"Welcome to the what?" Hanna questions me with a confused look on her face.

"The Kalos region. Its the sixth region in the world of pokemon. Newest one in fact...well maybe a year old but still." I say with a simple shrug.

Emily tilts her head. "The sixth one? There are more?"

"Yes. There are six in total. Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova and Kalos. Right now, we are in the Kalos region. There are five other ones as well...just not well known." I look around my room for a globe. Once I found one, I point to the Kalos region. "This is where we are."

Emily looks at the globe and gasp. "I know this area of the world. There's the northern part of France or Metropolitan France as some people call it."

"Yeah. Kalos design is based off that. Here's Unova. Notice where I am pointing."

Hanna joins us. "New York? This...Unova or whatever is based off New York?"

"More like just based of Manhattan and the eastern Jersey. The other four…" I spin the globe and point again. "...are based off Japan."

"That's kinda cool." Emily says with a "not bad" look on her face. "So why are you so calm about all this?"

I fall back on the bed and let out a happy sigh. "Because for once, we aren't dropped off in a really hostile environment. For once...we won't be fighting ghosts and demons...well maybe fight a ghost pokemon or two but that's beside the point. For the first time in a long time...we can go on an adventure without worrying about something killing us. Sure...I want to know why the rift dropped us off here but hell! I want to have some fun too."

Hanna jumps on and smiles. "Okay."

I look her in the face. "What?"

She sighs then smiles. "I said okay. We will go on this…" She twirls her hand in the way that people do when they are thinking. "...pokemon adventure thing."

Emily sits on the edge of the bed and smiles. "Yeah. You're right. It will be nice to go on an adventure without having to worry about getting killed. So yeah...let's do it."

I smile the biggest smile I can give. "Thanks guys. Seriously…" I am cut off with Hanna pecking me on the lips.

"Oh shut it nerd and tells us what we need to do." Hanna says with a smile on her face.

"Gladly."

After giving the girls a crash course on the world of Pokemon and telling them if we ever met the others girls they wouldn't know who we are, we was ready to head out the door and into the world. My mom has a huge smile on her face. "Do be careful out there. Emily...please keep my daughter and Hanna out of trouble. You know how those two can get into all types of things."

Emily laughs and Hanna stomps her left foot. "I take offense to that." Everyone looks at Hanna and her shoulders slump a bit. "Okay. So I can get in trouble from time to time but Sam is much worse. All the bat…"

My mom throws her hand up to stop Hanna. "I know this Hanna. This is why I want Emily to look after you two. She's the most responsible out of you three."

I shrug my shoulders. "She has a point Peach."

Hanna looks at me then my mom and shrugs her shoulders. "Okay. Fair point."

My mom smiles. "Oh! Here girls. Your bags." She hands us messager bags. Emily's bag has a design of the dive ball. Hanna's bag has a design of the ultra ball. My bag has a design of a great ball. "I pack some lunch for you. Also giving you $3,000 each to spend."

"Whoa! $3,000?!" Hanna says wide eyed.

"Trust me Hanna, we will probably burn through it quickly. Potions and repels can be costly this early." I say. placing a hand on Hanna's shoulder. "Thanks mom." I give her a kiss on the cheek. "Come on girls. Let's go." We wave goodbye to my mom and exit the house. When we walk outside for the first time, I feel the sun and breathe in the air. "Wow. It feels amazing out here."

Hanna looks around and breaths in the air. "So that's how air smell without all the crap in it from busy city life."

Emily looks over at the Ryhorn sitting in the shade. "Hey Sam. What is that lying there?"

I walk over to Ryhorn and softly rubs its back. "This is a Ryhorn. Its a rock type pokemon. I think its my mom." As we leave the Ryhorn in peace, two people come into the yard.

"Hi! Welcome to Vaniville Town!" An all too familiar voice calls out to us. The voice waves to us.

"Hello." The other familiar voice says calmly.

"I'm Aria!" Aria says in a sing song voice.

"I'm Spencer. When I heard my new neighbor was the daughter of the famous Ryhorn rider, I had to meet you." Spencer says with intrigue in her voice.

"Nice to meet you both. I'm Samantha. This is my friend, Emily and my girlfriend, Hanna."

"Why are you saying it's nice to meet them? We are already know them." Hanna simply says and Emily gives her an elbow. "Ow! What was that for?"

"They don't know us. Not our world remember?" Emily says in a hush whisper.

"Not your world?" Aria tilts her head at us.

"Not our region is what Emily meant. We come from Sinnoh." I explain.

