Author's note: Hey guys, so several people asked me to write an epilogue, and instead of just sending it to them privately I decided i might as well just publish it and make my life easier. At first I was really leaning toward making it private and not publishing it because i had already made the ending, and i quite liked it and so i thought leaving it alone was best but then again i felt bad for "hiding" stuff from you all so here it is. It's really short, just a little insight into Hermione and Draco's life after. Hope you enjoy!

The Missing Piece Epilogue

ONE YEAR AFTER PROPOSAL

"She's going to be so beautiful." Draco Malfoy spoke softly, in an almost dream like state. He was looking down upon his day old baby girl, who he held with extreme care in his arms as if she were made of the most delicate material. The newly born half-blood witch merely blinked at her father, with her large brown eyes she inherited from her mother.

Hermione Malfoy smiled to herself, regarding the father and daughter from her chair across from them. Next to her was an immense floor to ceiling window, in which large snowflakes could be seen falling from the sky slowly, landing among the white ground. Overall she felt quite peaceful, despite the stress leading up to her daughter's birth. Hermione remembered countless arguments she had with Draco over the name of the girl. Hermione wanted a simple name, while Draco longed for a more unique, prestigious one. In the end they had decided on Athena, which was simple enough for Hermione, and unique enough for Draco.

"You're going to be the luckiest girl on the planet, daddy is going to spoil you rotten. And you'll live in the best house, have the best toys, and the prettiest clothes, and you're going to be loved by all because you are a Malfoy, and you will be raised like a Malfoy—"

"Absolutely no way is she going to be raised like a Malfoy." Hermione cut in, interrupting Draco's reverie. For a second, Draco didn't seem to quite understand what his wife was saying, but understanding soon dawned on him, and he smiled.

"I mean, you're going to be raised like a new and improved Malfoy." Draco amended, speaking to his daughter who squirmed in his arms. Suddenly, Draco's grey eyes lit up as if he had light itself behind his pupils, and exclaimed, "Little Athena has smiled at me! She, she actually smiled!"

It was at that moment where Hermione felt complete. She had everything she could possibly want, plus a healthy baby girl, who was and would always be Hermione's pride and joy. She had a husband who loved her more than any other, and who went at great lengths to recapture her heart. He was a man who fought for her in every sense of the word, and she for him. And it was at that moment she realized, everything she had been searching for her whole life was now here in front of her, holding the most beautiful girl in the world: Draco Malfoy had been the missing piece.
