Naruto was not a happy camper.
It was one thing to learn that people knew about his parents but didn't tell him so far, but an entirely different thing that it was by order of the Hokage 'until he got chuunin'.
Bah. Even that wouldn't have been so bad, had it not been for the fact that Jiji had been lying to his face about it for as long as he could remember. Despite his hyperactivity and less than stellar performance at the academy he would have liked a sincere 'I can only tell you when you're older', more than a false 'I don't know.'
Oh, he wouldn't have immediately accepted it, kept poking and prodding, something like that he could admit, but he liked to think he had grown up a little since the first time he asked that question.
Nevertheless, the sooner he made Chuunin, the sooner he would be deemed ready for the answer.
As Akiyama had pointed out, he couldn't go to any of the teachers. Jiji was out to, because he never able to teach, or at even get him a decent teacher.
Even he knew the old man was being stonewalled at every turn by the council, and had eventually just given up on someone willing to go against them and their own hatred, rather than any real disinterest, as it was getting nowhere anyway.
But it still meant he had no teacher...
Unless..!
