Twenty-seven people who hopefully read this I hope are very happy to find this update in their email. I still very much thank those twenty-seven and those twenty-four who favorited.
Sorry for three month delay but it was a busy summer. My job is mainly summer work, holidays and when the boss calls me in. Now that school is in session my life can revolve around fictional characters.
With that said, I will definitely try now to finish this story before the holidays come up. Try is the key word here people.
Anyways, this chapter doesn't have much Johnny though, I wanted to have a little bit of fun and humor in this very dramatic angst story. Long author note over, enjoy.
"Well?" Sue asked with a demanding tone. The two redheads look to each other and seem to have a silent conversation.
"Answer me!" Sue yells out and glares at them. "Yeah, I'm not easily intimidated Storm" Natasha says casually.
"Really? Ever been confronted by someone you can't see?" Sue asks and with that she disappears. Her clothes are still visible though and Natasha chuckles with amusement.
"Nice plan Storm" she chids but then Natasha tenses ever so slightly as the clothes are shed.
"You do realize there are men living here Sue" Pepper calls out and Sue gives a small chuckle of her own. "I'm not naked Pepper, Reed created suits that adapt to our power" she calls out mischievously.
Then Sue becomes silent and stealthy. She decides to "attack" Pepper first and Pepper screams as Sue tickles her. "I just didn't want to say the wrong thing and piss you off Sue!" Pepper cries as she falls off her chair and helplessly tries to fight off her "attacker."
Sue gives a triumphant smile and Pepper takes deep breaths as the tickling ends. Before Sue can "attack" Nat though she is grabbed. Clint smirks at Sue as he hugs her tightly against his body.
"Give it up Sue, I am trying to help you" he whispers to her and Sue turns visible.
"How…" Sue begins and Clint only gives a laugh that gives Sue goose bumps. "I never miss Sue, that's all you need to know" he whispers. It sends another set of shivers down her spine.
Natasha is then beside Sue. "I will give you credit on your stealth Sue. But never ever try it on an assassin" she whispers and Sue rolls her eyes now as she realizes their only teasing her.
"Fine…forgive me for trying to lighten the mood" she mutters. She pulls away from Clint and folds her arms over her chest.
"Go hold her Clint" Pepper whispers to Clint as they watch the poor woman cry softly.
"I already did" he whines and she gives him a look. "That wasn't a hug Clint Barton! It won't kill you two to have friends you know"
"Hey, we moved in here didn't we?" Natasha shot back. "Yes, you've done well the last few months of befriending the other avengers and myself. Now we have Johnny Storm in our hands who is trying not to die and his sister is freaking out. What she needs is support" Pepper retorted.
"Fine, I guess it won't kill me" Clint mutters and moves to Sue. "Come here Sue"
"It's okay Clint, you don't have to if you're uncomfortable. We shouldn't even be here imposing on you all" Sue told him.
"I think you were meant to be here Sue. Your brother needed more help so I think the lord carried him here so Tony could help out. Reed and Tony are very intelligent men, I just know Johnny will pull through" Pepper tells Sue who nods.
"Then why can't I stop crying?" Sue asks.
"Because you chicks love to cry?" Clint asks and Pepper smacks him and he chuckles.
"I didn't say it was a bad thing Pep. It's why women and men live together so when the emotions bubble over we can hold them until their better" he says.
"I'll take it Hawkeye, thanks" Sue tells him and he gently gives her a hug. It lasts about thirty seconds before he has a mischievous boyish smile on his handsome face.
Sue laughs hysterically as he tickles her. She goes invisible and manages to get away and then a pillow comes at him on its own. He laughs as he lets her hit him before grabbing his own.
A half hour later the fight ends and Clint picks up Sue gently. "Let's watch a fun movie to keep the laughter going" he suggests and she nods. They end up watching Madagascar and it does help lift her spirits. She's asleep before it ends though which is probably a good thing.
Tony calls Pepper's phone as Johnny keeps asking about his sister. Pepper relays to him about the assassins being nice and making her smile. Tony tells Johnny after he hangs up and he smiles.
"Good, she should be happy. She doesn't need to cry over me, I've been nothing but a pain to her" he says but his voice is very raspy and talking is painful.
"Don't start talking like that kid. Those who truly love you can forgive any stupid behavior" Tony scolds.
"Yeah, I guess" Johnny whispers. "Guess it don't….matter…now" he stammers after and then goes silent.
"Crap…he stopped breathing Bruce!" Tony cries as he checks over the now very still Johnny Storm.
I know, evil cliffhanger hee hee. Sorry.