"Sinnoh? That's so cool. Isn't that cool Spencer? Our neighbors are from Sinnoh." Aria says with that sing song voice again, twirling a bit. This Aria is a goof but I am already liking her. "Oh! Spencer. Tell them why we are here?" Aria gives Spencer a love tap on the shoulder.

Spencer laughs. "Calm down Ar." She looks at us and smiles. "Today we all are getting our pokemon."

Aria jumps up and down. "Our very first pokemon! Our starter! I'm excited! Aren't you excited?!" She jumps on Spencer's back. "Come on! Let's go to Aquacorde Town. Mona and Paige are waiting for us." She smacks Spencer on her ass.

"Aria!" Spencer blushes and clears her throat. "If you would follow me." Spencer smiles once more at us before leaving the yard with Aria on her back.

"Well...that was...wow." Hanna says.

"I think that was kinda awesome. It was nice." Emily says.

"I agree. It was cute. I think there are a couple in this world." I say.

"Girls! Come on!" We hear Aria call out to us.

"Better not keep her waiting." I laugh as we leave the yard. We see a huge gate that leads to Route 1. After a short walk on the route (not that big of a route) we reach Aquacorde Town. I look over to my left and see Mona and Paige sitting at a table. We approach them. "Hi. I'm…"

Paige cuts me off. "Samantha. And that's…" She points to Hanna. "...Hanna and that's…" She points to Emily and a huge blush comes across her face. "...the most beautiful girl I ever….I mean Emily. That's Emily!" She sits down and covers her face a bit.

Mona laughs a bit. "Don't mind Paige. She's a goof. So wow. You guys look just like what Aria said you would."

"Told ya they are cute!" Aria's voice comes out of nowhere. She joins us at the table followed by Spencer. "I told you that Sammie, Em and Han were cute."

Paige smiles. "Alright you did. Nice stuff Lil Ar." Aria beams at her. "So Mo Mo. You got something for everyone."

Mona goes into her bag and pulls out two small boxes. "These are pokemon. Three from this region and three from the Hoenn region." She opens the Kalos starters box first. "Since you guys are our guests, you guys get to pick first. The left pokeball is the grass pokemon, Chespin. The middle pokeball is the fire pokemon, Fennekin. The right pokeball is the water pokemon, Froakie. Samantha...you get to pick first."

"Me?" I point to myself. "I don't want to…" I am cut off by the middle pokeball opening up. Fennekin jumps out and attaches itself to Emily.

"Aww! This thing is cute! It looks like a fox." Emily pats its head and Fennekin gives out a happy like bark noise. "Looks like this will be my starter."

"For sure thought you would choose the water type Em." Hanna says.

"This little lady choose me and I am then happy to choose it." Emily replies while petting Fennekin.

"Well I am going for the water type." Hanna grabs pokeball that contains Froakie and tosses it inches away from her. (That's right...taught the girls how to open a pokeball when explaining things.) Froakie hops out and jumps on Hanna's head. "Ahhhhhh! It's a frog!" Froakie looks into Hanna's eyes and I can tell by the look on Hanna's face, she is already liking him. "Well...I guess I can get use to him...he is kinda cool. The fact he can hop like that is kinda boss."

Mona laughs. "Well Samantha...that leaves Chespin for you."

"Cool. I was hoping for Chespin anyway." I grab the ball and held it in my hand. "Come out Chespin." The ball opens and Chespin comes out and has a huge smile on it's face. It calls out to me and I tap my shoulder. It understands and climbs up my body to sit on my left shoulder.

"Wow. Your pokemon seems to like you guys already." Mona smiles at us and turns to the other girls. "Ladies get your pokemon." After they choose their pokemon, (Aria chose Treecko. Spencer chose Torchic. Paige chose Mudkip) we got our pokedex. "This is the pokedex."

"Hey babe? This is the thing you told us about earlier right?" Hanna says as she examines the dex.

"Yeah. Just point it at a pokemon and it gives you information. Can get more by catching pokemon too." I explain to her. "Point it at Froakie." She points it at Froakie and the dex starts talking.

"Froakie. The bubble frog pokemon. It protects its skin by covering its body in delicate bubbles. Beneath its happy-go-lucky air, it keeps a watchful eye on its surroundings."

"Okay. That is legit."

"Aww man! Our pokemon are so cute!" Aria says, dancing with her Treecko. "Treecko is so awesome. Can't wait to spend more time with it."

"So girls. Are you going to help us with the pokedex?" Mona asks with a hopeful look.

I look at Emily and Hanna. They give a nod. "Yes. We will help with the dex."
