend, nostrils flaring.

"Keep… safe" He demanded.

"Of course. After all, that's why we came here, isn't it?" Tony asked. Bruce nodded, then turned to the oncoming androids. They had seen and analyzed how he had destroyed their companion, and reacted accordingly. Instead of shooting straight on as usual, they used their built in rocket boosters and stabilizers and swarmed around him, darting away from his swinging fists and shooting when he was exposed. They barely scratched him, although the shots would have been enough to take down an elephant bull. To the Hulk, they were no more than annoying bee stings. But sting they did. He swatted at them angrily, managing to crush a few, but it seemed like whenever he destroyed one, there was two more swarming around him.

As much as Tony wanted to stay behind to help his friend, he had a job. Maybe they could change the plan a little bit…. "Cap! Go find the girl! I'll stay with Bruce."

"That's not the plan, Stark. We stick with the plan!" Steve argued. He hated when Tony did this…

"We didn't count on these things flying, either. We need air support, which I can do. So unless you're suddenly able to fly, get out of here!"

Steve couldn't argue with the point behind the billionaire's words, as much as he wanted to. Stark was right. They hadn't counted on that. "Fine!" He yelled. "Just take care of these bastards!"

"I got your back, Cap." Tony told his team mate as he blasted yet another robot off of their green friend's back. Steve Rogers nodded as he ran off in the direction of the center of the base. Where ever this girl was, he would find her. Got to hurry. If something happens to her, who knows what Bruce will do. He would never admit how much it would crush him to fail in this simple task, or how curious he was to meet this mysterious woman.
